6:1
לְכוּ֙ וְנָשׁ֣וּבָה אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּ֛י ה֥וּא טָרָ֖ף וְיִרְפָּאֵ֑נוּ יַ֖ךְ וְיַחְבְּשֵֽׁנוּ׃
πορευθῶμεν καὶ ἐπιστρέψωμεν πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ἡμῶν ὅτι αὐτὸς ἥρπακεν καὶ ἰάσεται ἡμᾶς πατάξει καὶ μοτώσει ἡμᾶς
In tribulatione sua mane consurgent ad me : Venite, et revertamur ad Dominum,
ወይገይሡ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ወይብሉ፡ ንዑ፡ ንሑር፡ ወንትመየጥ፡ ኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላክነ።
“Come! Let’s return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds.
6:2
יְחַיֵּ֖נוּ מִיֹּמָ֑יִם בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י יְקִמֵ֖נוּ וְנִחְיֶ֥ה לְפָנָֽיו׃
ὑγιάσει ἡμᾶς μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ ἀναστησόμεθα καὶ ζησόμεθα ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ
quia ipse cepit, et sanabit nos ; percutiet, et curabit nos.
እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ቀሠፈነ፡ ወይፌውሰነ፡ ወውእቱ፡ አቊሰለነ፡ ወይሤርየነ።
After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him.
6:3
וְנֵדְעָ֣ה נִרְדְּפָ֗ה לָדַ֙עַת֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה כְּשַׁ֖חַר נָכ֣וֹן מֹצָא֑וֹ וְיָב֤וֹא כַגֶּ֙שֶׁם֙ לָ֔נוּ כְּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ י֥וֹרֶה אָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ γνωσόμεθα διώξομεν τοῦ γνῶναι τὸν κύριον ὡς ὄρθρον ἕτοιμον εὑρήσομεν αὐτόν καὶ ἥξει ὡς ὑετὸς ἡμῖν πρόιμος καὶ ὄψιμος τῇ γῇ
Vivificabit nos post duos dies ; in die tertia suscitabit nos, et vivemus in conspectu ejus. Sciemus, sequemurque ut cognoscamus Dominum : quasi diluculum praeparatus est egressus ejus, et veniet quasi imber nobis temporaneus et serotinus terrae.
ወያሐይወነ፡ በሰኑይ፡ መዋዕል፡ ወአመ፡ ሣልስት፡ ዕለት፡ ንትነሣእ፡ ወነሐዩ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ ናእምር። ወንዴግን፡ ከመ፡ ናእምሮ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ጎህ፡ ድልወ፡ ንረክቦ፡ ወይመጽእ፡ ከመ፡ ዝናመ፡ ክረምት፡ ዘቀዳሚ፡ ወዘደኃሪ፡ ላዕለ፡ ምድር።
Let’s acknowledge Yahweh. Let’s press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.”
6:4
מָ֤ה אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־לְּךָ֙ אֶפְרַ֔יִם מָ֥ה אֶעֱשֶׂה־לְּךָ֖ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְחַסְדְּכֶם֙ כַּעֲנַן־בֹּ֔קֶר וְכַטַּ֖ל מַשְׁכִּ֥ים הֹלֵֽךְ׃
τί σοι ποιήσω Εφραιμ τί σοι ποιήσω Ιουδα τὸ δὲ ἔλεος ὑμῶν ὡς νεφέλη πρωινὴ καὶ ὡς δρόσος ὀρθρινὴ πορευομένη
Quid faciam tibi, Ephraim ? quid faciam tibi, Juda ? misericordia vestra quasi nubes matutina, et quasi ros mane pertransiens.
ምንተ፡ እግበር፡ ለከ፡ ኤፍሬም፡ ወምንተ፡ እግበር፡ ለከ፡ ቤተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ናሁ፡ ሣህልክሙሰ፡ ከመ፡ ደመና፡ ነግሀ፡ ወከመ፡ ጠለ፡ ጽባሕ፡ እንተ፡ ተሐውር፡ ፍጡነ።
“Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah, what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early.
6:5
עַל־כֵּ֗ן חָצַ֙בְתִּי֙ בַּנְּבִיאִ֔ים הֲרַגְתִּ֖ים בְּאִמְרֵי־פִ֑י וּמִשְׁפָּטֶ֖יךָ א֥וֹר יֵצֵֽא׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἀπεθέρισα τοὺς προφήτας ὑμῶν ἀπέκτεινα αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥήμασιν στόματός μου καὶ τὸ κρίμα μου ὡς φῶς ἐξελεύσεται
Propter hoc dolavi in prophetis ; occidi eos in verbis oris mei : et judicia tua quasi lux egredientur.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ዐጸድክዎሙ፡ ለነቢያቲክሙ፡ ወቀተልክዎሙ፡ በቃለ፡ አፉየ፡ ወይወፅእ፡ ፍትሕየ፡ ከመ፡ ብርሃን።
Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning.
6:6
כִּ֛י חֶ֥סֶד חָפַ֖צְתִּי וְלֹא־זָ֑בַח וְדַ֥עַת אֱלֹהִ֖ים מֵעֹלֽוֹת׃
διότι ἔλεος θέλω καὶ οὐ θυσίαν καὶ ἐπίγνωσιν θεοῦ ἢ ὁλοκαυτώματα
Quia misericordiam volui, et non sacrificium ; et scientiam Dei plus quam holocausta.
እስመ፡ ምጽዋተ፡ አበድር፡ እምነ፡ መሥዋዕት፡ ወአእምሮ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እምቊርባን።
For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
6:7
וְהֵ֕מָּה כְּאָדָ֖ם עָבְר֣וּ בְרִ֑ית שָׁ֖ם בָּ֥גְדוּ בִֽי׃
αὐτοὶ δέ εἰσιν ὡς ἄνθρωπος παραβαίνων διαθήκην ἐκεῖ κατεφρόνησέν μου
Ipsi autem sicut Adam transgressi sunt pactum : ibi praevaricati sunt in me.
ወእሙንቱሰ፡ ኮኑ፡ ከመ፡ ብእሲ፡ ዘየዐሉ፡ መሐላሁ፡ ወበህየ፡ ክሕዱኒ።
But they, like Adam, have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to me there.
6:8
גִּלְעָ֕ד קִרְיַ֖ת פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן עֲקֻבָּ֖ה מִדָּֽם׃
Γαλααδ πόλις ἐργαζομένη μάταια ταράσσουσα ὕδωρ
Galaad civitas operantium idolum, supplantata sanguine.
ገለአድ፡ ሀገር፡ እንተ፡ ትትጌበር፡ ከንቶ፡ ወትትሐመግ፡ በደም፡ ወኀይላኒ፡ ከመ፡ ብእሲ፡ ግዱድ።
Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood.
6:9
וּכְחַכֵּ֨י אִ֜ישׁ גְּדוּדִ֗ים חֶ֚בֶר כֹּהֲנִ֔ים דֶּ֖רֶךְ יְרַצְּחוּ־שֶׁ֑כְמָה כִּ֥י זִמָּ֖ה עָשֽׂוּ׃
καὶ ἡ ἰσχύς σου ἀνδρὸς πειρατοῦ ἔκρυψαν ἱερεῖς ὁδὸν κυρίου ἐφόνευσαν Σικιμα ὅτι ἀνομίαν ἐποίησαν
Et quasi fauces virorum latronum, particeps sacerdotum, in via interficientium pergentes de Sichem : quia scelus operati sunt.
ካህናትሰ፡ ኅሉፋነ፡ ፍኖት፡ ከበቱ፡ ፍኖተ፡ እግዚኦሙ፡ አመ፡ ቀተልዋ፡ ለሰቂማ፡ እስመ፡ ዐመፃ፡ ገብሩ፡ በቤተ፡ እስራኤል።
As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man, so the company of priests murder on the path toward Shechem, committing shameful crimes.
6:10
בְּבֵית֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רָאִ֖יתִי (שעריריה) [שַׁעֲרֽוּרִיָּ֑ה] שָׁ֚ם זְנ֣וּת לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם נִטְמָ֖א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ εἶδον φρικώδη ἐκεῖ πορνείαν τοῦ Εφραιμ ἐμιάνθη Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα
In domo Israël vidi horrendum : ibi fornicationes Ephraim, contaminatus est Israël.
ወርኢኩ፡ በህየ፡ ዝሙተ፡ ኤፍሬም፡ ግሩመ፡ ወርኵሰ፡ እስራኤል።
In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. There is prostitution in Ephraim. Israel is defiled.
6:11
גַּם־יְהוּדָ֕ה שָׁ֥ת קָצִ֖יר לָ֑ךְ בְּשׁוּבִ֖י שְׁב֥וּת עַמִּֽי׃ {פ}
ἄρχου τρυγᾶν σεαυτῷ ἐν τῷ ἐπιστρέφειν με τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν τοῦ λαοῦ μου
Sed et Juda, pone messem tibi, cum convertero captivitatem populi mei.
ወይሁዳኒ፡ አኀዘ፡ መቅሥሞ፡ ለከ፡ አመ፡ መጠውኩከ፡ ፄዋ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ እስራኤል።
“Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.
