And behold, a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves; but he himself was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. And they came and woke him, saying: Lord, save us, for we are perishing. And he said to them: Why are you afraid, O you of little faith? Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and the wind ceased. And he said: Be still, be silent. And there came a great calm. And the men marveled, saying: Who and what manner of man is this? For even the winds and the sea he commands, and they obey him.
