12:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ τὸ γὰρ ἄφθαρτόν σου πνεῦμά ἐστιν ἐν πᾶσιν
O quam bonus et suavis est , Domine , spiritus tuus in omnibus !
ኦ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ መፍቀሬ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ እስመ ፡ እንቲአከ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ጥበብ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዘኢይጠፍእ ፡ መንፈስከ ፡ ኄር ፡ ሀሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ።
For your incorruptible spirit is in all things.
12:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ διὸ τοὺς παραπίπτοντας κατ’ ὀλίγον ἐλέγχεις καὶ ἐν οἷς ἁμαρτάνουσιν ὑπομιμνῄσκων νουθετεῖς ἵνα ἀπαλλαγέντες τῆς κακίας πιστεύσωσιν ἐπὶ σέ κύριε
Ideoque eos qui exerrant partibus corripis , et de quibus peccant admones et alloqueris , ut relicta malitia credant in te , Domine .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ትዘልፍ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ወድቁ ፡ በዘሕቅ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ይደሉ ፡ ለንባብ ፡ ወአበሳ ፡ እንተ ፡ አበሱ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ታዜክሮሙ ፡ ወትጌሥፆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ይጤይቁ ፡ ርኂቆሙ ፡ እምእከዮሙ ፡ ይእመኑ ፡ ብከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
Wherefore you convictest by little and little those who fall from the right way, And, putting them in remembrance by the very things wherein they sin, do you admonish them, That escaping from their wickedness they may believe on you, O Lord.
12:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ γὰρ τοὺς πάλαι οἰκήτορας τῆς ἁγίας σου γῆς
Illos enim antiquos inhabitatores terræ sanctæ tuæ , quos exhorruisti ,
እስመ ፡ ለቀደምት ፡ እለ ፡ የኀድሩ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ቅድስት ፡ ጸላእከ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምግባራቲሆሙ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ሥራይ ፡ ጽሉእ ፡ ወበዓላቲሆሙኒ ፡ ዘርኁቅ ፡ እምጽድቅ ።
For verily the old inhabitants of your holy land,
12:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ μισήσας ἐπὶ τῷ ἔχθιστα πράσσειν ἔργα φαρμακειῶν καὶ τελετὰς ἀνοσίους
quoniam odibilia opera tibi faciebant per medicamina et sacrificia injusta ,
ወቅትለተ ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ምሕረት ፡ ወአስተበውሖቶሙሰ ፡ በሊዐ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ውሥጠ ፡ ከርሦሙ ፡ ለሰብእ ፡ ወሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወደሞሙ ።
Hating them because they practised detestable works of enchantments and unholy rites
12:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ τέκνων τε φονὰς ἀνελεήμονας καὶ σπλαγχνοφάγον ἀνθρωπίνων σαρκῶν θοῖναν καὶ αἵματος ἐκ μέσου μύστας θιάσου
et filiorum suorum necatores sine misericordia , et comestores viscerum hominum , et devoratores sanguinis a medio sacramento tuo ,
እስመ ፡ ተአተተ ፡ እማእከሎሙ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ ምሥጢራተ ፡ መለኮትከ ፡ ወለነፍስ ፡ እንተ ፡ አልባቲ ፡ ረድኤት ፡ እምኀበ ፡ መኑሂ ፡ ይቀትሉ ፡ ነፍሳቲሆሙ ፡ ፈቀድከ ፡ ታኅጒሎሙ ፡ በእደ ፡ አበዊነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይንሥኡ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምኅደረ ፡ ዘይደሉ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ እንተ ፡ እምኀቤከ ፡ ክብርት ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ምድር ።
(Merciless slaughters of children, And sacrificial banquets of men’s flesh and of blood),
12:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ αὐθέντας γονεῖς ψυχῶν ἀβοηθήτων ἐβουλήθης ἀπολέσαι διὰ χειρῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν
et auctores parentes animarum inauxiliatarum , perdere voluisti per manus parentum nostrorum :
ወባሕቱ ፡ ኪያሆሙኒ ፡ መሐርከ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ትምሕር ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ወሶበ ፡ ፈኖከ ፡ መራደ ፡ ትንንያ ፡ ይቅድሙ ፡ ተዓይኒከ ፡ ኪያሆሙ ፡ በበሕቅ ፡ ይሥርዉ ።
Confederates in an impious fellowship, And murderers of their own helpless babes, It was your counsel to destroy by the hands of our fathers;
12:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἵνα ἀξίαν ἀποικίαν δέξηται θεοῦ παίδων ἡ παρὰ σοὶ πασῶν τιμιωτάτη γῆ
ut dignam perciperent peregrinationem puerorum Dei , quæ tibi omnium carior est terra .
ወእመ ፡ አኮ ፡ እምኢተስእነከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታግብኦሙ ፡ ለረዓሲን ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሆሙ ፡ ለጻድቃን ፡ በበዖታሆሙ ፡ ይፄውውዎሙ ።
That the land which in your sight is most precious of all lands Might receive a worthy colony of God’s servants.
12:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀλλὰ καὶ τούτων ὡς ἀνθρώπων ἐφείσω ἀπέστειλάς τε προδρόμους τοῦ στρατοπέδου σου σφῆκας ἵνα αὐτοὺς κατὰ βραχὺ ἐξολεθρεύσωσιν
Sed et his tamquam hominibus pepercisti , et misisti antecessores exercitus tui vespas , ut illos paulatim exterminarent .
ወእመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ትመጥዎሙ ፡ ለአራዊት ፡ ጸዋጋን ፡ ወእመ ፡ አኮ ፡ በእሉኒ ፡ በአሐዱ ፡ ቃል ፡ አዚዘከ ፡ ታጥፍኦሙ ።
Nevertheless even these you did spare as being men, And you sent hornets as forerunners of your army, To cause them to perish by little and little;
12:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐκ ἀδυνατῶν ἐν παρατάξει ἀσεβεῖς δικαίοις ὑποχειρίους δοῦναι ἢ θηρίοις δεινοῖς ἢ λόγῳ ἀποτόμῳ ὑφ’ ἓν ἐκτρῖψαι
Non quia impotens eras in bello subjicere impios justis , aut bestiis sævis , aut verbo duro simul exterminare :
ፈታሕከ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ በበሕቅ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትሁብ ፡ ኪያሆሙ ፡ መካን ፡ ለንስሐ ፡ አኮ ፡ ኢያእሚረከ ፡ ከመ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ሀልዎቶሙ ፡ ወእከዮሙ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ፈድፋደ ።
Not that you were unable to subdue the ungodly under the hand of the righteous in battle, Or by terrible beasts or by one stern word to make away with them at once;
12:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ κρίνων δὲ κατὰ βραχὺ ἐδίδους τόπον μετανοίας οὐκ ἀγνοῶν ὅτι πονηρὰ ἡ γένεσις αὐτῶν καὶ ἔμφυτος ἡ κακία αὐτῶν καὶ ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἀλλαγῇ ὁ λογισμὸς αὐτῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
sed partibus judicans , dabas locum pœnitentiæ , non ignorans quoniam nequam est natio eorum , et naturalis malitia ipsorum , et quoniam non poterat mutari cogitatio illorum in perpetuum .
ወከመ ፡ ኢይትመየጥ ፡ ሕሊናሆሙ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ እስመ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ዘርእ ፡ ርጉም ፡ እምትካት ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ኀፊረከ ፡ መነሂ ፡ ለአበሳ ፡ ዘአበሱ ፡ ትሁቦሙ ፡ ዕድሜ ።
But judging them by little and little you gave them a place of repentance, Not being ignorant that their nature by birth was evil, and their wickedness inborn, And that their manner of thought would in no wise ever be changed,
12:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ σπέρμα γὰρ ἦν κατηραμένον ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς οὐδὲ εὐλαβούμενός τινα ἐφ’ οἷς ἡμάρτανον ἄδειαν ἐδίδους
Semen enim erat maledictum ab initio ; nec timens aliquem , veniam dabas peccatis illorum .
ወመኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይብለከ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ገበርከ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይትቃሞ ፡ ለኵነኔከ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘያስተዋድከ ፡ ወይትኃሠሠከ ፡ በእንተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ዘተኀጒሉ ፡ ዘአንተ ፡ ገበርከ ።
For they were a seed accursed from the beginning: Neither was it through fear of any that you did leave them then unpunished for their sins.
12:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ τίς γὰρ ἐρεῖ τί ἐποίησας ἢ τίς ἀντιστήσεται τῷ κρίματί σου τίς δὲ ἐγκαλέσει σοι κατὰ ἐθνῶν ἀπολωλότων ἃ σὺ ἐποίησας ἢ τίς εἰς κατάστασίν σοι ἐλεύσεται ἔκδικος κατὰ ἀδίκων ἀνθρώπων
Quis enim dicet tibi : Quid fecisti ? aut quis stabit contra judicium tuum ? aut quis in conspectu tuo veniet vindex iniquorum hominum ? aut quis tibi imputabit , si perierint nationes quas tu fecisti ?
ወመኑ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ መኰንን ፡ ዘይበጽሕ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ለተዋቅሦ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ዓማዕያን ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘእንበሌከ ፡ ዘይሔሊ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታርኢ ፡ ከመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ግፍዐ ፡ ዘኰነንከ ።
For who will say, What have you done? Or who will withstand your judgement? And who will accuse you for the perishing of nations which you did make? Or who will come and stand before you as an avenger for unrighteous men?
12:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὔτε γὰρ θεός ἐστιν πλὴν σοῦ ᾧ μέλει περὶ πάντων ἵνα δείξῃς ὅτι οὐκ ἀδίκως ἔκρινας
Non enim est alius deus quam tu , cui cura est de omnibus , ut ostendas quoniam non injuste judicas judicium .
ኢ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወኢ ፡ መኰንን ፡ ወኢ ፡ መስፍን ፡ ኢይክል ፡ ተናጽሮ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይሔምየከ ፡ በእንተ ፡ እለ ፡ ኰነንኮሙ ።
For neither is there any God beside you that careth for all, That you might show to him that you did not judge unrighteously:
12:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὔτε βασιλεὺς ἢ τύραννος ἀντοφθαλμῆσαι δυνήσεταί σοι περὶ ὧν ἐκόλασας
Neque rex , neque tyrannus in conspectu tuo inquirent de his quos perdidisti .
እስመ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ አንተ ፡ ዘበጽድቅ ፡ ትሠርዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ረሰይከ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ነኪረ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኃይልከ ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ መፍትወ ፡ ለኰንኖ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትኰንን ።
Neither will king or prince be able to look you in the face to plead for those whom you have punished.
12:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ δίκαιος δὲ ὢν δικαίως τὰ πάντα διέπεις αὐτὸν τὸν μὴ ὀφείλοντα κολασθῆναι καταδικάσαι ἀλλότριον ἡγούμενος τῆς σῆς δυνάμεως
Cum ergo sis justus , juste omnia disponis ; ipsum quoque qui non debet puniri , condemnare , exterum æstimas a tua virtute .
እስመ ፡ ኃይልከ ፡ ቀዳሚሃ ፡ ለጽድቅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ቅንየትከ ፡ ወምልክናከ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ይሬስየከ ፡ ትሣሃል ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ።
But being righteous you rule all things righteously, Deeming it a thing alien from your power To condemn one that does not himself deserve to be punished.
12:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡ γὰρ ἰσχύς σου δικαιοσύνης ἀρχή καὶ τὸ πάντων σε δεσπόζειν πάντων φείδεσθαί σε ποιεῖ
Virtus enim tua justitiæ initium est , et ob hoc quod Dominus es , omnibus te parcere facis .
እስመ ፡ ከሠትከ ፡ ኃይለከ ፡ ለዘኢየአምን ፡ ፍጻሜ ፡ ክሂሎትከ ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ኢየአምኑ ፡ ትዘልፍ ፡ ተሀብሎቶሙ ።
For your strength is the beginning of righteousness, And your sovereignty over all makes you to forbear all.
12:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἰσχὺν γὰρ ἐνδείκνυσαι ἀπιστούμενος ἐπὶ δυνάμεως τελειότητι καὶ ἐν τοῖς εἰδόσι τὸ θράσος ἐξελέγχεις
Virtutem enim ostendis tu , qui non crederis esse in virtute consummatus , et horum qui te nesciunt audaciam traducis .
ወእንዘ ፡ አንተ ፡ መኰንን ፡ ኃያል ፡ ዘበየዋሃት ፡ ትኴንን ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ምሕረት ፡ ታሄልወነ ፡ ወማእዜ ፡ እመ ፡ ፈቀድከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ክሂል ፡ ሀሎ ፡ ኀቤከ ።
For when men believe not that you are perfect in power, you show your strength, And in dealing with those who know it you put their boldness to confusion.
12:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ σὺ δὲ δεσπόζων ἰσχύος ἐν ἐπιεικείᾳ κρίνεις καὶ μετὰ πολλῆς φειδοῦς διοικεῖς ἡμᾶς πάρεστιν γάρ σοι ὅταν θέλῃς τὸ δύνασθαι
Tu autem dominator virtutis , cum tranquillitate judicas , et cum magna reverentia disponis nos : subest enim tibi , cum volueris posse .
ወመሐርከ ፡ ሕዝበከ ፡ በዘከመዝ ፡ ምግባር ፡ ከመ ፡ መፍትው ፡ ይኩን ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ ወርኅሩኅ ፡ ወመፍቀሬ ፡ ሰብእ ።
But you, being sovereign over your strength, judge in gentleness, And with great forbearance do you govern us; For the power is your whenever you have the will.
12:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐδίδαξας δέ σου τὸν λαὸν διὰ τῶν τοιούτων ἔργων ὅτι δεῖ τὸν δίκαιον εἶναι φιλάνθρωπον καὶ εὐέλπιδας ἐποίησας τοὺς υἱούς σου ὅτι διδοῖς ἐπὶ ἁμαρτήμασιν μετάνοιαν
Docuisti autem populum tuum per talia opera , quoniam oportet justum esse et humanum ; et bonæ spei fecisti filios tuos , quoniam judicans das locum in peccatis pœnitentiæ .
ወሠናየ ፡ ተስፋ ፡ ረሰይከ ፡ ለወልድከ ፡ ወተናገርኮሙ ፡ ለውሉድከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ትሁብ ፡ ለአባሲ ፡ ንስሐ ።
But you did teach your people by such works as these, How that the righteous must be a lover of men; And you did make your sons to be of good hope, Because you give repentance when men have sinned.
12:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰ γὰρ ἐχθροὺς παίδων σου καὶ ὀφειλομένους θανάτῳ μετὰ τοσαύτης ἐτιμωρήσω προσοχῆς καὶ διέσεως δοὺς χρόνους καὶ τόπον δῑ ὧν ἀπαλλαγῶσι τῆς κακίας
Si enim inimicos servorum tuorum , et debitos morti , cum tanta cruciasti attentione , dans tempus et locum per quæ possent mutari a malitia :
ወሀበኒ ፡ ሀለዉ ፡ ፀረ ፡ ደቂቅከ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ እለ ፡ ድልዋን ፡ ለመዊት ፡ ምስለ ፡ መጠነዝ ፡ ትዕግሥት ፡ ኰነንከ ፡ ወወሀብኮሙ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ወፍኖተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይድኀኑ ፡ ባቲ ፡ እምእኩይ ።
For if on those who were enemies of your servants and due to death You did take vengeance with so great heedfulness and indulgence, Giving them times and place whereby they might escape from their wickedness;
12:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ μετὰ πόσης ἀκριβείας ἔκρινας τοὺς υἱούς σου ὧν τοῖς πατράσιν ὅρκους καὶ συνθήκας ἔδωκας ἀγαθῶν ὑποσχέσεων
cum quanta diligentia judicasti filios tuos , quorum parentibus juramenta et conventiones dedisti bonarum promissionum !
ወሚመጠነ ፡ በጥንቃቄ ፡ ትኴንን ፡ ውሉደከ ፡ እለ ፡ ወሀብኮሙ ፡ መሐላ ፡ ወኪዳነ ፡ ተስፋ ፡ ወእንዘ ፡ ትጌሥፅ ፡ ኪዳነ ።
With how great carefulness did you judge your sons, To whose fathers you gave oaths and covenants of good promises!
12:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡμᾶς οὖν παιδεύων τοὺς ἐχθροὺς ἡμῶν ἐν μυριότητι μαστιγοῖς ἵνα σου τὴν ἀγαθότητα μεριμνῶμεν κρίνοντες κρινόμενοι δὲ προσδοκῶμεν ἔλεος
Cum ergo das nobis disciplinam , inimicos nostros multipliciter flagellas , ut bonitatem tuam cogitemus judicantes , et cum de nobis judicatur , speremus misericordiam tuam .
ወጸረነሂ ፡ በብዙኅ ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ ምእልፊተ ፡ ትቀሥፍ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ትኴንኖሙ ፡ ኂሩተከ ፡ ንዘከር ፡ ወንትመሰሎ ።
While therefore you do chasten us, you scourge our enemies ten thousand times more, To the intent that we may ponder your goodness when we judge, And when we are judged may look for mercy.
12:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅθεν καὶ τοὺς ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ ζωῆς βιώσαντας ἀδίκως διὰ τῶν ἰδίων ἐβασάνισας βδελυγμάτων
Unde et illis qui in vita sua insensate et injuste vixerunt , per hæc quæ coluerunt dedisti summa tormenta .
ወሶበሂ ፡ ንትኴነን ፡ ንሴፎ ፡ ሣህለከ ፡ ወበዝየሰ ፡ ኰነንከ ፡ ዓማፅያነ ፡ እለ ፡ በዕደው ፡ ሐይዉ ፡ ሕይወተ ፡ ወነበሩ ፡ በኃጢአት ።
Wherefore also the unrighteous that lived in folly of life You did torment through their own abominations.
12:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ γὰρ τῶν πλάνης ὁδῶν μακρότερον ἐπλανήθησαν θεοὺς ὑπολαμβάνοντες τὰ καὶ ἐν ζῴοις τῶν αἰσχρῶν ἄτιμα νηπίων δίκην ἀφρόνων ψευσθέντες
Etenim in erroris via diutius erraverunt , deos æstimantes hæc quæ in animalibus sunt supervacua , infantium insensatorum more viventes .
ወኰነንኮሙ ፡ በዘዚአሆሙ ፡ ርኵሰ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተኀጒሉ ፡ በነዋኅ ፡ ፎኖተ ፡ ስሕተት ፡ አማልክተ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይበሉ ፡ ኅሡራነ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ዘበኀበ ፡ አንፃሪሆሙ ።
For verily they went astray very far in the ways of error, Taking as gods those animals which even among their enemies were held in dishonor, Deceived like foolish babes.
12:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ διὰ τοῦτο ὡς παισὶν ἀλογίστοις τὴν κρίσιν εἰς ἐμπαιγμὸν ἔπεμψας
Propter hoc tamquam pueris insensatis judicium in derisum dedisti .
ወሐሰዉ ፡ ከመ ፡ ከቂቅ ፡ እለ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ አእምሮ ፡ በእንተዝ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሕፃናት ፡ እለ ፡ አልቦሙ ፡ ንባበ ፡ ፈኖከ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ኵነኔ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ተውኔቶሙ ።
Therefore, as to unreasoning children, you did send your judgement to mock them.
12:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἱ δὲ παιγνίοις ἐπιτιμήσεως μὴ νουθετηθέντες ἀξίαν θεοῦ κρίσιν πειράσουσιν
Qui autem ludibriis et increpationibus non sunt correcti , dignum Dei judicium experti sunt .
ወሶበ ፡ ተገሠፁ ፡ ተግሣፀ ፡ መዓት ፡ ይጥዓሙኬ ፡ ኅብስተ ፡ ኵነኔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሄር ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ እስመ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ አንጐርጐሩ ፡ በዘረከቦሙ ፡ ሕማም ፡ ወተአንተሉ ።
But those who would not be admonished by a mocking correction as of children Shall have experience of a judgement worthy of God.
12:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐφ’ οἷς γὰρ αὐτοὶ πάσχοντες ἠγανάκτουν ἐπὶ τούτοις οὓς ἐδόκουν θεούς ἐν αὐτοῖς κολαζόμενοι ἰδόντες ὃν πάλαι ἠρνοῦντο εἰδέναι θεὸν ἐπέγνωσαν ἀληθῆ διὸ καὶ τὸ τέρμα τῆς καταδίκης ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς ἐπῆλθεν
In quibus enim patientes indignabantur per hæc quos putabant deos , in ipsis cum exterminarentur videntes , illum quem olim negabant se nosse , verum Deum agnoverunt ; propter quod et finis condemnationis eorum venit super illos .
ወበእልክቱ ፡ እለ ፡ ሐላይዎሙ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ተኰነኑቦሙ ፡ የአምርዎ ፡ ለዘክሕድዎ ፡ ቀድሙ ፡ ወየአምርዎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ዘበጽድቅ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ በጽሖሙ ፡ ፍጻሜሁ ፡ ለበቀል ።
For through the sufferings whereat they were indignant, Being punished in these creatures which they supposed to be gods, They saw, and recognized as the true God him whom before they refused to know: Wherefore also the last end of condemnation came upon them.
