Return to the earlier Adam, if you cannot to the last; once did he taste of the tree, once did he lust, once did he cover his shameful parts, once did he blush before God, once did he hide his blush, once was he exiled from the paradise of holiness, once thereafter did he marry. If you were in him, you have your pattern; if you have passed over into Christ, you ought to be better.
