τοῖς πᾶσιν χρόνος καὶ καιρὸς τῷ παντὶ πράγματι ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
凡事都有定時，天下萬務都有定期。
3:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καιρὸς τοῦ τεκεῖν καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ἀποθανεῖν καιρὸς τοῦ φυτεῦσαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ἐκτῖλαι πεφυτευμένον
A time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted.
生產有時，死亡有時；栽種有時，拔出所栽種的也有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ ἀποκτεῖναι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ἰάσασθαι καιρὸς τοῦ καθελεῖν καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι
A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build.
殺戮有時，醫治有時；拆毀有時，建造有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ κλαῦσαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ γελάσαι καιρὸς τοῦ κόψασθαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ὀρχήσασθαι
A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.
哭有時，笑有時；哀慟有時，跳舞有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ βαλεῖν λίθους καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ συναγαγεῖν λίθους καιρὸς τοῦ περιλαβεῖν καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ μακρυνθῆναι ἀπὸ περιλήμψεως
A time to cast stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to keep far from embracing.
拋擲石頭有時，堆聚石頭有時；懷抱有時，遠離懷抱有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ ζητῆσαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ἀπολέσαι καιρὸς τοῦ φυλάξαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ἐκβαλεῖν
A time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away.
尋找有時，失落有時；保守有時，拋棄有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ ῥῆξαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ ῥάψαι καιρὸς τοῦ σιγᾶν καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ λαλεῖν
A time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak.
撕裂有時，縫補有時；靜默有時，言語有時。

καιρὸς τοῦ φιλῆσαι καὶ καιρὸς τοῦ μισῆσαι καιρὸς πολέμου καὶ καιρὸς εἰρήνης
A time to love and a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace.
喜愛有時，恨惡有時；爭戰有時，和平有時。

τίς περισσεία τοῦ ποιοῦντος ἐν οἷς αὐτὸς μοχθεῖ
What profit has the worker in that at which he toils?
作工的人在他所勞碌的事上有甚麼益處呢？
3:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
εἶδον σὺν τὸν περισπασμόν ὃν ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ περισπᾶσθαι ἐν αὐτῷ
I saw the distraction that God has given to the sons of man, to be distracted by it.
我見神把煩擾交給世人，使他們在其中忙亂。
3:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
σὺν τὰ πάντα ἐποίησεν καλὰ ἐν καιρῷ αὐτοῦ καί γε σὺν τὸν αἰῶνα ἔδωκεν ἐν καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν ὅπως μὴ εὕρῃ ὁ ἄνθρωπος τὸ ποίημα ὃ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεός ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς καὶ μέχρι τέλους
He has made all things beautiful in their time; he has also put eternity in their heart, so that man may not find out the work that God has done from the beginning to the end.
他使萬物各按其時成為美好；又將永遠放在他們心裡，使人查不出神從始至終的作為。
3:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἔγνων ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἀγαθὸν ἐν αὐτοῖς εἰ μὴ τοῦ εὐφρανθῆναι καὶ τοῦ ποιεῖν ἀγαθὸν ἐν ζωῇ αὐτοῦ
I knew that there is nothing good among them except to rejoice and to do good in one’s life.
我知道在他們中間沒有甚麼美善，惟有歡喜，並在一生中行善。
3:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καί γε πᾶς ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς φάγεται καὶ πίεται καὶ ἴδῃ ἀγαθὸν ἐν παντὶ μόχθῳ αὐτοῦ δόμα θεοῦ ἐστιν
And also that every man who eats and drinks and sees good in all his toil—this is a gift of God.
並且每一個人吃喝，在一切勞碌中得見福樂，這也是神的恩賜。
3:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἔγνων ὅτι πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν ὁ θεός αὐτὰ ἔσται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐπ’ αὐτῷ οὐκ ἔστιν προσθεῖναι καὶ ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀφελεῖν καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἐποίησεν ἵνα φοβηθῶσιν ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ
I knew that whatever God does, it shall be forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. And God has done this so that they may fear before him.
我知道神一切所作的都必存到永遠；無可增添，無可減少。神這樣行，是要人在他面前存敬畏的心。
3:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τὸ γενόμενον ἤδη ἐστίν καὶ ὅσα τοῦ γίνεσθαι ἤδη γέγονεν καὶ ὁ θεὸς ζητήσει τὸν διωκόμενον
What has come to be already is, and whatever is to come to be has already been; and God will seek out the one who is pursued.
已有的事早已有了，將有的事也早已有了；神還要尋回那被追趕的。
3:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ ἔτι εἶδον ὑπὸ τὸν ἥλιον τόπον τῆς κρίσεως ἐκεῖ ὁ ἀσεβής καὶ τόπον τοῦ δικαίου ἐκεῖ ὁ ἀσεβής
And further I saw under the sun: in the place of judgment, there was the ungodly; and in the place of the righteous one, there was the ungodly.
我又見日光之下，在審判之處有不敬虔的人，在公義之人的地方也有不敬虔的人。
3:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
εἶπα ἐγὼ ἐν καρδίᾳ μου σὺν τὸν δίκαιον καὶ σὺν τὸν ἀσεβῆ κρινεῖ ὁ θεός ὅτι καιρὸς τῷ παντὶ πράγματι καὶ ἐπὶ παντὶ τῷ ποιήματι
I said in my heart, “God will judge the righteous and the ungodly, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.”
我心裡說：神必審判義人和不敬虔的人，因為萬務萬工都有定時。
3:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ἐκεῖ εἶπα ἐγὼ ἐν καρδίᾳ μου περὶ λαλιᾶς υἱῶν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὅτι διακρινεῖ αὐτοὺς ὁ θεός καὶ τοῦ δεῖξαι ὅτι αὐτοὶ κτήνη εἰσὶν καί γε αὐτοῖς
There I said in my heart concerning the speech of the sons of man, that God will distinguish them and show that they themselves are beasts—yes, even they.
在那裡我心裡說：論到世人的言語，神必分別他們，並要指明他們不過是牲畜，就是他們自己也是如此。
3:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ὅτι συνάντημα υἱῶν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου καὶ συνάντημα τοῦ κτήνους συνάντημα ἓν αὐτοῖς ὡς ὁ θάνατος τούτου οὕτως ὁ θάνατος τούτου καὶ πνεῦμα ἓν τοῖς πᾶσιν καὶ τί ἐπερίσσευσεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος παρὰ τὸ κτῆνος οὐδέν ὅτι τὰ πάντα ματαιότης
For what befalls the sons of man and what befalls the beast is one and the same for them: as this one dies, so dies that one, and there is one spirit for all. And in what has man an advantage over the beast? Nothing; for all is vanity.
因為世人所遭遇的與牲畜所遭遇的是同一件事：這個怎樣死，那個也怎樣死，眾生都同有一樣的氣息；人比牲畜強在哪裡呢？毫無所強，因為一切都是虛空。
3:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
τὰ πάντα πορεύεται εἰς τόπον ἕνα τὰ πάντα ἐγένετο ἀπὸ τοῦ χοός καὶ τὰ πάντα ἐπιστρέφει εἰς τὸν χοῦν
All go to one place; all came from the dust, and all return to the dust.
都歸一處，都是出於塵土，也都歸於塵土。
3:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ τίς οἶδεν πνεῦμα υἱῶν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰ ἀναβαίνει αὐτὸ εἰς ἄνω καὶ πνεῦμα τοῦ κτήνους εἰ καταβαίνει αὐτὸ κάτω εἰς γῆν
And who knows whether the spirit of the sons of man goes upward, and whether the spirit of the beast goes down to the earth?
誰知道世人的靈是否往上升，牲畜的靈是否下降入地呢？
3:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
καὶ εἶδον ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἀγαθὸν εἰ μὴ ὃ εὐφρανθήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐν ποιήμασιν αὐτοῦ ὅτι αὐτὸ μερὶς αὐτοῦ ὅτι τίς ἄξει αὐτὸν τοῦ ἰδεῖν ἐν ᾧ ἐὰν γένηται μετ’ αὐτόν
And I saw that there is nothing good except that a man should rejoice in his works, for that is his portion; for who will bring him to see what will be after him?
我見人莫強如在自己的工作上喜樂，因為這是他的分；他身後將有的事，誰能領他去觀看呢？
