3:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַל ־מִשְׁכָּבִי֙ בַּלֵּיל֔וֹת בִּקַּ֕שְׁתִּי אֵ֥ת שֶֽׁאָהֲבָ֖ה נַפְשִׁ֑י בִּקַּשְׁתִּ֖יו וְלֹ֥א מְצָאתִֽיו ׃
ἐπὶ κοίτην μου ἐν νυξὶν ἐζήτησα ὃν ἠγάπησεν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐζήτησα αὐτὸν καὶ οὐχ εὗρον αὐτόν ἐκάλεσα αὐτόν καὶ οὐχ ὑπήκουσέν μου
In lectulo meo , per noctes , quaesivi quem diligit anima mea : quaesivi illum , et non inveni .
ወከመ ፡ ወሬዛ ፡ ሀየል ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባር ፡ ድኁኃን ። ቅንጽ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወልድ ፡ እኁየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ወይጠል ። በዐራትየ ፡ ወበለያልይየ ። አኀሥሥ ፡ ዘአፍቀረት ፡ ነፍስየ ። ኀሠሥክዎ ፡ ወኢረከብክዎ ። ጸዋዕክዎ ፡ ወኢተሰጥወኒ ።
By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.
3:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָק֨וּמָה נָּ֜א וַאֲסוֹבְבָ֣ה בָעִ֗יר בַּשְּׁוָקִים֙ וּבָ֣רְחֹב֔וֹת אֲבַקְשָׁ֕ה אֵ֥ת שֶֽׁאָהֲבָ֖ה נַפְשִׁ֑י בִּקַּשְׁתִּ֖יו וְלֹ֥א מְצָאתִֽיו ׃
ἀναστήσομαι δὴ καὶ κυκλώσω ἐν τῇ πόλει ἐν ταῖς ἀγοραῖς καὶ ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις καὶ ζητήσω ὃν ἠγάπησεν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐζήτησα αὐτὸν καὶ οὐχ εὗρον αὐτόν
Surgam , et circuibo civitatem : per vicos et plateas quaeram quem diligit anima mea : quaesivi illum , et non inveni .
እትነሣእ ፡ ወአዐውድ ፡ ሀገረ ። ውስተ ፡ ምሥያጣት ፡ ወውስተ ፡ መራሕብት ። እኅሥሥ ፡ ዘአፍቀረት ፡ ነፍስየ ። ኀሠሥክዎ ፡ ወኢረከብክዎ ። ጸዋዕክዎ ፡ ወኢተሰጥወኒ ።
I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn’t find him.
3:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ מְצָא֙וּנִי֙ הַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔ים הַסֹּבְבִ֖ים בָּעִ֑יר אֵ֛ת שֶֽׁאָהֲבָ֥ה נַפְשִׁ֖י רְאִיתֶֽם ׃
εὕροσάν με οἱ τηροῦντες οἱ κυκλοῦντες ἐν τῇ πόλει μὴ ὃν ἠγάπησεν ἡ ψυχή μου εἴδετε
Invenerunt me vigiles qui custodiunt civitatem : Num quem diligit anima mea vidistis ?
ረከቡኒ ፡ መዓቅብት ፡ እለ ፡ የዐቅቡ ፡ ሀገረ ። ርኢክሙኑ ፡ ዘአፍቀረት ፡ ነፍስየ ።
The watchmen who go about the city found me; “Have you seen him whom my soul loves?”
3:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּמְעַט֙ שֶׁעָבַ֣רְתִּי מֵהֶ֔ם עַ֣ד שֶׁמָּצָ֔אתִי אֵ֥ת שֶֽׁאָהֲבָ֖ה נַפְשִׁ֑י אֲחַזְתִּיו֙ וְלֹ֣א אַרְפֶּ֔נּוּ עַד ־שֶׁ֤הֲבֵיאתִיו֙ אֶל ־בֵּ֣ית אִמִּ֔י וְאֶל ־חֶ֖דֶר הוֹרָתִֽי ׃
ὡς μικρὸν ὅτε παρῆλθον ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ἕως οὗ εὗρον ὃν ἠγάπησεν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐκράτησα αὐτὸν καὶ οὐκ ἀφήσω αὐτόν ἕως οὗ εἰσήγαγον αὐτὸν εἰς οἶκον μητρός μου καὶ εἰς ταμίειον τῆς συλλαβούσης με
Paululum cum pertransissem eos , inveni quem diligit anima mea : tenui eum , nec dimittam , donec introducam illum in domum matris meae , et in cubiculum genetricis meae .
ንስቲተ ፡ ኀሊፍየ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ። ይእተ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ ረከብኩ ፡ ዘአፍቀረት ፡ ነፍስየ ። አኀዝክዎ ፡ ወኢየኀድጎ ። እስከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አባእክዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እምየ ። ወውስተ ፡ ውሳጥያቲሃ ፡ ለእንተ ፡ ሐፀነተኒ ።
I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, into the room of her who conceived me.
3:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִשְׁבַּ֨עְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֜ם בְּנ֤וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ בִּצְבָא֔וֹת א֖וֹ בְּאַיְל֣וֹת הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה אִם ־תָּעִ֧ירוּ ׀וְֽאִם ־תְּע֥וֹרְר֛וּ אֶת ־הָאַהֲבָ֖ה עַ֥ד שֶׁתֶּחְפָּֽץ ׃ {ס}
ὥρκισα ὑμᾶς θυγατέρες Ιερουσαλημ ἐν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἰσχύσεσιν τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐὰν ἐγείρητε καὶ ἐξεγείρητε τὴν ἀγάπην ἕως ἂν θελήσῃ
Adjuro vos , filiae Jerusalem , per capreas cervosque camporum , ne suscitetis , neque evigilare faciatis dilectam , donec ipsa velit .
አምሐልኩክን ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ። በኀይሉ ፡ ወበጽንዑ ፡ ለገዳም ። አመ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ወአንሥአ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሙታነ ። ኣፈቅሮ ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ፈቀደ ።
I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, or by the hinds of the field, that you not stir up nor awaken love, until it so desires.
3:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִ֣י זֹ֗את עֹלָה֙ מִן ־הַמִּדְבָּ֔ר כְּתִֽימְר֖וֹת עָשָׁ֑ן מְקֻטֶּ֤רֶת מֹר֙ וּלְבוֹנָ֔ה מִכֹּ֖ל אַבְקַ֥ת רוֹכֵֽל ׃
τίς αὕτη ἡ ἀναβαίνουσα ἀπὸ τῆς ἐρήμου ὡς στελέχη καπνοῦ τεθυμιαμένη σμύρναν καὶ λίβανον ἀπὸ πάντων κονιορτῶν μυρεψοῦ
Quae est ista quae ascendit per desertum sicut virgula fumi ex aromatibus myrrhae , et thuris , et universi pulveris pigmentarii ?
መኑ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ እንተ ፡ ተዐርግ ፡ እምገዳም ። ከመ ፡ ሠርጸ ፡ ጢስ ፡ ዕጥነታ ። ወከመ ፡ ደመና ፡ ዘጠፈረ ፡ ሰማይ ።
Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all spices of the merchant?
3:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֗ה מִטָּתוֹ֙ שֶׁלִּשְׁלֹמֹ֔ה שִׁשִּׁ֥ים גִּבֹּרִ֖ים סָבִ֣יב לָ֑הּ מִגִּבֹּרֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
ἰδοὺ ἡ κλίνη τοῦ Σαλωμων ἑξήκοντα δυνατοὶ κύκλῳ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ δυνατῶν Ισραηλ
En lectulum Salomonis sexaginta fortes ambiunt ex fortissimis Israël ,
ክልኤ ፡ አጥባትኪ ፡ ያውኅዛ ፡ ሐሊበ ። ከርቤ ፡ ወስኂን ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ጸበለ ፡ አፌኔዎስ ።
Behold, it is Solomon’s carriage! Sixty mighty men are around it, of the mighty men of Israel.
3:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֻּלָּם֙ אֲחֻ֣זֵי חֶ֔רֶב מְלֻמְּדֵ֖י מִלְחָמָ֑ה אִ֤ישׁ חַרְבּוֹ֙ עַל ־יְרֵכ֔וֹ מִפַּ֖חַד בַּלֵּילֽוֹת ׃ {ס}
πάντες κατέχοντες ῥομφαίαν δεδιδαγμένοι πόλεμον ἀνὴρ ῥομφαία αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ μηρὸν αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ θάμβους ἐν νυξίν
omnes tenentes gladios , et ad bella doctissimi : uniuscujusque ensis super femur suum propter timores nocturnos .
ናሁ ፡ ዐራቱ ፡ ለሰሎሞን ። ስሳ ፡ ኀያላን ፡ ዐውዳ ፡ እምኀያላነ ፡ እስራኤል ።
They all handle the sword, and are expert in war. Every man has his sword on his thigh, because of fear in the night.
3:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַפִּרְי֗וֹן עָ֤שָׂה לוֹ֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מֵעֲצֵ֖י הַלְּבָנֽוֹן ׃
φορεῖον ἐποίησεν ἑαυτῷ ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαλωμων ἀπὸ ξύλων τοῦ Λιβάνου
Ferculum fecit sibi rex Salomon de lignis Libani ;
ኵሎሙ ፡ እኁዛነ ፡ አስይፍት ፡ ወምሁራነ ፡ ቀትል ። ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ሰይፉ ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንቅዕቱ ። በድንጋፄ ፡ ሌሊት ።
King Solomon made himself a carriage of the wood of Lebanon.
3:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַמּוּדָיו֙ עָ֣שָׂה כֶ֔סֶף רְפִידָת֣וֹ זָהָ֔ב מֶרְכָּב֖וֹ אַרְגָּמָ֑ן תּוֹכוֹ֙ רָצ֣וּף אַהֲבָ֔ה מִבְּנ֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
στύλους αὐτοῦ ἐποίησεν ἀργύριον καὶ ἀνάκλιτον αὐτοῦ χρύσεον ἐπίβασις αὐτοῦ πορφυρᾶ ἐντὸς αὐτοῦ λιθόστρωτον ἀγάπην ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Ιερουσαλημ
columnas ejus fecit argenteas , reclinatorium aureum , ascensum purpureum ; media caritate constravit , propter filias Jerusalem .
መጾረ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ለርእሱ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ እምዕፀወ ፡ ሊባኖስ ።
He made its pillars of silver, its bottom of gold, its seat of purple, the middle of it being paved with love, from the daughters of Jerusalem.
3:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ צְאֶ֧נָה ׀וּֽרְאֶ֛ינָה בְּנ֥וֹת צִיּ֖וֹן בַּמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה בָּעֲטָרָ֗ה שֶׁעִטְּרָה ־לּ֤וֹ אִמּוֹ֙ בְּי֣וֹם חֲתֻנָּת֔וֹ וּבְי֖וֹם שִׂמְחַ֥ת לִבּֽוֹ ׃ {ס}
ἐξέλθατε καὶ ἴδετε ἐν τῷ βασιλεῖ Σαλωμων ἐν τῷ στεφάνῳ ᾧ ἐστεφάνωσεν αὐτὸν ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ νυμφεύσεως αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ εὐφροσύνης καρδίας αὐτοῦ
Egredimini et videte , filiae Sion , regem Salomonem in diademate quo coronavit illum mater sua in die desponsationis illius , et in die laetitiae cordis ejus .
አዕማዲሁ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ዘብሩር ። ሰርዲኖስ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ተርሴስ ። ኢዮጶሎግዮስ ፡ ዘምስለ ፡ ሶፎር ።
Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.
3:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — — ምስማኩ ፡ ዘወርቅ ። መንበሩ ፡ ዘሜላት ። አቊላፊሁ ፡ ወአቊላፊሁ ፡ ኢያሴምር ። ኅንብርቱ ፡ ዘቢረሌ ፡ ዘምስለ ፡ ኢያሰጲድ ፡ በባሕርይ ፡ ክዱን ። ውስጡ ፡ ንጡፍ ፡ በእብነ ፡ ሰንፔር ። ኣፈቅሮ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ እምአዋልደ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።
Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.
3:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ — — — ፃኣ ፡ ትርአያ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ጽዮን ። ለንጉሥ ፡ ሰሎሞን ። በአክሊል ፡ ዘአስተቀጸለቶ ፡ እሙ ። አመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ሕማሙ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ስቅለቱ ። ወአመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ መርዓሁ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ፍሥሓ ፡ ልቡ ።
Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.
