35:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַדָּבָ֛ר אֲשֶׁר ־הָיָ֥ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה בִּימֵ֨י יְהוֹיָקִ֧ים בֶּן ־יֹאשִׁיָּ֛הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ τετάρτῳ ἔτει Σεδεκια βασιλέως Ιουδα ἐν μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ εἶπέν μοι Ανανιας υἱὸς Αζωρ ὁ ψευδοπροφήτης ὁ ἀπὸ Γαβαων ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἱερέων καὶ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων
Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino in diebus Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda , dicens :
ቃል ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ኢዮአቄም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወይቤ ።
The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,
35:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָלוֹךְ֮ אֶל ־בֵּ֣ית הָרֵכָבִים֒ וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אוֹתָ֔ם וַהֲבִֽאוֹתָם֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל ־אַחַ֖ת הַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹת וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֥ אוֹתָ֖ם יָֽיִן ׃
οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος συνέτριψα τὸν ζυγὸν τοῦ βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος
Vade ad domum Rechabitarum , et loquere eis , et introduces eos in domum Domini , in unam exedram thesaurorum , et dabis eis bibere vinum .
ሑር ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሬኬቤን ፡ ወአምጽኦሙ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተናግሮሙ ፡ ወአብኦሙ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ አሐቲ ፡ እምሕዋራት ፡ ወአስትዮሙ ፡ ወይነ ።
“Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into Yahweh’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.”
35:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶקַּ֞ח אֶת ־יַאֲזַנְיָ֤ה בֶֽן ־יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן ־חֲבַצִּנְיָ֔ה וְאֶת ־אֶחָ֖יו וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־בָּנָ֑יו וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־בֵּ֥ית הָרֵכָבִֽים ׃
ἔτι δύο ἔτη ἡμερῶν ἐγὼ ἀποστρέψω εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον τὰ σκεύη οἴκου κυρίου
Et assumpsi Jezoniam filium Jeremiae filii Habsaniae , et fratres ejus , et omnes filios ejus , et universam domum Rechabitarum ,
ወነሣእክዎሙ ፡ ወአውፃእክዎሙ ፡ ለኢያዛንያን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢያራምያን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ከባሲን ፡ ወለአኃዊሁ ፡ ወለደቂቁ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሬኬቤን ።
Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, with his brothers, all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;
35:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאָבִ֤א אֹתָם֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל ־לִשְׁכַּ֗ת בְּנֵ֛י חָנָ֥ן בֶּן ־יִגְדַּלְיָ֖הוּ אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים אֲשֶׁר ־אֵ֙צֶל֙ לִשְׁכַּ֣ת הַשָּׂרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר מִמַּ֗עַל לְלִשְׁכַּ֛ת מַעֲשֵׂיָ֥הוּ בֶן ־שַׁלֻּ֖ם שֹׁמֵ֥ר הַסַּֽף ׃
καὶ Ιεχονιαν καὶ τὴν ἀποικίαν Ιουδα ὅτι συντρίψω τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος
et introduxi eos in domum Domini , ad gazophylacium filiorum Hanan filii Jegedeliae hominis Dei , quod erat juxta gazophylacium principum , super thesaurum Maasiae filii Sellum , qui erat custos vestibuli :
ወአባእክዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጰስጠፎርያ ፡ ዘደቂቀ ፡ ሐናን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ገዶልያ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘውእቱ ፡ ቅሩበ ፡ ሕዋረ ፡ መላእክት ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ጰስጠፎርያ ፡ ማሴው ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሴሎም ፡ ዘየዐቅብ ፡ አንቀጸ ።
and I brought them into Yahweh’s house, into the room of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the princes, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.
35:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶתֵּ֞ן לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ בְּנֵ֣י בֵית ־הָרֵכָבִ֗ים גְּבִעִ֛ים מְלֵאִ֥ים יַ֖יִן וְכֹס֑וֹת וָאֹמַ֥ר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁתוּ ־יָֽיִן ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας πρὸς Ανανιαν κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἱερέων τῶν ἑστηκότων ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου
et posui coram filiis domus Rechabitarum scyphos plenos vino , et calices , et dixi ad eos : Bibite vinum .
ወወሀብኩ ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ ሬኬቤን ፡ ጻሕባተ ፡ ምሉኣነ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወጽዋዓተ ፡ ወእቤ ፡ ስትዩ ፡ ወይነ ።
I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, “Drink wine!”
35:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹ֣א נִשְׁתֶּה ־יָּ֑יִן כִּי֩ יוֹנָדָ֨ב בֶּן ־רֵכָ֜ב אָבִ֗ינוּ צִוָּ֤ה עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֧א תִשְׁתּוּ ־יַ֛יִן אַתֶּ֥ם וּבְנֵיכֶ֖ם עַד ־עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας ἀληθῶς οὕτω ποιήσαι κύριος στήσαι τὸν λόγον σου ὃν σὺ προφητεύεις τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι τὰ σκεύη οἴκου κυρίου καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀποικίαν ἐκ Βαβυλῶνος εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον
Qui responderunt Non bibemus vinum , quia Jonadab filius Rechab , pater noster , praecepit nobis , dicens : Non bibetis vinum , vos et filii vestri , usque in sempiternum :
ወይቤሉ ፡ ኢንሰቲ ፡ ወይነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሬኬብ ፡ አቡነ ፡ አዘዘነ ፡ ወይቤለነ ፡ ኢትስተዩ ፡ ወይነ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ወደቂቅክሙ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
But they said, “We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘You shall drink no wine, neither you nor your children, forever.
35:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבַ֣יִת לֹֽא ־תִבְנ֗וּ וְזֶ֤רַע לֹֽא ־תִזְרָ֙עוּ֙ וְכֶ֣רֶם לֹֽא ־תִטָּ֔עוּ וְלֹ֥א יִהְיֶ֖ה לָכֶ֑ם כִּ֠י בׇּאֳהָלִ֤ים תֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵיכֶ֔ם לְמַ֨עַן תִּֽחְי֜וּ יָמִ֤ים רַבִּים֙ עַל ־פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם גָּרִ֥ים שָֽׁם ׃
πλὴν ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον κυρίου ὃν ἐγὼ λέγω εἰς τὰ ὦτα ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς τὰ ὦτα παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ
et domum non aedificabitis , et sementem non seretis , et vineas non plantabitis , nec habebitis : sed in tabernaculis habitabitis cunctis diebus vestris , ut vivatis diebus multis super faciem terrae in qua vos peregrinamini .
ወቤተ ፡ ኢትሕንጹ ፡ ወዘርአ ፡ ኢትዝርኡ ፡ ወኢይኩንክሙ ፡ ወይን ፡ እስመ ፡ በደባትር ፡ ተኀድሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕሊክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሕየዉ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘሖርክሙ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ውስቴታ ።
You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, or have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land in which you live as nomads.’
35:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַנִּשְׁמַ֗ע בְּק֨וֹל יְהוֹנָדָ֤ב בֶּן ־רֵכָב֙ אָבִ֔ינוּ לְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֑נוּ לְבִלְתִּ֤י שְׁתֽוֹת ־יַ֙יִן֙ כׇּל ־יָמֵ֔ינוּ אֲנַ֣חְנוּ נָשֵׁ֔ינוּ בָּנֵ֖ינוּ וּבְנֹתֵֽינוּ ׃
οἱ προφῆται οἱ γεγονότες πρότεροί μου καὶ πρότεροι ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἐπροφήτευσαν ἐπὶ γῆς πολλῆς καὶ ἐπὶ βασιλείας μεγάλας εἰς πόλεμον
Obedivimus ergo voci Jonadab filii Rechab , patris nostri , in omnibus quae praecepit nobis , ita ut non biberemus vinum cunctis diebus nostris , nos , et mulieres nostrae , filii , et filiae nostrae ,
ወሰማዕነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሬኬብ ፡ አቡነ ፡ በዘኢንሰቲ ፡ ወይነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕሊነ ፡ ንሕነ ፡ ወአንስቲያነ ፡ ወደቂቅነ ፡ ወአዋልዲነ ።
We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;
35:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י בְּנ֥וֹת בָּתִּ֖ים לְשִׁבְתֵּ֑נוּ וְכֶ֧רֶם וְשָׂדֶ֛ה וָזֶ֖רַע לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה ־לָּֽנוּ ׃
ὁ προφήτης ὁ προφητεύσας εἰς εἰρήνην ἐλθόντος τοῦ λόγου γνώσονται τὸν προφήτην ὃν ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοῖς κύριος ἐν πίστει
et non aedificaremus domos ad habitandum : et vineam , et agrum , et sementem non habuimus :
ወኢለነዲቀ ፡ አብያት ፡ ለነቢር ፡ ህየ ፡ ወወይን ፡ ወገራህት ፡ ወዘርእኢኮነ ፡ ለነ ።
and not to build houses for ourselves to dwell in. We have no vineyard, field, or seed;
35:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַנֵּ֖שֶׁב בׇּאֳהָלִ֑ים וַנִּשְׁמַ֣ע וַנַּ֔עַשׂ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֖נוּ יוֹנָדָ֥ב אָבִֽינוּ ׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Ανανιας ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τοὺς κλοιοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ τραχήλου Ιερεμιου καὶ συνέτριψεν αὐτούς
sed habitavimus in tabernaculis , et obedientes fuimus juxta omnia quae praecepit nobis Jonadab pater noster .
ወኀደርነ ፡ በደባትር ፡ ወሰማዕነ ፡ ወገብርነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዘነ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ አቡነ ።
but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
35:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֗י בַּעֲל֨וֹת נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ ־בָּבֶל֮ אֶל ־הָאָ֒רֶץ֒ וַנֹּ֗אמֶר בֹּ֚אוּ וְנָב֣וֹא יְרוּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם מִפְּנֵי֙ חֵ֣יל הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּמִפְּנֵ֖י חֵ֣יל אֲרָ֑ם וַנֵּ֖שֶׁב בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃ {פ}
καὶ εἶπεν Ανανιας κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος οὕτως συντρίψω τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ἀπὸ τραχήλων πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ᾤχετο Ιερεμιας εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ
Cum autem ascendisset Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis ad terram nostram , diximus : Venite , et ingrediamur Jerusalem a facie exercitus Chaldaeorum , et a facie exercitus Syriae : et mansimus in Jerusalem .
ወኮነ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐርገ ፡ ናቡከደነፆር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ይቤሉነ ፡ ባኡ ።
But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘Come! Let’s go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.’”
35:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר ־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν μετὰ τὸ συντρῖψαι Ανανιαν τοὺς κλοιοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ τραχήλου αὐτοῦ λέγων
Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
35:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּה ־אָמַ֞ר יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הָלֹ֤ךְ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ לְאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּלְיוֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם הֲל֨וֹא תִקְח֥וּ מוּסָ֛ר לִשְׁמֹ֥עַ אֶל ־דְּבָרַ֖י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
βάδιζε καὶ εἰπὸν πρὸς Ανανιαν λέγων οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος κλοιοὺς ξυλίνους συνέτριψας καὶ ποιήσω ἀντ’ αὐτῶν κλοιοὺς σιδηροῦς
Haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Vade , et dic viris Juda et habitatoribus Jerusalem : Numquid non recipietis disciplinam , ut obediatis verbis meis ? dicit Dominus .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላክ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ሑር ፡ ወበሎሙ ፡ ለሰብአ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ኢትነሥኡኑ ፡ ትምህርተ ፡ ለሰሚዐ ፡ ነገርየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, “Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words?” says Yahweh.
35:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ הוּקַ֡ם אֶת ־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב בֶּן ־רֵ֠כָ֠ב אֲשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֨ה אֶת ־בָּנָ֜יו לְבִלְתִּ֣י שְׁתֽוֹת ־יַ֗יִן וְלֹ֤א שָׁתוּ֙ עַד ־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֣י שָֽׁמְע֔וּ אֵ֖ת מִצְוַ֣ת אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם֙ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם וְדַבֵּ֔ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֵלָֽי ׃
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ζυγὸν σιδηροῦν ἔθηκα ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐργάζεσθαι τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος
Praevaluerunt sermones Jonadab filii Rechab quos praecepit filiis suis ut non biberent vinum , et non biberunt usque ad diem hanc , quia obedierunt praecepto patris sui : ego autem locutus sum ad vos , de mane consurgens et loquens , et non obedistis mihi .
ቆመ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሬኬብ ፡ ዘአዘዘ ፡ ለደቂቁ ፡ ኢይስተዩ ፡ ወይነ ፡ ወኢሰትዩ ፡ ወይነ ፡ እንከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዛዕለት ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰምዑ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ አቡሆሙ ።
“The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment; but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, and you have not listened to me.
35:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶשְׁלַ֣ח אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם אֶת ־כׇּל ־עֲבָדַ֣י הַנְּבִאִ֣ים ׀הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם וְשָׁלֹ֣חַ ׀לֵאמֹ֡ר שֻֽׁבוּ ־נָ֡א אִישׁ֩ מִדַּרְכּ֨וֹ הָרָעָ֜ה וְהֵיטִ֣יבוּ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֗ם וְאַל ־תֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ אַחֲרֵ֨י אֱלֹהִ֤ים אֲחֵרִים֙ לְעׇבְדָ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ אֶל ־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־נָתַ֥תִּי לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם וְלֹ֤א הִטִּיתֶם֙ אֶֽת ־אׇזְנְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֵלָֽי ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας τῷ Ανανια οὐκ ἀπέσταλκέν σε κύριος καὶ πεποιθέναι ἐποίησας τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον ἐπ’ ἀδίκῳ
Misique ad vos omnes servos meos prophetas , consurgens diluculo mittensque , et dicens : Convertimini unusquisque a via sua pessima , et bona facite studia vestra : et nolite sequi deos alienos , neque colatis eos , et habitabitis in terra quam dedi vobis et patribus vestris : et non inclinastis aurem vestram , neque audistis me .
ወፈነውኩ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ አግብርትየ ፡ ነቢያተ ፡ ወእቤ ፡ ግብኡ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምፍኖት ፡ እኩይ ፡ ወሕሊናክሙ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ግበሩ ፡ ወኢትሑሩ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ኢትትቀነዩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወተኀድሩ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀብኩ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወለአበዊክሙ ፡ ወኢያጽማዕክሙ ፡ በእዘኒክሙ ፡ ወኢሰማዕክሙኒ ።
I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, ‘Every one of you must return now from his evil way, amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them. Then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers;’ but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.
35:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י הֵקִ֗ימוּ בְּנֵי֙ יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב בֶּן ־רֵכָ֔ב אֶת ־מִצְוַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֑ם וְהָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה לֹ֥א שָׁמְע֖וּ אֵלָֽי ׃
διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω σε ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς τούτῳ τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ ἀποθανῇ
Firmaverunt igitur filii Jonadab filii Rechab praeceptum patris sui quod praeceperat eis : populus autem iste non obedivit mihi .
ወአቀሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሬኬብ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ አቡሆሙ ፡ ዘአዘዞሙ ፡ ወኢሰምዑኒ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me.”’
35:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָ֠כֵ֠ן כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִ֧י מֵבִ֣יא אֶל ־יְהוּדָ֗ה וְאֶ֤ל כׇּל ־יֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם אֵ֚ת כׇּל ־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם יַ֣עַן דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֲלֵיהֶם֙ וְלֹ֣א שָׁמֵ֔עוּ וָאֶקְרָ֥א לָהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א עָנֽוּ ׃
καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ
Idcirco haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Ecce ego adducam super Juda et super omnes habitatores Jerusalem universam afflictionem quam locutus sum adversum illos , eo quod locutus sum ad illos , et non audierunt ; vocavi illos , et non responderunt mihi .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አመጽእ ፡ ለይሁዳ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተናገርክዎሙ ፡ ወኢሰምዑኒ ፡ ጸዋዕክዎሙ ፡ ወኢያውሥኡኒ ።
“Therefore Yahweh, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.’”
35:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְבֵ֨ית הָרֵכָבִ֜ים אָמַ֣ר יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֞ר יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יַ֚עַן אֲשֶׁ֣ר שְׁמַעְתֶּ֔ם עַל ־מִצְוַ֖ת יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב אֲבִיכֶ֑ם וַֽתִּשְׁמְרוּ֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מִצְוֺתָ֔יו וַֽתַּעֲשׂ֔וּ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֖ה אֶתְכֶֽם ׃
— Domui autem Rechabitarum dixit Jeremias : Haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Pro eo quod obedistis praecepto Jonadab patris vestri , et custodistis omnia mandata ejus , et fecistis universa quae praecepit vobis ,
ወለቤተ ፡ ሬኬቤን ፡ ይቤ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ አቡክሙ ፡ ወዐቀብክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወገበርክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዘክሙ ።
Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, “Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you,’
35:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לֹא ־יִכָּרֵ֨ת אִ֜ישׁ לְיוֹנָדָ֧ב בֶּן ־רֵכָ֛ב עֹמֵ֥ד לְפָנַ֖י כׇּל ־הַיָּמִֽים ׃ {פ}
— propterea haec dicit Dominus exercituum , Deus Israël : Non deficiet vir de stirpe Jonadab filii Rechab , stans in conspectu meo cunctis diebus .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ኢየኀልቅ ፡ እምደቂቀ ፡ ዮናዳብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሬኬብ ፡ ዘይቀውም ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕለ ።
therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”
