2:1
לָ֭מָּה רָגְשׁ֣וּ גוֹיִ֑ם וּ֝לְאֻמִּ֗ים יֶהְגּוּ־רִֽיק׃
ἵνα τί ἐφρύαξαν ἔθνη καὶ λαοὶ ἐμελέτησαν κενά
Astiterunt reges terrae, et principes convenerunt in unum adversus Dominum, et adversus christum ejus.
ትንቢት ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ክርስቶስ ፡ ወጽውዐ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ መዝሙር ፡ ዘዳዊት ። ለምንት ፡ አንገለጉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፤ ወሕዘብኒ ፡ ነበቡ ፡ ከንቶ ።
Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?
2:2
יִ֥תְיַצְּב֨וּ׀ מַלְכֵי־אֶ֗רֶץ וְרוֹזְנִ֥ים נֽוֹסְדוּ־יָ֑חַד עַל־יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה וְעַל־מְשִׁיחֽוֹ׃
παρέστησαν οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες συνήχθησαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κατὰ τοῦ κυρίου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ χριστοῦ αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα
Dirumpamus vincula eorum, et projiciamus a nobis jugum ipsorum.
ወተንሥኡ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፤ ወመላእክትኒ ፡ ተጋብኡ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ኅብረ ፤ ላዕለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ መሲሑ ።
The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,
2:3
נְֽ֭נַתְּקָה אֶת־מֽוֹסְרוֹתֵ֑ימוֹ וְנַשְׁלִ֖יכָה מִמֶּ֣נּוּ עֲבֹתֵֽימוֹ׃
διαρρήξωμεν τοὺς δεσμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπορρίψωμεν ἀφ’ ἡμῶν τὸν ζυγὸν αὐτῶν
Qui habitat in caelis irridebit eos, et Dominus subsannabit eos.
ንበትክ ፡ እምኔነ ፡ መኣሥሪሆሙ ፤ ወንገድፍ ፡ እምላዕሌነ ፡ አርዑቶሙ ።
“Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”
2:4
יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בַּשָּׁמַ֣יִם יִשְׂחָ֑ק אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י יִלְעַג־לָֽמוֹ׃
ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν οὐρανοῖς ἐκγελάσεται αὐτούς καὶ ὁ κύριος ἐκμυκτηριεῖ αὐτούς
Tunc loquetur ad eos in ira sua, et in furore suo conturbabit eos.
ዘይነብር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ይሥሕቆሙ ፤ ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ይሳለቅ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.
2:5
אָ֤ז יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֵ֣ימוֹ בְאַפּ֑וֹ וּֽבַחֲרוֹנ֥וֹ יְבַהֲלֵֽמוֹ׃
τότε λαλήσει πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐν ὀργῇ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ ταράξει αὐτούς
Ego autem constitutus sum rex ab eo super Sion, montem sanctum ejus, praedicans praeceptum ejus.
ሶበ ፡ ይነቦሙ ፡ በመዐቱ ፤ ወበመዐቱ ፡ የሀውኮሙ ።
Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:
2:6
וַ֭אֲנִי נָסַ֣כְתִּי מַלְכִּ֑י עַל־צִ֝יּ֗וֹן הַר־קׇדְשִֽׁי׃
ἐγὼ δὲ κατεστάθην βασιλεὺς ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Σιων ὄρος τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ
Dominus dixit ad me : Filius meus es tu ; ego hodie genui te.
ወአንሰ ፡ ተሠየምኩ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ በላዕሌሆሙ ፤ በጽዮን ፡ በደብረ ፡ መቅደሱ ።
“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”
2:7
אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה אֶֽ֫ל־חֹ֥ק יְֽהֹוָ֗ה אָמַ֘ר־אֵלַ֥י בְּנִ֥י אַ֑תָּה אֲ֝נִ֗י הַיּ֥וֹם יְלִדְתִּֽיךָ׃
διαγγέλλων τὸ πρόσταγμα κυρίου κύριος εἶπεν πρός με υἱός μου εἶ σύ ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε
Postula a me, et dabo tibi gentes haereditatem tuam, et possessionem tuam terminos terrae.
ከመ ፡ እንግር ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይቤለኒ ፡ ወልዱየ ፡ እንተ ፤ ወአነ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወለድኩከ ።
I will tell of the decree: Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.
2:8
שְׁאַ֤ל מִמֶּ֗נִּי וְאֶתְּנָ֣ה ג֭וֹיִם נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ וַ֝אֲחֻזָּתְךָ֗ אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃
αἴτησαι παρ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ δώσω σοι ἔθνη τὴν κληρονομίαν σου καὶ τὴν κατάσχεσίν σου τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς
Reges eos in virga ferrea, et tamquam vas figuli confringes eos.
ሰአል ፡ እምነየ ፡ ወእሁብከ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ለርስትከ ፤ ወምኵናኒከኒ ፡ እስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ።
Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
2:9
תְּ֭רֹעֵם בְּשֵׁ֣בֶט בַּרְזֶ֑ל כִּכְלִ֖י יוֹצֵ֣ר תְּנַפְּצֵֽם׃
ποιμανεῖς αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ ὡς σκεῦος κεραμέως συντρίψεις αὐτούς
Et nunc, reges, intelligite ; erudimini, qui judicatis terram.
ወትሬዕዮሙ ፡ በበትረ ፡ ኀጺን ፤ ወከመ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ለብሓ ፡ ትቀጠቅጦሙ ።
You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
2:10
וְ֭עַתָּה מְלָכִ֣ים הַשְׂכִּ֑ילוּ הִ֝וָּסְר֗וּ שֹׁ֣פְטֵי אָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ νῦν βασιλεῖς σύνετε παιδεύθητε πάντες οἱ κρίνοντες τὴν γῆν
Servite Domino in timore, et exsultate ei cum tremore.
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ለብዉ ፤ ወተገሠጹ ፡ ኵልክሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ትኬንንዋ ፡ ለምድር ።
Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
2:11
עִבְד֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּיִרְאָ֑ה וְ֝גִ֗ילוּ בִּרְעָדָֽה׃
δουλεύσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε αὐτῷ ἐν τρόμῳ
Apprehendite disciplinam, nequando irascatur Dominus, et pereatis de via justa.
ተቀነዩ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በፍርሀት ፤ ወተሐሠዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ በረዐድ ።
Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
2:12
נַשְּׁקוּ־בַ֡ר פֶּן־יֶאֱנַ֤ף׀ וְתֹ֬אבְדוּ דֶ֗רֶךְ כִּֽי־יִבְעַ֣ר כִּמְעַ֣ט אַפּ֑וֹ אַ֝שְׁרֵ֗י כׇּל־ח֥וֹסֵי בֽוֹ׃ {פ}
δράξασθε παιδείας μήποτε ὀργισθῇ κύριος καὶ ἀπολεῖσθε ἐξ ὁδοῦ δικαίας ὅταν ἐκκαυθῇ ἐν τάχει ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ μακάριοι πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπ’ αὐτῷ
Cum exarserit in brevi ira ejus, beati omnes qui confidunt in eo.
አጽንዕዋ ፡ ለጥበብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይትመዓዕ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢትትሐጐሉ ፡ እምፍኖተ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ነደት ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ መዐቱ ፤ ብፁዓን ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተወከሉ ፡ ቦቱ ።
Give sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish on the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.
