Αἶρε , αἶρε ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς τὸν τοιοῦτον , μεταβέβηκεν ἡ ἀλήθεια ἀπ' ἐκείνης τῆς γενεᾶς ἐπὶ ταύτην τὴν γενεάν
「除掉、除掉這樣的人離開世界!」真理就從那世代轉移到這世代了。
‘Away, away with such a one from the earth!’ — the truth passed from that generation to this generation.

Ἐθεμελίωσας τὴν γῆν καὶ διαμένει
「你立了地的根基,地就常存。」
‘You founded the earth, and it abides.’

Ταύτῃ δὲ τῇ ἀληθείᾳ ἡ γῆ τεθεμελίωται
地正是藉著這真理立定根基的。
And it is by this truth that the earth has been founded.

Ἐπὶ τούτω γὰρ τῷ ἀκρογωνιαίῳ λίθῳ καταβεβλημένῳ θεμελίῳ οἰκοδομοῦνται πάντες οἱ ἐκ γῆς σωζόμενοι
因為凡從地上得救的人,都是建造在這塊已被安放為根基的房角石上。
For upon this cornerstone, laid as a foundation, all who are saved from the earth are built.

Ὅθεν καὶ διαμένει ἡ γῆ , ἀῤῥαγῆ καὶ ἀσφαλῆ κρη πίδα καὶ θεμέλιον ἔχουσα
因此地得以常存,因為它擁有堅固不破、穩妥可靠的基石與根基。
Hence also the earth abides, possessing an unbreakable and secure base and foundation.

Ἀλλὰ καὶ γῆν φωτίσασα ἡ ἀλήθεια ἡμέραν ἐποίησε , Θεοῦ ἐπιλάμψαντος αὐτήν
此外,真理照亮了大地,使之成為白晝,因為神已光照了它。
Moreover, the truth, having illumined the earth, made it day, God having shone upon it.

Τῇ διατάξει σου διαμένει ἡμέρα , ὅτι τὰ σύμ παντα δοῦλά σοι
「因你的定命,白日常存,因為萬有都是你的僕役。」
‘By your ordinance the day continues, for all things are your servants.’

這白日並不改變,也不終結,不像按照舊約經文所記的那光照。
Not changed, nor coming to an end, as the illumination according to the Old Scripture was.

Ἐπεὶ καὶ μέχρι καιροῦ διορθώσεως τέθειτο
因為那光照原是只設立到矯正的時期為止。
Since that too had been established only until the time of correction.

Ταῦτα δὲ πάντα ὑπὸ Θεοῦ ὑπῆρκται
但這一切都是本於神而存有的。
But all these things have their existence from God.

Ἐπείπερ κτίστου καὶ προνοητοῦ ὄντος , δοῦλα τὰ σύμπαντά ἐστιν αὐτοῦ
既然祂是創造者,也是護理萬有者,一切受造之物就都是祂的奴僕。
Since He is Creator and Provider, all things are His slaves.

Εἰ μὴ ὁ νόμος σου μελέτη μού ἐστι , τότε ἂν ἀπωλόμην ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει μου
「若不是你的律法作我的默想,我早就在我的卑微中滅亡了。」
‘Unless your law were my meditation, I would then have perished in my humiliation.’

Εἰσβαλόντων , φησὶ , τῶν πονηρῶν λογισμῶν , καὶ τῶν ἀντικειμένων δυνάμεων πολεμούντων ἐμοὶ , εἶχον ἂν ἀπολέσθαι , εἰ μὴ ὁ σὸς νόμος εἰς στήριγμα ἐγένετο
他說:當惡念侵襲、敵對的權勢與我交戰之時,我原是要滅亡的,若不是你的律法成了我的支撐。
When, he says, the evil thoughts assailed me, and the opposing powers made war against me, I would have perished, had not your law become a support to me.

Εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα οὐ μὴ ἐπιλάθωμαι τῶν δικαιωμάτων σου , ὅτι ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔζησάς με
「我永遠不忘記你的律例,因你藉這些律例賜給我生命。」
‘Forever I will not forget your statutes, for by them you have given me life.’

ἕξω γὰρ ἐν αὐτοῖς τὴν ζωὴν , καθὰ δή μοι καὶ εἴρηκας , ὅτι ὁ ποιήσας αὐτὰ ἄν θρωπος ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς
因為我必要在其中得生命,正如你曾對我說過的:行這些事的人,必因這些事而活。
For I shall have life in them, just as indeed you have told me: that the man who does them shall live in them.

Ζῶν οὖν μόνος ὁ δί καιος , κἂν τεθνηκέναι δοκῇ·
因此,唯獨義人是活著的,即使他看似已經死了;
Only the righteous, then, is living, even if he seems to have died;

but the unrighteous are dead, even if they appear to be alive.

因為前者裡面自有生命的本質,就是公義;
For the former have within themselves the very substance of life, namely righteousness;

οἱ δὲ ταύ την οὐκ ἔχοντες τοῖς οὐ παρ' ἑαυτῶν , ἀλλ' ἔξωθεν κινουμένοις ἀψύχοις ἐοίκασιν
但那些沒有公義的人,就好比那些不能自己動、而是被外力推動的無生命之物。
but those who do not have this are like lifeless things that are moved not by themselves, but from outside.

Προσυπακούεται τῷ , σός εἰμι δοῦλος , σός εἰμι κατὰ χάριν υἱὸς , εἰμὶ σὸς θεράπων
在「我是你的僕人」這話之外,還隱含著:「我因恩典是(你的)兒子,我是你的侍者。」
Implied together with ‘I am your servant’ is this: ‘By grace I am a son; I am your attendant.’

Instead of ‘I understood,’ [he means] ‘I meditated’; and through meditating on you I rendered their plot powerless.

「我看見萬事的成全都有盡頭;你的誡命卻極其寬廣。」
‘I have seen an end to all completeness; but your commandment is exceedingly broad.’

Συντέλειαν τὴν ἐπιβουλήν φησι τὴν παρὰ τῶν δαιμόνων
所謂「成全」,指的是那出於鬼魔的陰謀。
By ‘completeness’ he means the plot that comes from the demons.

Ταύτης εἶδον τὸ πέρας ἐκβὰν εἰς οὐδὲν , ὅτε καὶ πλατεῖά μοι γέγονεν ἡ ἐν τολή
我看見這陰謀的結局歸於烏有,那時誡命也在我身上變得寬廣了。
I saw the end of this plot come to nothing, at which time the commandment also became broad for me.

διὰ πάσης προκοπῆς εἰς τὸ τέλος ἀφιγμένου τῆς ἀρετῆς , ἐπὶ τὸ τέλειον ἀγαθὸν δια βαίνοντος·
藉著各樣的長進,抵達德行的終點,邁向那全善之境;
of one who, through every advance, has arrived at the goal of virtue, passing over to the perfect good;

of one who lays down many beginnings and endings.

For the boundary of the former improvement is the beginning of the next, according to the saying:

Ὅταν συντελέσῃ ἄν θρωπος , τότε ἄρχεται

‘When a man has finished, then he begins.’

Ὡς ἠγάπησα τὸν νόμον σου , Κύριε; ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν μελέτη μού ἐστιν

‘How I have loved your law, O Lord! It is my meditation all the day.’

Ὁ πάντα κατὰ τὸν νό μον καὶ λέγων καὶ πράττων μελετᾷ τὸν νόμον τοῦ Θεοῦ
凡凡事按律法而言、而行的人,就是在默想神的律法。
He who in all things both speaks and acts according to the law meditates on the law of God.

Ἐν δὲ τῷ πρώτῳ ψαλμῷ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ πρὸς τὴν μελέτην καὶ τὴν νύκτα προσέθηκε τῷ μακαρίῳ γε νησομένῳ
但在第一篇詩篇中,論到那將要蒙福的人的默想,他不僅提到白晝,也加上了黑夜。
But in the first psalm, concerning the man who was to become blessed, he added the night as well as the day for meditation.

我們曾說過,人在今世的生活是明暗交雜的。
For we were saying that the life of men here is mixed.

但一旦成為聖潔,黑夜就不再接續而來。
But once they have become holy, night will no longer succeed them.

The one, then, who makes progress spends the day living according to the law;

but it becomes night for him whenever he does not meditate with his whole heart;

‘From every evil way I restrained my feet,’

for this is what it means to keep the divine law: to fulfill it in deeds.

Ἀπὸ τῶν κριμάτων σου οὐκ ἐξέκλινα
「我沒有偏離你的典章。」
‘From your judgments I have not turned aside.’

Ὡς γλυκέα τῷ λάρυγγί μου τὰ λόγιά σου !
「你的言語在我上顎是何等甘甜!」
‘How sweet are your words to my palate!’

Γλυ κέα διὰ τὴν ἐπ' αὐτοῖς λογικὴν τέρψιν·
之所以甘甜,是因它們帶來理性上的喜樂;
Sweet on account of the rational delight found in them;

Ὁ γὰρ τῷ φωτὶ τοῦ θείου νόμου περιπατῶν ὀρθὴν καὶ ἀπρόσκο πον τὴν πορείαν ποιεῖται τοῦ βίου
因為那按著神聖律法之光而行的人,其人生道路便正直而不致跌倒。
for he who walks by the light of the divine law makes the course of his life straight and free of stumbling.

Ἢ ταῖς τῶν νοητῶν ἐχθρῶν ἐπιθέσεσιν , ἢ ταῖς ἰδίᾳ καὶ ἐκ προαιρέσεως γινομέναις σκληραγωγίαις
或是因那些屬靈仇敵的攻擊,或是因自己出於己意而甘願承受的苦修。
Either by the assaults of the noetic enemies, or by the self-chosen hardships he undertakes of his own will.

Παρανόμους ἐμίσησα , τὸν δὲ νόμον σου ἠγάπη σα
「我恨惡違法的人,卻愛你的律法。」
‘I hated transgressors, but I loved your law.’

Τοὺς σοφοὺς τοῦ αἰῶνός φησι καὶ τοὺς τῶν αἱ ρεσιωτῶν ἄρχοντας
這裡指的是今世的智者,以及異端首領。
By this he means the wise men of this age and the leaders of the heretics.

Ἐκκλίνατε ἀπ' ἐμοῦ , πονηρευόμενοι
「你們這些作惡的人,離開我吧,」
‘Depart from me, you evildoers,’

Ἢ τοὺς πονηροὺς λογισμούς φησιν , ἢ τοὺς προειρημένους διδασκάλους

By this he means either the evil thoughts, or the aforementioned teachers.

Βοήθησόν μοι , καὶ σωθήσομαι
「求你幫助我,我就必得救,」
‘Help me, and I shall be saved,’

他說:雖然你是我的幫助者、我的扶持者,但我仍需要不間斷的幫助。
For even though, he said, you are my helper and my supporter, yet [my condition] needs unceasing help.

Ἐν ὅσῳ γάρ ἐσμεν ἐνταῦθα , οὔπω τέλειον τὸ , σωθήσομαι·
因為只要我們還在今世,「我必得救」這話就尚未完全應驗;
For as long as we are here, the word ‘I shall be saved’ is not yet complete;

ἀλλ' ὅταν μετὰ τῶν ἀγγέλων ζήσωμεν τοῦ Θεοῦ , τότε γὰρ καὶ μελέτη δι καιωμάτων πρόσωπον πρὸς πρόσωπον , οὐ κατὰ τὴν σκιὰν , ἀλλὰ κατὰ τὴν ἀλήθειαν
只有當我們與神的眾天使一同生活時,那時對律例的默想才是面對面的,不再是照著影兒,而是照著真理本身。
but when we shall live with the angels of God, then indeed the meditation on His statutes will be face to face, not according to the shadow, but according to the truth.

Ἐξουδένωσας πάντας τοὺς ἀποστατοῦντας ἀπὸ τῶν δικαιωμάτων σου
「凡背棄你律例的人,你都輕看他們,」
‘You have set at nought all who fall away from your statutes,’

Τοῦτο γὰρ περιμένει τὸ τέλος τοὺς τὸν νόμον ἀθετοῦντας τοῦ Θεοῦ
因為這正是那些棄絕神律法之人所要面臨的結局。
For this is the end that awaits those who reject the law of God.

Παραβαίνοντας ἐλογισάμην πάντας τοὺς ἁμαρ τωλοὺς τῆς γῆς·
「我看地上所有的罪人都是犯法的人;」
‘I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors;’

διὰ τοῦτο ἠγάπησα τὰ μαρτύριά σου
「因此我愛你的法度。」
‘therefore I have loved your testimonies.’

That is, to wish to trample the divine law underfoot.

‘Nail my flesh down with fear of you,’

For only in this way would they be able to say to Christ:

ἀπὸ γὰρ τῶν κριμάτων σου ἐφοβήθην
「因為我畏懼你的典章。」
‘for I feared your judgments.’

Οὐ γὰρ ἄλλως τις ἐπιτελεῖ τὴν ἁμαρτίαν , μὴ ἔξω ἑαυτὸν πρότερον καταστήσας τοῦ φόβου τοῦ Θεοῦ
因為若不先使自己脫離對神的敬畏,任何人都不會犯罪。
For no one commits sin in any other way, unless he has first put himself outside the fear of God.

Οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἐξέλιπον εἰς τὸ σωτήριόν σου
「我的眼睛因切望你的救恩而衰竭,」
‘My eyes failed with longing for your salvation,’

Εἰς τὴν θείαν ἐπιφάνειαν , φησὶ , δι' ἧς ἤλπιζε σωθή σεσθαι καὶ αὐτὸς καὶ ἅπαν τῶν ἀνθρώπων τὸ γένος
他說:這是指那神聖的顯現,他盼望藉此得救,不但自己,也包括全人類。
Toward the divine appearing, he says, through which he hoped to be saved, both he himself and the whole race of men.

Καὶ εἰς τὸ λόγιον τῆς δικαιοσύνης σου
「又為了你公義的話語。」
And for the oracle of Your righteousness.

Εἰ καὶ παρανομοῦντές τινες , καὶ τὸν σὸν πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν οὐκ ἔχοντες φόβον , τόν σου ἐκ μέσου πεποίηνται νόμον·
「縱然有些人行不法之事,眼中並無對你的敬畏,竟將你的律法從心中除去;」
Even if some, acting lawlessly and having no fear of You before their eyes, have put Your law out of their midst;

ἀλλ' ἐγὼ τὸν πάντα καιρὸν ἕνα ἐποιούμην τοῦτον , ἐν μελέτῃ ἔχων διαπαντός
「但我卻使這件事成為我終生唯一所務,時刻不斷地默想它。」
yet I made this my one concern for all time, keeping it always in meditation.

Μισθὸν δὲ δουλείας τὴν σύνεσιν ἀπαιτεῖ διδομένην παρὰ Θεοῦ , καὶ παρ' αὐτῷ κειμένην ὡς ἐν θησαυροφυλακίῳ
「他求取悟性作為服事的報酬,這悟性乃神所賜,並存放在祂那裡,如同存於寶庫之中。」
As the wage of his servitude he asks for understanding, given by God and laid up with Him as in a treasury.

Πνεῦμα γὰρ σοφίας καὶ συνέσεως καὶ τὰ ἑξῆς τῶν ἀγαθῶν τὰ χαρίσματα
「因為智慧和悟性的靈,以及隨後而來的美善恩賜。」
For the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, and the good gifts that follow after.

Πρὸς ἑτέραν γὰρ ἀντιδιαστέλλων , ἐν Παροιμίᾳ φησί·
「因為要與另一種悟性作區分,他在《箴言》中說:」
For distinguishing it from another sort, he says in Proverbs:

Σύνεσις δὲ ἀγαθὴ δίδωσι . χάριν
「『美好的悟性能施予恩惠。』」
'But good understanding gives grace.'

Εἰ γὰρ πᾶσα σύνεσις ἀγαθὴ , οὐκ ἂν προσέθη κεν ἀγαθή
「因為若一切悟性皆為美好,他就不必再加上『美好』二字。」
For if every understanding were good, he would not have added the word 'good.'

Καιρὸς τοῦ ποιῆσαι τῷ Κυρίῳ , διεσκέδασαν τὸν νόμον σου
「『這是耶和華當施行作為的時候,因為人廢棄了你的律法。』」
'It is time for the Lord to act, for they have dispersed Your law.'

ἔσται δέ ποτε καί σοι καιρὸς τῷ Θεῷ τοῦ ποιῆ σαι δηλονότι κρῖμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην κατὰ τῶν διασκε δασάντων τὸν νόμον σου
「但將來也必有一個時候,你這位神,要施行——也就是說——對那些廢棄你律法之人施行公平與公義。」
but there will also, one day, be a time for You, O God, to execute, namely, judgment and righteousness against those who have dispersed Your law.

'Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tested gold.'

'For wisdom is better than precious stones;'

Τούτους γὰρ ὁ λόγος σου , φησὶ , τῷ σῷ καταυγαζομένους φωτὶ συν έσεως ἐμφορεῖ
「因為,他說,你的道以你的光照亮他們,使他們充滿悟性。」
For these, he says, Your word, illuminating them with Your light, fills with understanding.

「『我張口喘息,』」
'I opened my mouth and drew breath,'

Καὶ τὴν δι' ἡδονῆς ἢ δόξης ἀπάτην ἡ διὰ τῶν λόγων σύνεσις ἐνδιδομένη κωλύει
「而藉由話語所賜下的悟性,能阻止那藉著逸樂或虛榮而來的欺騙。」
And the understanding imparted through the words prevents the deceit that comes through pleasure or vainglory.

Ἐπίβλεψον ἐπ' ἐμὲ , καὶ ἐλέησόν με , κ .τ .λ
「『求你轉向我,憐憫我』等等。」
'Look upon me, and have mercy on me,' etc.

Ὡς κέκρικας , φησὶν , ἐπιβλέψαι , καὶ πολλῆς ἐπισκοπῆς ἀξιῶ σαι τοὺς ἀγαπῶντας τὸ ὄνομά σου·
「他說,正如你已定意要垂顧那些愛你名的人,使他們配得豐厚的眷顧;」
As You have determined, he says, to look upon and count worthy of much visitation those who love Your name;

οὕτω με τῆς αὐ τῆς ἀξίωσον ἐπισκοπῆς , τοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐλέους
「求你也照樣使我配得同樣的眷顧,同樣的憐憫。」
so also count me worthy of that same visitation, of that same mercy.

「『求你照你的話使我腳步穩當。』」
'Direct my steps according to Your word.'

「神照著自己的話,引導那從邪惡與無知邁向德行與知識之人的腳步。」
According to His word, God directs the steps of the one who is passing from wickedness and ignorance into virtue and knowledge.

Ὁ γὰρ ὀρθὸς λόγος τῶν τοιούτων ἡγεῖται·
「因為正確的道理引導這樣的人;」
For right reason leads such persons;

「不犯罪的人,就不是罪的奴僕。」
Those who do not commit sin are not slaves of sin.

By 'the slander of men' he means the teaching of the heretics, and that of the wise men of this age.

But figuratively, by 'men' he means the wicked powers, from whose slander one can be redeemed by God alone.

'Make Your face shine upon Your servant,'

He longs to behold the presence of the Lord.

「因為祂正是父神本體的真像。」
For He is the very image of the Father.

「『又將你的律例教訓我。』」
'and teach me Your statutes.'

「我流下無數的眼淚,為那些違犯你律法的人哀哭。」
I shed a multitude of tears, mourning those who transgress Your law.

Τὴν αἰτίαν ἀποδίδωσι , δι' ἣν ἀπεκλαίετο τοὺς παραβαί νοντας τὸν τοῦ Θεοῦ νόμον·
「他說明自己為那些違犯神律法之人哭泣的原因:」
He gives the reason for which he wept over those who transgress the law of God:

ὅτι δὴ τοῖς τοῦτον παρα βαίνουσιν ἐν τῷ θείῳ δικαστηρίῳ τιμωρίαν ἠπείλησε ,. καὶ ταύτην ἐντεῦθεν ἤδη διεμαρτύρατο
「就是因為神已在祂的審判台前,向那些違犯律法的人發出懲罰的警告,並且已從此刻就作了見證。」
namely, because He has threatened punishment at the divine tribunal for those who transgress it, and has already testified to this even from here.

Ἐνετείλω δικαιοσύνην τὰ μαρτύριά σου , κ .τ .λ
「『你所命定的法度是憑公義』等等。」
'You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness,' etc.

Τὰ μετὰ μαρτύρων οὐρανοῦ καὶ γῆς τινῶν ἄλλων ἐνετείλω μαρτύρια , δικαιοσύνην ὄντα καὶ ἀλήθειαν τρανωτάτην; Ἀλλ' οὐκ ἠμαύρους·
「你豈不是連同天地及其他一些見證者,命定了那些即是公義、且是最明白之真理的法度嗎?並非隱晦不明的——」
Did You not, together with the witnesses of heaven and earth and certain others, command testimonies that are righteousness and the clearest truth? And not obscure ones—

ἤγουν εὐθύτατοι τῶν σῶν κριμάτων κανό νες τὴν σὴν δικαιοσύνην μηνύουσι
「也就是說,你判斷中最正直的準則,彰顯了你的公義。」
that is, the most upright canons of Your judgments make known Your righteousness.

Τὰ οὖν σὰ μαρ τύρια αἱ θεῖαι Γραφαί·
「所以,你的法度就是神聖的經文;」
Your testimonies, then, are the divine Scriptures;

δικαιοσύνη μὲν κατὰ τὰ ἠθι κὰ τυγχάνουσι παραγγέλματα , ἀλήθεια δὲ κατὰ τὴν θεωρίαν τῶν λόγων
「就道德誡命而言,它們是公義;就道理的默觀而言,它們是真理。」
they are righteousness with respect to the moral precepts, and truth with respect to the contemplation of the doctrines.

Ἐξέτηξέ με ὁ ζῆλός σου , ὅτι ἐπελάθοντο τῶν λόγων σου οἱ ἐχθροί μου
「『我的熱心把我耗盡了,因我的敵人忘記了你的言語,』」
'My zeal for You has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten Your words,'

Οἷον ζῆλον ἀνελάμβανον , εἴ ποτε ἑώρων τινὰ ἐπιλελησμένον τῶν σῶν λόγων
「每當我看見有人忘記了你的話,我便會生出何等的熱心!」
What zeal I would take up, whenever I saw anyone who had forgotten Your words!

Καὶ οὐχ ἁπλῶς ζῆλον , ἀλλὰ διὰ τὸν τιθέντα μοι ἐκ τήκεσθαι ἀπὸ τοῦ ζήλου τοῦ πρὸς σὲ , εἰ ἐθεώρουν τι νὰς ἐπιλανθανομένους σου τῶν λόγων
「而且不僅是熱心,更是因那將此心賜給我者的緣故,使我因對你的熱心而消融殆盡,每當我看見有人忘記你的話語。」
And not zeal merely, but such as, because of Him who instilled it in me, caused me to melt away with zeal for You whenever I saw any forgetting Your words.

Περὶ τούτου τοῦ ζήλου ἐμνήσθησαν οἱ μαθηταὶ , ἐκ προσώπου τοῦ Κυρίου ἐν ψαλμῷ εἰρημένου

Concerning this zeal the disciples remembered what was spoken in the psalm in the person of the Lord:

'The zeal of Your house has consumed me.'

「『你的言語極其精煉(如火煉淨),』」
'Your word is exceedingly refined by fire,'

Τὸ λόγιον τοῦ Θεοῦ πεπυρωμένον ἐστὶ σφόδρα καὶ ἐξιστάμενον , καὶ πάσῃ βασάνῳ ἀνέλεγκτον
「神的話語極其精煉、超乎萬有,且經得起任何考驗而無可駁斥。」
The word of God is exceedingly refined and surpassing, and cannot be refuted by any test.
1:6630⧉ ⤴︎
Καὶ εἴ τις ἔχει πεπυ ρωμένον τοῦτο τὸ λόγιον , ἀνακρίνει μὲν πάντα , αὐτὸς δὲ ὑπ' οὐδενὸς ἀνακρίνεται
「若有人擁有這精煉的話語,他就能審察萬事,自己卻不被任何人審察。」
And if anyone has this refined word within him, he examines all things, but he himself is examined by no one.

ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ ἐξουδενωμένος
「『我是被人藐視的;』」
'I am, even one despised;'

Νεώτερος μὲν ὁ τοῖς θείοις λόγοις στοιχειούμενος , ἐξουδενωμέ νος δὲ διὰ τὸ ταπεινοῦν ἑαυτόν
「他是『年幼的』,因為他正被神聖的話語所教導;他是『被藐視的』,因為他自己謙卑。」
He is 'young' in that he is being instructed in the divine words, but 'despised' because he humbles himself.

Ἡ δικαιοσύνη σου δικαιοσύνη εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
「『你的公義永遠長存,』」
'Your righteousness is righteousness forever,'

Ἡ μὲν γὰρ παρ' ἀνθρώποις δικαιοσύνη πρὸς ὀλίγον ψηφίζεται χρόνον τῷ κρινομένῳ τὸ δίκαιον , ἡ δὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ τὴν κρίσιν αἰώνιον ἀποδίδωσιν
「因為人間的公義只在短暫的時間內,為受審者判定公正;但神的公義所賜下的審判卻是永恆的。」
For the righteousness that exists among men allots what is just to the one being judged only for a short time, but that of God renders judgment that is eternal.

Θλίψεις καὶ ἀνάγκαι εὕροσάν με
「『患難和困苦臨到我身上,』」
'Afflictions and distresses have come upon me,'
1:6636⧉ ⤴︎
Οὐδὲ ἐν ταῖς περιστάσεσι , φησὶ , τοῦ τὸν σὸν μελετᾷν ἠμέλησαν νόμον
「他說,即使在這樣的境遇中,他們也沒有疏忽默想你的律法。」
Not even in such circumstances, he says, did they neglect to meditate on Your law.

「他說,你所賜給我的法度,並非只在短時間內有益,而是永遠的公義,能使那存心親近它們的人稱義。」
The testimonies which You have given me, he says, being profitable not merely for a short while, are righteousness forever, justifying the one who draws near to them in disposition.

「『求你賜我悟性,我就得以存活,』」
'Give me understanding, and I shall live,'

Ἣν γὰρ ἀσκοῦμεν ἐπὶ τοῦ παρόντος δικαιοσύνην ἀποδίδοται οὐκ ἐν ὀλίγαις ἡμέραις ἡμῶν , ἀλλ' εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
「因為我們今生所行的公義,得的報償不僅在我們短暫的歲月裡,而是直到永遠。」
For the righteousness that we practice in the present life is rewarded not merely in our few days, but forever.

Ἀλλὰ καὶ ζήσο μαι , φησὶν , ἐάν με συνετίσῃς·
「他說,我也必得以存活,只要你賜我悟性;」
But I shall also live, he says, if You give me understanding;

εἰς ἐκείνην γὰρ τὴν μακαρίαν ζωὴν ἀνόητος οὐκ εἰσέρχεται
「因為無知愚昧的人,不能進入那蒙福的生命。」
for no fool enters into that blessed life.

Αἰτητέον οὖν σύνεσιν παρὰ τοῦ διδόντος πᾶσι τοῖς ἐξ ὅλης ψυχῆς αἰτοῦσιν αὐτόν
「因此,人當向那位向凡全心求祂之人施予的神,祈求悟性。」
One must, then, ask for understanding from Him who gives to all who ask Him with their whole soul.

Ἐκέκραξα ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου
「『我一心呼求,』」
'I have cried with my whole heart,'

Ἐκέκραξα ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου , ἐπάκουσόν μου , Κύριε·
「『我一心呼求;求你應允我,耶和華啊;』」
'I have cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord;'

τὰ δικαιώματά σου ἐκζητήσω
「『我要尋求你的律例。』」
'I will seek out Your statutes.'

Ὃ γὰρ ἐλάλουν κατὰ τὸ ἡγεμο νικὸν , οὐκ ἄλλο τι ἦν ἢ ὁ Θεός
「因為我依照心靈的主導能力所說的話,其實不是別的,正是神自己。」
For that which I was speaking with my ruling faculty was nothing other than God himself.

Μεγάλως οὖν σε κα λέσας , μεγάλως ἐπαγγέλλομαι τὰ σὰ φυλάξαι μαρ τύρια
「所以,我既大聲呼求你,也就鄭重應許要謹守你的法度。」
Having called upon You greatly, therefore, I greatly promise to keep Your testimonies.

Προέφθασα ἐν ἀωρίᾳ καὶ ἐκέκραξα
「『我在天未亮時就已呼求,』」
'I came before the darkness and cried out,'

Ἀωρία τὸν σκότον , ἤτοι τὴν σύγχυσιν τῶν πραγμάτων φη σί
「所謂『未及時之際』,他是指黑暗,也就是世事的混亂。」
By 'the untimely hour' he means the darkness, that is, the confusion of affairs.

Καίτοι τῶν παρανόμων ἐν συγχύσει πάντα ποιούντων , πολλὰ ἐν τῷ σῷ νόμῳ ἐστοί χουν
「儘管不法之人在混亂中行事,仍有許多事依循你的律法而行。」
And yet, although the lawless were doing everything in confusion, many things kept in step with Your law.

Προσήγγισαν οἱ καταδιώκοντές με ἀνομίᾳ
「那些以不法逼迫我的人已經臨近。」
They who persecute me have drawn near in lawlessness.

Συνῆψαν οἱ πολεμοῦντές με τῇ ἀνομίᾳ , φησίν
「『那些與我爭戰的人已經在不法之中聯合起來』,他說。」
'Those who make war against me have joined together in lawlessness,' he says.

Οὐδὲ γάρ τις διώκει τὸν δίκαιον μὴ ἀνομίᾳ συνεῖναι βου λόμενος
因為若不是願意與不法為伍,沒有人會逼迫義人。
For no one persecutes the righteous man unless he wishes to be associated with lawlessness.

Θεὸς ἐγγίζων ἐγώ εἰμι , καὶ οὐχὶ Θεὸς πόῤῥωθεν , λέγει Κύριος
「『我是臨近的神,不是遠離的神』,主如此說。」
'I am a God who draws near, and not a God far off,' says the Lord.

Ἡ δύναμις γὰρ τοῦ Θεοῦ πανταχοῦ ἐστι , κατὰ τὸν τῆς δημιουργίας καὶ προνοίας λόγον
因為神的大能無所不在,這是照著創造與眷佑的道理而言。
For the power of God is everywhere, according to the principle of creation and providence.

Κρῖνον τὴν κρίσιν μου , καὶ λύτρωσαί με , διὰ τὸν λόγον σου ζῆσόν με
「求你為我伸冤,救贖我;照你的話使我存活。」
Judge my cause, and redeem me; for the sake of your word, give me life.

Λόγον τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν φησίν·
他所說的「話」,指的是應許。
By 'word' he means the promise.

For he promised that he would come and save us.

「救恩遠離罪人。」
Salvation is far from sinners.

Ἣν ἐπλεο νέκτησαν οἱ ἄρχοντες τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου
這救恩,是今世的掌權者因自己的貪婪而使自己與之無分的。
Salvation, of which the rulers of this age deprived themselves through their own covetousness.

Ὅτι δικαιώ ματά σου οὐκ ἐξεζήτησαν
「因為他們沒有尋求你的律例。」
For they did not seek out your statutes.

Αὕτη ἡ αἰτία τοῦ κατα διώκειν τὸν δίκαιον , τὸ μακρὰν ἑαυτοὺς ἀποστῆσαι τοῦ θείου νόμου
這就是逼迫義人的緣由:他們使自己遠離了神聖的律法。
This is the reason for the persecution of the righteous man: that they have removed themselves far from the divine law.

Οἱ οἰκτιρμοί σου πολλοὶ , Κύριε
「主啊,你的憐憫本為大。」
Many are your compassions, O Lord.

Ἔγνων , φησὶν , ὡς διεμαρτύρω τὰς ἐντολὰς ἡμῖν , ὅτι βέβαιοί εἰσι καὶ ἀμετακίνητοι
他說:「我已知道,你向我們鄭重見證了誡命,曉得它們是穩固不移的。」
'I have known,' he says, 'that you solemnly attested the commandments to us, that they are firm and unshakeable.'

This is also what he indicates in the verse above: 'From the beginning I knew it from your testimonies.'

I saw those who lacked understanding, and I was consumed with grief.

For you will see in me the marks of good works;

for I did not merely keep them, but I loved them, having nothing about them that was forced upon me.

This is the first of your commandments to be given: to speak the truth in all things, both in deed, in word, and in thought.

'The rulers of successive ages oppressed me,' he says, 'being enemies of the truth.'

'Do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul;'

「倒要怕那能把身體和靈魂都滅在地獄裡的。」我要因你的話語歡喜,好像人得了許多擄物一樣。
'but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.' I will rejoice over your sayings, as one who finds much spoil.

Οὐ φόβῳ δὲ μόνον τὴν ὑπακοὴν τὴν πρὸς τοὺς θείους λόγους πεποιῆσθαί φησιν , ἀλλὰ καὶ χαρᾷ , ἥτις ἐπὶ πλούτῳ χαίρει πολ λά
他說,他對神聖話語的順從,不只是出於畏懼,也是出於喜樂,那正如人因得了財富而大大歡喜的喜樂。
He says that he has rendered obedience to the divine words not out of fear alone, but also with joy — the kind of joy that greatly rejoices over wealth.

Βεβαιωτέρα δὲ τήρησις ἡ ἐν χαρᾷ γινομένη
因為在喜樂中所行的持守更為堅固。
For the keeping that comes about with joy is more secure.

Πολεμίων δὲ διωκόντων μνησθεὶς , καὶ σκύλων εἰκότως ἐμνήσθη
他既提起仇敵的追迫,也就順理成章地提及了擄物。
And having remembered enemies pursuing him, he fittingly also remembered spoils.

Οὐκ ἂν γὰρ , φησὶ , πάντας ἀνελὼν καὶ σκυλεύσας , τοσοῦτον ᾠήθην , ὡς ἐπὶ τοῖς λόγοις τοῖς σοῖς
他說:「即便我殺盡並擄掠了眾人,我所以為得著的,也不及因你的話語所得著的那麼多。」
'For not even,' he says, 'if I had slain and despoiled them all, would I have thought I had gained as much as I did through your words.'

什麼話語呢?豈不正是保羅所說的那些嗎?
What words? Surely those concerning which Paul speaks:

'For we were the first to believe the oracles of God,' speaking concerning the Jews.

For it is not, as with those men, that I have avenged the slain and, having taken spoils, now feel abhorrence;

因為唯獨厭惡不義才是有益的;
for it is beneficial only to abhor injustice;

'For we, as having been raised together with Christ, seek the things above, not the things on the earth.'

Throughout the whole of his life the righteous man, being enlightened, will exist in one perfect day, not interrupted by night;

他既超越塵世而成為在世界之上的人,便七次讚美神,因他已越過那在六日之內受造的世界;
and he praises God seven times, having become supramundane, in that he has passed beyond the world that came to be in six days;

因他也已進入神的樂園,並已默觀神創造與眷佑的道理,便為神公義的種種判斷而稱謝;
inasmuch as he has also come to be in the paradise of God, and, having contemplated the principle of God's creation and providence, he gives thanks concerning the judgments of God's righteousness;

He says that he continually remembered your judgments, which you brought about justly;

τοὺς μὲν πλεονεκτήσαντας ἐκβα λὼν ἄρχοντας , τοὺς δὲ ἀδικηθέντας λυτρωσάμενος
你廢黜了那些貪婪欺壓人的掌權者,又救贖了那些受屈的人。
casting out the rulers who had defrauded others, while redeeming those who had been wronged.

For first comes: 'Let it draw near';

then the greater thing: 'Let my petition come in';

For if someone draws near to a house, and is a friend of the master of the house, he enters in.

Ἣν δὲ κέκληκε δέησιν , νῦν εἶπεν ἀξίωμα , παρὰ τὸ ἀξιοῦν
他先前所稱的「祈求」,此處則稱之為「axiōma」(懇求,意即當得之請),此詞正是由「認為配得」一詞而來。
What he had earlier called a 'petition,' he now called 'axiōma' (a worthy claim), from the verb 'to deem worthy.'

Μήποτε ὡς ἔστι κοσμικὰ καθ' ὑπεροχὴν ἀξιώ ματα , οὕτω καὶ ψυχικά; Ἀξίωμα γὰρ ἀπόστολον εἶναι Χριστοῦ·
或許正如世上按尊卑而有種種位分,靈魂也是如此?因為作基督的使徒,本身就是一種尊位;
Might it be that, just as there are worldly dignities of preeminence, so also there are dignities of the soul? For it is a dignity to be an apostle of Christ;

ἀξιώματα καὶ τάγματα τὰ ἐκκλησια στικά
教會中的種種位分與品秩,也同樣是如此。
and the dignities and ranks of the Church are likewise such.

Ἀξίωμα δὲ ψυχῆς καὶ τὸ ἔχειν τὰς ἀρετὰς , ἢ μίαν αὐτῶν
靈魂的尊位,也在於擁有諸美德,或哪怕僅是其中一項。
And it is also a dignity of the soul to possess the virtues, or even a single one of them.

The one who possesses such a dignity speaks the words now before us.

Belching generally occurs in those who have been satisfied.

The divine word, then, knows of a spiritual food.

The Word himself, then, says that he is bread.

「因為我就是從天上降下來的生命之糧;」
'For I am the bread of life that came down from heaven;'

Ὁ τρώγων μου τὴν σάρκα ἔχει ζωὴν ἐν ἑαυτῷ

'He who eats my flesh has life in himself.'

Having eaten this, then, we belch forth a hymn.

It is such a belching that I pray to attain.

which is impossible, unless you teach me your statutes.

'Open your mouth with the word of God.'

Ὁ δὲ τοιοῦτος ἀργὸν ῥῆμα οὐ λαλεῖ
這樣的人不說閒話。
And such a one does not speak an idle word.

Τὸ γὰρ , Οὐ φονεύ σεις , οὐ μοιχεύσεις , οὐ κλέψεις , καὶ εἴ τις ἑτέρα ἐντολὴ , ἐν τῷ λόγῳ τούτῳ ἀνακεφαλαιοῦται τὸ , Ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς ἑαυτόν
因為「不可殺人,不可姦淫,不可偷盜」,以及其他一切誡命,都總歸在這一句話裡:「要愛人如己。」
For 'You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal,' and whatever other commandment there is, is summed up in this word: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

If you wish to ascend to the higher sense of the word, your salvation is Christ.

For 'Jesus' is interpreted 'the salvation of God.' He was sent to us.

It is a labor to long for the salvation of God.

For the many desire the things according to the flesh.

Τὸ δὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ , τὸ ἐν αὐτῷ σωθῆναι , τὸ ἐν αὐτῷ ἀνα παύεσθαι , κληρονομῆσαι τὰ ἅγια
但屬乎神的,乃是在他裡面得救,在他裡面安息,承受聖潔的產業。
But that which is of God is: to be saved in him, to rest in him, to inherit the holy things.

Τοῦτο γάρ ἐστι τὸ σωτήριον τοῦ Θεοῦ , ἡ αἰώνιος ζωή
因為這就是神的救恩,就是永生。
For this is the salvation of God: eternal life.

But 'Jesus' also is interpreted 'the salvation of God,' sent to us unto salvation;

凡願意向著對他的切慕前行的人,必要默想律法。
whoever wishes to journey toward the longing for him will meditate on the law.

Ζήσεται ἡ ψυχή μου , καὶ αἰνέσει σε

My soul shall live, and it shall praise you.

He speaks concerning the life to come.

For our life is hidden with Christ in God.

Then shall I truly praise, then shall your judgments help me —

你所審判之人那些著稱的判決由此顯明:對義人而言無須經歷苦刑,對需要糾正的人而言,則須藉苦刑而行。
the renowned judgments rendered upon those judged by you becoming known: for the righteous man without torments, but for the one in need of correction, through torments.

Ἐπλανήθην ὡς πρόβατον ἀπωλολός
我如失喪的羊,走迷了路。
I have gone astray like a lost sheep.

Μετὰ τὸ εἰπεῖν περὶ αὐτοῦ ἔργα κατορθωκότος , πάλιν πρόβα τον ἑαυτὸν πεπλανημένον εἶναι λέγει , ταπεινοφροσύ νην ἐπιτηδεύων , κατὰ τὸ εἰρημένον ὑπὸ Κυρίου·

For how are the lips of the Babylonians, which have professed idolatry, not unrighteous?

這舌頭理當被稱為詭詐,因為它論到神時毫無一句正直的話。
It might rightly be called deceitful, since it speaks nothing straight concerning God.

What shall be given to you, and what shall be added to you, against the deceitful tongue? The sharpened arrows of the mighty one.

unless indeed there be need of a judicial punishment, such as God commanded against the Canaanites and the Amorites, forbidding friendship with them.

But 'he shall not slumber' does not denote the weariness of those who guard armies and cities and flocks, but signifies the impassibility of the Divine: 'he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.'

Ask now for the things that make for the peace of Jerusalem.

你們這些人哪,既已知曉耶路撒冷昔日如何,就當為她的平安祈求,不要別的,只求那有助於她平安的事。
Having learned, O you, what Jerusalem once was, pray for her peace, seeking nothing else than the things that contribute to her peace.

Let there indeed be peace within your rampart, and abundance in your towers.

and this again by that very help of God, who does not allow the rod of sinners to remain upon the lot of the righteous and of his saints. "Peace be upon Israel."

And they intercede on behalf of the rest, who are still in Babylon, that they too may be redeemed.

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we became like those who were comforted.

Perhaps, then, he speaks these things concerning the spiritual [Zion].

For the phrase "they will say" indicates prophetically what is to come.

And this rendered us greatly lamented in the sight of all.

And yet we too cry out — for we are not without feeling — even though we have not yet received back the rest;

For by "the south" he means the desert.

Those who sow in tears shall reap in rejoicing.

They went on their way, going and weeping.

as they hope that the fortification will be unshaken.

Thus he covertly prophesies its future fall once more, under the rule of the Romans.

若不是耶和華建造房屋,建造的人就枉然勞力。
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Ὡς μέγα φρονούντων τῶν Ἰουδαίων ἐπὶ τῷ στερεῷ τῆς οἰκοδομῆς , τὰ τοιαῦτά φησιν

He says such things as addressed to the Jews, who were thinking too highly of the solidity of their building.

When He gives sleep to his beloved, behold, the heritage of the Lord is sons.

Μὴ μέγα φρονεῖτε , φησὶν , ἐπὶ τῷ ἱερῷ , ὡς ἐν αὐτῷ τῆς κληρονομίας . ὑμῶν διδομένης
他說:不要因聖殿而自負,以為你們的產業是在其中賜下的。
Do not think too highly, he says, of the temple, as though your inheritance were given in it.

Ἀλλ' ὅταν ἀνα παύσῃ τοὺς ἠγαπημένους αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ προτέρου λαοῦ , τουτέστι τοὺς προφήτας·
而是當祂使祂所愛的人──就是出自昔日子民的眾先知──安息之時;
But rather, when He gives rest to his beloved ones from the former people, that is, the prophets;

τότε τοῖς ἐκείνου υἱέσι τὴν κληρονομίαν δώσει

then He will give the inheritance to their sons.

And who could these be but the disciples?

Ἡ γὰρ θεία ὑπόσχεσις , καὶ ἡ περὶ τοὺς παῖδας εὐλογία , καθάπερ τις μισθὸς τοῖς ἐπ' αὐτὸν ἠλπικόσι δεδώρηται
因為神聖的應許,以及那論及兒女的祝福,乃是像一種賞賜,賜給那些仰望祂的人。
For the divine promise, and the blessing concerning children, has been granted like a reward to those who have hoped in Him.

Ὁ μισθὸς τοῦ καρ ποῦ τῆς γαστρός
賞賜就是胎中的果子。
The reward is the fruit of the womb.

Ὁ καρπὸς τῆς γαστρὸς εἴη ἂν ἡ σωτηρία τοῦ πνεύματος , κατὰ τό·

The fruit of the womb would be the salvation of the spirit, according to the word:

Ὠδινήσαμεν καὶ ἐτέκομεν πνεῦμα σωτηρίας , ὃ ἐποιήσαμεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
我們懷胎陣痛,生出了救恩的靈,就是我們在地上所成就的。
We were in travail and brought forth the spirit of salvation, which we accomplished upon the earth.

Τούτου τοῦ καρποῦ μισθὸς ὥσπερ καὶ κληρονομία δοθήσεται ἡ υἱοθεσία
作為這果子的賞賜,如同產業一般,兒子的名分將被賜下。
As the reward of this fruit, just as also an inheritance, adoption as sons will be given.

Ὡσεὶ βέλη ἐν χειρὶ δυνατοῦ , οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἐκτετιναγμένων
勇士手中的箭,好像那些被驅逐者的兒女一樣。
As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of those who were cast off.

賜給敬畏耶和華之人的禮物,並非隨便的妻子,而是以美好果實為裝飾的妻子。
To the one who fears the Lord, the gift given is not a common wife, but one adorned with good fruits.

Γυνὴ γὰρ ἀγα θὴ μερὶς ἀγαθή
因為賢淑的妻子是美好的分。
For a good wife is a good portion.

For just as offspring are the first fruits of a God-loving soul, so promises are the second fruits.

第十首詩篇教導基督子民所遭受的許多逼迫,以及此民如何彷彿要越過一切,常常勝過那些圖謀害他們的人。
The tenth ode teaches about the many persecutions endured by the people of Christ, and how, as it were, it will surmount all things, ever proving stronger than those who plot against it.

他這樣說,是因為逼迫從宣講之初便已發生。
He says this because the persecutions occurred from the very beginning of the preaching.

The Lord is righteous; he has broken the necks of sinners.

For all who persecute wickedly shall perish wickedly.

The eleventh ode contains a prayer of the martyrs, and a teaching on confession for the new people.

並清楚宣告那作為德行之贖罪祭的,就是基督。
And it plainly proclaims the propitiation of virtue, which is Christ.

論到神的『耳朵』,我們也理解為天使的能力,我們的祈求正是藉著他們進到神面前。
By 'ears' applied to God we also understand the angelic powers, through whom our supplications come in to God.

Ἐὰν ἀνομίας παρατηρήσῃς , Κύριε , Κύριε , τίς ὑποστήσεται; Ὁ δὲ τοῦ , Κύριε , Κύριε , διπλασιασμὸς θαυμάζοντός ἐστι τῆς τοῦ Θεοῦ φιλανθρωπίας τὸν ὄγκον , παρ' ἧς καὶ τὸν ἱλασμὸν εἶναί φησιν , ἀλλ' οὐκ ἐν τοῖς ἡμετέροις κατορθώμασιν
『耶和華啊,你若究察罪孽,主啊,誰能站得住呢?』這裡『主啊、主啊』的重複,是出於對神愛人之大的驚歎;他說,贖罪也是出於這愛,而非出於我們自己的善行。
'If thou, O Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?' The doubling of 'O Lord, O Lord' belongs to one marveling at the magnitude of God's love for mankind, from which, he says, propitiation also comes, and not from our own right actions.

Ἕνεκεν τοῦ ὀνόματός σου ὑπέμεινά σε , Κύριε
耶和華啊,我為你的名等候你。
For thy name's sake I have waited for thee, O Lord.

Ταῦτα τῶν μὴ διὰ χρείαν πνευματικὴν , δι' αὐτὸ δὲ τὸ σεπτὸν ὄνομα προσιόντων , οὕτω καὶ ἐν ὑπο μονῇ τρεχόντων τὸν προκείμενον ἀγῶνα , καὶ κατὰ μηδ' ἕνα καιρὸν ἀφισταμένων Θεοῦ καὶ τῶν ἀρεσκόντων αὐτῷ
這些話是屬於那些並非因屬靈需要而來到,乃是為那可敬之名本身而來的人;他們如此存忍耐奔那擺在前頭的路程,無論何時都不離開神和討神喜悅的事。
These words belong to those who do not draw near out of spiritual need, but for the sake of the reverend name itself, and who thus run with endurance the race set before them, departing from God and from what pleases him at no time whatsoever.

Ἀπὸ φυλακῆς πρωΐας μέχρι νυκτὸς ἐλπισάτω Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ τὸν Κύριον
從晨更直到夜晚,願以色列仰望耶和華。
From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.

Οὐ γὰρ μόνον ὅτε φυλακὴ πρωῒ μὴ καὶ λαμπρὰ τὰ παρόντα , ἀλλὰ καὶ μέχρι τῶν ζοφερῶν περιστάσεων
因為不僅當晨更時分、眼前景況尚未明朗時當如此,就是直到最陰暗的境遇中也當如此仰望。
For one should hope not only when it is the morning watch, before present circumstances are yet bright, but even amid the gloomiest circumstances.

Ἀλλὰ καὶ ἀνα τέλλοντος τοῦ ἀληθινοῦ φωτὸς ὁ διορατικὸς νοῦς προσθήκην λαμβάνει ἐκ Θεοῦ τῶν φαιδρῶν , καὶ τῶν σκυθρωπῶν ἀπαλλαγήν·
而且,當真光升起時,具有洞察力的心靈也從神那裡得著更多光明的事,並脫離陰鬱之事。
But also, when the true light rises, the mind gifted with clear sight receives from God an increase of bright things, and release from gloomy ones.

ἐλπισάτω παρ' αὐτῷ γὰρ ὡς ἐν πηγῇ , καὶ παρ' αὐτοῦ τὸ ἔλεος , τῷ αὐτῷ ὄντι λυτρώσει , καὶ τῷ ἱλασμῷ , τῷ ἱκανώσει πολλῇ τὰς ἁμαρτίας περικαθαίροντι
『願以色列仰望』——因為在他那裡,如同在泉源中一樣,也有從他而來的憐憫;他自己既是救贖,也是贖罪祭,以豐盛的足夠潔淨眾罪。
'Let Israel hope' — for with him, as in a fountain, mercy too is found, coming from him who is himself at once redemption and propitiation, cleansing away sins with abundant sufficiency.

Ἡ δωδεκάτη ᾠδὴ τὸν καταξιωθέντα τοῦ ἱλασμοῦ δι δάσκει μὴ ἐπαίρεσθαι , τῇ ἑαυτοῦ βελτιώσει θαῤῥοῦντα , ἀλλὰ ταπεινοφρονεῖν
第十二首詩篇教導那已蒙算為配得贖罪之恩的人,不可自高,倚靠自己的長進,反倒要存謙卑的心。
The twelfth ode teaches one who has been deemed worthy of propitiation not to be puffed up, trusting in his own improvement, but rather to be humble-minded.

耶和華啊,我的心不狂傲。
Lord, my heart is not exalted.

οὐδὲ ἐπορεύθην ἐν μεγάλοις οὐδὲ ἐν θαυμασίοις ὑπὲρ ἐμέ , κ .τ .λ
我也不行大事,不行奇妙難及的事,等等。
nor have I walked in great matters, nor in things too wonderful for me, and so forth.

Πρὸς δὲ τὸ μὴ ἐπαρθῆναί φησι τὴν ἐναντίαν ἀρετὴν εἰς ὑπερβολὴν ἐπιτήδειον , ἣν καὶ ὁ Σωτὴρ ἐδίδαξε λέγων·

And with a view to not being exalted, he speaks of the contrary virtue as exceedingly fitting — the very virtue the Savior also taught, saying:

Unless you turn and become as little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
