Heretical fathers, having no lawful ground on which to accuse their orthodox children, are compelled, beyond their means, even to furnish those children with nourishment and the other necessaries, and to give them in marriage to orthodox spouses, and to provide dowries and ante-nuptial gifts, under the provision of the governors and bishops. § 1.
