22:1
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔יד זֶ֣ה ה֔וּא בֵּ֖ית יְהֹוָ֣ה הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְזֶה־מִּזְבֵּ֥חַ לְעֹלָ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {פ}
καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ οἶκος κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦτο τὸ θυσιαστήριον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν τῷ Ισραηλ
Dixitque David : Haec est domus Dei, et hoc altare in holocaustum Israëli.
ወይቤ፡ ዳዊት፡ ዝንቱ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላኪየ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወዝንቱ፡ ምሥዋዕ፡ ለቊርባናት፡ ለይኩን፡ ለእስራኤል።
Then David said, “This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
22:2
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔יד לִכְנוֹס֙ אֶת־הַגֵּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיַּעֲמֵ֣ד חֹצְבִ֗ים לַחְצוֹב֙ אַבְנֵ֣י גָזִ֔ית לִבְנ֖וֹת בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ συναγαγεῖν πάντας τοὺς προσηλύτους ἐν γῇ Ισραηλ καὶ κατέστησεν λατόμους λατομῆσαι λίθους ξυστοὺς τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ θεῷ
Et praecepit ut congregarentur omnes proselyti de terra Israël, et constituit ex eis latomos ad caedendos lapides et poliendos, ut aedificaretur domus Dei.
ወይቤ፡ ዳዊት፡ አስተጋኡ፡ ኵሎ፡ ፈላስያነ፡ እለ፡ ሀለዉ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድረ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወሤመ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ወቀርተ፡ እብን፡ ወፈሐቅተ፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሄር።
David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut dressed stones to build God’s house.
22:3
וּבַרְזֶ֣ל׀לָ֠רֹ֠ב לַֽמִּסְמְרִ֞ים לְדַלְת֧וֹת הַשְּׁעָרִ֛ים וְלַֽמְחַבְּר֖וֹת הֵכִ֣ין דָּוִ֑יד וּנְחֹ֥שֶׁת לָרֹ֖ב אֵ֥ין מִשְׁקָֽל׃
καὶ σίδηρον πολὺν εἰς τοὺς ἥλους τῶν θυρωμάτων καὶ τῶν πυλῶν καὶ τοὺς στροφεῖς ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ καὶ χαλκὸν εἰς πλῆθος οὐκ ἦν σταθμός
Ferrum quoque plurimum ad clavos januarum, et ad commissuras atque juncturas, praeparavit David : et aeris pondus innumerabile.
ወብዙኅ፡ ሐፂን፡ ዘአምጽኡ፡ ቅትራተ፡ ለኀዋኅው፡ ወለአናቅጽ፡ ወካዕበ፡ አስተዳለወ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ዳዊት፡ ብርተ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ መድሎት፡ ለገርሶት፡ ለግብረ፡ ኀዋኅው፡ ወለባዕድኒ፡ ግብር።
David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates and for the couplings, and bronze in abundance without weight,
22:4
וַעֲצֵ֥י אֲרָזִ֖ים לְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר כִּֽי־הֵ֠בִ֠יאוּ הַצִּידֹנִ֨ים וְהַצֹּרִ֜ים עֲצֵ֧י אֲרָזִ֛ים לָרֹ֖ב לְדָוִֽיד׃ {פ}
καὶ ξύλα κέδρινα οὐκ ἦν ἀριθμός ὅτι ἐφέροσαν οἱ Σιδώνιοι καὶ οἱ Τύριοι ξύλα κέδρινα εἰς πλῆθος τῷ Δαυιδ
Ligna quoque cedrina non poterant aestimari, quae Sidonii et Tyrii deportaverant ad David.
ወዕፀወ፡ ዘግባት፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ፡ እስመ፡ አምጽኡ፡ ሎቱ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ዘግባት፡ ሰብአ፡ ጠሮስ፡ ወሰብአ፡ ሲዶና፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ፡ ለዳዊት።
and cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the people of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.
22:5
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֗יד שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה בְנִי֮ נַ֣עַר וָרָךְ֒ וְהַבַּ֜יִת לִבְנ֣וֹת לַֽיהֹוָ֗ה לְהַגְדִּ֨יל׀לְמַ֜עְלָה לְשֵׁ֤ם וּלְתִפְאֶ֙רֶת֙ לְכׇל־הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת אָכִ֥ינָה נָּ֖א ל֑וֹ וַיָּ֧כֶן דָּוִ֛יד לָרֹ֖ב לִפְנֵ֥י מוֹתֽוֹ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων ὁ υἱός μου παιδάριον ἁπαλόν καὶ ὁ οἶκος τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τῷ κυρίῳ εἰς μεγαλωσύνην ἄνω εἰς ὄνομα καὶ εἰς δόξαν εἰς πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ἑτοιμάσω αὐτῷ καὶ ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ εἰς πλῆθος ἔμπροσθεν τῆς τελευτῆς αὐτοῦ
Et dixit David : Solomon filius meus puer parvulus est et delicatus : domus autem, quam aedificari volo Domino, talis esse debet ut in cunctis regionibus nominetur : praeparabo ergo ei necessaria. Et ob hanc causam ante mortem suam omnes praeparavit impensas.
ወይቤ፡ ዳዊት፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወልድየ፡ ዓዲሁ፡ ደቂቅ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወአጽንዐ፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ ለዕበዩ፡ ወለስሙ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ወለስብሐት፡ በውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምድር፡ ናሁ፡ አስተዳለወ፡ ሎቱ፡ ወአስተዳለወ፡ ዳዊት፡ ብዙኀ፡ ንዋየ፡ ብርት፡ ወሐፂን፡ ወዕፀ፡ ዘግባት፡ ወእብነ፡ ውቁረ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ይሙት።
David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.
22:6
וַיִּקְרָ֖א לִשְׁלֹמֹ֣ה בְנ֑וֹ וַיְצַוֵּ֙הוּ֙ לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֔יִת לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Σαλωμων τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ Ισραηλ
Vocavitque Salomonem filium suum, et praecepit ei ut aedificaret domum Domino Deo Israël.
ወጸውዖ፡ ዳዊት፡ ለሰሎሞን፡ ወልዱ፡ ወነገሮ፡ ከመ፡ ይሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል።
Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.
22:7
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר דָּוִ֖יד לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה (בנו) [בְּנִ֕י] אֲנִי֙ הָיָ֣ה עִם־לְבָבִ֔י לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֔יִת לְשֵׁ֖ם יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃
καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων τέκνον ἐμοὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ ψυχῇ τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ
Dixitque David ad Salomonem : Fili mi, voluntatis meae fuit ut aedificarem domum nomini Domini Dei mei :
ወይቤ፡ ዳዊት፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ወልድየ፡ አንሰ፡ ሐለይኩ፡ በነፍስየ፡ ከመ፡ እሕንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል።
David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.
22:8
וַיְהִ֨י עָלַ֤י דְּבַר־יְהֹוָה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר דָּ֤ם לָרֹב֙ שָׁפַ֔כְתָּ וּמִלְחָמ֥וֹת גְּדֹל֖וֹת עָשִׂ֑יתָ לֹא־תִבְנֶ֥ה בַ֙יִת֙ לִשְׁמִ֔י כִּ֚י דָּמִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים שָׁפַ֥כְתָּ אַ֖רְצָה לְפָנָֽי׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπ’ ἐμοὶ λόγος κυρίου λέγων αἷμα εἰς πλῆθος ἐξέχεας καὶ πολέμους μεγάλους ἐποίησας οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου ὅτι αἵματα πολλὰ ἐξέχεας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐναντίον μου
sed factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens : Multum sanguinem effudisti, et plurima bella bellasti : non poteris aedificare domum nomini meo, tanto effuso sanguine coram me :
ወኮነ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ኀቤየ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፡ ብዙኅ፡ ደመ፡ ከዓውከ፡ ወዓበይተ፡ ጸብዓተ፡ ገበርከ፡ ወአንተ፡ ኢተሐንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስምየ፡ እስመ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ደመ፡ ከዓውከ፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር፡ ቅድሜየ።
But Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.
22:9
הִנֵּה־בֵ֞ן נוֹלָ֣ד לָ֗ךְ ה֤וּא יִֽהְיֶה֙ אִ֣ישׁ מְנוּחָ֔ה וַהֲנִיח֥וֹתִי ל֛וֹ מִכׇּל־אוֹיְבָ֖יו מִסָּבִ֑יב כִּ֤י שְׁלֹמֹה֙ יִֽהְיֶ֣ה שְׁמ֔וֹ וְשָׁל֥וֹם וָשֶׁ֛קֶט אֶתֵּ֥ן עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּיָמָֽיו׃
ἰδοὺ υἱὸς τίκτεταί σοι οὗτος ἔσται ἀνὴρ ἀναπαύσεως καὶ ἀναπαύσω αὐτὸν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἐχθρῶν κυκλόθεν ὅτι Σαλωμων ὄνομα αὐτῷ καὶ εἰρήνην καὶ ἡσυχίαν δώσω ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ
filius qui nascetur tibi, erit vir quietissimus : faciam enim eum requiescere ab omnibus inimicis suis per circuitum : et ob hanc causam Pacificus vocabitur : et pacem et otium dabo in Israël cunctis diebus ejus.
ወናሁ፡ ወልድ፡ ይትወለድ፡ ለከ፡ ወዝንቱ፡ ይከውን፡ ብእሴ፡ ዕሩፈ፡ ወአዐርፎ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ጸላእቱ፡ እለ፡ ዓውዱ፡ እስመ፡ ሰሎሞን፡ ይሰመይ፡ ስሙ፡ ወሰላመ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ወጽማዌ፡ እሁብ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ በመዋዕሊሁ።
Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
22:10
הֽוּא־יִבְנֶ֥ה בַ֙יִת֙ לִשְׁמִ֔י וְהוּא֙ יִֽהְיֶה־לִּ֣י לְבֵ֔ן וַאֲנִי־ל֖וֹ לְאָ֑ב וַהֲכִ֨ינוֹתִ֜י כִּסֵּ֧א מַלְכוּת֛וֹ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
οὗτος οἰκοδομήσει οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματί μου καὶ οὗτος ἔσται μοι εἰς υἱὸν κἀγὼ αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα καὶ ἀνορθώσω θρόνον βασιλείας αὐτοῦ ἐν Ισραηλ ἕως αἰῶνος
Ipse aedificabit domum nomini meo, et ipse erit mihi in filium, et ego ero illi in patrem : firmaboque solium regni ejus super Israël in aeternum.
ወውእቱ፡ የሐንጽ፡ ሊተ፡ ቤተ፡ ለስምየ፡ ወውእቱ፡ ይከውነኒ፡ ወልድየ፡ ወአነኒ፡ እከውኖ፡ አባሁ፡ ወአረትዕ፡ መንበረ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ በውስተ፡ እስራኤል፡ እስከ፡ ለዓለም።
He shall build a house for my name; and he will be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’
22:11
עַתָּ֣ה בְנִ֔י יְהִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה עִמָּ֑ךְ וְהִצְלַחְתָּ֗ וּבָנִ֙יתָ֙ בֵּ֚ית יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֥ר עָלֶֽיךָ׃
καὶ νῦν υἱέ μου ἔσται μετὰ σοῦ κύριος καὶ εὐοδώσει καὶ οἰκοδομήσεις οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ σου ὡς ἐλάλησεν περὶ σοῦ
Nunc ergo fili mi, sit Dominus tecum, et prosperare, et aedifica domum Domino Deo tuo sicut locutus est de te.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ወልድየ፡ ይኩን፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ምስሌከ፡ ወይሠርኅ፡ ለከ፡ ወተሐንጽ፡ ቤተ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክከ፡ በከመ፡ ነበበ፡ በእንቲአከ።
Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.
22:12
אַ֣ךְ יִֽתֶּן־לְךָ֤ יְהֹוָה֙ שֵׂ֣כֶל וּבִינָ֔ה וִֽיצַוְּךָ֖ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלִשְׁמ֕וֹר אֶת־תּוֹרַ֖ת יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
ἀλλ’ ἢ δῴη σοι σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν κύριος καὶ κατισχύσαι σε ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ τοῦ φυλάσσεσθαι καὶ τοῦ ποιεῖν τὸν νόμον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου
Det quoque Dominus prudentiam et sensum ut regere possis Israël, et custodire legem Domini Dei tui.
ወየሀብከ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ጥበበ፡ ወልቡና፡ ወያጽንዕ፡ መንግሥተከ፡ ላዕለ፡ እስራኤል፡ ከመ፡ ትዕቀብ፡ ወትግበር፡ ሕገ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክከ።
May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.
22:13
אָ֣ז תַּצְלִ֔יחַ אִם־תִּשְׁמ֗וֹר לַֽעֲשׂוֹת֙ אֶת־הַחֻקִּ֣ים וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל חֲזַ֣ק וֶאֱמָ֔ץ אַל־תִּירָ֖א וְאַל־תֵּחָֽת׃
τότε εὐοδώσει ἐὰν φυλάξῃς τοῦ ποιεῖν τὰ προστάγματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ἃ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἀνδρίζου καὶ ἴσχυε μὴ φοβοῦ μηδὲ πτοηθῇς
Tunc enim proficere poteris, si custodieris mandata et judicia quae praecepit Dominus Moysi ut doceret Israël. Confortare, et viriliter age : ne timeas, neque paveas.
አሜሃ፡ ይሠርኅ፡ ለከ፡ አመ፡ ሐለይከ፡ ትዕቀብ፡ ወትግበር፡ ትእዛዘ፡ ወፍትሐ፡ ዘአዘዞ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ለሙሴ፡ በእስራኤል፡ ጽናዕ፡ ወትባዕ፡ ወኢትፍራህ፡ ወኢትደንግፅ።
Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid and don’t be dismayed.
22:14
וְהִנֵּ֨ה בְעׇנְיִ֜י הֲכִינ֣וֹתִי לְבֵית־יְהֹוָ֗ה זָהָ֞ב כִּכָּרִ֤ים מֵֽאָה־אֶ֙לֶף֙ וְכֶ֗סֶף אֶ֤לֶף אֲלָפִים֙ כִּכָּרִ֔ים וְלַנְּחֹ֤שֶׁת וְלַבַּרְזֶל֙ אֵ֣ין מִשְׁקָ֔ל כִּ֥י לָרֹ֖ב הָיָ֑ה וְעֵצִ֤ים וַֽאֲבָנִים֙ הֲכִינ֔וֹתִי וַעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם תּוֹסִֽיף׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ κατὰ τὴν πτωχείαν μου ἡτοίμασα εἰς οἶκον κυρίου χρυσίου ταλάντων ἑκατὸν χιλιάδας καὶ ἀργυρίου ταλάντων χιλίας χιλιάδας καὶ χαλκὸν καὶ σίδηρον οὗ οὐκ ἔστιν σταθμός ὅτι εἰς πλῆθός ἐστιν καὶ ξύλα καὶ λίθους ἡτοίμασα καὶ πρὸς ταῦτα πρόσθες
Ecce ego in paupertate mea praeparavi impensas domus Domini, auri talenta centum millia, et argenti mille millia talentorum : aeris vero et ferri non est pondus, vincitur enim numerus magnitudine ; ligna et lapides praeparavi ad universa impendia.
ወነየ፡ አነ፡ በከመ፡ ንዴትየ፡ አስተዳሎኩ፡ ለቤተ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ መካልየ፡ ወርቅ፡ ዓሠርተ፡ እልፈ፡ ወመካልየ፡ ብሩር፡ ምእተ፡ እልፈ፡ ወብርተሰ፡ ወሐፂነ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ መድሎት፡ እስመ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ መሥፈርት፡ ውእቱ፡ ወዕፀወ፡ ዘግባ፡ ወእብንኒ፡ ዘአስተዳሎኩ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ፡ ወአንተኒ፡ ወልድየ፡ ወስክ፡ በላዕሌሁ፡ ከመዝ።
Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for Yahweh’s house one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.
22:15
וְעִמְּךָ֤ לָרֹב֙ עֹשֵׂ֣י מְלָאכָ֔ה חֹצְבִ֕ים וְחָרָשֵׁ֥י אֶ֖בֶן וָעֵ֑ץ וְכׇל־חָכָ֖ם בְּכׇל־מְלָאכָֽה׃
καὶ μετὰ σοῦ εἰς πλῆθος ποιούντων ἔργα τεχνῖται καὶ οἰκοδόμοι λίθων καὶ τέκτονες ξύλων καὶ πᾶς σοφὸς ἐν παντὶ ἔργῳ
Habes quoque plurimos artifices, latomos, et caementarios, artificesque lignorum, et omnium artium ad faciendum opus prudentissimos,
ወአንተኒ፡ ወስክ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ገባረ፡ ወኬንያ፡ ወነደቅተ፡ እብን፡ ወፀረብተ፡ ዕፀው።
There are also workmen with you in abundance—cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work;
22:16
לַזָּהָ֥ב לַכֶּ֛סֶף וְלַנְּחֹ֥שֶׁת וְלַבַּרְזֶ֖ל אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֑ר ק֣וּם וַעֲשֵׂ֔ה וִיהִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ׃
ἐν χρυσίῳ ἐν ἀργυρίῳ ἐν χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν σιδήρῳ οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός ἀνάστηθι καὶ ποίει καὶ κύριος μετὰ σοῦ
in auro et argento et aere et ferro, cujus non est numerus. Surge igitur et fac, et erit Dominus tecum.
ወኵሎ፡ ጠቢበ፡ ዘቦቱ፡ ኪን፡ በወርቅኒ፡ ወበብሩር፡ ወበብርት፡ ወበሐፂን፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ኍልቊ፡ ተንሥእ፡ ወግበር፡ ወፈጽም፡ እስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ምስሌከ።
of the gold, the silver, the bronze, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”
22:17
וַיְצַ֤ו דָּוִיד֙ לְכׇל־שָׂרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לַעְזֹ֖ר לִשְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בְנֽוֹ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐνετείλατο Δαυιδ τοῖς πᾶσιν ἄρχουσιν Ισραηλ ἀντιλαβέσθαι τῷ Σαλωμων υἱῷ αὐτοῦ
Praecepit quoque David cunctis principibus Israël ut adjuvarent Salomonem filium suum :
ወነገሮሙ፡ ዳዊት፡ ለመላእክት፡ እስራኤል፡ ከመ፡ ይርድእዎ፡ ወይትወከፍዎ፡ ለሰሎሞን፡ ወልዱ።
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
22:18
הֲלֹ֨א יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם וְהֵנִ֥יחַ לָכֶ֖ם מִסָּבִ֑יב כִּ֣י׀ נָתַ֣ן בְּיָדִ֗י אֵ֚ת יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ וְנִכְבְּשָׁ֥ה הָאָ֛רֶץ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה וְלִפְנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹ׃
οὐχὶ κύριος μεθ’ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνέπαυσεν ὑμᾶς κυκλόθεν ὅτι ἔδωκεν ἐν χερσὶν τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν καὶ ὑπετάγη ἡ γῆ ἐναντίον κυρίου καὶ ἐναντίον λαοῦ αὐτοῦ
Cernitis, inquiens, quod Dominus Deus vester vobiscum sit, et dederit vobis requiem per circuitum, et tradiderit omnes inimicos vestros in manus vestras, et subjecta sit terra coram Domino, et coram populo ejus.
ወይቤሎሙ፡ ዳዊት፡ አኮኑ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ሀለወ፡ ምስሌክሙ፡ ወአዕረፈክሙ፡ እምኵሎሙ፡ ጸላእትክሙ፡ እለ፡ ዓውድክሙ፡ ወመጠወክሙ፡ ውስተ፡ እደዊክሙ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ ወተአዘዘት፡ ኵላ፡ ምድር፡ ወገረረት፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሄር፡ ወበቅድመ፡ ሕዝበ፡ ዚአሁ።
“Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh and before his people.
22:19
עַתָּ֗ה תְּנ֤וּ לְבַבְכֶם֙ וְנַפְשְׁכֶ֔ם לִדְר֖וֹשׁ לַיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם וְק֗וּמוּ וּבְנוּ֙ אֶת־מִקְדַּשׁ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים לְהָבִ֞יא אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהֹוָ֗ה וּכְלֵי֙ קֹ֣דֶשׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים לַבַּ֖יִת הַנִּבְנֶ֥ה לְשֵׁם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
νῦν δότε καρδίας ὑμῶν καὶ ψυχὰς ὑμῶν τοῦ ζητῆσαι τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ὑμῶν καὶ ἐγέρθητε καὶ οἰκοδομήσατε ἁγίασμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν τοῦ εἰσενέγκαι τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς οἶκον τὸν οἰκοδομούμενον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου
Praebete igitur corda vestra et animas vestras, ut quaeratis Dominum Deum vestrum : et consurgite, et aedificate sanctuarium Domino Deo, ut introducatur arca foederis Domini, et vasa Domino consecrata, in domum quae aedificatur nomini Domini.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ሢሙ፡ አልባቢክሙ፡ ወነፍሰክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ትኅሥሥዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክክሙ፡ ወተንሥኡ፡ ትሕንፁ፡ ቤተ፡ ቅድሳት፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ አምላክክሙ፡ ታብኡ፡ ታቦተ፡ ትእዛዙ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር፡ ወንዋየ፡ ቅድሳት፡ ዘእግዚአብሄር፡ በቤተ፡ ዘተሐንፁ፡ ለስመ፡ እግዚአብሄር።
Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”
