📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

6:1
Where has your beloved gone, O beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned his gaze, that we may seek him with you?
My beloved has gone down into his garden, to the bowls of spice, to pasture in the gardens and to gather lilies.

I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine; he pastures among the lilies.

6:4
You are beautiful, my companion, as good pleasure, comely as Jerusalem, awesome as armies set in array.
Turn your eyes away from before me, for they have set me aflutter. Your hair is like flocks of goats that have appeared from Gilead.
Your teeth are like flocks of the shorn that have come up from the washing, all of them bearing twins, and there is none barren among them.
Your lips are like a scarlet cord, and your speech is comely. Your cheek is like the rind of the pomegranate, apart from your silence.
There are sixty queens and eighty concubines, and young women without number.

6:9
My dove, my perfect one, is one alone; she is the only one of her mother, she is the chosen of her who bore her. The daughters saw her and will call her blessed; the queens and the concubines also will praise her.
Who is this that looks forth like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, choice as the sun, awesome as armies set in array?

I went down into the nut garden to look at the produce of the valley stream, to see whether the vine had budded. The pomegranates have blossomed; there I will give my breasts to you.
