2:1
וְעַתָּ֗ה אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם הַמִּצְוָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃
καὶ νῦν ἡ ἐντολὴ αὕτη πρὸς ὑμᾶς οἱ ἱερεῖς
Et nunc ad vos mandatum hoc, o sacerdotes.
ወይእዜኒ፡ ዛቲ፡ ትእዛዝ፡ ለክሙ፡ ካህናት።
“Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.
2:2
אִם־לֹ֣א תִשְׁמְע֡וּ וְאִם־לֹא֩ תָשִׂ֨ימוּ עַל־לֵ֜ב לָתֵ֧ת כָּב֣וֹד לִשְׁמִ֗י אָמַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י בָכֶם֙ אֶת־הַמְּאֵרָ֔ה וְאָרוֹתִ֖י אֶת־בִּרְכוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וְגַם֙ אָרוֹתִ֔יהָ כִּ֥י אֵינְכֶ֖ם שָׂמִ֥ים עַל־לֵֽב׃
ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούσητε καὶ ἐὰν μὴ θῆσθε εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν τοῦ δοῦναι δόξαν τῷ ὀνόματί μου λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς τὴν κατάραν καὶ ἐπικαταράσομαι τὴν εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν καὶ καταράσομαι αὐτήν καὶ διασκεδάσω τὴν εὐλογίαν ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν ὅτι ὑμεῖς οὐ τίθεσθε εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν
Si nolueritis audire, et si nolueritis ponere super cor, ut detis gloriam nomini meo, ait Dominus exercituum, mittam in vos egestatem, et maledicam benedictionibus vestris, et maledicam illis, quoniam non posuistis super cor.
ለእ፡ ኢሰማዕክ፡ ወኢቦአ፡ ውስተ፡ ልብክመሙከመ፡ ተሀቡ፡ አኮቴተ፡ ለስምየ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ፡ ወእፌኑ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ መርገመ፡ ወእረግማ፡ ለበረከትክሙ፡ ወእመይጣ፡ ለበረከትክሙ፡ ወኢትሔለሉ፡ እንከ፡ ውስቴትክ፡ እስመ፡ ኢትሔልይዎ፡ በልብክሙ።
If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.
2:3
הִנְנִ֨י גֹעֵ֤ר לָכֶם֙ אֶת־הַזֶּ֔רַע וְזֵרִ֤יתִֽי פֶ֙רֶשׁ֙ עַל־פְּנֵיכֶ֔ם פֶּ֖רֶשׁ חַגֵּיכֶ֑ם וְנָשָׂ֥א אֶתְכֶ֖ם אֵלָֽיו׃
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀφορίζω ὑμῖν τὸν ὦμον καὶ σκορπιῶ ἤνυστρον ἐπὶ τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν ἤνυστρον ἑορτῶν ὑμῶν καὶ λήμψομαι ὑμᾶς εἰς τὸ αὐτό
Ecce ego projiciam vobis brachium, et dispergam super vultum vestrum stercus solemnitatum vestrarum, et assumet vos secum.
ናሁ፡ አነ፡ እመይጠክሙ፡ ዘባቲክሙ፡ ወእዘሩ፡ ኃፍረተ፡ ውስተ፡ ገጽክሙ፡ ወአኀስር፡ ባዓላቲክሙ፡ እነስአክሙ፡ ኅቡረ።
Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.
2:4
וִידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֚י שִׁלַּ֣חְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם אֵ֖ת הַמִּצְוָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את לִהְי֤וֹת בְּרִיתִי֙ אֶת־לֵוִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ ἐξαπέσταλκα πρὸς ὑμᾶς τὴν ἐντολὴν ταύτην τοῦ εἶναι τὴν διαθήκην μου πρὸς τοὺς Λευίτας λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ
Et scietis quia misi ad vos mandatum istud, ut esset pactum meum cum Levi, dicit Dominus exercituum.
ወተአምሩ፡ ከመ፡ አነ፡ ፈነውኩ፡ ለክ፡ ዘንተ፡ ትእዛዘ፡ ከመ፡ የሀሉ፡ ስርዓትየ፡ ኀበ፡ ሌዋውያ፡ ይበ፡ እግዚብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ።
You will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.
2:5
בְּרִיתִ֣י׀ הָיְתָ֣ה אִתּ֗וֹ הַֽחַיִּים֙ וְהַשָּׁל֔וֹם וָאֶתְּנֵֽם־ל֥וֹ מוֹרָ֖א וַיִּֽירָאֵ֑נִי וּמִפְּנֵ֥י שְׁמִ֖י נִחַ֥ת הֽוּא׃
ἡ διαθήκη μου ἦν μετ’ αὐτοῦ τῆς ζωῆς καὶ τῆς εἰρήνης καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῷ ἐν φόβῳ φοβεῖσθαί με καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου ὀνόματός μου στέλλεσθαι αὐτόν
Pactum meum fuit cum eo vitae et pacis : et dedi ei timorem, et timuit me, et a facie nominis mei pavebat.
ወየሀሉ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ስርዓትየ፡ ዘሕይወት፡ ዋሳላም፡ ወወህብክዎ፡ ፍርሀተ፡ ይፍርሀኒ፡ ቅድመ፡ ገጹ፡ ለስምየ።
“My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.
2:6
תּוֹרַ֤ת אֱמֶת֙ הָיְתָ֣ה בְּפִ֔יהוּ וְעַוְלָ֖ה לֹא־נִמְצָ֣א בִשְׂפָתָ֑יו בְּשָׁל֤וֹם וּבְמִישׁוֹר֙ הָלַ֣ךְ אִתִּ֔י וְרַבִּ֖ים הֵשִׁ֥יב מֵעָוֺֽן׃
νόμος ἀληθείας ἦν ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδικία οὐχ εὑρέθη ἐν χείλεσιν αὐτοῦ ἐν εἰρήνῃ κατευθύνων ἐπορεύθη μετ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ πολλοὺς ἐπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ ἀδικίας
Lex veritatis fuit in ore ejus, et iniquitas non est inventa in labiis ejus : in pace et in aequitate ambulavit mecum, et multos avertit ab iniquitate.
ወይሖር፡ ሕገ፡ ጽድቅየ፡ ውስተ፡ አፋሁ፡ ወኢይትረከብ፡ እንከ፡ ዓመፃ፡ ውስተ፡ ከናፍሪሁ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ርትዕ፡ ወሰላም፡ ወይሖር፡ ምስሌየ፡ ወለብዙኃን፡ ይሚጦሙ፡ እምጌጋዩሙ።
The law of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity.
2:7
כִּֽי־שִׂפְתֵ֤י כֹהֵן֙ יִשְׁמְרוּ־דַ֔עַת וְתוֹרָ֖ה יְבַקְשׁ֣וּ מִפִּ֑יהוּ כִּ֛י מַלְאַ֥ךְ יְהֹוָֽה־צְבָא֖וֹת הֽוּא׃
ὅτι χείλη ἱερέως φυλάξεται γνῶσιν καὶ νόμον ἐκζητήσουσιν ἐκ στόματος αὐτοῦ διότι ἄγγελος κυρίου παντοκράτορός ἐστιν
Labia enim sacerdotis custodient scientiam, et legem requirent ex ore ejus, quia angelus Domini exercituum est.
እስመ፡ ከናፍሪሁ፡ ለካህን፡ የዐቅብ፡ ምክረ፡ ዋያኃሥሥ፡ ሕገ፡ ወስተ፡ ልቡ፡ እስመ፡ መልአከ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ፡ ውእቱ።
For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh of Armies.
2:8
וְאַתֶּם֙ סַרְתֶּ֣ם מִן־הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ הִכְשַׁלְתֶּ֥ם רַבִּ֖ים בַּתּוֹרָ֑ה שִֽׁחַתֶּם֙ בְּרִ֣ית הַלֵּוִ֔י אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
ὑμεῖς δὲ ἐξεκλίνατε ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ καὶ πολλοὺς ἠσθενήσατε ἐν νόμῳ διεφθείρατε τὴν διαθήκην τοῦ Λευι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ
Vos autem recessistis de via, et scandalizastis plurimos in lege : irritum fecistis pactum Levi, dicit Dominus exercituum.
ወአንትሙሰ፡ ተግሕስክሙ፡ እምፍኖቱ፡ ወአስራሕክምዎሙ፡ ለብዙኃን፡ በሕግ፡ ወዐለወክሙ፡ ስርዓተ፡ ሌዊ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ።
But you have turned away from the path. You have caused many to stumble in the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.
2:9
וְגַם־אֲנִ֞י נָתַ֧תִּי אֶתְכֶ֛ם נִבְזִ֥ים וּשְׁפָלִ֖ים לְכׇל־הָעָ֑ם כְּפִ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֵֽינְכֶם֙ שֹׁמְרִ֣ים אֶת־דְּרָכַ֔י וְנֹשְׂאִ֥ים פָּנִ֖ים בַּתּוֹרָֽה׃ {פ}
κἀγὼ δέδωκα ὑμᾶς ἐξουδενωμένους καὶ παρειμένους εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀνθ’ ὧν ὑμεῖς οὐκ ἐφυλάξασθε τὰς ὁδούς μου ἀλλὰ ἐλαμβάνετε πρόσωπα ἐν νόμῳ
Propter quod et ego dedi vos contemptibiles, et humiles omnibus populis, sicut non servastis vias meas, et accepistis faciem in lege.
ወአነሂ፡ ረሰይኩክሙ፡ ኀሱራነ፡ ወዝርዋነ፡ ውስተ፡ ኲሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ እስመ፡ ኢዐቀብክሙ፡ ፍናውየ፡ ወአድለክሙ፡ ለገጽ፡ እምሕግ።
“Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.
2:10
הֲל֨וֹא אָ֤ב אֶחָד֙ לְכֻלָּ֔נוּ הֲל֛וֹא אֵ֥ל אֶחָ֖ד בְּרָאָ֑נוּ מַדּ֗וּעַ נִבְגַּד֙ אִ֣ישׁ בְּאָחִ֔יו לְחַלֵּ֖ל בְּרִ֥ית אֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃
οὐχὶ θεὸς εἷς ἔκτισεν ὑμᾶς οὐχὶ πατὴρ εἷς πάντων ὑμῶν τί ὅτι ἐγκατελίπετε ἕκαστος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ τοῦ βεβηλῶσαι τὴν διαθήκην τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν
Numquid non pater unus omnium nostrum ? numquid non Deus unus creavit nos ? quare ergo despicit unusquisque nostrum fratrem suum, violans pactum patrum nostrorum ?
አኮኑ፡ አሐዱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘፈጠረክሙ፡ ወአሐዱ፡ አቡክሙ፡ ለኲልክሙ፡ እስመ፡ ኲልክሙ፡ ኀድግሙ፡ ቢጸክሙ፡ ወአርኮስክሙ፡ ሕገ፡ አበዊክሙ።
Don’t we all have one father? Hasn’t one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
2:11
בָּגְדָ֣ה יְהוּדָ֔ה וְתוֹעֵבָ֛ה נֶעֶשְׂתָ֥ה בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וּבִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם כִּ֣י׀ חִלֵּ֣ל יְהוּדָ֗ה קֹ֤דֶשׁ יְהֹוָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָהֵ֔ב וּבָעַ֖ל בַּת־אֵ֥ל נֵכָֽר׃
ἐγκατελείφθη Ιουδας καὶ βδέλυγμα ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ διότι ἐβεβήλωσεν Ιουδας τὰ ἅγια κυρίου ἐν οἷς ἠγάπησεν καὶ ἐπετήδευσεν εἰς θεοὺς ἀλλοτρίους
Transgressus est Juda, et abominatio facta est in Israël et in Jerusalem, quia contaminavit Juda sanctificationem Domini, quam dilexit, et habuit filiam dei alieni.
ወተኀድገ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ዋራኲሰ፡ እስራኤል፡ በኢየሩሳሌም፡ እስመ፡ ገመነ፡ ይሁዳ፡ መቅደስየ፡ በዘ፡ አፍቀረ፡ ወአጣዐወ፡ ወአምለክ፡ አማልክተ፡ ነኪር።
Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of Yahweh which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.
2:12
יַכְרֵ֨ת יְהֹוָ֜ה לָאִ֨ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יַעֲשֶׂ֙נָּה֙ עֵ֣ר וְעֹנֶ֔ה מֵאׇהֳלֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֑ב וּמַגִּ֣ישׁ מִנְחָ֔ה לַיהֹוָ֖ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ {פ}
ἐξολεθρεύσει κύριος τὸν ἄνθρωπον τὸν ποιοῦντα ταῦτα ἕως καὶ ταπεινωθῇ ἐκ σκηνωμάτων Ιακωβ καὶ ἐκ προσαγόντων θυσίαν τῷ κυρίῳ παντοκράτορι
Disperdet Dominus virum qui fecerit hoc, magistrum et discipulum, de tabernaculis Jacob, et offerentem munus Domino exercituum.
ለይስርዎ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለኲሉ፡ ሰብእ፡ ዘይገብሮ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ግብር፡ ወይኀስር፡ እምአብተ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ወእምዕለ፡ ምጽኡ፡ መስዋዕተ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመል።
Yahweh will cut off the man who does this, him who wakes and him who answers, out of the tents of Jacob and him who offers an offering to Yahweh of Armies.
2:13
וְזֹאת֙ שֵׁנִ֣ית תַּעֲשׂ֔וּ כַּסּ֤וֹת דִּמְעָה֙ אֶת־מִזְבַּ֣ח יְהֹוָ֔ה בְּכִ֖י וַאֲנָקָ֑ה מֵאֵ֣ין ע֗וֹד פְּנוֹת֙ אֶל־הַמִּנְחָ֔ה וְלָקַ֥חַת רָצ֖וֹן מִיֶּדְכֶֽם׃
καὶ ταῦτα ἃ ἐμίσουν ἐποιεῖτε ἐκαλύπτετε δάκρυσιν τὸ θυσιαστήριον κυρίου καὶ κλαυθμῷ καὶ στεναγμῷ ἐκ κόπων ἔτι ἄξιον ἐπιβλέψαι εἰς θυσίαν ἢ λαβεῖν δεκτὸν ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν ὑμῶν
Et hoc rursum fecistis : operiebatis lacrimis altare Domini, fletu et mugitu, ita ut non respiciam ultra ad sacrificium, nec accipiam placabile quid de manu vestra.
ወዘንተ፡ ዘእጸልእ፡ ትገብሩ፡ ወደፈንክምዎ፡ በአንብዕ፡ ለምስዋዐ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወብካይ፡ ወገዓር፡ ወላሕ፡ ዓዲ፡ ኢይከልወክሙ፡ እንጽር፡ እንከሰ፡ መስዋዕተ፡ ወእትሜጦ፡ ኄረ፡ እምእዴክሙ።
“This again you do: you cover Yahweh’s altar with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he doesn’t regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.
2:14
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם עַל־מָ֑ה עַ֡ל כִּֽי־יְהֹוָה֩ הֵעִ֨יד בֵּינְךָ֜ וּבֵ֣ין׀ אֵ֣שֶׁת נְעוּרֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ בָּגַ֣דְתָּה בָּ֔הּ וְהִ֥יא חֲבֶרְתְּךָ֖ וְאֵ֥שֶׁת בְּרִיתֶֽךָ׃
καὶ εἴπατε ἕνεκεν τίνος ὅτι κύριος διεμαρτύρατο ἀνὰ μέσον σοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον γυναικὸς νεότητός σου ἣν ἐγκατέλιπες καὶ αὐτὴ κοινωνός σου καὶ γυνὴ διαθήκης σου
Et dixistis : Quam ob causam ? Quia Dominus testificatus est inter te et uxorem pubertatis tuae, quam tu despexisti : et haec particeps tua, et uxor foederis tui.
ወትቤሉ፡ በእነተ፡ ምንት፡ እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እስመዐ፡ ማዕከሌከ፡ ወማእለ፡ ብእሲትከ፡ እተ፡ እምንእስከ፡ እንተ፡ ኀደጋ፡ ወይእቲ፡ ሲታፌከ፡ ወብእሲት፡ እንተ፡ በሕግ፡ አውሰብከ።
Yet you say, ‘Why?’ Because Yahweh has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.
2:15
וְלֹא־אֶחָ֣ד עָשָׂ֗ה וּשְׁאָ֥ר ר֙וּחַ֙ ל֔וֹ וּמָה֙ הָאֶחָ֔ד מְבַקֵּ֖שׁ זֶ֣רַע אֱלֹהִ֑ים וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙ בְּר֣וּחֲכֶ֔ם וּבְאֵ֥שֶׁת נְעוּרֶ֖יךָ אַל־יִבְגֹּֽד׃
καὶ οὐκ ἄλλος ἐποίησεν καὶ ὑπόλειμμα πνεύματος αὐτοῦ καὶ εἴπατε τί ἄλλο ἀλλ’ ἢ σπέρμα ζητεῖ ὁ θεός καὶ φυλάξασθε ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ὑμῶν καὶ γυναῖκα νεότητός σου μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς
Nonne unus fecit, et residuum spiritus ejus est ? et quid unus quaerit, nisi semen Dei ? custodite ergo spiritum vestrum, et uxorem adolescentiae tuae noli despicere.
ወአኮ፡ ባዕድ፡ ዘብሮ፡ ለዝንቱ፡ ወተረፈ፡ መንፈሱ፡ ዋትቤሉ፡ ምንተ፡ ይፈቅድ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ዘርእ፡ ወተዐቀቡ፡ በመንፈስክሙ፡ ወኢትኀድግ፡ ብእሲተከ፡ እንተ፡ አመ፡ ንእስከ።
Did he not make you one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
2:16
כִּֽי־שָׂנֵ֣א שַׁלַּ֗ח אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְכִסָּ֤ה חָמָס֙ עַל־לְבוּשׁ֔וֹ אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥ם בְּרוּחֲכֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א תִבְגֹּֽדוּ׃ {פ}
ἀλλὰ ἐὰν μισήσας ἐξαποστείλῃς λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ καλύψει ἀσέβεια ἐπὶ τὰ ἐνθυμήματά σου λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ φυλάξασθε ἐν τῷ πνεύματι ὑμῶν καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐγκαταλίπητε
Cum odio habueris, dimitte, dicit Dominus Deus Israël : operiet autem iniquitas vestimentum ejus, dicit Dominus exercituum. Custodite spiritum vestrum, et nolite despicere.
ወእመሰ፡ ጸላእካሃ፡ ፈንዋ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ፡ እግዚእ፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወይከድን፡ ጽልሑተ፡ ዲበ፡ አልባሲሁ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘኲሎ፡ ይመልክ፡ ወተዐቀቡ፡ በመንፈስክሙ፡ ወአበይክሙ፡ ኀዲገ።
One who hates and divorces”, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies. “Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful.
2:17
הוֹגַעְתֶּ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ בְּדִבְרֵיכֶ֔ם וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בַּמָּ֣ה הוֹגָ֑עְנוּ בֶּאֱמׇרְכֶ֗ם כׇּל־עֹ֨שֵׂה רָ֜ע ט֣וֹב׀ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה וּבָהֶם֙ ה֣וּא חָפֵ֔ץ א֥וֹ אַיֵּ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
οἱ παροξύνοντες τὸν θεὸν ἐν τοῖς λόγοις ὑμῶν καὶ εἴπατε ἐν τίνι παρωξύναμεν αὐτόν ἐν τῷ λέγειν ὑμᾶς πᾶς ποιῶν πονηρόν καλὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐν αὐτοῖς αὐτὸς εὐδόκησεν καί ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεὸς τῆς δικαιοσύνης
Laborare fecistis Dominum in sermonibus vestris, et dixistis : In quo eum fecimus laborare ? In eo quod dicitis : Omnis qui facit malum bonus est in conspectu Domini, et tales ei placent : aut certe ubi est Deus judicii ?
እለ፡ ታምዕዕዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ በነገረክሙ፡ ወትብ፡ በእንተ፡ ምንት፡ አምዐዕናሁ፡ እስመ፡ ትብሉ፡ ኲሉ፡ ዘይገብር፡ እኩየ፡ ይኤድሞ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወኪያሆሙኒ፡ ይሠምር፡ ወአይቴኑ፡ እንከ፡ አምላክ፡ ጽድቅ።
You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say, ‘How have we wearied him?’ In that you say, ‘Everyone who does evil is good in Yahweh’s sight, and he delights in them;’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’
