📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

There is one alone, and there is no second; he has neither son nor brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, nor is his eye satisfied with riches. “And for whom do I toil and deprive my soul of good?” This too is vanity and an evil distraction.
There is no end to all the people, to all who were before them; yet those who come last will not rejoice in him. For this too is vanity and a choice of wind.
Guard your foot whenever you go to the house of God, and draw near to hear; your sacrifice is better than the gift of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.
