23:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְדָוִ֥יד זָקֵ֖ן וְשָׂבַ֣ע יָמִ֑ים וַיַּמְלֵ֛ךְ אֶת ־שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בְנ֖וֹ עַל ־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ Δαυιδ πρεσβύτης καὶ πλήρης ἡμερῶν καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Σαλωμων τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ
Igitur David , senex et plenus dierum , regem constituit Salomonem filium suum super Israël .
ወልህቀ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ወበጽሐ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ወአንገሦ ፡ ለሰሎሞን ፡ ወልዱ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ በላዕለ ፡ እስራኤል ።
Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
23:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֶּֽאֱסֹף֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־שָׂרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים וְהַלְוִיִּֽם ׃
καὶ συνήγαγεν τοὺς πάντας ἄρχοντας Ισραηλ καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ τοὺς Λευίτας
Et congregavit omnes principes Israël , et sacerdotes atque Levitas .
ወአስተጋብኡ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወካህናተ ፡ ወሌዋውያነ ።
He gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
23:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּסָּֽפְרוּ֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם מִבֶּ֛ן שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה וָמָ֑עְלָה וַיְהִ֨י מִסְפָּרָ֤ם לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָם֙ לִגְבָרִ֔ים שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וּשְׁמוֹנָ֖ה אָֽלֶף ׃
καὶ ἠριθμήθησαν οἱ Λευῖται ἀπὸ τριακονταετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν εἰς ἄνδρας τριάκοντα καὶ ὀκτὼ χιλιάδας
Numeratique sunt Levitae a triginta annis et supra : et inventa sunt triginta octo millia virorum .
ወተፋቀዱ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ እደው ፡ ብፁሐን ፡ ዘዕሥራ ፡ ወሐምስቱ ፡ ዓም ፡ ወከሓ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ኍልቆሙ ፡ በበአርእስቲሆሙ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ እልፍ ፡ ወሰማንያ ፡ ምእት ።
The Levites were counted from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
23:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ מֵאֵ֗לֶּה לְנַצֵּ֙חַ֙ עַל ־מְלֶ֣אכֶת בֵּית ־יְהֹוָ֔ה עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָ֖ה אָ֑לֶף וְשֹׁטְרִ֥ים וְשֹׁפְטִ֖ים שֵׁ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִֽים ׃
ἀπὸ τούτων ἐργοδιῶκται ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου εἴκοσι τέσσαρες χιλιάδες καὶ γραμματεῖς καὶ κριταὶ ἑξακισχίλιοι
Ex his electi sunt , et distributi in ministerium domus Domini , viginti quatuor millia : praepositorum autem et judicum , sex millia .
ወእምእሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ወይገብሩ ፡ ወያስተፋጥኑ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ክልኤቱ ፡ እልፍ ፡ ወአርባዐ ፡ ምእት ፡ ወጸሐፍት ፡ ወመኳንንት ፡ ስሳ ፡ ምእት ፡ ወዓቀብተ ፡ አናቅጽ ፡ አርባዓ ፡ ምእት ።
David said, “Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of Yahweh’s house, six thousand were officers and judges,
23:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַרְבַּ֥עַת אֲלָפִ֖ים שֹׁעֲרִ֑ים וְאַרְבַּ֤עַת אֲלָפִים֙ מְהַֽלְלִ֣ים לַיהֹוָ֔ה בַּכֵּלִ֕ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי לְהַלֵּֽל ׃ {ס}
καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες πυλωροὶ καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες αἰνοῦντες τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν τοῖς ὀργάνοις οἷς ἐποίησεν τοῦ αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ
Porro quatuor millia janitores , et totidem psaltae , canentes Domino in organis quae fecerat ad canendum .
ወካዕበ ፡ እለ ፡ ይሴብሑ ፡ ወይዜምሩ ፡ አርባዓ ፡ ምእት ፡ በእንዚራት ፡ እለ ፡ ገብሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰብሑ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
four thousand were doorkeepers, and four thousand praised Yahweh with the instruments which I made for giving praise.”
23:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֶּחָלְקֵ֥ם דָּוִ֖יד מַחְלְק֑וֹת {ס} לִבְנֵ֣י לֵוִ֔י לְגֵרְשׁ֖וֹן קְהָ֥ת וּמְרָרִֽי ׃ {ס}
καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς Δαυιδ ἐφημερίας τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευι τῷ Γεδσων Κααθ Μεραρι
Et distribuit eos David per vices filiorum Levi , Gerson videlicet , et Caath , et Merari .
ወሤሞሙ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ በበዕብሬቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሌዊ ፡ ወለጌድሶን ፡ ወለቀአት ፡ ወለሜራሪ ።
David divided them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
23:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ לַגֵּרְשֻׁנִּ֖י לַעְדָּ֥ן וְשִׁמְעִֽי ׃ {ס}
καὶ τῷ Παροσωμ τῷ Εδαν καὶ τῷ Σεμεϊ
Filii Gerson : Leedan , et Semei .
ወእምደቂቀ ፡ ጌድሶን ፡ ለሌያዳን ፡ ወለሴሚ ።
Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
23:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֣י לַעְדָּ֗ן הָרֹ֧אשׁ יְחִיאֵ֛ל וְזֵתָ֥ם וְיוֹאֵ֖ל שְׁלֹשָֽׁה ׃ {ס}
υἱοὶ τῷ Εδαν ὁ ἄρχων Ιιηλ καὶ Ζεθομ καὶ Ιωηλ τρεῖς
Filii Leedan : princeps Jahiel , et Zethan , et Joël , tres .
ወደቂቁ ፡ ለሌያዳን ፡ መልአክ ፡ ኢያሄኤል ፡ ወዜቶም ፡ ወዮሄል ፡ ሠለስቱ ።
The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, Zetham, and Joel, three.
23:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֣י שִׁמְעִ֗י (שלמות ) [שְׁלֹמִ֧ית ] וַחֲזִיאֵ֛ל וְהָרָ֖ן שְׁלֹשָׁ֑ה אֵ֛לֶּה רָאשֵׁ֥י הָאָב֖וֹת לְלַעְדָּֽן ׃ {ס}
υἱοὶ Σεμεϊ Σαλωμιθ καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Αιδαν τρεῖς οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῷ Εδαν
Filii Semei : Salomith , et Hosiel , et Aran , tres : isti principes familiarum Leedan .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ሴሚ ፡ ሰሎሚት ፡ ወአዛሄል ፡ ወአራን ፡ እሉ ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሌያዳን ።
The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ households of Ladan.
23:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבְנֵ֣י שִׁמְעִ֔י יַ֣חַת זִינָ֔א וִיע֖וּשׁ וּבְרִיעָ֑ה אֵ֥לֶּה בְנֵֽי ־שִׁמְעִ֖י אַרְבָּעָֽה ׃
καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Σεμεϊ Ιεθ καὶ Ζιζα καὶ Ιωας καὶ Βερια οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σεμεϊ τέσσαρες
Porro filii Semei : Leheth , et Ziza , et Jaus , et Baria : isti filii Semei , quatuor .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ሴሚ ፡ ኢያኤት ፡ ወዚዛ ፡ ወኢያአስ ፡ ወቤሬኣ ፡ እሉ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ አርባዕቱ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሴሚ ።
The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
23:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִי ־יַ֣חַת הָרֹ֔אשׁ וְזִיזָ֖ה הַשֵּׁנִ֑י וִיע֤וּשׁ וּבְרִיעָה֙ לֹא ־הִרְבּ֣וּ בָנִ֔ים וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ לְבֵ֣ית אָ֔ב לִפְקֻדָּ֖ה אֶחָֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἦν Ιεθ ὁ ἄρχων καὶ Ζιζα ὁ δεύτερος καὶ Ιωας καὶ Βερια οὐκ ἐπλήθυναν υἱοὺς καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς οἶκον πατριᾶς εἰς ἐπίσκεψιν μίαν
Erat autem Leheth prior , Ziza secundus : porro Jaus et Baria non habuerunt plurimos filios , et idcirco in una familia , unaque domo computati sunt .
ወኢያኤት ፡ መልአክ ፡ ወዚዛ ፡ ካልኡ ፡ ወኢያአስ ፡ ወበሬኣ ፡ ወኢያብዝኁ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ በአሐዱ ፡ ኍልቊ ።
Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah didn’t have many sons; therefore they became a fathers’ house in one reckoning.
23:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֣י קְהָ֗ת עַמְרָ֥ם יִצְהָ֛ר חֶבְר֥וֹן וְעֻזִּיאֵ֖ל אַרְבָּעָֽה ׃ {ס}
υἱοὶ Κααθ Αμβραμ Ισσααρ Χεβρων Οζιηλ τέσσαρες
Filii Caath : Amram , et Isaar , Hebron , et Oziel , quatuor .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ቀአት ፡ እንበረም ፡ ወይሰዓር ፡ ወኬብሮን ፡ ወአዝሄል ፡ እሉ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ አርባዕቱ ።
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
23:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֥י עַמְרָ֖ם אַהֲרֹ֣ן וּמֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיִּבָּדֵ֣ל אַהֲרֹ֡ן לְֽהַקְדִּישׁוֹ֩ קֹ֨דֶשׁ קׇדָשִׁ֤ים הֽוּא ־וּבָנָיו֙ עַד ־עוֹלָ֔ם לְהַקְטִיר֩ לִפְנֵ֨י יְהֹוָ֧ה לְשָׁרְת֛וֹ וּלְבָרֵ֥ךְ בִּשְׁמ֖וֹ עַד ־עוֹלָֽם ׃
υἱοὶ Αμβραμ Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ διεστάλη Ααρων τοῦ ἁγιασθῆναι ἅγια ἁγίων αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος τοῦ θυμιᾶν ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου λειτουργεῖν καὶ ἐπεύχεσθαι ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος
Filii Amram : Aaron et Moyses . Separatusque est Aaron ut ministraret in Sancto sanctorum , ipse et filii ejus in sempiternum , et adoleret incensum Domino secundum ritum suum , ac benediceret nomini ejus in perpetuum .
ወደቂቀ ፡ እንበረም ፡ አሮን ፡ ወሙሴ ፡ ወተኀርየ ፡ አሮን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትቀደስ ፡ ለቅድስተ ፡ ቅዱሳን ፡ ወደቂቁኒ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ከመ ፡ ይዕጥኑ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወይትለአኩ ፡ ወይጸልዩ ፡ ወይጸውዑ ፡ ስመ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons forever, to burn incense before Yahweh, to minister to him, and to bless in his name forever.
23:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמֹשֶׁ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים בָּנָ֕יו יִקָּרְא֖וּ עַל ־שֵׁ֥בֶט הַלֵּוִֽי ׃ {ס}
καὶ Μωυσῆς ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐκλήθησαν εἰς φυλὴν τοῦ Λευι
Moysi quoque hominis Dei filii annumerati sunt in tribu Levi .
ወሙሴ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወደቂቁኒ ፡ ተሠይሙ ፡ በደቂቀ ፡ ሌዊ ።
But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
23:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֔ה גֵּרְשׁ֖וֹם וֶאֱלִיעֶֽזֶר ׃
υἱοὶ Μωυσῆ Γηρσαμ καὶ Ελιεζερ
Filii Moysi : Gersom et Eliezer .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ጌርሳም ፡ ወአልአዛር ።
The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
23:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֥י גֵרְשׁ֖וֹם שְׁבוּאֵ֥ל הָרֹֽאשׁ ׃
υἱοὶ Γηρσαμ Σουβαηλ ὁ ἄρχων
Filii Gersom : Subuel primus .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ጌርሳም ፡ ሱባሄል ፡ መልአክ ።
The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
23:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּהְי֥וּ בְנֵֽי ־אֱלִיעֶ֖זֶר רְחַבְיָ֣ה הָרֹ֑אשׁ וְלֹא ־הָיָ֤ה לֶאֱלִיעֶ֙זֶר֙ בָּנִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וּבְנֵ֥י רְחַבְיָ֖ה רָב֥וּ לְמָֽעְלָה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ τῷ Ελιεζερ Ρααβια ὁ ἄρχων καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν τῷ Ελιεζερ υἱοὶ ἕτεροι καὶ υἱοὶ Ρααβια ηὐξήθησαν εἰς ὕψος
Fuerunt autem filii Eliezer : Rohobia primus : et non erant Eliezer filii alii . Porro filii Rohobia multiplicati sunt nimis .
ወተወልደ ፡ ለአልአዛር ፡ ረዓብያ ፡ መልአክ ፡ ወእምድኅሬሁ ፡ ኢተወልዱ ፡ ለአልአዛር ፡ ውሉድ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ረዓብያ ፡ በዝኁ ፡ ወልኅቁ ።
The son of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
23:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֥י יִצְהָ֖ר שְׁלֹמִ֥ית הָרֹֽאשׁ ׃
υἱοὶ Ισσααρ Σαλωμωθ ὁ ἄρχων
Filii Isaar : Salomith primus .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ይሰዓር ፡ ሰሎሞት ፡ መልአክ ።
The son of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
23:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֖י חֶבְר֑וֹן יְרִיָּ֤הוּ הָרֹאשׁ֙ אֲמַרְיָ֣ה הַשֵּׁנִ֔י יַֽחֲזִיאֵל֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י וִֽיקַמְעָ֖ם הָרְבִיעִֽי ׃
υἱοὶ Χεβρων Ιδουδ ὁ ἄρχων Αμαδια ὁ δεύτερος Οζιηλ ὁ τρίτος Ικεμιας ὁ τέταρτος
Filii Hebron : Jeriau primus , Amarias secundus , Jahaziel tertius , Jecmaam quartus .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ኬብሮን ፡ ኢያኤርያ ፡ መልአክ ፡ አማርያ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ኢያዜሄል ፡ ሣልስ ፡ ኢያቄምያስ ፡ ራብዕ ።
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
23:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֖י עֻזִּיאֵ֑ל מִיכָ֣ה הָרֹ֔אשׁ וְיִשִּׁיָּ֖ה הַשֵּׁנִֽי ׃
υἱοὶ Οζιηλ Μιχας ὁ ἄρχων καὶ Ισια ὁ δεύτερος
Filii Oziel : Micha primus , Jesia secundus .
ወደቂቀ ፡ አዝሄል ፡ ሚካ ፡ መልአክ ፡ ወኢያስ ፡ ካዕብ ።
The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief, and Isshiah the second.
23:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֤י מְרָרִי֙ מַחְלִ֣י וּמוּשִׁ֔י בְּנֵ֥י מַחְלִ֖י אֶלְעָזָ֥ר וְקִֽישׁ ׃
υἱοὶ Μεραρι Μοολι καὶ Μουσι υἱοὶ Μοολι Ελεαζαρ καὶ Κις
Filii Merari : Moholi , et Musi . Filii Moholi : Eleazar et Cis .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ሜራሪ ፡ ሞዓሊ ፡ ወሐሙሲ ፡ ወደቂቀ ፡ ሞዓሊ ፡ አልአዛር ፡ ወቂስ ።
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
23:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֙מׇת֙ אֶלְעָזָ֔ר וְלֹא ־הָ֥יוּ ל֛וֹ בָּנִ֖ים כִּ֣י אִם ־בָּנ֑וֹת וַיִּשָּׂא֥וּם בְּנֵי ־קִ֖ישׁ אֲחֵיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ελεαζαρ καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτῷ υἱοὶ ἀλλ’ ἢ θυγατέρες καὶ ἔλαβον αὐτὰς υἱοὶ Κις ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν
Mortuus est autem Eleazar , et non habuit filios , sed filias : acceperuntque eas filii Cis fratres earum .
ወሞተ ፡ አልአዛር ፡ ወኢተወልደ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ አዋልድ ፡ ወአውሰብዎን ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ቂስ ፡ አኃዊሆን ።
Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters only; and their relatives, the sons of Kish, took them as wives.
23:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנֵ֣י מוּשִׁ֗י מַחְלִ֥י וְעֵ֛דֶר וִירֵמ֖וֹת שְׁלוֹשָֽׁה ׃ {ס}
υἱοὶ Μουσι Μοολι καὶ Εδερ καὶ Ιαριμωθ τρεῖς
Filii Musi : Moholi , et Eder , et Jerimoth , tres .
ወደቂቀ ፡ ሐሙሲ ፡ ሞዓሊ ፡ ወአዴር ፡ ወኢያሪሞት ፡ ሠለስቱ ፡ እሙንቱ ።
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
23:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵֽי ־לֵוִי֩ לְבֵ֨ית אֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֜ם רָאשֵׁ֧י הָאָב֣וֹת לִפְקוּדֵיהֶ֗ם בְּמִסְפַּ֤ר שֵׁמוֹת֙ לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָ֔ם עֹשֵׂה֙ הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה מִבֶּ֛ן עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה וָמָֽעְלָה ׃
οὗτοι υἱοὶ Λευι κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὸν ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν ποιοῦντες τὰ ἔργα λειτουργίας οἴκου κυρίου ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω
Hi filii Levi in cognationibus et familiis suis , principes per vices , et numerum capitum singulorum qui faciebant opera ministerii domus Domini , a viginti annis et supra .
እሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሌዊ ፡ በቤተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወመላእክተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ በከመ ፡ ኍልቆሙ ፡ በበአርእስቲሆሙ ፡ ወበበአስማቲሆሙ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ወይፌጽሙ ፡ ግብረ ፡ መልእክተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ብፁሐነ ፡ አምጣን ፡ ዘእምዕሥራ ፡ ወኃምስቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ወከሓ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
These were the sons of Levi after their fathers’ houses, even the heads of the fathers’ houses of those who were counted individually, in the number of names by their polls, who did the work for the service of Yahweh’s house, from twenty years old and upward.
23:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֚י אָמַ֣ר דָּוִ֔יד הֵנִ֛יחַ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְעַמּ֑וֹ וַיִּשְׁכֹּ֥ן בִּירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם עַד ־לְעוֹלָֽם ׃
ὅτι εἶπεν Δαυιδ κατέπαυσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἕως αἰῶνος
Dixit enim David : Requiem dedit Dominus Deus Israël populo suo , et habitationem Jerusalem usque in aeternum .
እስመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ አዕረፈ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ወአኅደሮ ፡ ወአንበሮ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
For David said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.
23:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגַ֖ם לַלְוִיִּ֑ם אֵין ־לָשֵׂ֧את אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּ֛ן וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־כֵּלָ֖יו לַעֲבֹדָתֽוֹ ׃
καὶ οἱ Λευῖται οὐκ ἦσαν αἴροντες τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ τὰ πάντα σκεύη αὐτῆς εἰς τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῆς
Nec erit officii Levitarum ut ultra portent tabernaculum et omnia vasa ejus ad ministrandum .
ወሌዋውያንሰ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ አልዕሎ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ግብር ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ይትለአኩ ።
Also the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.”
23:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י בְדִבְרֵ֤י דָוִיד֙ הָאַ֣חֲרוֹנִ֔ים הֵ֖מָּה מִסְפַּ֣ר בְּנֵֽי ־לֵוִ֑י מִבֶּ֛ן עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה וּלְמָֽעְלָה ׃
ὅτι ἐν τοῖς λόγοις Δαυιδ τοῖς ἐσχάτοις ἐστὶν ὁ ἀριθμὸς υἱῶν Λευι ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω
Juxta praecepta quoque David novissima , supputabitur numerus filiorum Levi a viginti annis et supra .
እስመ ፡ በቃላተ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ደኃርት ፡ ጽሑፍ ፡ ኍልቆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ሌዊ ፡ ዘእምዕሥራ ፡ ወሐምስቱ ፡ ዓም ፡ ወከሓ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were counted, from twenty years old and upward.
23:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י מַעֲמָדָ֞ם לְיַד ־בְּנֵ֣י אַהֲרֹ֗ן לַֽעֲבֹדַת֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֔ה עַל ־הַֽחֲצֵרוֹת֙ וְעַל ־הַלְּשָׁכ֔וֹת וְעַֽל ־טׇהֳרַ֖ת לְכׇל ־קֹ֑דֶשׁ וּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֔ה עֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים ׃
ὅτι ἔστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ χεῖρα Ααρων τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου ἐπὶ τὰς αὐλὰς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ παστοφόρια καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν καθαρισμὸν τῶν πάντων ἁγίων καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ
Et erunt sub manu filiorum Aaron in cultum domus Domini , in vestibulis , et in exedris , et in loco purificationis , et in sanctuario , et in universis operibus ministerii templi Domini .
እስመ ፡ አቀሞሙ ፡ በእደ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ አሮን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትለአኩ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወከመ ፡ ይሢም ፡ እምኔሆሙ ፡ ለዓፀደ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወዲበ ፡ መንጠዋልዕ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ንጽሕት ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ቅድሳት ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ።
For their duty was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of Yahweh’s house—in the courts, in the rooms, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of God’s house;
23:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְלֶ֨חֶם הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֜כֶת וּלְסֹ֤לֶת לְמִנְחָה֙ וְלִרְקִיקֵ֣י הַמַּצּ֔וֹת וְלַֽמַּחֲבַ֖ת וְלַמֻּרְבָּ֑כֶת וּלְכׇל ־מְשׂוּרָ֖ה וּמִדָּֽה ׃
εἰς τοὺς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως εἰς τὴν σεμίδαλιν τῆς θυσίας καὶ εἰς τὰ λάγανα τὰ ἄζυμα καὶ εἰς τήγανον καὶ εἰς τὴν πεφυραμένην καὶ εἰς πᾶν μέτρον
Sacerdotes autem , super panes propositionis , et ad similae sacrificium , et ad lagana azyma , et sartaginem , et ad torrendum , et super omne pondus atque mensuram .
ወዲበ ፡ ምሥያመ ፡ ኅብስት ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ሥንዳሌ ፡ ዘምሥዋዕ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ገባትው ፡ በዘይገብሩ ፡ ናእተ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ጤገናት ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ብኁእ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መስፈርት ።
for the show bread also, and for the fine flour for a meal offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all measurements of quantity and size;
23:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלַֽעֲמֹד֙ בַּבֹּ֣קֶר בַּבֹּ֔קֶר לְהֹד֥וֹת וּלְהַלֵּ֖ל לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וְכֵ֖ן לָעָֽרֶב ׃
καὶ τοῦ στῆναι πρωὶ τοῦ αἰνεῖν ἐξομολογεῖσθαι τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἑσπέρας
Levitae vero ut stent mane ad confitendum et canendum Domino : similiterque ad vesperam ,
ወዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ለለጽባሑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰብሑ ፡ ወይግነዩ ፡ ለስመ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ ወከመ ፡ ዝኒ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ሠርከ ።
and to stand every morning to thank and praise Yahweh, and likewise in the evening;
23:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְכֹ֨ל הַעֲל֤וֹת עֹלוֹת֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה לַשַּׁ֨בָּת֔וֹת לֶחֳדָשִׁ֖ים וְלַמֹּעֲדִ֑ים בְּמִסְפָּ֨ר כְּמִשְׁפָּ֧ט עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם תָּמִ֖יד לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐπὶ πάντων τῶν ἀναφερομένων ὁλοκαυτωμάτων τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν τοῖς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν ταῖς νεομηνίαις καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς κατὰ ἀριθμὸν κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν ἐπ’ αὐτοῖς διὰ παντὸς τῷ κυρίῳ
tam in oblatione holocaustorum Domini , quam in sabbatis et calendis et solemnitatibus reliquis juxta numerum et caeremonias uniuscujusque rei , jugiter coram Domino .
ወዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ለለያዓርጉ ፡ ቊርባናተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር ፡ ለለሰናብት ፡ ወለለሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ወለለበዓላት ፡ በከመ ፡ ኍልቈ ፡ ፍትሕ ፡ ወኵነኔ ፡ ዘአዘዞሙ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ፡ በአፈ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቊልዔሁ ።
and to offer all burnt offerings to Yahweh on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Yahweh;
23:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁמְר֞וּ אֶת ־מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת אֹֽהֶל ־מוֹעֵ֗ד וְאֵת֙ מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ וּמִשְׁמֶ֕רֶת בְּנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹ֖ן אֲחֵיהֶ֑ם לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὰς φυλακὰς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς υἱῶν Ααρων ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου
Et custodiant observationes tabernaculi foederis , et ritum sanctuarii , et observationem filiorum Aaron fratrum suorum , ut ministrent in domo Domini .
ወከመ ፡ ይዕቀቡ ፡ ሰዓታተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ ስምዕ ፡ ወሱብሬተ ፡ ሰዓታት ፡ ዘደቂቀ ፡ አሮን ፡ አኃዊሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትለአኩ ፡ በቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሄር ።
and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers for the service of Yahweh’s house.
