እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፈጠሮሙ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወካዕበ ፡ ያገብኦ ፡ ውስቴታ ።
The Lord created man of the earth, And turned him back to it again.
主從塵土造了人，又使他歸回塵土。
17:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ኍልቊ ፡ ወአኰነኖሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘውስቴታ ።
He gave them days by number, and a set time, And gave them authority over the things that are thereon.
他賜給他們有限的日子和定期，又賜給他們權柄管理地上的萬物。
17:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወአልበሶሙ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ዘዘዚአሆሙ ፡ ወበአምሳለ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ገብሮሙ ።
He endued them with strength proper to them; And made them according to his own image.
他照自己的樣式賜他們力量，照自己的形像造了他們。
17:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወገብረ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ይፍርህዎሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘነፍስ ፡ ወይቅንይዎሙ ፡ ለአራዊት ፡ ወለአዕዋፍ ።
He put the fear of man upon all flesh, And gave him to have dominion over beasts and fowls.
他使一切血肉之軀都懼怕人，又使人管轄走獸飛鳥。
17:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ወልሳነ ፡ ወዐይነ ፡ ወእዝነ ፡ ወልበ ፡ በዘ ፡ ይኄልዩ ።
Counsel, and tongue, and eyes, Ears, and heart, gave he them to understand withal.
他賜給他們思慮、舌頭、眼睛、耳朵和心，使他們能領悟。
17:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አእምሮ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ አጽገቦሙ ፡ ወአርአዮሙ ፡ እኪተኒ ፡ ወሠናይተኒ ።
He filled them with the knowledge of wisdom, And showed them good and evil.
他以智慧的知識充滿他們，將善與惡指示他們。
17:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወወደየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርእዮሙ ፡ ዕበየ ፡ ግብሩ ።
He set his eye upon their hearts, To show them the majesty of his works.
他把眼目放在他們心上，向他們顯明他作為的尊大。
17:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከመ ፡ ይትናገሩ ፡ በዕበየ ፡ ግብሩ ።
He added to them discipline, and gave them the law of life for an inheritance.
他將訓誨加給他們，又使他們承受生命的律法為產業。
17:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከመ ፡ ይሰብሕዎ ፡ ለስሙ ፡ ቅዱስ ፤
And they will praise the name of his holiness, That they may declare the majesty of his works.
他們要頌讚他至聖的名，好叫他們述說他作為的尊大。
17:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ጥበበ ፡ ወሕገ ፡ ዘያሐይዎሙ ፡ አውረሶሙ ።
He added to them knowledge, And gave them a law of life for a heritage.
他將知識加給他們，又賜給他們生命的律法為基業。
17:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኪዳነ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ ተካየዶሙ ፡ ወነገሮሙ ፡ ኵነኔሁ ።
He made an everlasting covenant with them, And showed them his judgements.
他與他們立永遠的約，將他的典章指示他們。
17:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወቃለ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ፡ ሰምዐት ፡ እዝኖመጁ ።
Their eyes saw the majesty of his glory; And their ear heard the glory of his voice.
他們親眼看見他榮耀的尊大，親耳聽見他聲音的榮耀。
17:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወአዘዞሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ቢጾሙ ።
And he said to them, Beware of all unrighteousness; And he gave them commandment, each man concerning his neighbor.
他對他們說：『要遠避一切不義』，又吩咐他們各人善待自己的鄰舍。
17:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወቅድሜሁ ፡ ፍናዊሆሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ወአልቦሙ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ይትኀብኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ።
Their ways are ever before him; They will not be hid from his eyes.
他們的道路常在他面前，總不能從他眼前隱藏。
17:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ሤመ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ወእስራኤል ፡ ኮነ ፡ ክፍለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
For every nation he appointed a ruler; And Israel is the Lord’s portion.
他為各國立了治理者，惟有以色列是主的分。
17:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኵሉ ፡ ግብሮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ወአዕይንቲሁ ፡ ዘልፈ ፡ ይኔጽራ ፡ ፍናዊሆሙ ።
All their works are as the sun before him; And his eyes are continually upon their ways.
他們一切的作為都如同日光顯在他面前，他的眼目也不住地察看他們的道路。
17:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኢይትኀባእ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ጌጋዮሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Their iniquities are not hid from him; And all their sins are before the Lord.
他們的不義不能向他隱藏，他們一切的罪都在主面前。
17:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ምጽዋቱ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማኅተም ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ዕሴቱ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ከመ ፡ ብንተ ፡ ዐይን ፡ ትትዐቀብ ፡ ሎቱ ።
With him the alms of a man is as a signet; And he will keep the bounty of a man as the apple of the eye.
在他那裡，人的施捨如同印記，他必保守人的恩惠如同眼中的瞳人。
17:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወድኅረ ፡ ይትመየጦ ፡ ወየዐስዮ ፡ ወፍዳ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ ያገብእ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ርእሶሙ ።
Afterwards he will rise up and recompense them, And render their recompense upon their head.
此後他必興起施行報應，將他們的報應歸到他們頭上。
17:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወባሕቱ ፡ ወሀቦሙ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ በዘ ፡ ይኔስሑ ፡ ወያስፌሥሖሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ቀብጹ ፡ ተስፋሆሙ ።
Howbeit to those who repent he granteth a return; And he comforteth those who are losing patience.
然而對悔改的人，他賜下回轉之路，並安慰那些失去忍耐的人。
17:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ተመየጥ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወ [ኅድጋ ፡ ለኀጢአት ]፤ተጋነይ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ ወነስሕ ፡ አበሳከ ።
Return to the Lord, and forsake sins: Make your prayer before his face, and lessen the offence.
你要歸向主，撇棄罪惡；要在他面前祈求，減少你的過犯。
17:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወግባእ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ልዑል ፡ ወተመየጥ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዐመፃ ፡ ወጽላእ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ርኩስ ፡[ፈድፋደ ]።
Turn again to the Most High, and turn away from iniquity; And greatly hate the abominable thing.
你要回轉歸向至高者，遠離不義，極其憎惡可憎之事。
17:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መኑ ፡ ይሴብሖ ፡ ለልዑል ፡ በመቃብር ፡ ከመ ፡ ሕያዋን ፡ እለ ፡ ይትጋነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ።
Who will give praise to the Most High in the grave, Instead of them which live and return thanks?
在陰間，誰能代替活人向至高者獻上頌讚與感謝呢？
17:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለዘ ፡ሞተሰ ፡ወኢከመ ፡ ምንትሂ ፡ ንስሓ ፡ ኀለፎ ፡ በሕይወትከ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትትፌሣሕ ፡ ሰብሖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
Thanksgiving perishes from the dead, as from one that is not: He that is in life and health will praise the Lord.
死人的感謝已歸於無有，如同已不存在；惟有活著健康的人才能頌讚主。
17:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ምሕረቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይሣሀሎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይትጋነዩ ፡ ሎቱ ።
How great is the mercy of the Lord, And his forgiveness to those who turn to him!
主的憐憫何等浩大，他向歸向他之人的赦免又是何等廣大！
17:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ኢይክል ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ከዊነ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እስመ ፡ መዋቲ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።
For all things can’t be in men, Because the son of man is not immortal.
因為人不能擁有一切，畢竟人子並非不朽。
17:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ምን [ት ]፡ ይበርህ ፡ እምነ ፡ ፀሓይ ፡ ወውእቱሂ ፡ ይጠፍእ ፡ ወእኩየ ፡ ይኄሊ ፡ ዘሥጋ ፡ ወደም ።
What is brighter than the sun? yet this fails: And an evil man will think on flesh and blood.
有什麼比日頭更明亮？這日頭尚且要虧蝕；血肉之軀更要思想邪惡。
17:32▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወውእቱሰ ፡[ኢ ]ያአምር ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ልዕልና ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ወእጓለ ፡ እመሕያውሰ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሐመድ ፡ ወመሬት ፡ ውእቱ ።
He looks upon the power of the height of heaven: And all men are earth and ashes.
他鑒察天上至高的能力，眾人卻不過是塵土與灰燼。
