36:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הָרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן ־יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָ֞ה הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι τῆς βίβλου οὓς ἀπέστειλεν Ιερεμιας ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ πρὸς τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους τῆς ἀποικίας καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ψευδοπροφήτας ἐπιστολὴν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα τῇ ἀποικίᾳ καὶ πρὸς ἅπαντα τὸν λαὸν
Et factum est in anno quarto Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda , factum est verbum hoc ad Jeremiam a Domino , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ በራብዒት ፡ ዓመተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ለኢዮአቄም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ቃል ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ወይቤ ።
In the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
36:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ קַח ־לְךָ֮ מְגִלַּת ־סֵ֒פֶר֒ וְכָתַבְתָּ֣ אֵלֶ֗יהָ אֵ֣ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֞ים אֲשֶׁר ־דִּבַּ֧רְתִּי אֵלֶ֛יךָ עַל ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל וְעַל ־יְהוּדָ֖ה וְעַל ־כׇּל ־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם מִיּ֞וֹם דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ מִימֵ֣י יֹאשִׁיָּ֔הוּ וְעַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה ׃
ὕστερον ἐξελθόντος Ιεχονιου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῆς βασιλίσσης καὶ τῶν εὐνούχων καὶ παντὸς ἐλευθέρου καὶ δεσμώτου καὶ τεχνίτου ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ
Tolle volumen libri , et scribes in eo omnia verba quae locutus sum tibi adversum Israël et Judam , et adversum omnes gentes , a die qua locutus sum ad te ex diebus Josiae usque ad diem hanc :
ንሣእ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ ወጸሐፍ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እምዕለት ፡ ዘነበብኩ ፡ ለከ ፡ እንአመ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ።
“Take a scroll of a book, and write in it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah even to this day.
36:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ אוּלַ֤י יִשְׁמְעוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אֵ֚ת כׇּל ־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י חֹשֵׁ֖ב לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָהֶ֑ם לְמַ֣עַן יָשׁ֗וּבוּ אִ֚ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֔ה וְסָלַחְתִּ֥י לַעֲוֺנָ֖ם וּלְחַטָּאתָֽם ׃ {ס}
ἐν χειρὶ Ελεασα υἱοῦ Σαφαν καὶ Γαμαριου υἱοῦ Χελκιου ὃν ἀπέστειλεν Σεδεκιας βασιλεὺς Ιουδα πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Βαβυλῶνα λέγων
si forte , audiente domo Juda universa mala quae ego cogito facere eis , revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima , et propitius ero iniquitati et peccato eorum .
እመ ፡ ይሰምዑ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘእገብር ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ዘሐለይኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሰወጡ ፡ እም ፡ እኩይ ፡ ፍኖቶሙ ፡ ወእሠሀል ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ወጌጋዮሙ ።
It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I intend to do to them, that they may each return from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.”
36:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֣א יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֶת ־בָּר֖וּךְ בֶּן ־נֵֽרִיָּ֑ה וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב בָּר֜וּךְ מִפִּ֣י יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ אֵ֣ת כׇּל ־דִּבְרֵ֧י יְהֹוָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר ־דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלָ֖יו עַל ־מְגִלַּת ־סֵֽפֶר ׃
οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὴν ἀποικίαν ἣν ἀπῴκισα ἀπὸ Ιερουσαλημ
Vocavit ergo Jeremias Baruch filium Neriae : et scripsit Baruch ex ore Jeremiae omnes sermones Domini quos locutus est ad eum , in volumine libri :
ወጸውዖ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኔርዩ ፡ ወጸሐፈ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ እምአፈ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘነበበ ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ በክርታሰ ፡ መጽሐፍ ።
Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah; and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all Yahweh’s words, which he had spoken to him, on a scroll of a book.
36:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֶת ־בָּר֖וּךְ לֵאמֹ֑ר אֲנִ֣י עָצ֔וּר לֹ֣א אוּכַ֔ל לָב֖וֹא בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה ׃
οἰκοδομήσατε οἴκους καὶ κατοικήσατε καὶ φυτεύσατε παραδείσους καὶ φάγετε τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῶν
et praecepit Jeremias Baruch , dicens : Ego clausus sum , nec valeo ingredi domum Domini .
ወአዘዞ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ አነ ፡ ሙቁሕ ፡ ወኢይክል ፡ በዊአ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, “I am restricted. I can’t go into Yahweh’s house.
36:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָאתָ֣ אַתָּ֡ה וְקָרָ֣אתָ בַמְּגִלָּ֣ה אֲשֶׁר ־כָּתַֽבְתָּ ־מִפִּי֩ אֶת ־דִּבְרֵ֨י יְהֹוָ֜ה בְּאׇזְנֵ֥י הָעָ֛ם בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָ֖ה בְּי֣וֹם צ֑וֹם וְגַ֨ם בְּאׇזְנֵ֧י כׇל ־יְהוּדָ֛ה הַבָּאִ֥ים מֵעָרֵיהֶ֖ם תִּקְרָאֵֽם ׃
καὶ λάβετε γυναῖκας καὶ τεκνοποιήσατε υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ λάβετε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν γυναῖκας καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν ἀνδράσιν δότε καὶ πληθύνεσθε καὶ μὴ σμικρυνθῆτε
Ingredere ergo tu , et lege de volumine in quo scripsisti ex ore meo verba Domini , audiente populo in domo Domini , in die jejunii : insuper et audiente universo Juda qui veniunt de civitatibus suis , leges eis ,
ወትበውእ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወታነብብ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ዘጸሐፍከ ፡ እምአፉየ ፡ ነገረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በዕለተ ፡ ጾም ፡ በእዝነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ እለ ፡ ይመጽኡ ፡ እምአህጉሪሆሙ ፡ ታነብብ ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ።
Therefore you go, and read from the scroll which you have written from my mouth, Yahweh’s words, in the ears of the people in Yahweh’s house on the fast day. Also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah who come out of their cities.
36:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ אוּלַ֞י תִּפֹּ֤ל תְּחִנָּתָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה וְיָשֻׁ֕בוּ אִ֖ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֑ה כִּֽי ־גָד֤וֹל הָאַף֙ וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה ׃
καὶ ζητήσατε εἰς εἰρήνην τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ἀπῴκισα ὑμᾶς ἐκεῖ καὶ προσεύξασθε περὶ αὐτῶν πρὸς κύριον ὅτι ἐν εἰρήνῃ αὐτῆς ἔσται εἰρήνη ὑμῖν
si forte cadat oratio eorum in conspectu Domini , et revertatur unusquisque a via sua pessima : quoniam magnus furor et indignatio est quam locutus est Dominus adversus populum hunc .
እመቦ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይወድቅ ፡ ሣህሎሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይገብኡ ፡ እምእኩይ ፡ ፍኖቶሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ መዐቱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘነበበ ፡ በውእቶሙ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
It may be they will present their supplication before Yahweh, and will each return from his evil way; for Yahweh has pronounced great anger and wrath against this people.”
36:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֗עַשׂ בָּרוּךְ֙ בֶּן ־נֵ֣רִיָּ֔ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֖הוּ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֑יא לִקְרֹ֥א בַסֵּ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται οἱ ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ μὴ ἀναπειθέτωσαν ὑμᾶς οἱ μάντεις ὑμῶν καὶ μὴ ἀκούετε εἰς τὰ ἐνύπνια ὑμῶν ἃ ὑμεῖς ἐνυπνιάζεσθε
Et fecit Baruch filius Neriae juxta omnia quae praeceperat ei Jeremias propheta , legens ex volumine sermones Domini in domo Domini .
ወገብረ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኔርዩ ፡ በከመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘአዘዞ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ነቢይ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያንብብ ፡ በመጽሐፍ ፡ ነገረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book Yahweh’s words in Yahweh’s house.
36:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֣י בַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַ֠חֲמִשִׁ֠ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֨ים בֶּן ־יֹאשִׁיָּ֤הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁעִ֔י קָרְא֨וּ צ֜וֹם לִפְנֵ֧י יְהֹוָ֛ה כׇּל ־הָעָ֖ם בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְכׇל ־הָעָ֗ם הַבָּאִ֛ים מֵעָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
ὅτι ἄδικα αὐτοὶ προφητεύουσιν ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστειλα αὐτούς
Factum est autem in anno quinto Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda , in mense nono : praedicaverunt jejunium in conspectu Domini omni populo in Jerusalem , et universae multitudini quae confluxerat de civitatibus Juda in Jerusalem .
ወኮነ ፡ በዓመት ፡ ኃምሲት ፡ እምዘ ፡ ነግሠ ፡ ኢዮአቄም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኢዮስያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ በታስዕ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ሰበኩ ፡ ጾመ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እለመጽኡ ፡ እምይሁዳ ።
Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before Yahweh.
36:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֨א בָר֥וּךְ בַּסֵּ֛פֶר אֶת ־דִּבְרֵ֥י יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה בְּלִשְׁכַּ֡ת גְּמַרְיָ֩הוּ֩ בֶן ־שָׁפָ֨ן הַסֹּפֵ֜ר בֶּחָצֵ֣ר הָעֶלְי֗וֹן פֶּ֣תַח שַׁ֤עַר בֵּית ־יְהֹוָה֙ הֶחָדָ֔שׁ בְּאׇזְנֵ֖י כׇּל ־הָעָֽם ׃
ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὅταν μέλλῃ πληροῦσθαι Βαβυλῶνι ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἐπισκέψομαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπιστήσω τοὺς λόγους μου ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς τοῦ τὸν λαὸν ὑμῶν ἀποστρέψαι εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον
Legitque Baruch ex volumine sermones Jeremiae in domo Domini , in gazophylacio Gamariae filii Saphan scribae , in vestibulo superiori , in introitu portae novae domus Domini , audiente omni populo .
ወአንበበ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ ውእተ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ዘነገሮ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ በቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በሕዋረ ፡ ገማርዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሳፋን ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ በዐፀድ ፡ ዘላዕሉ ፡ በአንቀጽ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዴዴ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐዲስ ፡ በእዝነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
Then Baruch read the words of Jeremiah from the book in Yahweh’s house, in the room of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the new gate of Yahweh’s house, in the ears of all the people.
36:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַ֠יִּשְׁמַ֠ע מִכָ֨יְהוּ בֶן ־גְּמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן ־שָׁפָ֛ן אֶת ־כׇּל ־דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל הַסֵּֽפֶר ׃
καὶ λογιοῦμαι ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς λογισμὸν εἰρήνης καὶ οὐ κακὰ τοῦ δοῦναι ὑμῖν ταῦτα
Cumque audisset Michaeas filius Gamariae filii Saphan omnes sermones Domini ex libro ,
ወሰምዐ ፡ ሚክያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ገማርዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሳፋን ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመጽሐፍ ።
When Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all Yahweh’s words,
36:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֵּ֤רֶד בֵּית ־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל ־לִשְׁכַּ֣ת הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהִ֨נֵּה ־שָׁ֔ם כׇּל ־הַשָּׂרִ֖ים יוֹשְׁבִ֑ים אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֡ר וּדְלָיָ֣הוּ בֶן ־שְׁ֠מַֽעְיָ֠הוּ וְאֶלְנָתָ֨ן בֶּן ־עַכְבּ֜וֹר וּגְמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן ־שָׁפָ֛ן וְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ בֶן ־חֲנַנְיָ֖הוּ וְכׇל ־הַשָּׂרִֽים ׃
καὶ προσεύξασθε πρός με καὶ εἰσακούσομαι ὑμῶν
descendit in domum regis , ad gazophylacium scribae , et ecce ibi omnes principes sedebant : Elisama scriba , et Dalaias filius Semeiae , et Elnathan filius Achobor , et Gamarias filius Saphan , et Sedecias filius Hananiae , et universi principes :
ወወረደ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሕዋረ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወናሁ ፡ ህየ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መላእክቲሁ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ኤሊሲማ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወዳልያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሴሌምዩ ፡ ወዮናታን ፡ ወልደ ፡ አክበር ፡ ወገማርዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሳፋን ፡ ሴዴቅያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሐናንያ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክት ።
he went down into the king’s house, into the scribe’s room; and behold, all the princes were sitting there, Elishama the scribe, Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, Elnathan the son of Achbor, Gemariah the son of Shaphan, Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
36:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּגֵּ֤ד לָהֶם֙ מִכָ֔יְהוּ אֵ֥ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמֵ֑עַ בִּקְרֹ֥א בָר֛וּךְ בַּסֵּ֖פֶר בְּאׇזְנֵ֥י הָעָֽם ׃
καὶ ἐκζητήσατέ με καὶ εὑρήσετέ με ὅτι ζητήσετέ με ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν
et nuntiavit eis Michaeas omnia verba quae audivit , legente Baruch ex volumine in auribus populi .
ወአይድዐ ፡ ሚክያስ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዘሰምዐ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አንበበ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ በመጽሐፍ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ሕዝብ ።
Then Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
36:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ כׇל ־הַשָּׂרִ֜ים אֶל ־בָּר֗וּךְ אֶת ־יְהוּדִ֡י בֶּן ־נְ֠תַנְיָ֠הוּ בֶּן ־שֶׁלֶמְיָ֣הוּ בֶן ־כּוּשִׁי֮ לֵאמֹר֒ הַמְּגִלָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר קָרָ֤אתָ בָּהּ֙ בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם קָחֶ֥נָּה בְיָדְךָ֖ וָלֵ֑ךְ וַ֠יִּקַּ֠ח בָּר֨וּךְ בֶּן ־נֵרִיָּ֤הוּ אֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֖א אֲלֵיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἐπιφανοῦμαι ὑμῖν
Miserunt itaque omnes principes ad Baruch Judi filium Nathaniae filii Selemiae filii Chusi , dicentes : Volumen ex quo legisti , audiente populo , sume in manu tua , et veni . Tulit ergo Baruch filius Neriae volumen in manu sua , et venit ad eos :
ወፈነዉ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ ይሁዳሃ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናታንዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሴሌምዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኩሲ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ዘአንበብከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ንሣእ ፡ በእዴከ ፡ ወነዓ ።
Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, “Take in your hand the scroll in which you have read in the ears of the people, and come.” So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand, and came to them.
36:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו שֵׁ֣ב נָ֔א וּקְרָאֶ֖נָּה בְּאׇזְנֵ֑ינוּ וַיִּקְרָ֥א בָר֖וּךְ בְּאׇזְנֵיהֶֽם ׃
ὅτι εἴπατε κατέστησεν ἡμῖν κύριος προφήτας ἐν Βαβυλῶνι
et dixerunt ad eum : Sede , et lege haec in auribus nostris . Et legit Baruch in auribus eorum .
ወይቤልዎ ፡ ንበር ፡ እስኩ ፡ ወአንብብ ፡ በእዘኒነ ።
They said to him, “Sit down now, and read it in our hearing.” So Baruch read it in their hearing.
36:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֗י כְּשׇׁמְעָם֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים פָּחֲד֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל ־רֵעֵ֑הוּ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל ־בָּר֔וּךְ הַגֵּ֤יד נַגִּיד֙ לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֥ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה ׃
— Igitur cum audissent omnia verba , obstupuerunt unusquisque ad proximum suum , et dixerunt ad Baruch : Nuntiare debemus regi omnes sermones istos .
ወኮነ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ሰምዑ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘነገረ ፡ ፈርሁ ፡ ወተማከሩ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ነጊረ ፡ ንነግር ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ።
Now when they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one toward another, and said to Baruch, “We will surely tell the king of all these words.”
36:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶ֨ת ־בָּר֔וּךְ שָׁאֲל֖וּ לֵאמֹ֑ר הַגֶּד ־נָ֣א לָ֔נוּ אֵ֗יךְ כָּתַ֛בְתָּ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה מִפִּֽיו ׃
— Et interrogaverunt eum , dicentes : Indica nobis quomodo scripsisti omnes sermones istos ex ore ejus .
ወተስእልዎ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ንግረነ ፡ እስኩ ፡ እፎኬ ፡ ጸሐፍከ ፡ ዘነገረ ፡ ኵሎ ።
They asked Baruch, saying, “Tell us now, how did you write all these words at his mouth?”
36:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהֶם֙ בָּר֔וּךְ מִפִּיו֙ יִקְרָ֣א אֵלַ֔י אֵ֥ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַאֲנִ֛י כֹּתֵ֥ב עַל ־הַסֵּ֖פֶר בַּדְּיֽוֹ ׃ {ס}
— Dixit autem eis Baruch : Ex ore suo loquebatur quasi legens ad me omnes sermones istos , et ego scribebam in volumine atramento .
ወይቤ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ እምአፉሁ ፡ አይድዐኒ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ወጸሐፍኩ ፡ በመጽሐፍ ።
Then Baruch answered them, “He dictated all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.”
36:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ הַשָּׂרִים֙ אֶל ־בָּר֔וּךְ לֵ֥ךְ הִסָּתֵ֖ר אַתָּ֣ה וְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּ וְאִ֥ישׁ אַל ־יֵדַ֖ע אֵיפֹ֥ה אַתֶּֽם ׃
— Et dixerunt principes ad Baruch : Vade , et abscondere , tu et Jeremias , et nemo sciat ubi sitis .
ወይቤልዎ ፡ መላእክት ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ሑር ፡ ወተኀባእ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወኤርምያስ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ኢይርአይክሙ ፡ አይቴ ፡ አንትሙ ።
Then the princes said to Baruch, “You and Jeremiah go hide. Don’t let anyone know where you are.”
36:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ אֶל ־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ חָצֵ֔רָה וְאֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּ֣ה הִפְקִ֔דוּ בְּלִשְׁכַּ֖ת אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֑ר וַיַּגִּ֙ידוּ֙ בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֖ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִֽים ׃
— Et ingressi sunt ad regem in atrium : porro volumen commendaverunt in gazophylacio Elisamae scribae , et nuntiaverunt , audiente rege , omnes sermones .
ወቦኡ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ዐፀደ ፡ ወመጽሐፈኒ ፡ አዕቀቡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕዋረ ፡ ኤሊሲማ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወነገርዎ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ።
They went in to the king into the court, but they had laid up the scroll in the room of Elishama the scribe. Then they told all the words in the hearing of the king.
36:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶת ־יְהוּדִ֗י לָקַ֙חַת֙ אֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ מִלִּשְׁכַּ֖ת אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֑ר וַיִּקְרָאֶ֤הָ יְהוּדִי֙ בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וּבְאׇזְנֵי֙ כׇּל ־הַשָּׂרִ֔ים הָעֹמְדִ֖ים מֵעַ֥ל הַמֶּֽלֶךְ ׃
οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἐπὶ Αχιαβ καὶ ἐπὶ Σεδεκιαν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ δίδωμι αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος καὶ πατάξει αὐτοὺς κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς ὑμῶν
Misitque rex Judi ut sumeret volumen : qui tollens illud de gazophylacio Elisamae scribae , legit , audiente rege et universis principibus qui stabant circa regem .
ወፈነዎ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ለይሁዳ ፡ ይንሣእ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ እምሕዋረ ፡ ኤሊሲማ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወአንበበ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ እዝነ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክት ፡ እለ ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
So the king sent Jehudi to get the scroll, and he took it out of the room of Elishama the scribe. Jehudi read it in the hearing of the king, and in the hearing of all the princes who stood beside the king.
36:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ יוֹשֵׁב֙ בֵּ֣ית הַחֹ֔רֶף בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁיעִ֑י וְאֶת ־הָאָ֖ח לְפָנָ֥יו מְבֹעָֽרֶת ׃
καὶ λήμψονται ἀπ’ αὐτῶν κατάραν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ἀποικίᾳ Ιουδα ἐν Βαβυλῶνι λέγοντες ποιήσαι σε κύριος ὡς Σεδεκιαν ἐποίησεν καὶ ὡς Αχιαβ οὓς ἀπετηγάνισεν βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος ἐν πυρὶ
Rex autem sedebat in domo hiemali , in mense nono , et posita erat arula coram eo plena prunis .
ወንጉሥ ፡ ይነብር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ምክራም ፡ በታስዕ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ወአፍሐመ ፡ እሳት ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ ይነድድ ።
Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month, and there was a fire in the brazier burning before him.
36:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֣י ׀ כִּקְר֣וֹא יְהוּדִ֗י שָׁלֹ֣שׁ דְּלָתוֹת֮ וְאַרְבָּעָה֒ יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙ בְּתַ֣עַר הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ אֶל ־הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶל ־הָאָ֑ח עַד ־תֹּם֙ כׇּל ־הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה עַל ־הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל ־הָאָֽח ׃
δῑ ἣν ἐποίησαν ἀνομίαν ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐμοιχῶντο τὰς γυναῖκας τῶν πολιτῶν αὐτῶν καὶ λόγον ἐχρημάτισαν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου ὃν οὐ συνέταξα αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐγὼ μάρτυς φησὶν κύριος
Cumque legisset Judi tres pagellas vel quatuor , scidit illud scalpello scribae , et projecit in ignem qui erat super arulam , donec consumeretur omne volumen igni qui erat in arula .
ወኮነ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አንበበ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ሠለስተ ፡ ሰሌዳተ ፡ ወዐርባዕተ ፡ መተሮ ፡ በመጥባሕተ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወወገሮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እሳት ፡ ዘአፍሐም ፡ እስከ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ክርታስ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ዘአፍሐም ።
When Jehudi had read three or four columns, the king cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.
36:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹ֣א פָחֲד֔וּ וְלֹ֥א קָרְע֖וּ אֶת ־בִּגְדֵיהֶ֑ם הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וְכׇל ־עֲבָדָ֔יו הַשֹּׁ֣מְעִ֔ים אֵ֥ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה ׃
καὶ πρὸς Σαμαιαν τὸν Νελαμίτην ἐρεῖς
Et non timuerunt , neque sciderunt vestimenta sua , rex et omnes servi ejus qui audierunt universos sermones istos .
ወኢደንገፁ ፡ ደቁ ፡ ወኢሠጠጡ ፡ አልባሲሆሙ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ አግበርቲሁ ፡ በሰሚዐ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ነገር ።
The king and his servants who heard all these words were not afraid, and didn’t tear their garments.
36:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגַם֩ אֶלְנָתָ֨ן וּדְלָיָ֤הוּ וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙ הִפְגִּ֣עוּ בַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְבִלְתִּ֥י שְׂרֹ֖ף אֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם ׃
οὐκ ἀπέστειλά σε τῷ ὀνόματί μου καὶ πρὸς Σοφονιαν υἱὸν Μαασαιου τὸν ἱερέα εἰπέ
Verumtamen Elnathan , et Dalaias , et Gamarias , contradixerunt regi , ne combureret librum : et non audivit eos .
ወኤልያታንሂ ፡ ወጎዶልያስ ፡ ወገርዩ ፡ ረሰይዎ ፡ ለንጌሥ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያውዒ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ወኢሰምዖሙ ፡ ንጉሥ ።
Moreover Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the scroll; but he would not listen to them.
36:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה הַ֠מֶּ֠לֶךְ אֶת ־יְרַחְמְאֵ֨ל בֶּן ־הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ וְאֶת ־שְׂרָיָ֣הוּ בֶן ־עַזְרִיאֵ֗ל וְאֶת ־שֶׁלֶמְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּֽן ־עַבְדְּאֵ֔ל לָקַ֙חַת֙ אֶת ־בָּר֣וּךְ הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְאֵ֖ת יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֑יא וַיַּסְתִּרֵ֖ם יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
κύριος ἔδωκέν σε εἰς ἱερέα ἀντὶ Ιωδαε τοῦ ἱερέως γενέσθαι ἐπιστάτην ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ προφητεύοντι καὶ παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ μαινομένῳ καὶ δώσεις αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ ἀπόκλεισμα καὶ εἰς τὸν καταρράκτην
Et praecepit rex Jeremiel filio Amelech , et Saraiae filio Ezriel , et Selemiae filio Abdeel , ut comprehenderent Baruch scribam , et Jeremiam prophetam : abscondit autem eos Dominus .
ወአዘዞ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ለአሬምያል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወለሴርያ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አዜርኤል ፡ ወለሴሌምዩ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አብዶኤል ፡ ይንሥእዎ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ጸሐፊ ፡ ወለኤርምያስ ፡ ነቢይ ፡ ወሠወሮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
The king commanded Jerahmeel the king’s son, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet; but Yahweh hid them.
36:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ אַחֲרֵ֣י ׀ שְׂרֹ֣ף הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּה֙ וְאֶת ־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּתַ֥ב בָּר֛וּךְ מִפִּ֥י יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ νῦν διὰ τί συνελοιδορήσατε Ιερεμιαν τὸν ἐξ Αναθωθ τὸν προφητεύσαντα ὑμῖν
Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam prophetam , postquam combusserat rex volumen et sermones quos scripserat Baruch ex ore Jeremiae , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ አውዐየ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ነገር ፡ ዘጸሐፈ ፡ ባሮክ ፡ እምአፈ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after the king had burned the scroll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
36:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ שׁ֥וּב קַח ־לְךָ֖ מְגִלָּ֣ה אַחֶ֑רֶת וּכְתֹ֣ב עָלֶ֗יהָ אֵ֤ת כׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִים֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָי֗וּ עַל ־הַמְּגִלָּה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂרַ֖ף יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָֽה ׃
οὐ διὰ τοῦτο ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς εἰς Βαβυλῶνα λέγων μακράν ἐστιν οἰκοδομήσατε οἰκίας καὶ κατοικήσατε καὶ φυτεύσατε κήπους καὶ φάγεσθε τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῶν
Rursum tolle volumen aliud , et scribe in eo omnes sermones priores qui erant in primo volumine , quod combussit Joakim rex Juda .
ንሣእ ፡ ለከ ፡ ካዕበ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ወጸሐፍ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ዘቀዳሚ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክርታስ ፡ ዘአውዐየ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ኢየአቄም ።
“Take again another scroll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.
36:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַל ־יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים מֶֽלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָה֙ תֹּאמַ֔ר כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה אַ֠תָּ֠ה שָׂרַ֜פְתָּ אֶת ־הַמְּגִלָּ֤ה הַזֹּאת֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר מַדּ֩וּעַ֩ כָּתַ֨בְתָּ עָלֶ֜יהָ לֵאמֹ֗ר בֹּֽא ־יָב֤וֹא מֶֽלֶךְ ־בָּבֶל֙ וְהִשְׁחִית֙ אֶת ־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את וְהִשְׁבִּ֥ית מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֥ם וּבְהֵמָֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀνέγνω Σοφονιας τὸ βιβλίον εἰς τὰ ὦτα Ιερεμιου
Et ad Joakim regem Juda dices : Haec dicit Dominus : Tu combussisti volumen illud , dicens : Quare scripsisti in eo annuntians : Festinus veniet rex Babylonis , et vastabit terram hanc , et cessare faciet ex illa hominem et jumentum ?
ወለኢዮአቄም ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ትብሎ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አንተ ፡ አውዐይከ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትብል ፡ ለምንት ፡ ጸሐፍከ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትብል ፡ በዊአ ፡ ይበውእ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ለሠርዎ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ወየኀልቅ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወእንስሳ ።
Concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, ‘Yahweh says: “You have burned this scroll, saying, ‘Why have you written therein, saying, “The king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and will cause to cease from there man and animal”?’”
36:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֞ן כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה עַל ־יְהֽוֹיָקִים֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה לֹא ־יִֽהְיֶה ־לּ֥וֹ יוֹשֵׁ֖ב עַל ־כִּסֵּ֣א דָוִ֑ד וְנִבְלָתוֹ֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה מֻשְׁלֶ֔כֶת לַחֹ֥רֶב בַּיּ֖וֹם וְלַקֶּ֥רַח בַּלָּֽיְלָה ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν λέγων
Propterea haec dicit Dominus contra Joakim regem Juda : Non erit ex eo qui sedeat super solium David : et cadaver ejus projicietur ad aestum per diem , et ad gelu per noctem .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኢዮአቄም ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኢይከውን ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበረ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ወበድኑ ፡ ይትገደፍ ፡ ለላህበ ፡ መዓልት ፡ ወለቊረ ፡ ሌሊት ።
Therefore Yahweh says concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: “He will have no one to sit on David’s throne. His dead body will be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
36:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י עָלָ֧יו וְעַל ־זַרְע֛וֹ וְעַל ־עֲבָדָ֖יו אֶת ־עֲוֺנָ֑ם וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י עֲ֠לֵיהֶ֠ם וְעַל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֨י יְרוּשָׁלַ֜͏ִם וְאֶל ־אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֗ה אֵ֧ת כׇּל ־הָרָעָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר ־דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמֵֽעוּ ׃
ἀπόστειλον πρὸς τὴν ἀποικίαν λέγων οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἐπὶ Σαμαιαν τὸν Νελαμίτην ἐπειδὴ ἐπροφήτευσεν ὑμῖν Σαμαιας καὶ ἐγὼ οὐκ ἀπέστειλα αὐτόν καὶ πεποιθέναι ἐποίησεν ὑμᾶς ἐπ’ ἀδίκοις
Et visitabo contra eum , et contra semen ejus , et contra servos ejus , iniquitates suas : et adducam super eos , et super habitatores Jerusalem , et super viros Juda , omne malum quod locutus sum ad eos , et non audierunt .
ወእሔውጽ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ዘርኡ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ አግብርቲሁ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ወአመጽእ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወሰብአ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘነበብኩ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ወኢሰምዑ ።
I will punish him, his offspring, and his servants for their iniquity. I will bring on them, on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they didn’t listen.”’”
36:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיִרְמְיָ֜הוּ לָקַ֣ח ׀ מְגִלָּ֣ה אַחֶ֗רֶת וַֽיִּתְּנָהּ֮ אֶל ־בָּר֣וּךְ בֶּן ־נֵרִיָּ֘הוּ֮ הַסֹּפֵר֒ וַיִּכְתֹּ֤ב עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ מִפִּ֣י יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֵ֚ת כׇּל ־דִּבְרֵ֣י הַסֵּ֔פֶר אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׂרַ֛ף יְהוֹיָקִ֥ים מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָ֖ה בָּאֵ֑שׁ וְע֨וֹד נוֹסַ֧ף עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם דְּבָרִ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים כָּהֵֽמָּה ׃ {פ}
διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπισκέψομαι ἐπὶ Σαμαιαν καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ γένος αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔσται αὐτῶν ἄνθρωπος ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν τοῦ ἰδεῖν τὰ ἀγαθά ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω ὑμῖν οὐκ ὄψονται
Jeremias autem tulit volumen aliud , et dedit illud Baruch filio Neriae scribae : qui scripsit in eo ex ore Jeremiae omnes sermones libri quem combusserat Joakim rex Juda igni : et insuper additi sunt sermones multo plures quam antea fuerant .
ወተመጠወ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ካልአ ፡ ክርታሰ ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ ለባሮክ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኔርዩ ።
Then Jeremiah took another scroll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire; and many similar words were added to them.
