Statera dolosa abominatio est apud Dominum , et pondus aequum voluntas ejus .
A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.
詭詐的天平為耶和華所憎惡; 公平的法碼為他所喜悅。

Ubi fuerit superbia , ibi erit et contumelia ; ubi autem est humilitas , ibi et sapientia .
When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom.
驕傲來,羞恥也來; 謙遜人卻有智慧。

Simplicitas justorum diriget eos , et supplantatio perversorum vastabit illos .
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
正直人的純正必引導自己; 奸詐人的乖僻必毀滅自己。

Non proderunt divitiae in die ultionis ; justitia autem liberabit a morte .
Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
發怒的日子資財無益; 惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。

Justitia simplicis diriget viam ejus , et in impietate sua corruet impius .
The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
完全人的義必指引他的路; 但惡人必因自己的惡跌倒。

Justitia rectorum liberabit eos , et in insidiis suis capientur iniqui .
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
正直人的義必拯救自己; 奸詐人必陷在自己的罪孽中。

Mortuo homine impio , nulla erit ultra spes , et exspectatio sollicitorum peribit .
When a wicked man dies, hope perishes, and expectation of power comes to nothing.
惡人一死,他的指望必滅絕; 罪人的盼望也必滅沒。

Justus de angustia liberatus est , et tradetur impius pro eo .
A righteous person is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked takes his place.
義人得脫離患難, 有惡人來代替他。

Simulator ore decipit amicum suum ; justi autem liberabuntur scientia .
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.
不虔敬的人用口敗壞鄰舍; 義人卻因知識得救。

In bonis justorum exsultabit civitas , et in perditione impiorum erit laudatio .
When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting.
義人享福,合城喜樂; 惡人滅亡,人都歡呼。

Benedictione justorum exaltabitur civitas , et ore impiorum subvertetur .
By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
城因正直人祝福便高舉, 卻因邪惡人的口就傾覆。

Qui despicit amicum suum indigens corde est ; vir autem prudens tacebit .
One who despises his neighbor is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding holds his peace.
藐視鄰舍的,毫無智慧; 明哲人卻靜默不言。

Qui ambulat fraudulenter , revelat arcana ; qui autem fidelis est animi , celat amici commissum .
One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret.
往來傳舌的,洩漏密事; 心中誠實的,遮隱事情。

Ubi non est gubernator , populus corruet ; salus autem , ubi multa consilia .
Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
無智謀,民就敗落; 謀士多,人便安居。

Affligetur malo qui fidem facit pro extraneo ; qui autem cavet laqueos securus erit .
He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.
為外人作保的,必受虧損; 恨惡擊掌的,卻得安穩。

Mulier gratiosa inveniet gloriam , et robusti habebunt divitias .
A gracious woman obtains honor, but violent men obtain riches.
恩德的婦女得尊榮; 強暴的男子得資財。

Benefacit animae suae vir misericors ; qui autem crudelis est , etiam propinquos abjicit .
The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
仁慈的人善待自己; 殘忍的人擾害己身。

Impius facit opus instabile , seminanti autem justitiam merces fidelis .
Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
惡人經營,得虛浮的工價; 撒義種的,得實在的果效。

Clementia praeparat vitam , et sectatio malorum mortem .
He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.
恆心為義的,必得生命; 追求邪惡的,必致死亡。

Abominabile Domino cor pravum , et voluntas ejus in iis qui simpliciter ambulant .
Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Yahweh, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.
心中乖僻的,為耶和華所憎惡; 行事完全的,為他所喜悅。

Manus in manu non erit innocens malus ; semen autem justorum salvabitur .
Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.
惡人雖然連手,必不免受罰; 義人的後裔必得拯救。

Circulus aureus in naribus suis , mulier pulchra et fatua .
Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
婦女美貌而無見識, 如同金環帶在豬鼻上。

Desiderium justorum omne bonum est ; praestolatio impiorum furor .
The desire of the righteous is only good. The expectation of the wicked is wrath.
義人的心願盡得好處; 惡人的指望致干忿怒。

Alii dividunt propria , et ditiores fiunt ; alii rapiunt non sua , et semper in egestate sunt .
There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty.
有施散的,卻更增添; 有吝惜過度的,反致窮乏。

Anima quae benedicit impinguabitur , et qui inebriat , ipse quoque inebriabitur .
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself.
好施捨的,必得豐裕; 滋潤人的,必得滋潤。

Qui abscondit frumenta maledicetur in populis ; benedictio autem super caput vendentium .
People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
屯糧不賣的,民必咒詛他; 情願出賣的,人必為他祝福。

Bene consurgit diluculo qui quaerit bona ; qui autem investigator malorum est , opprimetur ab eis .
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him.
懇切求善的,就求得恩惠; 惟獨求惡的,惡必臨到他身。

Qui confidit in divitiis suis corruet : justi autem quasi virens folium germinabunt .
He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.
倚仗自己財物的,必跌倒; 義人必發旺,如青葉。

Qui conturbat domum suam possidebit ventos , et qui stultus est serviet sapienti .
He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
擾害己家的,必承受清風; 愚昧人必作慧心人的僕人。

Fructus justi lignum vitae , et qui suscipit animas sapiens est .
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.
義人所結的果子就是生命樹; 有智慧的,必能得人。
11:31▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Si justus in terra recipit , quanto magis impius et peccator !
Behold, the righteous shall be repaid on the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!
看哪,義人在世尚且受報, 何況惡人和罪人呢?
