ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And Joshua son of Naue sent out from Sattin two young men to spy, saying: Go up and see the land and Jericho. And they went, and the two young men entered Jericho, and they entered the house of a prostitute woman whose name was Rahab, and they lodged there.
And the men pursued after them by the road to the Jordan, to the fords; and the gate was shut. And it came to pass as the pursuers went out after them,
For we have heard how the Lord God dried up the Red Sea before you when you were coming out of the land of Egypt, and what he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Seon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
And when we heard it, we were dismayed in our heart, and no spirit remained standing in any of us because of you; for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
and you shall save alive the house of my father and my mother and my brothers and all my household and all that belongs to them, and you shall deliver my soul from death.
And she said to them: Go away into the hill country, lest the pursuers meet you; and you shall hide yourselves there three days until the pursuers turn back from after you, and after that you shall go on your way.
Behold, we are entering into a part of the city, and you shall set the sign: this scarlet cord you shall bind in the window through which you let us down by it; and your father and your mother and your brothers and all the house of your father you shall gather to yourself into your house.
And it shall be that everyone who goes outside the door of your house shall be liable for himself, but we shall be guiltless with respect to this oath of yours; and as for all who are with you in your house, we shall be liable.
And the two young men returned and came down from the mountain and crossed over to Joshua son of Naue, and they recounted to him all the things that had happened to them.
