9:1
Ὁ δὲ Σαῦλος, ἔτι ἐμπνέων ἀπειλῆς καὶ φόνου εἰς τοὺς μαθητὰς τοῦ κυρίου, προσελθὼν τῷ ἀρχιερεῖ
Saulus autem adhuc spirans minarum et caedis in discipulos Domini, accessit ad principem sacerdotum,
ወሳውልሰ ዓዲሁ ይትቄየም አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ወይቀትሎሙ ለአርዳአ እግዚእነ ወሖረ ኀበ ሊቀ ካህናት።
But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
9:2
ᾐτήσατο παρ’ αὐτοῦ ἐπιστολὰς εἰς Δαμασκὸν πρὸς τὰς συναγωγάς, ὅπως ἄν τινας εὕρῃ ὄντας τῆς ὁδοῦ, ἄνδρας τε καὶ γυναῖκας, δεδεμένους ἀγάγῃ εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ.
et petiit ab eo epistolas in Damascum ad synagogas : ut si quos invenisset hujus viae viros ac mulieres, vinctos perduceret in Jerusalem.
ወሰአለ በኀቤሁ መጽሐፈ መባሕት ለሀገረ ደማስቆ ወለመኳርብት ለእመቦ ዘይረክብ በፍኖት ዕደወ ወአንስተ ከመ ያእትዎሙ ኢየሩሳሌም ሙቁሓኒሆሙ።
and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
9:3
ἐν δὲ τῷ πορεύεσθαι ἐγένετο αὐτὸν ἐγγίζειν τῇ Δαμασκῷ, ἐξαίφνης τε αὐτὸν περιήστραψεν φῶς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ,
Et cum iter faceret, contigit ut appropinquaret Damasco : et subito circumfulsit eum lux de caelo.
ወእንዘ የሐውር ሶበ አልጸቀ ለሀገረ ደማስቆ ግብተ በረቀ መብረቅ እምሰማይ ላዕሌሁ።
As he traveled, he got close to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him.
9:4
καὶ πεσὼν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἤκουσεν φωνὴν λέγουσαν αὐτῷ, Σαοὺλ Σαούλ, τί με διώκεις;
Et cadens in terram audivit vocem dicentem sibi : Saule, Saule, quid me persequeris ?
ወወድቀ ውስተ ምድር ወሰምዐ ቃለ ዘይቤሎ ሳውል ሳውል ለምንት ትሰድደኒ።
He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
9:5
εἶπεν δέ· τίς εἶ, κύριε; ὁ δέ· ἐγώ εἰμι Ἰησοῦς ὃν σὺ διώκεις·
Qui dixit : Quis es, domine ? Et ille : Ego sum Jesus, quem tu persequeris : durum est tibi contra stimulum calcitrare.
ወይቤሎ መኑ አንተ እግዚኦ ወይቤሎ አነ ውእቱ ኢየሱስ ናዝራዊ ዘአንተ ትሰድደኒ ይብእሰከ ረጊጽ ውስተ ቀኖት በሊኅ።
He said, “Who are you, Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
9:6
ἀλλὰ ἀνάστηθι καὶ εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ λαληθήσεταί σοι ὅ τί σε δεῖ ποιεῖν.
Et tremens ac stupens dixit : Domine, quid me vis facere ?
ወእንዘ ይርዕድ ይቤሎ እግዚኦ ምንተኑ ትፈቅድ እግበር አነ ወይቤሎ እግዚእ ተንሥእ ወባእ ሀገረ ወበህየ ይነግሩከ ዘይደልወከ ትግበር።
But rise up and enter into the city, then you will be told what you must do.”
9:7
οἱ δὲ ἄνδρες οἱ συνοδεύοντες αὐτῷ εἱστήκεισαν ἐνεοί, ἀκούοντες μὲν τῆς φωνῆς μηδένα δὲ θεωροῦντες.
Et Dominus ad eum : Surge, et ingredere civitatem, et ibi dicetur tibi quid te oporteat facere. Viri autem illi qui comitabantur cum eo, stabant stupefacti, audientes quidem vocem, neminem autem videntes.
ወሰብእሰ እለ ምስሌሁ ቆሙ ያጸምዑ ነገሮ ወአልቦ ዘይሬእዩ።
The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the sound, but seeing no one.
9:8
ἠγέρθη δὲ Σαῦλος ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, ἠνοιγμένων δὲ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτοῦ οὐδὲν ἔβλεπεν· χειραγωγοῦντες δὲ αὐτὸν εἰσήγαγον εἰς Δαμασκόν.
Surrexit autem Saulus de terra, apertisque oculis nihil videbat. Ad manus autem illum trahentes, introduxerunt Damascum.
ወተንሥአ ሳውል እምድር ወእንዘ ክሡታት አዕይንቲሁ አልቦ ዘይሬኢ ወእንዘ ይመርሕዎ አብእዎ ደማስቆ።
Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one. They led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
9:9
καὶ ἦν ἡμέρας τρεῖς μὴ βλέπων, καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγεν οὐδὲ ἔπιεν.
Et erat ibi tribus diebus non videns, et non manducavit, neque bibit.
ወነበረ ህየ ሠሉሰ ዕለተ እንዘ ኢይሬኢ ወኢይበልዕ ወኢይሰቲ።
He was without sight for three days, and neither ate nor drank.
9:10
Ἦν δέ τις μαθητὴς ἐν Δαμασκῷ ὀνόματι Ἀνανίας, καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἐν ὁράματι ὁ κύριος· Ἀνανία. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, ἰδοὺ ἐγώ, κύριε.
Erat autem quidam discipulus Damasci, nomine Ananias : et dixit ad illum in visu Dominus : Anania. At ille ait : Ecce ego, Domine.
ወሀሎ አሐዱ ብእሲ በሀገረ ደማስቆ ዘእምውስተ አርድእት ዘስሙ ሐናንያ ወአስተርአዮ እግዚእነ በራእይ ወይቤሎ ሐናንያ ወይቤ ነየ እግዚኦ።
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias!” He said, “Behold, it’s me, Lord.”
9:11
ὁ δὲ κύριος πρὸς αὐτόν, ἀναστὰς πορεύθητι ἐπὶ τὴν ῥύμην τὴν καλουμένην εὐθεῖαν καὶ ζήτησον ἐν οἰκίᾳ Ἰούδα Σαῦλον ὀνόματι Ταρσέα· ἰδοὺ γὰρ προσεύχεται,
Et Dominus ad eum : Surge, et vade in vicum qui vocatur Rectus : et quaere in domo Judae Saulum nomine Tarsensem : ecce enim orat.
ወይቤሎ እግዚእነ ተንሥእ ወሑር ሰኰተ እንተ ይብልዋ ርትዕት ወኅሥሥ በቤተ ይሁዳ ዘስሙ ሳውል ዘሀገረ ጠርሴስ እስመ ውእቱ ናሁ ይጼሊ።
The Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,
9:12
καὶ εἶδεν ἄνδρα Ἀνανίαν ὀνόματι εἰσελθόντα καὶ ἐπιθέντα αὐτῷ χεῖρας, ὅπως ἀναβλέψῃ.
(Et vidit virum Ananiam nomine, introëuntem, et imponentem sibi manus ut visum recipiat.)
ወእንዘ ይጼሊ ሳውል አስተርአዮ ብእሲ በአምሳለ ሐናንያ ቦአ ኀቤሁ ወወደየ እዴሁ ዲቤሁ ከመ ይርአይ።
and in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight.”
9:13
ἀπεκρίθη δὲ Ἀνανίας· κύριε, ἤκουσα ἀπὸ πολλῶν περὶ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς τούτου, ὅσα κακὰ τοῖς ἁγίοις σου ἐποίησεν ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ·
Respondit autem Ananias : Domine, audivi a multis de viro hoc, quanta mala fecerit sanctis tuis in Jerusalem :
ወአውሥአ ሐናንያ ወይቤ እግዚኦ ሰማዕኩ በእንተ ውእቱ ብእሲ በኀበ ብዙኃን ኵሎ ዘይገብር እኩየ ዲበ ቅዱሳኒከ በኢየሩሳሌም።
But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.
9:14
καὶ ὧδε ἔχει ἐξουσίαν παρὰ τῶν ἀρχιερέων δῆσαι πάντας τοὺς ἐπικαλουμένους τὸ ὄνομά σου.
et hic habet potestatem a principibus sacerdotum alligandi omnes qui invocant nomen tuum.
ወበዝየኒ አስተበዊሖ በኀበ ሊቀ ካህናት መጽአ ከመ ይሞቅሖሙ ለኵሎሙ እለ ይጼውዑ ስመከ።
Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”
9:15
εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος, πορεύου, ὅτι σκεῦος ἐκλογῆς ἐστίν μοι οὗτος τοῦ βαστάσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐνώπιον ἐθνῶν τε καὶ βασιλέων υἱῶν τε Ἰσραήλ·
Dixit autem ad eum Dominus : Vade, quoniam vas electionis est mihi iste, ut portet nomen meum coram gentibus, et regibus, et filiis Israël.
ወይቤሎ እግዚእነ ተንሥእ ወሑር እስመ ንዋየ ኅሩየ ረሰይክዎ ሊተ ከመ ይጹር ስምየ በቅድመ አሕዛብ ወነገሥት ወደቂቀ እስራኤል።
But the Lord said to him, “Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.
9:16
ἐγὼ γὰρ ὑποδείξω αὐτῷ ὅσα δεῖ αὐτὸν ὑπὲρ τοῦ ὀνόματός μου παθεῖν.
Ego enim ostendam illi quanta oporteat eum pro nomine meo pati.
ወአነ አርእዮ መጠነ ሀለዎ ይሕምም በእንተ ስምየ።
For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
9:17
Ἀπῆλθεν δὲ Ἀνανίας καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν, καὶ ἐπιθεὶς ἐπ’ αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας εἶπεν· Σαοὺλ ἀδελφέ, ὁ κύριος ἀπέσταλκέν με, Ἰησοῦς ὁ ὀφθείς σοι ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ᾗ ἤρχου, ὅπως ἀναβλέψῃς καὶ πλησθῇς πνεύματος ἁγίου.
Et abiit Ananias, et introivit in domum : et imponens ei manus, dixit : Saule frater, Dominus misit me Jesus, qui apparuit tibi in via qua veniebas, ut videas, et implearis Spiritu Sancto.
ወሶቤሃ ሖረ ሐናንያ ወቦአ ቤቶ ወወደየ እዴሁ ዲቤሁ ወይቤሎ ሳውል እኁየ ፈነወኒ ኀቤከ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘአስተርአየከ በፍኖት እንዘ ትመጽእ ከመ ትርአይ ወይምላእ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ላዕሌከ።
Ananias departed and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
9:18
καὶ εὐθέως ἀπέπεσαν αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν ὡς λεπίδες, ἀνέβλεψέν τε, καὶ ἀναστὰς ἐβαπτίσθη,
Et confestim ceciderunt ab oculis ejus tamquam squamae, et visum recepit : et surgens baptizatus est.
ወሶቤሃ ተሥዕዐ እምአዕይንቲሁ ከመ ዘሣሬት ወተከሥታ አዕይንቲሁ ወርእየ ሶቤሃ ወተንሥአ ወተጠምቀ።
Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.
9:19
καὶ λαβὼν τροφὴν ἐνίσχυσεν. Ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ τῶν ἐν Δαμασκῷ μαθητῶν ἡμέρας τινάς,
Et cum accepisset cibum, confortatus est. Fuit autem cum discipulis qui erant Damasci per dies aliquot.
ወበልዐ እክለ ወጸንዐ ወነበረ ደማስቆ ኅዳጠ መዋዕለ ምስለ አርድእት።
He took food and was strengthened. Saul stayed several days with the disciples who were at Damascus.
9:20
καὶ εὐθέως ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς ἐκήρυσσεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ.
Et continuo in synagogis praedicabat Jesum, quoniam hic est Filius Dei.
ወሰበከ በጊዜሃ በምኵራባት ወመሀረ በእንተ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እንዘ ይብል ውእቱ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር።
Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that he is the Son of God.
9:21
ἐξίσταντο δὲ πάντες οἱ ἀκούοντες καὶ ἔλεγον, οὐχ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ πορθήσας εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ τοὺς ἐπικαλουμένους τὸ ὄνομα τοῦτο, καὶ ὧδε εἰς τοῦτο ἐληλύθει ἵνα δεδεμένους αὐτοὺς ἀγάγῃ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς;
Stupebant autem omnes qui audiebant, et dicebant : Nonne hic est qui expugnabat in Jerusalem eos qui invocabant nomen istud : et huc ad hoc venit, ut vinctos illos duceret ad principes sacerdotum ?
ወአንከሩ ኵሎሙ እለ ሰምዑ ወይቤሉ አኮኑ ዝንቱ ዘኮነ ይሰድዶሙ ለእለ ይጼውዑ ዘንተ ስመ በኢየሩሳሌም ወዝየኒ በእንተዝ መጽአ ከመ ይሞቅሖሙ ወይሰዶሙ ኀበ ሊቃነ ካህናት።
All who heard him were amazed, and said, “Isn’t this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!”
9:22
Σαῦλος δὲ μᾶλλον ἐνεδυναμοῦτο καὶ συνέχυννεν Ἰουδαίους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Δαμασκῷ, συμβιβάζων ὅτι οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Χριστός.
Saulus autem multo magis convalescebat, et confundebat Judaeos qui habitabant Damasci, affirmans quoniam hic est Christus.
ወሳውልሰ ፈድፋደ ይጸንዖሙ ወይመውኦሙ ለአይሁድ እለ ይነብሩ ደማስቆ ወያበጽሕ ሎሙ ከመ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ።
But Saul increased more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
9:23
Ὡς δὲ ἐπληροῦντο ἡμέραι ἱκαναί, συνεβουλεύσαντο οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἀνελεῖν αὐτόν·
Cum autem implerentur dies multi, consilium fecerunt in unum Judaei ut eum interficerent.
ወእምድኅረ ብዙኅ መዋዕል ተማከሩ አይሁድ ይቅትልዎ ለሳውል።
When many days were fulfilled, the Jews conspired together to kill him,
9:24
ἐγνώσθη δὲ τῷ Σαύλῳ ἡ ἐπιβουλὴ αὐτῶν. παρετηροῦντο δὲ καὶ τὰς πύλας ἡμέρας τε καὶ νυκτὸς ὅπως αὐτὸν ἀνέλωσιν·
Notae autem factae sunt Saulo insidiae eorum. Custodiebant autem et portas die ac nocte, ut eum interficerent.
ወአእመሮሙ ሳውል ምክሮሙ ዘይፈቅዱ ይግበሩ ላዕሌሁ ወየዐቅቡ አናቅጸ ሀገር መዓልተ ወሌሊተ ከመ ይቅትልዎ።
but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him,
9:25
λαβόντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ νυκτὸς διὰ τοῦ τείχους καθῆκαν αὐτὸν χαλάσαντες ἐν σπυρίδι.
Accipientes autem eum discipuli nocte, per murum dimiserunt eum, submittentes in sporta.
ወነሥእዎ አርድእት ሌሊተ ወአውረድዎ በአስፈሬድ እንተ ተድባበ ቅጽር።
but his disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
9:26
Παραγενόμενος δὲ εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐπείραζεν κολλᾶσθαι τοῖς μαθηταῖς· καὶ πάντες ἐφοβοῦντο αὐτόν, μὴ πιστεύοντες ὅτι ἐστὶν μαθητής.
Cum autem venisset in Jerusalem, tentabat se jungere discipulis, et omnes timebant eum, non credentes quod esset discipulus.
ወበጺሖ ሳውል ኢየሩሳሌም ኀሠሦሙ ለአርድእት ይትራከቦሙ ወፈርህዎ ኵሎሙ ወኢአምንዎ ከመ ኮነ ረድኦ ለእግዚእነ።
When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
9:27
Βαρναβᾶς δὲ ἐπιλαβόμενος αὐτὸν ἤγαγεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀποστόλους, καὶ διηγήσατο αὐτοῖς πῶς ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ εἶδεν τὸν κύριον καὶ ὅτι ἐλάλησεν αὐτῷ, καὶ πῶς ἐν Δαμασκῷ ἐπαρρησιάσατο ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ.
Barnabas autem apprehensum illum duxit ad Apostolos : et narravit illis quomodo in via vidisset Dominum, et quia locutus est ei, et quomodo in Damasco fiducialiter egerit in nomine Jesu.
ወነሥኦ በርናባስ ወወሰዶ ኀበ ሐዋርያት ወነገሮሙ ዘከመ አስተርአዮ እግዚእነ በፍኖት ወዘከመ ተናገሮ ወዘከመ መሀረ በስሙ ለኢየሱስ በደማስቆ።
But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.
9:28
καὶ ἦν μετ’ αὐτῶν εἰσπορευόμενος καὶ ἐκπορευόμενος εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ, παρρησιαζόμενος ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου,
Et erat cum illis intrans et exiens in Jerusalem, et fiducialiter agens in nomine Domini.
ወነበረ ይበውእ ወይወፅእ ምስሌሆሙ በኢየሩሳሌም ወይሜህር ክሡተ በስሙ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ።
He was with them entering into Jerusalem,
9:29
ἐλάλει τε καὶ συνεζήτει πρὸς τοὺς Ἑλληνιστάς· οἱ δὲ ἐπεχείρουν ἀνελεῖν αὐτόν.
Loquebatur quoque gentibus, et disputabat cum Graecis : illi autem quaerebant occidere eum.
ወይትዋቀሦሙ ለአረሚ ወፈቀዱ ካዕበ እሙንቱ ይቅትልዎ።
preaching boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. He spoke and disputed against the Hellenists, but they were seeking to kill him.
9:30
ἐπιγνόντες δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ κατήγαγον αὐτὸν εἰς Καισάριαν καὶ ἐξαπέστειλαν αὐτὸν εἰς Ταρσόν.
Quod cum cognovissent fratres, deduxerunt eum Caesaream, et dimiserunt Tarsum.
ወአእሚሮሙ ቢጹ አውረድዎ ቂሳርያ ወእምዝ ፈነውዎ ጠርሴስ።
When the brothers knew it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.
9:31
Ἡ μὲν οὖν ἐκκλησία καθ’ ὅλης τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ Γαλιλαίας καὶ Σαμαρίας εἶχεν εἰρήνην, οἰκοδομουμένη καὶ πορευομένη τῷ φόβῳ τοῦ κυρίου, καὶ τῇ παρακλήσει τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος ἐπληθύνετο.
Ecclesia quidem per totam Judaeam, et Galilaeam, et Samariam habebat pacem, et aedificabatur ambulans in timore Domini, et consolatione Sancti Spiritus replebatur.
ወነበራ ኵሎን አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ዘይሁዳ ወሰማርያ ወገሊላ በሰላም ወተሐንጻ ወሖራ በፍርሃተ እግዚአብሔር ወበዝኁ ሕዝብ በትምህርተ መንፈስ ቅዱስ።
So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
9:32
ἐγένετο δὲ Πέτρον διερχόμενον διὰ πάντων κατελθεῖν καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ἁγίους τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Λύδδα.
Factum est autem, ut Petrus dum pertransiret universos, deveniret ad sanctos qui habitabant Lyddae.
ወእምዝ አንሶሰወ ጴጥሮስ በኀበ ኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን እለ ይነብሩ ልዳ።
As Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.
9:33
εὗρεν δὲ ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπόν τινα ὀνόματι Αἰνέαν ἐξ ἐτῶν ὀκτὼ κατακείμενον ἐπὶ κραβάττου, ὃς ἦν παραλελυμένος.
Invenit autem ibi hominem quemdam, nomine Aeneam, ab annis octo jacentem in grabato, qui erat paralyticus.
ወረከበ በህየ ብእሴ ዘስሙ ኤንያ ወሰመንቱ ዓመቱ ሎቱ እምዘ ደወየ ወሰከበ ውስተ ዐራት እስመ ውእቱ መፃጕዕ።
There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years because he was paralyzed.
9:34
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Πέτρος, Αἰνέα, ἰᾶταί σε Ἰησοῦς Χριστός· ἀνάστηθι καὶ στρῶσον σεαυτῷ. καὶ εὐθέως ἀνέστη.
Et ait illi Petrus : Aenea, sanat te Dominus Jesus Christus : surge, et sterne tibi. Et continuo surrexit.
ወይቤሎ ጴጥሮስ ኤንያ ተሣሀለከ ያሕዩከ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ተንሥእ ወንሣእ ዐራተከ ወተንሥአ ሶቤሃ ወነሥአ ዐራቶ።
Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!” Immediately he arose.
9:35
καὶ εἶδαν αὐτὸν πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες Λύδδα καὶ τὸν Σαρῶνα, οἵτινες ἐπέστρεψαν ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον.
Et viderunt eum omnes qui habitabant Lyddae et Saronae : qui conversi sunt ad Dominum.
ወርእይዎ ኵሎሙ እለ ይነብሩ ልዳ ወሳሮና ወተመይጡ ኀበ እግዚእነ።
All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
9:36
Ἐν Ἰόππῃ δέ τις ἦν μαθήτρια ὀνόματι Ταβιθά, ἣ διερμηνευομένη λέγεται Δορκάς· αὕτη ἦν πλήρης ἀγαθῶν ἔργων καὶ ἐλεημοσυνῶν ὧν ἐποίει.
In Joppe autem fuit quaedam discipula, nomine Tabitha, quae interpretata dicitur Dorcas. Haec erat plena operibus bonis et eleemosynis quas faciebat.
ወበሀገረ ኢዮጴ ሀለወት አሐቲ ረድእት እንተ ስማ ጣቢታ ዘበትርጓሜሁ ይብልዋ ዶርቃስ ወይጠል ብሂል ወብዙኀ ምግባረ ሠናየ ትገብር ወትሁብ ምጽዋተ።
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.
9:37
ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἀσθενήσασαν αὐτὴν ἀποθανεῖν· λούσαντες δὲ ἔθηκαν αὐτὴν ἐν ὑπερῴῳ.
Factum est autem in diebus illis ut infirmata moreretur. Quam cum lavissent, posuerunt eam in coenaculo.
ወውእተ አሚረ ሞተት ደዊያ ወኀፀብዋ በድና ወአስከብዋ ውስተ ጽርሕ።
In those days, she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
9:38
ἐγγὺς δὲ οὔσης Λύδδας τῇ Ἰόππῃ οἱ μαθηταὶ ἀκούσαντες ὅτι Πέτρος ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἀπέστειλαν δύο ἄνδρας πρὸς αὐτὸν παρακαλοῦντες, μὴ ὀκνήσῃς διελθεῖν ἕως ἡμῶν.
Cum autem prope esset Lydda ad Joppen, discipuli, audientes quia Petrus esset in ea, miserunt duos viros ad eum, rogantes : Ne pigriteris venire ad nos.
ወቅሩብ ሀገረ ልዳ ለኢዮጴ ወሰሚዖሙ አርድእት ከመ ሀሎ ጴጥሮስ ህየ ለአኩ ኀቤሁ ክልኤተ ዕደወ ያስተብቍዕዎ ኢይትሀከይ በጺሖቶሙ።
As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.
9:39
ἀναστὰς δὲ Πέτρος συνῆλθεν αὐτοῖς· ὃν παραγενόμενον ἀνήγαγον εἰς τὸ ὑπερῷον, καὶ παρέστησαν αὐτῷ πᾶσαι αἱ χῆραι κλαίουσαι καὶ ἐπιδεικνύμεναι χιτῶνας καὶ ἱμάτια ὅσα ἐποίει μετ’ αὐτῶν οὖσα ἡ Δορκάς.
Exsurgens autem Petrus, venit cum illis. Et cum advenisset, duxerunt illum in coenaculum : et circumsteterunt illum omnes viduae flentes, et ostendentes ei tunicas et vestes quas faciebat illis Dorcas.
ወተንሥአ ጴጥሮስ ወሖረ ምስሌሆሙ ወበጺሖ አዕረግዎ ጽርሐ ወመጽኣ ኀቤሁ ኵሎን ዕቤራት ወቆማ ቅድሜሁ ወአኀዛ ይብክያሃ ወአርአያሁ አልባሰ ወክዳናተ ዘአረዘቶን ዶርቃስ እንዘ ሀለወት ውስተ ሕይወት።
Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the tunics and other garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
9:40
ἐκβαλὼν δὲ ἔξω πάντας ὁ Πέτρος καὶ θεὶς τὰ γόνατα προσηύξατο, καὶ ἐπιστρέψας πρὸς τὸ σῶμα εἶπεν, Ταβιθά, ἀνάστηθι. ἡ δὲ ἤνοιξεν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὸν Πέτρον ἀνεκάθισεν.
Ejectis autem omnibus foras, Petrus ponens genua oravit : et conversus ad corpus, dixit : Tabitha, surge. At illa aperuit oculos suos : et viso Petro, resedit.
ወሰደደ ጴጥሮስ ኵሎ ወሰገደ ወጸለየ ወተመይጠ መንገለ በድና ወይቤላ ጣቢታ ተንሥኢ ወከሠተት አዕይንቲሃ ወሶቤሃ ርእየቶ ለጴጥሮስ ወነበረት።
Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
9:41
δοὺς δὲ αὐτῇ χεῖρα ἀνέστησεν αὐτήν, φωνήσας δὲ τοὺς ἁγίους καὶ τὰς χήρας παρέστησεν αὐτὴν ζῶσαν.
Dans autem illi manum, erexit eam. Et cum vocasset sanctos et viduas, assignavit eam vivam.
ወመጠዋ እዴሁ ወአንሥኣ ወጸውዖሙ ለቅዱሳንሂ ወለዕቤራትሂ ወአወፈያ ኪያሃ ሕያውታ።
He gave her his hand and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.
9:42
γνωστὸν δὲ ἐγένετο καθ’ ὅλης τῆς Ἰόππης, καὶ ἐπίστευσαν πολλοὶ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον.
Notum autem factum est per universam Joppen : et crediderunt multi in Domino.
ወሰምዑ ኵሉ ኢዮጴ ወአምኑ ብዙኃን በእግዚእነ።
This became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
9:43
ἐγένετο δὲ ἡμέρας ἱκανὰς μεῖναι ἐν Ἰόππῃ παρά τινι Σίμωνι βυρσεῖ.
Factum est autem ut dies multos moraretur in Joppe, apud Simonem quemdam coriarium.
ወነበረ ጴጥሮስ ብዙኀ መዋዕለ በሀገረ ኢዮጴ ወኀደረ ውስተ ቤተ ስምዖን ሰፋዪ።
He stayed many days in Joppa with a tanner named Simon.
