ወልድየ ፡ እመ ፡ ተኀበይኮ ፡ ለዓርክከ ፡ ትሁብ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ለእድው ።
My son, if you have become collateral for your neighbor, if you have struck your hands in pledge for a stranger,
我兒，你若為朋友作保， 替外人擊掌，
6:2▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወሥገርት ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከናፍሪሁ ፡ ለብእሲ ፡ ወይትኃጐል ፡ በከናፍረ ፡ አፉሁ ።
you are trapped by the words of your mouth; you are ensnared with the words of your mouth.
你就被口中的話語纏住， 被嘴裏的言語捉住。
6:3▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ግበር ፡ ወልድየ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ ወኄረዓል ፡ እስመ ፡ እመጻእከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደው ፡ እኩያን ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዓርክከ ፡ ኩን ፡ ኢተሀካዬ ፡ ወወሀኮ ፡ ለዓርክከ ፡ ዘተሀበይኮ ።
Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself, since you have come into the hand of your neighbor. Go, humble yourself. Press your plea with your neighbor.
我兒，你既落在朋友手中， 就當這樣行才可救自己： 你要自卑，去懇求你的朋友。
6:4▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኢተሀቦን ፡ ንዋመ ፡ ለአዕይንቲከ ፡ ወኢድቃሰ ፡ ለቀራንብቲከ ።
Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids.
不要容你的眼睛睡覺； 不要容你的眼皮打盹。
6:5▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከመ ፡ ትድኃን ፡ ከመ ፡ ወይጠል ፡ እመሥገርት ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዖፍ ፡ እመጽፈርት ።
Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.
要救自己，如鹿脫離獵戶的手， 如鳥脫離捕鳥人的手。
6:6▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ተመየጥ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ቃሕም ፡ ኦ ፡ ሀካይ ፡ ወኢትኩን ፡ ሀካየ ፡ ወቅናእ ፡ ርእየከ ፡ ፍናዊሁ ፡ ወኩን ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise;
懶惰人哪， 你去察看螞蟻的動作就可得智慧。
6:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወውእቱ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ወፍር ፡ አልቦ ፡ ወዘሂ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘያጌብሮ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ያስተጋብእ ፡ በሐጋይ ፡ ሲሳዮ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ አመ ፡ ማእረር ፡ ወይትጌበር ፡ ዘያነብር ።
which having no chief, overseer, or ruler,
螞蟻沒有元帥， 沒有官長，沒有君王，
6:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አው ፡ ሑር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንኅብ ፡ ወአእምር ፡ ከመ ፡ መስተገብርት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወትግብርታሂ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ትገብር ፡ እንተ ፡ ፃማሃ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ዓብዳን ፡ ይነሥኡ ፡ ለሕይወት ፡ እንተ ፡ ትትፈቅድ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ወክብርት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወበኃይል ፡ ጽብስት ፡ ወበግብራሰ ፡ ጽንዕት ።
provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
尚且在夏天預備食物， 在收割時聚斂糧食。
6:9▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ጥበበ ፡ አክቢራ ፡ አስተርአየት ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ ሀካይ ፡ ትሰክብ ፡ ወማእዜ ፡ እምንዋምከ ፡ ትነቅሕ ።
How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?
懶惰人哪，你要睡到幾時呢？ 你何時睡醒呢？
6:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ሕቀ ፡ ትነውም ፡ ወሕቀ ፡ ትነብር ፡ ሕቀ ፡ ትዴቅስ ፡ ወሕቀ ፡ ታስተጋብእ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ዲበ ፡ እንግድዓከ ።
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—
再睡片時，打盹片時， 抱着手躺臥片時，
6:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእምዝ ፡ ይመጽእከ ፡ ግብተ ፡ ከመ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ሐዋርያ ፡ ንዴት ፡ ወተፅናስ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኄር ፡ ረዋጺ ።
so your poverty will come as a robber, and your scarcity as an armed man.
你的貧窮就必如強盜速來， 你的缺乏彷彿拿兵器的人來到。
6:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእመሰ ፡ ኢኮንከ ፡ ሀካየ ፡ ይመጽአከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ነቅዕ ፡ ማእረርከ ፡ ወንዴትሰ ፡ ከመ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ረዋጺ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ይርኅቅ ፡ እምኔከ ።
A worthless person, a man of iniquity, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,
無賴的惡徒， 行動就用乖僻的口，
6:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ብእሲ ፡ ዓብድ ፡ ወዓማፂ ፡ የሐውር ፡ ፍናወ ፡ ዘኢኮና ፡ ኄራተ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ይቀጽብ ፡ በዓይን ፡ ወያኤምር ፡ በእግር ፡ ወያኤምር ፡ በቅጽበተ ፡ አፃብዕ ።
who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, who motions with his fingers,
用眼傳神， 用腳示意， 用指點劃，
6:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዕሉት ፡ ልብ ፡ ትሔሊ ፡ እኩየ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ዘከመዝ ፡ ያመጽእ ፡ ሀከከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሀገር ።
in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.
心中乖僻， 常設惡謀， 布散紛爭。
6:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወእንቲአሁ ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ግብተ ፡ ሕጒለት ፡ ወዝብጠት ፡ ወቅጥቃጤ ፡ ዘኢየሐዩ ።
Therefore his calamity will come suddenly. He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy.
所以，災難必忽然臨到他身； 他必頃刻敗壞，無法可治。
6:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ዘይጸልእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይትቀጠቀጥ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ርኵሰ ፡ ነፍሱ ።
There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him:
耶和華所恨惡的有六樣， 連他心所憎惡的共有七樣：
6:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ናሁ ፡ ስሱ ፡ ዘይጸልእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሳብዖምሰ ፡ ሰቆራረ ፡ ነፍሱ ።
arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
就是高傲的眼， 撒謊的舌， 流無辜人血的手，
6:18▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዓይነ ፡ ጸአሌ ፡ ወልሳነ ፡ ዓማፄ ፡ ወእደ ፡ ዘይክዑ ፡ ደመ ፡ ጻድቅ ።
a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief,
圖謀惡計的心， 飛跑行惡的腳，
6:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልበ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትወልድ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ሕሊና ፡ ወአእጋረ ፡ እለ ፡ ይትወላወላ ፡ ለገቢረ ፡ እከይ ።
a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.
吐謊言的假見證， 並弟兄中布散紛爭的人。
6:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወዘያነድድ ፡ ስምዐ ፡ ዓማፂ ፡ ወይፌኑ ፡ ጋእዘ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ አኀው ።
My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching.
我兒，要謹守你父親的誡命； 不可離棄你母親的法則 ，
6:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ዕቀብ ፡ ወልድየ ፡ ሕገገ ፡ አቡከ ፡ ወኢትትኀየይ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ እምከ ።
Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.
要常繫在你心上， 掛在你項上。
6:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ደዮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልብከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ወጠብልሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳድከ ።
When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.
你行走，它必引導你； 你躺臥，它必保守你； 你睡醒，它必與你談論。
6:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወሶበኒ ፡ ተሐውር ፡ ንሥኦ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወየሀሉ ፡ ወሶበኒ ፡ ትነውም ፡ የዓቅበከ ፡ ወሶበኒ ፡ ትትነሣእ ፡ ይትናገረከ ።
For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
因為誡命是燈，法則 是光， 訓誨的責備是生命的道，
6:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ማኅቶት ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ ወሕግ ፡ ብርሃን ፡ ወፍኖተ ፡ ሕይወት ፡ ተግሣፅ ፡ ወትምህርት ።
to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue.
能保你遠離惡婦， 遠離外女諂媚的舌頭。
6:25▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወልድየ ፡ ዕቀብ ፡ ትእዛዝየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀብከ ፡ እምብእሲተ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወእምውዴተ ፡ ልሳን ፡ እኩይ ።
Don’t lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids.
你心中不要戀慕她的美色， 也不要被她眼皮勾引。
6:26▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ኢይማዕከ ፡ ሥነ ፡ ፍትወታ ፡ ወኢትሠገር ፡ በአዕይንቲሃ ፡ ወኢትትመሠጥ ፡ በቀራንብቲሃ ።
For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life.
因為，妓女能使人只剩一塊餅； 淫婦獵取人寶貴的生命。
6:27▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ፍቅራ ፡ ለዘማ ፡ እስከ ፡ አሐቲ ፡ ኅብስት ፡ ወብእስትሰ ፡ ለእይው ፡ ክቡራን ፡ ታኀጒል ፡ ነፍሶሙ ፡ ወታሤግር ።
Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned?
人若懷裏搋火， 衣服豈能不燒呢？
6:28▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
መኑ ፡ ዘየዓቊር ፡ እሳተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኅፅኑ ፡ ወአልባሲሁ ፡ ኢይውዕያ ።
Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?
人若在火炭上走， 腳豈能不燙呢？
6:29▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወመኑ ፡ ዘየሐውር ፡ ዲበ ፡ አፍሐመ ፡ እሳት ፡ ወእገሪሁ ፡ ኢይውዕያ ።
So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished.
親近鄰舍之妻的，也是如此； 凡挨近她的，不免受罰。
6:30▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ከማሁ ፡ ዘይበውእ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ኢይነጽሕ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይለክፋ ።
Men don’t despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry,
賊因飢餓偷竊充飢， 人不藐視他，
6:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
አኮ ፡ መንክር ፡ እመ ፡ ተእኀዘ ፡ ሰራቂ ፡ ዘይሰርቅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይሰርቅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያጽግብ ፡ ነፍሶ ፡ ርኅብተ ።
but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the wealth of his house.
若被找着，他必賠還七倍， 必將家中所有的盡都償還。
6:32▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወለእመ ፡ ተእኅዘ ፡ ይፈዲ ፡ ምስብዒተ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ጥሪቶ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያድኅን ፡ ነፍሶ ።
He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.
與婦人行淫的，便是無知； 行這事的，必喪掉生命。
6:33▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወመሐዝሰ ፡ በንዴተ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ኀጒለ ፡ ነፍሱ ፡ ይትጌበር ።
He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away.
他必受傷損，必被凌辱； 他的羞恥不得塗抹。
6:34▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ሕማመ ፡ ወኀሣረ ፡ ይጼውዕ ፡ ወጽእለቱ ፡ ኢይደመሰስ ፡ ለዓለመ ፡ ዓለም ።
For jealousy arouses the fury of the husband. He won’t spare in the day of vengeance.
因為人的嫉恨成了烈怒， 報仇的時候決不留情。
6:35▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
እስመ ፡ ምሉዕ ፡ ምታ ፡ ቅንአተ ፡ ወመዓተ ፡ ወኢይምሕሮ ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ኵነኔ ።
He won’t regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.
甚麼贖價，他都不顧； 你雖送許多禮物，他也不肯干休。
6:36▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ወኢይትዌለጥ ፡ በምንትኒ ፡ ባዛ ፡ ጽልእ ፡ ወኢይትዓረቆ ፡ ወብዙኅ ፡ ሀብት ።
He won’t regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.
甚麼贖價，他都不顧； 你雖送許多禮物，他也不肯干休。
