ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year, to Arthasastha the king: the wine was before me, and I took the wine and gave it to the king; and there was no other before him.
And I said to the king: Let the king live forever! Why should my face not be bad, seeing the city, the house of the tombs of my fathers, has been made desolate, and its gates have been devoured with fire?
And I said to the king: If it seems good to the king, and if your servant is found good before you, so as to send him to Iouda, to the city of the tombs of my fathers, then I will rebuild it.
And the king said to me — and the concubine was sitting beside him — : How long will your journey be, and when will you return? And it seemed good before the king, and he sent me; and I gave him a set time.
And I said to the king: If it seems good to the king, let him give me letters to the prefects beyond the River, so as to let me pass through until I come to Iouda;
and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the park which belongs to the king, so as to give me timber to roof the gates, and for the wall of the city, and for the house into which I shall enter. And the king granted it to me, according to the good hand of God.
And Sanaballat the Aronite heard of it, and Tobia the servant, the Ammonite; and it was bad to them that a man had come to seek good for the sons of Israel.
亞羅尼人參巴拉和那作僕人的亞捫人多比雅聽見了,就大大不悅,因為有人來為以色列子孫謀求好處。

And I came to Ierousalem and was there three days.
And I rose by night, I and a few men with me; and I told no man what God was putting into my heart to do for Israel; and there was no beast with me except the beast on which I was riding.
And I went out by the gate of Golela, and toward the mouth of the spring of the figs, and to the dung gate; and I was breaking along the wall of Ierousalem, which they are pulling down; and its gates had been devoured by fire.
And the watchmen did not know where I had gone or what I was doing; and to the Jews and to the priests and to the honored ones and to the commanders and to the rest who do the works, until then I had told nothing.
And I said to them: You see the evil in which we are — how Ierousalem is desolate and its gates were given over to fire. Come, and let us build up the wall of Ierousalem, and we shall no longer be a reproach.
And I told them of the hand of God, which is good upon me, and the words of the king which he had said to me. And I said: Let us arise and build. And their hands were strengthened for good.
And Sanaballat the Aronite heard, and Tobia the servant, the Ammonite, and Gesam the Arab; and they laughed us to scorn and came against us and said: What is this thing which you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?
And I returned them an answer and said to them: The God of heaven, he will prosper us; and we are his pure servants, and we will build. But as for you, you have no portion nor right nor memorial in Ierousalem.
