📖 This chapter exists in 3 other originals — side by side (Hebrew Old Testament, Vulgate, Ge'ez Bible)
ℹ️ This corpus has no verse-level morphological tagging. Lemmas come mainly from word-level tagging of other books in the same language (not from this verse), falling back to dictionary form-matching for the rest. Rare homographs can still be misread; verify against the original and a specialist lexicon where precision matters.
ℹ️ The Chinese and English alongside are this site's own translation, made directly from the original text on this page (not the CUV or the WEB, which follow the Masoretic Text and a different textual tradition).

Therefore thus says the Lord God the Almighty: In all the squares there shall be wailing, and in all the streets it shall be said, Woe, woe! And the farmer shall be called to mourning and wailing, and to those who know lamentation.
As when a man flees from the face of a lion and the bear falls upon him, and he leaps into his house and leans his hands upon the wall, and the serpent bites him.
For even if you bring me whole burnt offerings and your sacrifices, I will not accept them; and I will not look upon the display of your peace offering.
