33:1
ተሣሀለነ፡ እግዚኦ፡ አምላከ፡ ኵሉ፡ ኀይል፡ ወተመየጠነ።
敬畏主的人，必不遭遇災禍；他雖遇試煉，主也必一再搭救他。
There shall no evil happen to him that fears the Lord; But in temptation once and again will he deliver him.
33:2
ፈኑ፡ ፍርሀተከ፡ ላዕለ፡ ኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ።
智慧人不恨惡律法；在律法上虛偽的人，卻像暴風中的船。
A wise man will not hate the law; But he that is a hypocrite therein is as a ship in a storm.
33:3
ወአንሥእ፡ እዴከ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ነኪር፡ ወይርአዩ፡ ኀይለከ።
明達的人必信靠律法；律法對他是可靠的，如同求問神諭得着明白的指示。
A man of understanding will put his trust in the law; And the law is faithful to him, as when one asks at the oracle.
33:4
በከመ፡ እንዘ፡ ይሬእዩ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ተቀደስከ፡ በኀቤነ፡ ከማሁ፡ እንዘ፡ ንሕነሂ፡ ንሬኢ፡ ተሰባሕ፡ በኀቤሆሙ።
先預備好你的話，然後才能被人聽見；先整理好所學的，然後才作回答。
Prepare your speech, and so shall you be heard; Bind up instruction, and make your answer.
33:5
ወያአምሩከ፡ እሙንቱኒ፡ በከመ፡ አእመርናከ፡ ንሕነ፡ እስመ፡ አልቦ፡ አምላክ፡ ዘእንበሌከ፡ እግዚኦ።
愚昧人的心如車輪，他的思想如轉動的車軸。
The heart of a fool is as a cartwheel; And his thoughts like a rolling axle tree.
33:6
አርኢ፡ ተኣምሪከ፡ ወክሥት፡ ስብሐቲከ።
嘲弄人的朋友，如同發情的駿馬，凡騎上牠的，牠都向他嘶鳴。
A stallion horse is as a mocking friend; He neighs under every one that sits upon him.
33:7
በኀይለ፡ እዴከ፡ ወበክብረ፡ የማንከ።
既然一年每日的光都是出於太陽，為何一日勝過一日呢？
Why does one day excel another, When all the light of every day in the year is of the sun?
33:8
አምጽእ፡ መንሱተ፡ ወፈኑ፡ መቅሠፍተ።
它們是憑著主的知識被分別出來的；祂使節期和節日各有不同。
By the knowledge of the Lord they were distinguished; And he varied seasons and feasts:
33:9
ወሠርዎ፡ ለዐማፂ፡ ወቀጥቅጦ፡ ለፀራዊ።
其中有些日子，祂高舉並使之成聖；有些日子，祂卻定為平常的日子。
Some of them he exalted and hallowed, And some of them has he made ordinary days.
33:10
ተዘከር፡ መሐላሆሙ፡ ወአፍጥና፡ ለዕለቶሙ፤….።
眾人都是出於塵土；亞當也是由地造成的。
And all men are from the ground, And Adam was created of earth.
33:11
ወቅሥፎሙ፡ በመዐት፡ ወበእሳት፡ ወአጥፍኦሙ፡ ለእለ፡ አምሠጡ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ፡ ወእለ፡ አሕሠሙ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብከ፡ ይርከቦሙ፡ ሞቶሙ።
主以祂豐富的知識分別了人，又使他們的道路各有不同。
In the abundance of his knowledge the Lord distinguished them, And made their ways various:
33:12
ወስብሮሙ፡ አርእስቲሆሙ፡ ለመላእክተ፡ ፀር፡ እለ፡ ይብሉ፡ አልቦ፡ ባዕደ፡ ዘእንበሌነ።
其中有些人祂賜福並高舉，有些人祂使之成聖，並使他親近自己；有些人祂咒詛並貶抑，又從他們的地位上把他們傾覆。
Some of them he blessed and exalted, And some of them he hallowed and brought near to himself: Some of them he cursed and brought low, And overthrew them from their place.
33:13
ወአስተጋብኦሙ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ ዘርአ፡ ያዕቆብ።
窯匠手中的泥怎樣，照他的心意可塑成各樣器皿；照樣，人在那造他者的手中，要照祂的判斷得着報應。
As the clay of the potter in his hand, All his ways are according to his good pleasure; So men are in the hand of him that made them, To render to them according to his judgement.
