በነገር ፡ ዘይትጋነይ ፡ ይመይጥ ፡ መዓተ ፡ ባሕቱ ፡ ቃል ፡ ማኅዘኒ ፡ ያነሥዕ ፡ ጋእዘ ።
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
回答柔和，使怒消退； 言語暴戾，觸動怒氣。
15:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልበ ፡ ጠቢባን ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ተአምር ፡ ወአፈ ፡ ዐብዳንሰ ፡ ይዜኑ ፡ እኩየ ።
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools gush out folly.
智慧人的舌善發知識； 愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。
15:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መካን ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወያስተሐይፅ ፡ እኩያነ ፡ ወኄራነ ።
Yahweh’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
耶和華的眼目無處不在； 惡人善人，他都鑒察。
15:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መፈውሰ ፡ ልሳን ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወዘሰ ፡ የዓቅብ ፡ ይመልእ ፡ መንፈሰ ።
A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.
溫良的舌是生命樹； 乖謬的嘴使人心碎。
15:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ያስተአኪ ፡ ተግሣፀ ፡ አብ ፡ ወዘሰ ፡ የዓቅብ ፡ ተግሣፀ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ውእቱ ።
A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.
愚妄人藐視父親的管教； 領受責備的，得着見識。
15:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእደ ፡ ትበዝኅ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ኃይል ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ወረሲዓንሰ ፡ እምሥርዎሙ ፡ እምድር ፡ ይሤረዉ ።
In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.
義人家中多有財寶； 惡人得利反受擾害。
15:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከናፍረ ፡ ጠበብት ፡ እሡር ፡ በአእምሮ ፡ ወልበ ፡ ዐብዳንሰ ፡ አኮ ፡ ጽኑዕ ።
The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.
智慧人的嘴播揚知識； 愚昧人的心並不如此。
15:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መሥዋዕተ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወጸሎተ ፡ ኄራንሰ ፡ ሥሙር ፡ በኀቤሁ ።
The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡； 正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。
15:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ርኩስ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ ወለእለሰ ፡ ይዴግንዋ ፡ ለጽድቅ ፡ ያፈቅሮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.
惡人的道路，為耶和華所憎惡； 追求公義的，為他所喜愛。
15:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ትእምርተ ፡ የዋሃን ፡ ትትዓወቅ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እለ ፡ የኀልፉ ፡ ወእለሰ ፡ ይጸልኡ ፡ ዝልፈተ ፡ ይመውቱ ፡ በእኩይ ።
There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way. Whoever hates reproof shall die.
捨棄正路的，必受嚴刑； 恨惡責備的，必致死亡。
15:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ገሃነም ፡ ወሞት ፡ ክሡታን ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እፎ ፡ እንከ ፡ ልበ ፡ ሰብእኒ ።
Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men!
陰間和滅亡尚在耶和華眼前， 何況世人的心呢？
15:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢያፈቅር ፡ ዓብድ ፡ እለ ፡ ይጌሥፅዎ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ጠቢባን ፡ ኢይትናገር ።
A scoffer doesn’t love to be reproved; he will not go to the wise.
褻慢人不愛受責備； 他也不就近智慧人。
15:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልብ ፡ እምከመ ፡ ትትፌሣሕ ፡ ትበርህ ፡ ገጽ ፡ ወእመሰ ፡ ተኀዝን ፡ ትዴምን ።
A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but an aching heart breaks the spirit.
心中喜樂，面帶笑容； 心裏憂愁，靈被損傷。
15:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልብ ፡ ርትዕት ፡ ተኃሥሥ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ አፈ ፡ ዓብዳንሰ ፡ የኃሥሥ ፡ እከየ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕለ ።
The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
聰明人心求知識； 愚昧人口吃愚昧。
15:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አዕንተ ፡ እኩያን ፡ ይሴፈዋ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ወኄራንሰ ፡ ያረምሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ።
All the days of the afflicted are wretched, but one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.
困苦人的日子都是愁苦； 心中歡暢的，常享豐筵。
15:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ትኄይስ ፡ ንስቲት ፡ መክፈልት ፡ ዘበፍርሃተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመዛግብት ፡ ዓበይት ፡ ዘበኢፈሪህ ።
Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, than great treasure with trouble.
少有財寶，敬畏耶和華， 強如多有財寶，煩亂不安。
15:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ይኄይስ ፡ ፍተ ፡ ሐምል ፡ ፍቅር ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ እምላሕም ፡ መግዝዕ ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ጽልእ ።
Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, than a fattened calf with hatred.
吃素菜，彼此相愛， 強如吃肥牛，彼此相恨。
15:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ብእሲ ፡ መዓትም ፡ ያስተዴሉ ፡ ጋእዘ ፡ ወመስተዓግሥሂ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኮነትኒ ፡ ያጠፍእ ፡ ወረሲዕሰ ፡ ያነሥእ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ጽልእ ።
A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.
暴怒的人挑啟爭端； 忍怒的人止息紛爭。
15:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍናወ ፡ ሃካይያን ፡ ንጹፍ ፡ አሥዋክ ፡ ወዘጽኑዓንሰ ፡ መጽያሕት ።
The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway.
懶惰人的道像荊棘的籬笆； 正直人的路是平坦的大道。
15:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ያስተፌሥሕ ፡ አባሁ ፡ ወወልድ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ያጼእል ፡ እሞ ።
A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother.
智慧子使父親喜樂； 愚昧人藐視母親。
15:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍናወ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ነዳየ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ጠዋያት ፡ ወብእሲሰ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ አርቲዖ ፡ የሐውር ።
Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding keeps his way straight.
無知的人以愚妄為樂； 聰明的人按正直而行。
15:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ያጠርዩ ፡ ሕሊና ፡ እለ ፡ ያከብሩ ፡ ማኅበረ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ልበ ፡ መካርያን ፡ ትነብር ፡ ምክር ።
Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.
不先商議，所謀無效； 謀士眾多，所謀乃成。
15:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኢይሰምዓ ፡ ላቲ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይብል ፡ ጥዑም ፡ ወሠናይ ፡ ለማኅበር ።
Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!
口善應對，自覺喜樂； 話合其時，何等美好。
15:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍናወ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ሕሊናሁ ፡ ለጠቢብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተግኂሦ ፡ እም ፡ ሲኦል ፡ ይድኅን ።
The path of life leads upward for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol.
智慧人從生命的道上升， 使他遠離在下的陰間。
15:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አብያተ ፡ ጸአልያን ፡ ያንኅል ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወያጸንዕ ፡ ወሰነ ፡ መበለት ።
Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, but he will keep the widow’s borders intact.
耶和華必拆毀驕傲人的家， 卻要立定寡婦的地界。
15:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ምኑን ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐልዮ ፡ ዓመፃ ፡ ወለንጹሐንሰ ፡ ነገሮሙ ፡ አዳም ።
Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the thoughts of the pure are pleasing.
惡謀為耶和華所憎惡； 良言乃為純淨。
15:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ያኃጒል ፡ ርእሶ ፡ ዘሕልያነ ፡ ይነሥእ ፡ ወዘይጸልእሰ ፡ ነሢአ ፡ ሕልያን ፡ ይድኅን ።
He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.
貪戀財利的，擾害己家； 恨惡賄賂的，必得存活。
15:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በምጽዋት ፡ በሃይማኖት ፡ ይሠረይ ፡ ኃጢአት ፡ ወበፈሪሃ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይትገኃሥ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እኩይ ።
The heart of the righteous weighs answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.
義人的心，思量如何回答； 惡人的口吐出惡言。
15:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልበ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ይትሜሀር ፡ ሃይማኖተ ፡ ወአፈ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ያወሥእ ፡ እኩያተ ።
Yahweh is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
耶和華遠離惡人， 卻聽義人的禱告。
15:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ሥሙራት ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ወበእንቲአሆሙ ፡ ጸላእትኒ ፡ አዕርክተ ፡ ይከውኑ ።
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones.
眼有光，使心喜樂； 好信息，使骨滋潤。
15:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ነዋኀ ፡ ይርኅቅ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምረሲዓን ፡ ወጸሎተ ፡ ጻድቃንሰ ፡ ይሰምዕ ፡ ይኄይስ ፡ ኅዳጥ ፡ ኅብስት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ እምብዙኅ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ዘምስለ ፡ ዓመፃ ።
The ear that listens to reproof lives, and will be at home among the wise.
聽從生命責備的， 必常在智慧人中。
15:32▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልበ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ኄር ፡ ይሔሊ ፡ ጽድቀ ፡ ከመ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይረትዕ ፡ ኣሠሩ ፡ ዓይን ፡ ዘይኔጽር ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ያስተፌሥሕ ፡ ልበ ፡ ወዜና ፡ ኂሩት ፡ ያጠልል ፡ አዕፅምትየ ።
He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who listens to reproof gets understanding.
棄絕管教的，輕看自己的生命； 聽從責備的，卻得智慧。
15:33▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘይሰምዕ ፡ ዘለፋ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ጠቢባን ፡ ይዴመር ።
The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的訓誨； 尊榮以前，必有謙卑。
15:34▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዘይትከላእ ፡ እምተግሣፅ ፡ ይጸልእ ፡ ርእሶ ፡ ዘያፈቅርሰ ፡ ተግሣፀ ፡ ያፈቅር ፡ ርእሶ ።
The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的訓誨； 尊榮以前，必有謙卑。
