25:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר ־הָיָ֤ה עַֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ עַל ־כׇּל ־עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן ־יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֗יא הַשָּׁנָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ית לִנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל ׃
ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος πρὸς Ιερεμιαν ἐπὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν Ιουδα ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ τετάρτῳ τοῦ Ιωακιμ υἱοῦ Ιωσια βασιλέως Ιουδα
Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam , de omni populo Juda , in anno quarto Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda (ipse est annus primus Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis ),
ነገር ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ በራብዕ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ኢዮአቄም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወይእቲ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ቀዳሚተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ለናቡከደነፆር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (this was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
25:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֜ר יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַנָּבִיא֙ עַל ־כׇּל ־עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶ֛ל כׇּל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לֵאמֹֽר ׃
ὃν ἐλάλησεν πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαὸν Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ λέγων
quod locutus est Jeremias propheta ad omnem populum Juda , et ad universos habitatores Jerusalem , dicens :
ዘነገረ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ነቢይ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ።
which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
25:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִן ־שְׁלֹ֣שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֡ה לְיֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ בֶן ־אָמוֹן֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֜ה וְעַ֣ד ׀ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה זֶ֚ה שָׁלֹ֤שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה הָיָ֥ה דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י וָאֲדַבֵּ֧ר אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם אַשְׁכֵּ֥ים וְדַבֵּ֖ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם ׃
ἐν τρισκαιδεκάτῳ ἔτει Ιωσια υἱοῦ Αμως βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης εἴκοσι καὶ τρία ἔτη καὶ ἐλάλησα πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὀρθρίζων καὶ λέγων
A tertiodecimo anno Josiae filii Amon regis Juda , usque ad diem hanc , iste tertius et vigesimus annus , factum est verbum Domini ad me , et locutus sum ad vos , de nocte consurgens et loquens , et non audistis .
እምእመ ፡ ፲ወ፫ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አሞን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዛዕለት ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ፳ወ፫ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወጌሥኩ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ ወነገርኩክሙ ፡ ወአይዳእኩክሙ ፡ ወኢሰማዕክሙ ።
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, Yahweh’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
25:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁלַח֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֜ם אֶֽת ־כׇּל ־עֲבָדָ֧יו הַנְּבִאִ֛ים הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹא ־הִטִּיתֶ֥ם אֶֽת ־אׇזְנְכֶ֖ם לִשְׁמֹֽעַ ׃
καὶ ἀπέστελλον πρὸς ὑμᾶς τοὺς δούλους μου τοὺς προφήτας ὄρθρου ἀποστέλλων καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσατε καὶ οὐ προσέσχετε τοῖς ὠσὶν ὑμῶν
Et misit Dominus ad vos omnes servos suos prophetas , consurgens diluculo , mittensque : et non audistis , neque inclinastis aures vestras ut audiretis ,
ወፈነወ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፡ ነቢያተ ፡ በጽባሕ ፡ ጌሡ ፡ ወፈነወ ፡ ወኢሰማዕክምዎሙ ፡ ወኢያጽማዕክሙ ፡ እዘኒክሙ ፡ ለሰሚዕ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear),
25:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֵאמֹ֗ר שֽׁוּבוּ ־נָ֞א אִ֣ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֤וֹ הָרָעָה֙ וּמֵרֹ֣עַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ עַל ־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם לְמִן ־עוֹלָ֖ם וְעַד ־עוֹלָֽם ׃
λέγων ἀποστράφητε ἕκαστος ἀπὸ τῆς ὁδοῦ αὐτοῦ τῆς πονηρᾶς καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πονηρῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων ὑμῶν καὶ κατοικήσετε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς ἔδωκα ὑμῖν καὶ τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν ἀπ’ αἰῶνος καὶ ἕως αἰῶνος
cum diceret : Revertimini unusquisque a via sua mala , et a pessimis cogitationibus vestris , et habitabitis in terra quam dedit Dominus vobis et patribus vestris , a saeculo et usque in saeculum :
ተመየጡ ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ እምፍኖተ ፡ እከይክሙ ፡ ወእምጌጋየ ፡ ምግባሪክሙ ፡ ወትነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወለአበዊክሙ ፡ እምዓለም ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.
25:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַל ־תֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעׇבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא ־תַכְעִ֤יסוּ אוֹתִי֙ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א אָרַ֖ע לָכֶֽם ׃
μὴ πορεύεσθε ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῦ προσκυνεῖν αὐτοῖς ὅπως μὴ παροργίζητέ με ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν τοῦ κακῶσαι ὑμᾶς
et nolite ire post deos alienos , ut serviatis eis , adoretisque eos : neque me ad iracundiam provocetis in operibus manuum vestrarum , et non affligam vos .
ወኢትሑሩ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ወኢትትልዉ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትቀነዩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወትስግዱ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወኢታምዕዑኒ ፡ በግብረ ፡ እደዊክሙ ፡ ወኢያሐሥም ፡ ብክሙ ።
Don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; then I will do you no harm.”
25:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹא ־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה לְמַ֧עַן (הכעסוני ) [הַכְעִיסֵ֛נִי ] בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיכֶ֖ם לְרַ֥ע לָכֶֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσατέ μου
Et non audistis me , dicit Dominus , ut me ad iracundiam provocaretis in operibus manuum vestrarum , in malum vestrum .
ወኢሰማዕክሙኒ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ታምዕዑኒ ፡ በግብረ ፡ እደዊክሙ ፡ ለአእክዮ ፡ ለክሙ ።
“Yet you have not listened to me,” says Yahweh, “that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.”
25:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת יַ֕עַן אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא ־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֶת ־דְּבָרָֽי ׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπειδὴ οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε τοῖς λόγοις μου
Propterea haec dicit Dominus exercituum : Pro eo quod non audistis verba mea ,
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ነገርየ ።
Therefore Yahweh of Armies says: “Because you have not heard my words,
25:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנְנִ֣י שֹׁלֵ֡חַ וְלָקַחְתִּי֩ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מִשְׁפְּח֨וֹת צָפ֜וֹן נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֗ה וְאֶל ־נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶל֮ עַבְדִּי֒ וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים עַל ־הָאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ וְעַל ־יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ וְעַ֛ל כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֖לֶּה סָבִ֑יב וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים וְשַׂמְתִּים֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה וּלְחׇרְב֖וֹת עוֹלָֽם ׃
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω καὶ λήμψομαι τὴν πατριὰν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἄξω αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ταύτην καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας αὐτὴν καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ κύκλῳ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξερημώσω αὐτοὺς καὶ δώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ εἰς συριγμὸν καὶ εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν αἰώνιον
ecce ego mittam et assumam universas cognationes aquilonis , ait Dominus , et Nabuchodonosor regem Babylonis servum meum , et adducam eos super terram istam , et super habitatores ejus , et super omnes nationes quae in circuitu illius sunt : et interficiam eos , et ponam eos in stuporem et in sibilum , et in solitudines sempiternas .
ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ እፌኑ ፡ ወአነሥእ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በሐውርተ ፡ ሰሜን ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኀበሂ ፡ ናቡከደነፆር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ገብርየ ፡ ወአመጽኦ ፡ ውስተዝ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ዓውዳ ፡ ወአጠፍኦሙ ፡ ወአስማስኖሙ ፡ ወይትፋጸይዋ ፡ ወየኀሥሩ ፡ ለዓለም ።
behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,” says Yahweh, “and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around. I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
25:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י מֵהֶ֗ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּ֑ה ק֥וֹל רֵחַ֖יִם וְא֥וֹר נֵֽר ׃
καὶ ἀπολῶ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν φωνὴν χαρᾶς καὶ φωνὴν εὐφροσύνης φωνὴν νυμφίου καὶ φωνὴν νύμφης ὀσμὴν μύρου καὶ φῶς λύχνου
Perdamque ex eis vocem gaudii et vocem laetitiae , vocem sponsi et vocem sponsae , vocem molae et lumen lucernae .
ወእሥዕር ፡ እምኔሆሙ ፡ ቃለትፍሥሕት ፡ ወቃለ ፡ ኃሤት ፡ ቃለ ፡ መርዓዊ ፡ ወቃለ ፡ መርዓት ፡ ቃለ ፡ ማሕረፅ ፡ ወብርሃነ ፡ ማኅቶት ።
Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
25:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָֽיְתָה֙ כׇּל ־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את לְחׇרְבָּ֖ה לְשַׁמָּ֑ה וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֛לֶּה אֶת ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה ׃
καὶ ἔσται πᾶσα ἡ γῆ εἰς ἀφανισμόν καὶ δουλεύσουσιν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη
Et erit universa terra haec in solitudinem , et in stuporem : et servient omnes gentes istae regi Babylonis septuaginta annis .
ወትማስን ፡ ኵላ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወይትቀነዩ ፡ ለአረሚ ፡ ፸ዓመተ ።
This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
25:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֣ה כִמְלֹ֣אות שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֡ה אֶפְקֹ֣ד עַל ־מֶֽלֶךְ ־בָּבֶל֩ וְעַל ־הַגּ֨וֹי הַה֧וּא נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־עֲוֺנָ֖ם וְעַל ־אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י אֹת֖וֹ לְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹת עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ πληρωθῆναι τὰ ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἐκδικήσω τὸ ἔθνος ἐκεῖνο φησὶν κύριος καὶ θήσομαι αὐτοὺς εἰς ἀφανισμὸν αἰώνιον
Cumque impleti fuerint septuaginta anni , visitabo super regem Babylonis et super gentem illam , dicit Dominus , iniquitatem eorum , et super terram Chaldaeorum , et ponam illam in solitudines sempiternas .
ወኀሊቆ ፡ ፸ዓመት ፡ እትቤቀሎ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወለእሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ለብሔረ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወእሬስዮሙ ፡ ሙሱናነ ፡ ለዓለም ።
“It will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,” says Yahweh, “for their iniquity. I will make the land of the Chaldeans desolate forever.
25:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ (והבאותי ) [וְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ ] עַל ־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֔יא אֶת ־כׇּל ־דְּבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר ־דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי עָלֶ֑יהָ אֵ֤ת כׇּל ־הַכָּתוּב֙ בַּסֵּ֣פֶר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־נִבָּ֥א יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ עַל ־כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִֽם ׃
καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην πάντας τοὺς λόγους μου οὓς ἐλάλησα κατ’ αὐτῆς πάντα τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ
Et adducam super terram illam omnia verba mea , quae locutus sum contra eam , omne quod scriptum est in libro isto , quaecumque prophetavit Jeremias adversum omnes gentes :
ወአመጽእ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገርየ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ፡ በእንቲአሃ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘጽሑፍ ፡ ውስተዝ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ ዘተነበየ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ።
I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
25:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י עָֽבְדוּ ־בָ֤ם גַּם ־הֵ֙מָּה֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדוֹלִ֑ים וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥י לָהֶ֛ם כְּפׇעֳלָ֖ם וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶֽם ׃ {פ}
ἃ ἐπροφήτευσεν Ιερεμιας ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη τὰ Αιλαμ
quia servierunt eis , cum essent gentes multae , et reges magni : et reddam eis secundum opera eorum , et secundum facta manuum suarum .
እስመ ፡ ይቀንይዎሙ ፡ እሙንቱኒ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ ወነገሥት ፡ ዓበይት ፡ ወእፈድዮሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ፡ ወበከመ ፡ ግብረ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ።
For many nations and great kings will make bondservants of them, even of them. I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.”
25:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹה֩ אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֵלַ֔י קַ֠ח אֶת ־כּ֨וֹס הַיַּ֧יִן הַחֵמָ֛ה הַזֹּ֖את מִיָּדִ֑י וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֤ה אֹתוֹ֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י שֹׁלֵ֥חַ אוֹתְךָ֖ אֲלֵיהֶֽם ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος συντριβήτω τὸ τόξον Αιλαμ ἀρχὴ δυναστείας αὐτῶν
Quia sic dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Sume calicem vini furoris hujus de manu mea , et propinabis de illo cunctis gentibus ad quas ego mittam te .
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ንሣእ ፡ ጽዋዓ ፡ ወይን ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ ቱሱሐ ፡ እምዴየ ፡ ወአስትዮሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ እፌንወከ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ አነ ፡ ህየ ።
For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me: “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.
25:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁת֕וּ וְהִֽתְגֹּעֲשׁ֖וּ וְהִתְהֹלָ֑לוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπὶ Αιλαμ τέσσαρας ἀνέμους ἐκ τῶν τεσσάρων ἄκρων τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἀνέμοις τούτοις καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἔθνος ὃ οὐχ ἥξει ἐκεῖ οἱ ἐξωσμένοι Αιλαμ
Et bibent , et turbabuntur et insanient a facie gladii quem ego mittam inter eos .
ከመ ፡ ይስተዩ ፡ ወይንትዑ ፡ ወይመምዑ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ኵናት ፡ እንተ ፡ እፌኑ ፡ አነ ፡ ማእከሎሙ ።
They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send among them.”
25:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶקַּ֥ח אֶת ־הַכּ֖וֹס מִיַּ֣ד יְהֹוָ֑ה וָֽאַשְׁקֶה֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר ־שְׁלָחַ֥נִי יְהֹוָ֖ה אֲלֵיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ πτοήσω αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν τῶν ζητούντων τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς κακὰ κατὰ τὴν ὀργὴν τοῦ θυμοῦ μου καὶ ἐπαποστελῶ ὀπίσω αὐτῶν τὴν μάχαιράν μου ἕως τοῦ ἐξαναλῶσαι αὐτούς
Et accepi calicem de manu Domini , et propinavi cunctis gentibus ad quas misit me Dominus ,
ወነሣእኩ ፡ ውእተ ፡ ጽዋዓ ፡ እምእደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአስተይክዎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ ፈነወኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Then I took the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:
25:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ וְאֶת ־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶת ־מְלָכֶ֖יהָ אֶת ־שָׂרֶ֑יהָ לָתֵ֨ת אֹתָ֜ם לְחׇרְבָּ֧ה לְשַׁמָּ֛ה לִשְׁרֵקָ֥ה וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה ׃
καὶ θήσω τὸν θρόνον μου ἐν Αιλαμ καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐκεῖθεν βασιλέα καὶ μεγιστᾶνας
Jerusalem , et civitatibus Juda , et regibus ejus , et principibus ejus , ut darem eos in solitudinem , et in stuporem , et in sibilum , et in maledictionem , sicut est dies ista :
ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወለአህጉረ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወለነገሥተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወለመላእክቲሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያማስኖሙ ፡ ወይኩኑ ፡ ዓፀ ፡ ወበድወ ፡ ወለመርገም ፡ ከመ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ።
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;
25:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־פַּרְעֹ֧ה מֶלֶךְ ־מִצְרַ֛יִם וְאֶת ־עֲבָדָ֥יו וְאֶת ־שָׂרָ֖יו וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־עַמּֽוֹ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐπ’ ἐσχάτου τῶν ἡμερῶν ἀποστρέψω τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Αιλαμ λέγει κύριος
Pharaoni regi Aegypti , et servis ejus , et principibus ejus , et omni populo ejus :
ወለፈርዖንሂ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወለደቂቁሂ ፡ ወለመሳፍንቲሁ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ አሕዛቡ ።
Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;
25:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־הָעֶ֔רֶב וְאֵ֕ת כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֖י אֶ֣רֶץ הָע֑וּץ וְאֵ֗ת כׇּל ־מַלְכֵי֙ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְאֶת ־אַשְׁקְל֤וֹן וְאֶת ־עַזָּה֙ וְאֶת ־עֶקְר֔וֹן וְאֵ֖ת שְׁאֵרִ֥ית אַשְׁדּֽוֹד ׃
ἐν ἀρχῇ βασιλεύοντος Σεδεκιου τοῦ βασιλέως ἐγένετο ὁ λόγος οὗτος περὶ Αιλαμ
et universis generaliter : cunctis regibus terrae Ausitidis , et cunctis regibus terrae Philisthiim , et Ascaloni , et Gazae , et Accaron , et reliquiis Azoti :
ወለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ይዴመሩ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ዖፅ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ኢሎፍሊ ፡ ወአስቃሎና ፡ ወጋዛ ፡ ወለአቃሮን ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ ዘአዛጦን ።
and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
25:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־אֱד֥וֹם וְאֶת ־מוֹאָ֖ב וְאֶת ־בְּנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹן ׃
— et Idumaeae , et Moab , et filiis Ammon :
ወኤዶምያስ ፡ ወሞአብ ፡ ወለደቂቀ ፡ አሞን ።
Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;
25:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־מַלְכֵי ־צֹ֔ר וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י צִיד֑וֹן וְאֵת֙ מַלְכֵ֣י הָאִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּעֵ֥בֶר הַיָּֽם ׃
— et cunctis regibus Tyri , et universis regibus Sidonis , et regibus terrae insularum qui sunt trans mare :
ወለነገሥተ ፡ ጢሮስ ፡ ወለነገሥተ ፡ ሲዶና ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ደሴት ፡ እለ ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ባሕር ።
and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
25:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־דְּדָ֤ן וְאֶת ־תֵּימָא֙ וְאֶת ־בּ֔וּז וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־קְצוּצֵ֥י פֵאָֽה ׃
— et Dedan , et Thema , et Buz , et universis qui attonsi sunt in comam :
ወለዴዳን ፡ ወቴማን ፡ ወሮስ ፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ ቅሩጻነ ፡ ገጽ ።
Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;
25:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י עֲרָ֑ב וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י הָעֶ֔רֶב הַשֹּׁכְנִ֖ים בַּמִּדְבָּֽר ׃
— et cunctis regibus Arabiae , et cunctis regibus occidentis , qui habitant in deserto :
ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ዐረብ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ሐቅለ ።
and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;
25:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֣ת ׀ כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י זִמְרִ֗י וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י עֵילָ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֥י מָדָֽי ׃
— et cunctis regibus Zambri , et cunctis regibus Elam , et cunctis regibus Medorum :
ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ዘምሪ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ኤላም ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ሜዶን ።
and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
25:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֣ת ׀ כׇּל ־מַלְכֵ֣י הַצָּפ֗וֹן הַקְּרֹבִ֤ים וְהָרְחֹקִים֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל ־אָחִ֔יו וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־הַמַּמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל ־פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וּמֶ֥לֶךְ שֵׁשַׁ֖ךְ יִשְׁתֶּ֥ה אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם ׃
— cunctis quoque regibus aquilonis , de prope et de longe , unicuique contra fratrem suum : et omnibus regnis terrae quae super faciem ejus sunt : et rex Sesach bibet post eos .
ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ሰሜን ፡ ለቅሩባን ፡ ወለርኁቃን ፡ ፩፩ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ እለ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወንጉሠ ፡ ሲሳር ፡ ይስተይ ፡ እምድኅሬሆሙ ።
and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.
25:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֡ם {פ} כֹּה ־אָמַר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל שְׁת֤וּ וְשִׁכְרוּ֙ וּקְי֔וּ וְנִפְל֖וּ וְלֹ֣א תָק֑וּמוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֵיכֶֽם ׃
— Et dices ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Bibite , et inebriamini , et vomite : et cadite , neque surgatis a facie gladii quem ego mittam inter vos .
ወትብሎሙ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ይመልክ ፡ አምላክ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ስትዩ ፡ ወስክሩ ፡ ወተንትኑ ፡ ወደቁ ፡ ወኢትትነሥኡ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ኵናት ፡ እንተ ፡ እፌኑ ፡ አነ ፡ ማእከኬክሙ ።
“You shall tell them, ‘Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.”’
25:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֧י יְמָאֲנ֛וּ לָקַחַת ־הַכּ֥וֹס מִיָּדְךָ֖ לִשְׁתּ֑וֹת וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שָׁת֥וֹ תִשְׁתּֽוּ ׃
— Cumque noluerint accipere calicem de manu tua ut bibant , dices ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus exercituum : Bibentes bibetis :
ወዘኢፈቀደ ፡ ይትመጠዎ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ጽዋዕ ፡ እምእዴከ ፡ ለሰቲይ ፡ በሎሙ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ ሰትየ ፡ ስትዩ ።
It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh of Armies says: “You shall surely drink.
25:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ הִנֵּ֨ה בָעִ֜יר אֲשֶׁ֧ר נִֽקְרָא ־שְׁמִ֣י עָלֶ֗יהָ אָֽנֹכִי֙ מֵחֵ֣ל לְהָרַ֔ע וְאַתֶּ֖ם הִנָּקֵ֣ה תִנָּק֑וּ לֹ֣א תִנָּק֔וּ כִּ֣י חֶ֗רֶב אֲנִ֤י קֹרֵא֙ עַל ־כׇּל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ נְאֻ֖ם יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת ׃
— quia ecce in civitate in qua invocatum est nomen meum ego incipiam affligere , et vos quasi innocentes et immunes eritis ? non eritis immunes : gladium enim ego voco super omnes habitatores terrae , dicit Dominus exercituum .
እስመ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ሀገር ፡ እንተ ፡ ተሰምየ ፡ ስምየ ፡ በላዕሌሃ ፡ አነ ፡ እኴንኖሙ ፡ በእኩይ ፡ አንትሙኑ ፡ ነጺሐ ፡ ትነጽሑ ፡ ኢትነጽሑ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እጼውዕ ፡ ኵናተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ።
For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.”’
25:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַתָּה֙ תִּנָּבֵ֣א אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם יְהֹוָ֞ה מִמָּר֤וֹם יִשְׁאָג֙ וּמִמְּע֤וֹן קׇדְשׁוֹ֙ יִתֵּ֣ן קוֹל֔וֹ שָׁאֹ֤ג יִשְׁאַג֙ עַל ־נָוֵ֔הוּ הֵידָד֙ כְּדֹרְכִ֣ים יַעֲנֶ֔ה אֶ֥ל כׇּל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
— Et tu prophetabis ad eos omnia verba haec , et dices ad illos : Dominus de excelso rugiet , et de habitaculo sancto suo dabit vocem suam : rugiens rugiet super decorem suum : celeuma quasi calcantium concinetur adversus omnes habitatores terrae .
ወአንተ ፡ ተነበይ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ዘነገረ ፡ ወበሎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምአርያም ፡ ይጥሕር ፡ ወእቤተ ፡ መቅደሱ ፡ ይሁብ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ጥሒረ ፡ ይጥሕር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ማኅደሩ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ድንጋፄ ፡ ከመ ፡ እለ ፡ ይቀሥሙ ፡ ወያወሥእ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
“Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and tell them, “‘Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation. He will mightily roar against his fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
25:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּ֤א שָׁאוֹן֙ עַד ־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֣י רִ֤יב לַיהֹוָה֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם נִשְׁפָּ֥ט ה֖וּא לְכׇל ־בָּשָׂ֑ר הָרְשָׁעִ֛ים נְתָנָ֥ם לַחֶ֖רֶב נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
— Pervenit sonitus usque ad extrema terrae , quia judicium Domino cum gentibus : judicatur ipse cum omni carne . Impios tradidi gladio , dicit Dominus .
ይመጽእ ፡ ተሠርዎ ፡ እስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ እስመ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ቅሥተ ፡ ይትዋቀሦሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ይኴንን ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘሥጋ ፡ ወለኃጥኣን ፡ ያገብኦሙ ፡ ለመጥባሕት ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
A noise will come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations. He will enter into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, he will give them to the sword,”’ says Yahweh.”
25:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנֵּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה יֹצֵ֖את מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל ־גּ֑וֹי וְסַ֣עַר גָּד֔וֹל יֵע֖וֹר מִיַּרְכְּתֵי ־אָֽרֶץ ׃
— Haec dicit Dominus exercituum : Ecce afflictio egredietur de gente in gentem , et turbo magnus egredietur a summitatibus terrae .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ ናሁ ፡ ትመጽእ ፡ እኪት ፡ እምሕዝብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወይወፅእ ፡ ዐውሎ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ እምአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ።
Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”
25:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֞וּ חַֽלְלֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא מִקְצֵ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ וְעַד ־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹ֣א יִסָּפְד֗וּ וְלֹ֤א יֵאָֽסְפוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֔רוּ לְדֹ֛מֶן עַל ־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה יִֽהְיֽוּ ׃
— Et erunt interfecti Domini in die illa , a summo terrae usque ad summum ejus : non plangentur , et non colligentur , neque sepelientur : in sterquilinium super faciem terrae jacebunt .
ወይከውኑ ፡ ቅቱላነ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ እምአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ እስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኢያስቆቅዉ ፡ ወኢይትቀበሩ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ስጡሓነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ይከውኑ ።
The slain of Yahweh will be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They won’t be lamented. They won’t be gathered or buried. They will be dung on the surface of the ground.
25:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֵילִ֨ילוּ הָרֹעִ֜ים וְזַעֲק֗וּ וְהִֽתְפַּלְּשׁוּ֙ אַדִּירֵ֣י הַצֹּ֔אן כִּי ־מָלְא֥וּ יְמֵיכֶ֖ם לִטְב֑וֹחַ וּתְפוֹצ֣וֹתִיכֶ֔ם וּנְפַלְתֶּ֖ם כִּכְלִ֥י חֶמְדָּֽה ׃
— Ululate , pastores , et clamate , et aspergite vos cinere , optimates gregis : quia completi sunt dies vestri ut interficiamini , et dissipationes vestrae : et cadetis quasi vasa pretiosa .
ክልሑ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወአውይዉ ፡ አብሐኰ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ እስመ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ መዋዕሊክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይጥብሑክሙ ፡ ወይዝርዉክሙ ፡ ወትወድቁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንዋይ ፡ መፍትው ።
Wail, you shepherds, and cry. Wallow in dust, you leader of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions have fully come, and you will fall like fine pottery.
25:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָבַ֥ד מָנ֖וֹס מִן ־הָרֹעִ֑ים וּפְלֵיטָ֖ה מֵאַדִּירֵ֥י הַצֹּֽאן ׃
— Et peribit fuga a pastoribus , et salvatio ab optimatibus gregis .
ወአልቦ ፡ ዘኢይማስን ፡ እም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወኢይድኅኑ ፡ አብሐኰ ፡ አባግዕ ።
The shepherds will have no way to flee. The leader of the flock will have no escape.
25:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ ק֚וֹל צַעֲקַ֣ת הָרֹעִ֔ים וִֽילְלַ֖ת אַדִּירֵ֣י הַצֹּ֑אן כִּֽי ־שֹׁדֵ֥ד יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מַרְעִיתָֽם ׃
— Vox clamoris pastorum , et ululatus optimatum gregis , quia vastavit Dominus pascua eorum :
ቃለ ፡ አውያቶሙ ፡ ለኖሎት ፡ ወገዓሮሙ ፡ ለአብሐኰ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሠረዎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለመ ፡ ራዕይሆሙ ።
A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leader of the flock, for Yahweh destroys their pasture.
25:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָדַ֖מּוּ נְא֣וֹת הַשָּׁל֑וֹם מִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַף ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
— et conticuerunt arva pacis a facie irae furoris Domini .
ወይወድቅ ፡ መሠንየ ፡ ሰላም ፡ እምገጸ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ መዐቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
The peaceful folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.
25:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ עָזַ֥ב כַּכְּפִ֖יר סֻכּ֑וֹ כִּֽי ־הָיְתָ֤ה אַרְצָם֙ לְשַׁמָּ֔ה מִפְּנֵי֙ חֲר֣וֹן הַיּוֹנָ֔ה וּמִפְּנֵ֖י חֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ ׃ {פ}
— Dereliquit quasi leo umbraculum suum , quia facta est terra eorum in desolationem a facie irae columbae , et a facie irae furoris Domini .
ኀደገ ፡ ከመ ፡ አንበሳ ፡ ማኅደሮ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኮነት ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ ዓፀ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ መዐተ ፡ አረሚ ፡ ወእምገጸ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ መዐቱ ።
He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
