40:1
ወበውእቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ሐለመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ሕልመ ፡ ክልኤተ ፡ በአሐቲ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ በእንተ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዐባር ፡ ዘይከውን ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወነቅሀ ፡ እምንዋሙ ፡ ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ መፈክራነ ፡ ሕልም ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወረቀይት ፡ ወነገሮሙ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ሕልሞ ፡ ወኢክህሉ ፡ አእምሮ ።
And in those days Pharaoh dreamed two dreams in one night concerning the matter of the famine that was to come upon all the land, and he awoke from his sleep and called for all the interpreters of dreams who were in Egypt, and the magicians, and he told them his two dreams; but they could not understand.
在那些日子,法老在一夜之間作了兩個夢,論到那要臨到全地的饑荒之事。他從睡夢中醒來,召了埃及一切的圓夢術士和博士來,把他兩個夢告訴他們,他們卻不能明白。
40:2
ወእምዝ ፡ ተዘከሮ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መዘርት ፡ ወነገረ ፡ በእንቲአሁ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ወአውፅእዎ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሞቅሕ ፡ ወነገረ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ሕለሚሁ ።
And then the chief butler remembered Joseph and spake of him to the king, and he brought him forth from the prison, and he told his two dreams before him.
於是酒政長想起約瑟,就向王題說他;他們便把約瑟從監裏提出來,他在王面前述說了那兩個夢。
40:3
ወይቤ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ከመ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ፡ ሕለሚሁ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እሙንቱ ።
And he said before Pharaoh that his two dreams were one, and he said unto him: "Seven years will come (in which there will be) plenty over all the land of Egypt, and after that seven years of famine, such a famine as hath not been in all the land.
他在法老面前說,他那兩個夢原是一個,對他說:「將要來七年豐收,遍滿埃及全地,此後又有七年饑荒,是全地從未有過的大饑荒。」
40:4
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ይሥራዕ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ከያደ ፡ ወይዝግቡ ፡ ሲሲተ ፡ ለሀገር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ዓመታት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ሲሲተ ፡ ለሰብዐቱ ፡ ዓመታተ ፡ ዐባር ፡ ወኢትትሐጐል ፡ ምድር ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ዐባር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኀያል ፡ ይከውን ፡ ጥቀ ።
And now let Pharaoh appoint overseers in all the land of Egypt, and let them store up food in every city throughout the days of the years of plenty, and there will be food for the seven years of famine, and the land will not perish through the famine, for it will be very severe. "
「如今願法老在埃及全地派定督理的人,叫他們在豐年的日子把糧食積蓄在各城裏,這糧便可供那七年饑荒之用,地就不致因饑荒而滅,因為那饑荒必極其嚴重。」
40:5
ወወሀቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ወምሕረተ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲሁ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለላእካኒሁ ፡ ኢንረክብ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ወማእምረ ፡ ዘከመዝ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እስመ ፡ መንፈሰ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌሁ ።
And the Lord gave Joseph favour and mercy in the eyes of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh said unto his servants: "We shall not find such a wise and discreet man as this man, for the spirit of the Lord is with him. "
主使約瑟在法老眼前蒙恩寵憐憫;法老對他的臣僕說:「像這人有神的靈在他裏面,這樣有智慧、有見識的人,我們豈能找著呢?」
40:6
ወሤሞ ፡ ዳግመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ወአኰነኖ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአጽዐኖ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ሰረገላሁ ፡ ካዕብ ፡ ዘፈርዖን ፡
And he appointed him the second in all his kingdom and gave him authority over all Egypt, and caused him to ride in the second chariot of Pharaoh.
他便立約瑟為全國的第二位,治理全埃及,使他坐法老的副車。
40:7
ወአልበሶ ፡ ልብሰ ፡ ቢሶስ ፡ ወአዕነቆ ፡ ባዝግና ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳዱ ።
And he clothed him with byssus garments, and he put a gold chain upon his neck, and (a herald) proclaimed before him "Ël 'Ël wa 'Abirr, " 2 and he placed a ring on his hand and made him ruler over all his house, and magnified him, and said unto him: "Only on the throne shall I be greater than thou. "
他給約瑟穿上細麻衣,把金鍊子戴在他頸項上。
40:8
ወመበለ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአፍቅርዎ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መኳንንቲሁ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ ላእካኒሁ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
And Joseph ruled over all the land of Egypt, and all the princes of Pharaoh, and all his servants, and all who did the king's business loved him, for he walked in uprightness, for he was without pride and arrogance, and he had no respect of persons, and did not accept gifts, but he judged in uprightness all the people of the land.
約瑟治理埃及全地,法老一切的首領、臣僕並一切辦理王事的人都愛他。
40:9
ወተሰናአወት ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብድ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ወምሕረተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ዘመዱ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ያአምርዎ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ይሰምዑ ፡ ስምዐ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወረትዐት ፡ መንግሥተ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ሰይጣነ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ እኩየ ፡
And the land of Egypt was at peace before Pharaoh because of Joseph, for the Lord was with him, and gave him favour and mercy for all his generations before all those who knew him and those who heard concerning him, and Pharaoh's kingdom was well ordered, and there was no Satan and no evil person (therein).
因約瑟的緣故,埃及地在法老面前太平,因為主與他同在,使他在一切認得他、聽聞他的人面前蒙恩寵憐憫,世世代代如此;法老的國治理得井然有序,其中沒有撒但,沒有惡人。
40:10
ወጸውዐ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ስፋንጢፋንስ ።
And the king called Joseph's name Séphán·íphans, and gave Joseph to wife the daughter of Potiphar, the daughter of the priest of Heliopolis, the chief cook.
王給約瑟起名叫撒發那忒巴內亞。
40:11
ወበዕለተ ፡ ቆመ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሠላሳ ፡ ክረምት ፡ አመ ፡ ቆመ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ፈርዖን ።
And on the day that Joseph stood before Pharaoh he was thirty years old [when he stood before Pharaoh ].
約瑟站在法老面前的那日是三十歲。
40:12
ወበውእቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ሞተ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ ወበጽሐ ፡ በከመ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ፍካሬ ፡ ክልኤቱ ፡ ሕልሙ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ነገሮ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ሰብዐቱ ፡ ክረምት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወፈርየት ፡ ምድረ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ አሐቲ ፡ መስፈርት ፡ ዐሠርተ ፡ ወሰማኒተ ፡ ምእተ ፡ መሳፍረ ።
And in that year Isaac died. And it came to pass as Joseph had said in the interpretation of his two dreams, according as he had said it, there were seven years of plenty over all the land of Egypt, and the land of Egypt produced abundantly, one measure (producing) eighteen hundred measures.
那年以撒死了。事情正照約瑟所說兩夢的解釋成就了:埃及全地有七年豐收,地大有出產,一量產一千八百量。
40:13
ወአስተጋብአ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ሲሲተ ፡ ለሀገር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ እስከ ፡ መልአ ፡ ሥርናይ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ይስእኑ ፡ ኆልቆቶ ፡ ወሰፊረ ፡ እምነ ፡ ብዝኁ ።
And Joseph gathered food into every city until they were full of corn until they could no longer count and measure it for its multitude. Footnotes
