ሊተ ፡ ለአቡክሙ ፡ ስምዑኒ ፡ ደቂቅየ ፡ ወከመዝ ፡ ግበሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሕየዉ ።
Hear me your father, O my children, And do thereafter, that you⌃ may be saved.
我的兒女啊，你們當聽我這作父親的，照著去行，使你們得以蒙拯救。
3:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ አክበረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አበ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ ወአዕበየ ፡ ኵነኔሃ ፡ ለእም ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደቂቃ ።
For the Lord has given the father glory as touching the children, And has confirmed the judgement of the mother as touching the sons.
因為主使父親在兒女面前得尊榮，又堅立母親管教眾子的權柄。
3:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘያከብር ፡ አባሁ ፡ ይትኀደግ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ኀጢአቱ ።
He that honors his father will make atonement for sins:
孝敬父親的，必為自己的罪贖愆。
3:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወከመ ፡ ዘይዘግብ ፡ መዝገበ ፡ ዘያከብራ ፡ ለእሙ ።
And he that gives glory to his mother is as one that lays up treasure.
尊榮母親的，就如積蓄財寶的人。
3:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘያከብር ፡ አባሁ ፡ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ በውሉዱ ፡ ወበዕለተ ፡ ጸሎቱ ፡ ይሰምዖ ፡ ፈጣሪሁ ።
Whoso honors his father will have joy of his children; And in the day of his prayer he will be heard.
孝敬父親的，必因兒女而歡喜；他祈禱的日子，必蒙垂聽。
3:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘያከብር ፡ አባሁ ፡ ይነውኅ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ።
He that gives glory to his father will have length of days; And he that hearkens to the Lord will bring rest to his mother,
尊榮父親的，必得長壽；聽從主的，必使母親得安慰。
3:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዘይሰምዖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ የአርፋ ፡ ለእሙ ።
And will do service under his parents, as to masters.
他必服事生養他的，如同服事主人一般。
3:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወከመ ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፡ ይትቀነይ ፡ ለዘወለዶ ።
In deed and word honor your father, That a blessing may come upon you from him.
當在言行上尊敬你的父親，好使他的祝福臨到你身上。
3:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በቃልከኒ ፡ ወበምግባሪከኒ ፡ አክብሮ ፡ ለአቡከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትብጻሕከ ፡ በረከቱ ።
For the blessing of the father establishes the houses of children; But the curse of the mother roots out the foundations.
因為父親的祝福堅立兒女的家室，母親的咒詛卻拔出根基。
3:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መድኅረ ፡ አብ ፡ ያጸንዕ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ ወመርገም ፡ እም ፡ ይሤሩ ፡ መሠረተ ።
Glorify not yourself in the dishonor of your father; For your father’s dishonor is no glory to you.
不可因父親受羞辱而自以為榮，因為父親的羞辱於你並非榮耀。
3:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢትትመካሕ ፡ በአስተሐቅሮቱ ፡ ለአቡከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢይከውነከ ፡ ምክሖ ፡ አስተሐቅሮ ፡ አቡከ ፡ እስመ ፡ በክብረ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ይከብር ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወኀሣሩ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ አስተሐቅሮታ ፡ ለእሙ ።
For the glory of a man is from the honor of his father; And a mother in dishonor is a reproach to her children.
人的榮耀來自父親的尊榮，母親的羞辱乃是兒女的恥辱。
3:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድየ ፡ ፁር ፡ ርስዓኒሁ ፡ ለአቡከ ፡ ወኢታሕዝኖ ፡ በሕይወቱ ።
My son, help your father in his old age; And grieve him not as long as he lives.
我兒，當在你父親年老時扶助他，他在世的日子，不可使他憂傷。
3:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእመኒ ፡ ልህቀ ፡ ወኀጥአ ፡ ልቦ ፡ ኦሆ ፡ በሎ ፡ ለግዕዙ ፡ ወአክብሮ ፡ በአምጣነ ፡ ትክል ፡ ወኢታስተአክዮ ፡ በርስዓኑ ፡ ለአቡከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ምጽዋቱ ፡ ለአቡከ ፡ ዕሤተ ፡ ኢትትረሣዕ ፡ ለከ ።
And if he fails in understanding, have patience with him; And dishonor him not while you are in your full strength.
他若失去了悟性，你要寬容他；當你正值壯年力盛之時，不可輕看他。
3:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወህየንተ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ ትትሐነጽ ፡ ለከ ፡ ጽድቅ ።
For the relieving of your father will not be forgotten: And instead of sins it will be added to build you up.
因為你對父親所行的善行必不被忘記，反要代替你的罪，建立你的福分。
3:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወበዕለተ ፡ ምንዳቤከ ፡ ይዜከራ ፡ ለከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይመስዎ ፡ ፀሓይ ፡ ለበረድ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ያትመሰዋ ፡ ኃጣውኢከ ።
In the day of your affliction it will remember you; As fair weather upon ice, So will your sins also melt away.
在你患難的日子，這善行必記念你；你的罪必如冰上遇晴日，盡都消融。
3:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጽሩፍ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይገድፎ ፡ ለአቡሁ ፡ ወርጉም ፡ ውእቱ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘያምዕዓ ፡ ለእሙ ።
He that forsakes his father is as a blasphemer; And he that provoketh his mother is cursed of the Lord.
離棄父親的，如同褻瀆者；激怒母親的，必被主咒詛。
3:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድየ ፡ በሃይማኖትከ ፡ ያስተርኢ ፡ ምግባሪከ ፡ ወያፈቅሩከ ፡ ዕደው ፡ ጻድቃን ።
My son, go on with your business in meekness; So will you be beloved of an acceptable man.
我兒，當以溫柔行你的事務，必為蒙悅納之人所愛。
3:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በአምጣነ ፡ ዕበይከ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አትሕት ፡ ርእሰከ ፡ ወትረክብ ፡ ዕሴተ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
The greater you are, humble yourself the more, And you will find favor before the Lord.
你越尊大，越當謙卑己身，就必在主面前蒙恩。
3:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይሴባሕ ፡ በላዕለ ፡ ትሑታን ፡ ወቅዱሳን ።
For great is the potency of the Lord, And he is glorified of those who are lowly.
因為主的權能極大，祂卻被謙卑的人所榮耀。
3:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢትኅሥሥ ፡ ዘይጸንዐከ ፡ ወኢትሕትት ፡ ዘኢይትከሃለከ ፡ ሐሊ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ዘተአዘዝከ ።
Seek not things that are too hard for you, And search not out things that are above your strength.
不要尋求過於你所能及的事，不要查究超乎你力量的事。
3:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዘኅቡዕሰ ፡ ኢያስተኀልፈከ ።
The things that have been commanded you, think thereupon; For you have no need of the things that are secret.
凡所吩咐你的，當思想遵行，因為隱祕的事與你無關。
3:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኢትኅሥሥ ፡ በብዝኀ ፡ ምግባሪከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ዘአርአዩከ ፡ ለከ ።
Be not over busy in your superfluous works: For more things are showed to you than men can understand.
不要在分外的事上多管閒事，因為向你顯明的，已超過人所能領會的。
3:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለብዙኃን ፡ አስሐቶሙ ፡ ትዝኅርቶሙ ፡ ወለብዙኃን ፡ አውደቆሙ ፡ ትዕቢተ ፡ ልቦሙ ።
For the conceit of many has led them astray; And evil surmising has caused their judgement to slip.
因為許多人被自己的妄想引入迷途，惡念使他們的判斷失足。
3:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘይፈትዋ ፡ ለመንሱት ፡ ባቲ ፡ ይመውት ፡ ልብ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ይደዊ ፡ በደኃሪቱ ።
A stubborn heart will fare ill at the last; And he that loves danger will perish therein.
剛硬的心，結局必受禍患；喜愛危險的，必死在其中。
3:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልብ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ይትቀሠፍ ፡ በሕማም ፡ ወኃጥእሰ ፡ ይዌስክ ፡ ኀጢአተ ፡ በላዕለ ፡ ኃጣውኢሁ ።
A stubborn heart will be laden with troubles; And the sinner will heap sin upon sin.
剛硬的心，必被困苦壓沉；罪人必罪上加罪。
3:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መንሱቶሙ ፡ ለዕቡያን ፡ አልባቲ ፡ ፈውሰ ፡ እስመ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ተክል ፡ ገብረ ፡ ሥርወ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
The calamity of the proud is no healing; For a plant of wickedness has taken root in him.
驕傲人的災禍無從醫治，因為惡的根苗已在他裡面紮根。
3:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልበ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ይፌክር ፡ አምሳለ ፡ ወእዝነ ፡ ማዕምር ፡ ትፈቱ ፡ ጥበበ ።
The heart of the prudent will understand a parable; And the ear of a listener is the desire of a wise man.
明達人的心能領悟箴言；願意聽從的耳，是智者所渴慕的。
3:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ለእሳት ፡ እንተ ፡ ትነድድ ፡ ያጠፍዓ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወምጽዋት ፡ ተኀድግ ፡ ኀጢአተ ።
Water will quench a flaming fire; And almsgiving will make atonement for sins.
水能澆滅烈火，施捨能贖人的罪。
3:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ለዘይፈዲ ፡ ዕሴተ ፡ ይዜከራ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ለደኃሪቱ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ይድኅፅ ፡ ይረክብ ፡ በዘያሰምከ ።
He that requites good turns is mindful of that which comes afterward; And in the time of his falling he will find a support.
報答恩惠的人，懷念日後的結局；在他跌倒之時，必尋得倚靠。
