📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

And he said to his mother: The eleven hundred pieces of silver that you took for yourself — and you uttered a curse against me and spoke it in my ears — behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said: Blessed to the Lord be my son.
And he gave back the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother, and his mother said: Sanctifying it I have sanctified the silver to the Lord from my hand, for my son, to make a carved image and a cast image; and now I will give it back to you.
And he gave back the silver to his mother, and his mother took two hundred pieces of silver and gave it to a silversmith, and he made it into a carved image and a cast image; and it was in the house of Michaias.
And the house of Michaias was for him a house of God. And he made an ephod and theraphin, and he filled the hand of one of his sons, and he became a priest for him.
And the man went from Bethleem, the city of Iouda, to sojourn in whatever place he might find; and as he made his way he came as far as the mountain of Ephraim and as far as the house of Michaias.
And Michaias said to him: Where do you come from? And he said to him: I am a Levite from Baithleem of Iouda, and I am going to sojourn in whatever place I may find.
And Michaias said to him: Stay with me, and become to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver for the day, and a suit of garments, and what you need for your living. And the Levite went.
