ወልድ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ያስተፌሥሕ ፡ አባሁ ፡ ወወልድ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ያኃዝና ፡ ለእሙ ።
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
所羅門的箴言： 智慧之子使父親歡樂； 愚昧之子叫母親擔憂。
10:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢይበቊዕ ፡ መዛግብት ፡ ለኃጥአን ፡ ጽድቅሰ ፡ ታድኅን ፡ እሞት ።
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
不義之財毫無益處； 惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。
10:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢያስተፄንስ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ ጻድቅተ ፡ ወሕይወተ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ያአትት ፡ እምድር ።
Yahweh will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
耶和華不使義人受飢餓； 惡人所欲的，他必推開。
10:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እድ ፡ ሀካይ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ያቴሕት ፡ ወእደ ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ያብዕል ።
He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
手懶的，要受貧窮； 手勤的，卻要富足。
10:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድ ፡ ምሁር ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ይከውን ፡ ወዓብድሰ ፡ ላእከ ፡ ይሬሲ ፡ ርእሶ ፡ ድኅነ ፡ እመርቄ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ጠቢብ ።
He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame.
夏天聚斂的，是智慧之子； 收割時沉睡的，是貽羞之子。
10:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ይትጌበር ፡ በማእረር ፡ ወወልድሰ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ይነውም ፡ በማእረር ፡ ነሣኤ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ይከውን ፡ በውስተ ፡ ዓውድ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ኃጥእ ።
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
福祉臨到義人的頭； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。
10:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በረከተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ አፈረሲዓንሰ ፡ ይፌጽም ፡ ላህ ፡ ግብተ ።
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
義人的紀念被稱讚； 惡人的名字必朽爛。
10:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዝክረ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ምስለ ፡ ውዳሴ ፡ ወስመ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ይጠፍእ ።
The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.
心中智慧的，必受命令； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。
10:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ልብ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ይትዌከፍ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ ወዘኢይትዔገሥ ፡ በከናፍሪሁ ፡ በማዕቅፍ ፡ ይወድቅ ።
He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.
行正直路的，步步安穩； 走彎曲道的，必致敗露。
10:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዘየሐውር ፡ በየዋሃት ፡ የሐውር ፡ እሙነ ፡ ወዘይትሀወክ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ይትከሠት ።
One who winks with the eye causes sorrow, but a chattering fool will fall.
以眼傳神的，使人憂患； 口裏愚妄的，必致傾倒。
10:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዘይትቃጸብ ፡ በአዕይንቲሁ ፡ ለእከይ ፡ ያስተጋብእ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ኃዘነ ፡ ወዘሰ ፡ ይዘልፍ ፡ ገሃደ ፡ ሰላመ ፡ ይገብር ።
The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
義人的口是生命的泉源； 強暴蒙蔽惡人的口。
10:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ነቅዐ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፈ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ወለአፈ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ ይከድኖ ፡ ኃጒል ።
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
恨能挑啟爭端； 愛能遮掩一切過錯。
10:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጽልአ ፡ ያነሥእ ፡ መዓት ፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትገአዙ ፡ ይከድኖሙ ፡ ፍቅር ።
Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
明哲人嘴裏有智慧； 無知人背上受刑杖。
10:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ብእሲ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ እምከናፍሪሁ ፡ ያወጽእ ፡ ጥበበ ፡ በበትር ፡ ይዘብጥ ፡ (ይዘበጥ )፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ልብ ።
Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin.
智慧人積存知識； 愚妄人的口速致敗壞。
10:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጠቢብ ፡ የኃብእ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ወአፍ ፡ ጒጒእ ፡ ይቀርብ ፡ ለቅጥቃጤ ።
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
富戶的財物是他的堅城； 窮人的貧乏是他的敗壞。
10:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጥሪቶሙ ፡ ለአብዕልት ፡ ሀገር ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ ወቅጥቃጤሆሙ ፡ ለረሲዓን ፡ ንዴተ ፡ አእምሮ ።
The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin.
義人的勤勞致生； 惡人的進項致死 。
10:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ግብረ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ሕይወተ ፡ ይገብር ፡ ወፍሬ ፡ ረሲዓን ፡ ኀጢአት ።
He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
謹守訓誨的，乃在生命的道上； 違棄責備的，便失迷了路。
10:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍናወ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ የዓቅብ ፡ ተግሣፅ ፡ በተግሣፅ ፡ ዘኢይዘለፍ ፡ ይስሕት ።
He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
隱藏怨恨的，有說謊的嘴； 口出讒謗的，是愚妄的人。
10:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከናፍር ፡ ልሙጻት ፡ ይከድና ፡ ጽልአ ፡ ወእለሰ ፡ ያወጽኡ ፡ ጽእለተ ፡ ዓብዳን ፡ እሙንቱ ።
In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
多言多語難免有過； 禁止嘴唇是有智慧。
10:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እምብዝኀ ፡ ነገር ፡ ኢያመስጥ ፡ ኃጥእ ፡ እምኃጢአት ፡ ወዘይምህከሰ ፡ በከናፍሪሁ ፡ ማእምረ ፡ ይከውን ።
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
義人的舌乃似高銀； 惡人的心所值無幾。
10:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ብሩር ፡ ርሱን ፡ ልሳነ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ ወልበ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ የሐፅፅ ።
The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.
義人的口教養多人； 愚昧人因無知而死亡。
10:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከናፍረ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ የአምራ ፡ ነዋኀ ፡ ወዓብዳንሰ ፡ በንዴተ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ይመውቱ ።
Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
耶和華所賜的福使人富足， 並不加上憂慮。
10:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በረከተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ታብዕል ፡ ወኢታመጽእ ፡ ኀዘነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልብ ።
It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure.
愚妄人以行惡為戲耍； 明哲人卻以智慧為樂。
10:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወስተ ፡ ሐጒል ፡ ይትመየጥ ፡ ረሲዕ ፡ ፍትወቱ ፡ ለጻድቅ ፡ ሥምረት ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
What the wicked fear will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.
惡人所怕的，必臨到他； 義人所願的，必蒙應允。
10:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
በኅልፈተ ፡ ዓውሎ ፡ ይማስን ፡ ረሲዕ ፡ ጻድቅሰ ፡ ተግኂሦ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ይድኅን ።
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.
暴風一過，惡人歸於無有； 義人的根基卻是永久。
10:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከመ ፡ ቆዕ ፡ ከንቱ ፡ ለስነን ፡ ወጢስ ፡ ለዓይን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ኃጢአት ፡ ለእለ ፡ አጥረይዋ ።
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
懶惰人叫差他的人 如醋倒牙，如煙薰目。
10:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ያነውኅ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ወዓመተ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ይውኅድ ።
The fear of Yahweh prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
敬畏耶和華使人日子加多； 但惡人的年歲必被減少。
10:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ትጐነዲ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ፡ ምስለ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ተስፋሆሙሰ ፡ ለረሲዓን ፡ ትትኀጐል ።
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.
義人的盼望必得喜樂； 惡人的指望必致滅沒。
10:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፅንዑ ፡ ለኄር ፡ ፈሪሀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወቀቅጥቃጤ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ እኩየ ።
The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
耶和華的道是正直人的保障， 卻成了作孽人的敗壞。
10:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጻድቅ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ኢይኤብስ ፡ ወረሲዓንሰ ፡ ኢየኀድሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.
義人永不挪移； 惡人不得住在地上。
10:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አፈ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ይነብብ ፡ ጥበበ ፡ ወልሳነ ፡ ዓማፅያን ፡ ይትኀጐል ።
The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.
義人的口滋生智慧； 乖謬的舌必被割斷。
10:32▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከናፍረ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ያውኅዛ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ወአፈ ፡ ረሲዓንሰ ፡ ይትከላእ ፡ እምአእምሮ ።
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse.
義人的嘴能令人喜悅； 惡人的口說乖謬的話。
