47:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ μετὰ τοῦτον ἀνέστη Ναθαν προφητεύειν ἐν ἡμέραις Δαυιδ
Post hæc surrexit Nathan , propheta in diebus David .
ወእምድኅሬሁ ፡ ተንሥአ ፡ ናታን ፡ ወተነበየ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ዳዊት ።
And after him rose up Nathan To prophesy in the days of David.
47:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὥσπερ στέαρ ἀφωρισμένον ἀπὸ σωτηρίου οὕτως Δαυιδ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ
Et quasi adeps separatus a carne , sic David a filiis Israël .
ከመ ፡ ይፈልጡ ፡ ስብሐ ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ መድኀኒት ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ተፈልጠ ፡ እምነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
As is the fat when it is separated from the peace offering, So was David separated from the children of Israel.
47:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐν λέουσιν ἔπαιξεν ὡς ἐν ἐρίφοις καὶ ἐν ἄρκοις ὡς ἐν ἄρνασι προβάτων
Cum leonibus lusit quasi cum agnis , et in ursis similiter fecit sicut in agnis ovium , in juventute sua .
ከመ ፡ መሓስዐ ፡ አጣሊ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ዐናብስት ፡ በኀቤሁ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ማሕስዐ ፡ በግዕ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ድብ ፡ በኀቤሁ ።
He played with lions as with kids, And with bears as with lambs of the flock.
47:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐν νεότητι αὐτοῦ οὐχὶ ἀπέκτεινεν γίγαντα καὶ ἐξῆρεν ὀνειδισμὸν ἐκ λαοῦ ἐν τῷ ἐπᾶραι χεῖρα ἐν λίθῳ σφενδόνης καὶ καταβαλεῖν γαυρίαμα τοῦ Γολιαθ
Numquid non occidit gigantem , et abstulit opprobrium de gente ?
አኮኑ ፡ በንእሱ ፡ ቀተለ ፡ ይርባሕ ፡ ወአኅድጎሙ ፡ ጽዕለቶሙ ፡ ለሕዝቡ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አንሥአ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ወጸፎ ፡ በእብን ፡ ወሄጶ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍጽሙ ፡ ለጎልያድ ፡ ወረከቦ ፡ ናላሁ ።
In his youth did he not kill a giant, And take away reproach from the people, When he lifted up his hand with a sling stone, And beat down the boasting of Goliath?
47:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐπεκαλέσατο γὰρ κύριον τὸν ὕψιστον καὶ ἔδωκεν ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ κράτος ἐξᾶραι ἄνθρωπον δυνατὸν ἐν πολέμῳ ἀνυψῶσαι κέρας λαοῦ αὐτοῦ
In tollendo manum , saxo fundæ dejecit exsultationem Goliæ :
እስመ ፡ ጸውዖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ልዑል ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ የማኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይቅትል ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ኀያለ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ጸብእ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያንኅ ፡ ቀርኖሙ ፡ ለሕዝቡ ።
For he called upon the Most High Lord; And he gave him strength in his right hand, To kill a man mighty in war, To exalt the horn of his people.
47:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὕτως ἐν μυριάσιν ἐδόξασαν αὐτὸν καὶ ᾔνεσαν αὐτὸν ἐν εὐλογίαις κυρίου ἐν τῷ φέρεσθαι αὐτῷ διάδημα δόξης
nam invocavit Dominum omnipotentem , et dedit in dextera ejus tollere hominem fortem in bello , et exaltare cornu gentis suæ .
ወሎቱሰ ፡ አግብአ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ዕልገቶ ፡ በእልፍ ፡ ሐለያሁ ፡ ወዘመራሁ ፡ በበረከተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወተቀጸለ ፡ አክሊለ ፡ ስብሐት ።
So they glorified him for his ten thousands, And praised him for the blessings of the Lord, In that there was given him a diadem of glory.
47:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐξέτριψεν γὰρ ἐχθροὺς κυκλόθεν καὶ ἐξουδένωσεν Φυλιστιιμ τοὺς ὑπεναντίους ἕως σήμερον συνέτριψεν αὐτῶν κέρας
Sic in decem millibus glorificavit eum : et laudavit eum in benedictionibus Domini , in offerendo illi coronam gloriæ :
ወቀጥቀጦሙ ፡ ለፀሩ ፡ እለ ፡ ዐውዱ ፡ ወአኅሰሮሙ ፡ ለፀ [ር ]፡ ፍልስጥኤም ፡ ወሰበሮሙ ፡ ቀርኖሙ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዮም ።
For he destroyed the enemies on every side, And brought to nothing the Philistines his adversaries, Brake their horn in pieces to this day.
47:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐν παντὶ ἔργῳ αὐτοῦ ἔδωκεν ἐξομολόγησιν ἁγίῳ ὑψίστῳ ῥήματι δόξης ἐν πάσῃ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ὕμνησεν καὶ ἠγάπησεν τὸν ποιήσαντα αὐτόν
contrivit enim inimicos undique , et extirpavit Philisthiim contrarios usque in hodiernum diem : contrivit cornu ipsorum usque in æternum .
ወበኵሉ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ይትአመን ፡ ቦቱ ፡ ወበቃለ ፡ ስብሐቲሁ ፡ ለልዑል ፡ ወቅዱስ ፡ ወሰብሖ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ወአእኰቶ ፡ ለፈጣሪሁ ፡ ወአፍቀሮ ።
In every work of his he gave thanks to the Holy One Most High with words of glory; With his whole heart he sang praise, And loved him that made him.
47:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔστησεν ψαλτῳδοὺς κατέναντι τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ ἐξ ἠχοῦς αὐτῶν γλυκαίνειν μέλη
In omni opere dedit confessionem Sancto , et Excelso in verbo gloriæ .
ወአቀመ ፡ መዘምራነ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ምሥዋዕ ፡ ወጕማ ፡ ቃሎሙ ፡ ሐዋዝ ፡ ወጥዑም ።
Also he set singers before the altar, And to make sweet melody by their music.
47:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἔδωκεν ἐν ἑορταῖς εὐπρέπειαν καὶ ἐκόσμησεν καιροὺς μέχρι συντελείας ἐν τῷ αἰνεῖν αὐτοὺς τὸ ἅγιον ὄνομα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ πρωίας ἠχεῖν τὸ ἁγίασμα
De omni corde suo laudavit Dominum : et dilexit Deum , qui fecit illum , et dedit illi contra inimicos potentiam :
ወገብረ ፡ በዓለ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወአስተፍሥሐ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ወሰብሐ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ እምነግህ ፡ ይትነበብ ፡ ቅድሳቱ ።
He gave comeliness to the feasts, And set in order the seasons to perfection, While they praised his holy name, And the sanctuary sounded from early morning.
47:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ κύριος ἀφεῖλεν τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνύψωσεν εἰς αἰῶνα τὸ κέρας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ διαθήκην βασιλέων καὶ θρόνον δόξης ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ
et stare fecit cantores contra altare , et in sono eorum dulces fecit modos .
ወደምሰሰ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀጣውአ ፡ ወአንኀ ፡ ቀርኖ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ መንግሥተ ፡ ቡርክተ ፡ ወመንበረ ፡ ክብሮሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
The Lord took away his sins, And exalted his horn forever; And gave him a covenant of kings, And a throne of glory in Israel.
47:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ μετὰ τοῦτον ἀνέστη υἱὸς ἐπιστήμων καὶ δῑ αὐτὸν κατέλυσεν ἐν πλατυσμῷ
Et dedit in celebrationibus decus , et ornavit tempora usque ad consummationem vitæ , ut laudarent nomen sanctum Domini , et amplificarent mane Dei sanctitatem .
ወእምድኅሬሁ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ቆመ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ ጠቢብ ፡ ወበእንቲአሁ ፡ ኀደረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መርሕብ ።
After him rose up a son, a man of understanding; And for his sake he lived at large.
47:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ Σαλωμων ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν ἡμέραις εἰρήνης ᾧ ὁ θεὸς κατέπαυσεν κυκλόθεν ἵνα στήσῃ οἶκον ἐπ’ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ καὶ ἑτοιμάσῃ ἁγίασμα εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
Dominus purgavit peccata ipsius , et exaltavit in æternum cornu ejus : et dedit illi testamentum regni , et sedem gloriæ in Israël .
ወነግሠ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ሰላም ፡ ወአዕረፎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ዐውዱ ፡ ወአቀመ ፡ ቤተ ፡ በስመ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ወገብረ ፡ መቅደሰ ፡ በስሙ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
Solomon reigned in days of peace; And to him God gave rest round about, That he might set up a house for his name, And prepare a sanctuary forever.
47:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὡς ἐσοφίσθης ἐν νεότητί σου καὶ ἐνεπλήσθης ὡς ποταμὸς συνέσεως
Post ipsum surrexit filius sensatus , et propter illum dejecit omnem potentiam inimicorum .
ወፈድፋደ ፡ ጥበብከ ፡ እምንእስከ ፡ ወመልአት ፡ ጥበብከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማየ ፡ ተከዜ ።
How wise was you made in your youth, And filled as a river with understanding!
47:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ γῆν ἐπεκάλυψεν ἡ ψυχή σου καὶ ἐνέπλησας ἐν παραβολαῖς αἰνιγμάτων
Salomon imperavit in diebus pacis , cui subjecit Deus omnes hostes , ut conderet domum in nomine suo , et pararet sanctitatem in sempiternum . Quemadmodum eruditus es in juventute tua ,
ወደፈነቶ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ነፍስከ ፡ ወአብዛኅከ ፡ አምሳሊከ ፡ ወፍካሬ ፡ ነገርከ ።
Your soul covered the earth, And you filled it with dark parables.
47:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰς νήσους πόρρω ἀφίκετο τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ ἠγαπήθης ἐν τῇ εἰρήνῃ σου
et impletus es , quasi flumen , sapientia , et terram retexit anima tua .
ወተሰምዐ ፡ ስምከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ርሑቅ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ ወአፍቀሩከ ፡ እንበይነ ፡ ሰላምከ ።
Your name reached to the aisles afar off; And for your peace you were beloved.
47:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐν ᾠδαῖς καὶ παροιμίαις καὶ παραβολαῖς καὶ ἐν ἑρμηνείαις ἀπεθαύμασάν σε χῶραι
Et replesti in comparationibus ænigmata : ad insulas longe divulgatum est nomen tuum , et dilectus es in pace tua .
ወበመዝሙርከ ፡ ወበአምሳሊከ ፡ ወበነገርከ ፡ ወአንከሩከ ፡ በሓውርት ፡ እምነ ፡ ፍካሬ ፡ ቃልከ ።
For your songs and proverbs and parables, And for your interpretations, the countries marveled at you.
47:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἐπικεκλημένου θεοῦ Ισραηλ συνήγαγες ὡς κασσίτερον τὸ χρυσίον καὶ ὡς μόλιβον ἐπλήθυνας ἀργύριον
In cantilenis , et proverbiis , et comparationibus , et interpretationibus , miratæ sunt terræ :
በስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘተሰምየ ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወዘገብካሁ ፡ ለወርቅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዐረር ፡ ወከመ ፡ ናእክ ፡ መላእካሁ ፡ ለብሩር ።
By the name of the Lord God, Which is called the God of Israel, You did gather gold as tin, And did multiply silver as lead.
47:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ παρανέκλινας τὰς λαγόνας σου γυναιξὶν καὶ ἐνεξουσιάσθης ἐν τῷ σώματί σου
et in nomine Domini Dei , cui est cognomen Deus Israël .
ወሜጣከ ፡ አንስት ፡ ኅሊናከ ፡ ወተሰለጥከ ፡ በሥጋከ ።
You did bow your loins to women, And in your body you were brought into subjection.
47:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἔδωκας μῶμον ἐν τῇ δόξῃ σου καὶ ἐβεβήλωσας τὸ σπέρμα σου ἐπαγαγεῖν ὀργὴν ἐπὶ τὰ τέκνα σου καὶ κατανυγῆναι ἐπὶ τῇ ἀφροσύνῃ σου
Collegisti quasi auricalcum aurum , et ut plumbum complesti argentum :
ወአንወርከ ፡ ክብረከ ፡ ወገመንከ ፡ ዘርአከ ፡ ወአምጻእከ ፡ መንሱተ ፡ ወመቅሠፍተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ውሉድከ ፡ ወአደንገጸኒ ፡ እበድከ ።
You did blemish your honor, And profane your seed, To bring wrath upon your children; And I was grieved for your folly:
47:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ γενέσθαι δίχα τυραννίδα καὶ ἐξ Εφραιμ ἄρξαι βασιλείαν ἀπειθῆ
et inclinasti femora tua mulieribus : potestatem habuisti in corpore tuo .
ወተናፈቀ ፡ ምኵናኒከ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ወፅአት ፡ መንግሥተ ፡ ዐላዊት ።
So that the sovereignty was divided, And out of Ephraim ruled a disobedient kingdom.
47:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ κύριος οὐ μὴ καταλίπῃ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ διαφθείρῃ ἀπὸ τῶν λόγων αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ μὴ ἐξαλείψῃ ἐκλεκτοῦ αὐτοῦ ἔκγονα καὶ σπέρμα τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντος αὐτὸν οὐ μὴ ἐξάρῃ καὶ τῷ Ιακωβ ἔδωκεν κατάλειμμα καὶ τῷ Δαυιδ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ῥίζαν
Dedisti maculam in gloria tua , et profanasti semen tuum , inducere iracundiam ad liberos tuos , et incitari stultitiam tuam :
ወእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢኀደገ ፡ ምሕረቶ ፡ ወኢያጥፍአ ፡ ተግባሮ ፡ ወኢደመሰሰ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ጻድቃን ፡ ወኢያእተተ ፡ ዘርኦሙ ፡ ለእ [ለ ፡ያፈቅርዎ ]፤ወወሀበ ፡ ለያዕቆብ ፡ ተረፈ ፡ ወለዳዊትኒ ፡ ሥርወ ፡ እምኔሁ ።
But the Lord will never forsake his mercy; And he will not destroy any of his works, Nor blot out the posterity of his elect; And the seed of him that loved him he will not take away; And he gave a remnant to Jacob, And to David a root out of him.
47:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀνεπαύσατο Σαλωμων μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ κατέλιπεν μετ’ αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος αὐτοῦ λαοῦ ἀφροσύνην καὶ ἐλασσούμενον συνέσει Ροβοαμ ὃς ἀπέστησεν λαὸν ἐκ βουλῆς αὐτοῦ
ut faceres imperium bipartitum , et ex Ephraim imperare imperium durum .
ወአዕረፈ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ምስለ ፡ አበዊሁ ፡ ወኀደገ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ አብድ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ልበ ፡ ሮብዓም ፡ ዘአዕለዎሙ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ በምክሩ ፡ ወኢዮሮብዓም ፡ ዘአስሐቶሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ወገብረ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ኀጢአት ፡ ለኤፍሬም ።
And so rested Solomon with his fathers; And of his seed he left behind him Rehoboam, Even the foolishness of the people, and one that lacked understanding, Who made the people to revolt by his counsel. Also Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Who made Israel to sin, And gave to Ephraim a way of sin.
47:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ Ιεροβοαμ υἱὸς Ναβατ ὃς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἔδωκεν τῷ Εφραιμ ὁδὸν ἁμαρτίας καὶ ἐπληθύνθησαν αἱ ἁμαρτίαι αὐτῶν σφόδρα ἀποστῆσαι αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς αὐτῶν
Deus autem non derelinquet misericordiam suam : et non corrumpet , nec delebit opera sua , neque perdet a stirpe nepotes electi sui , et semen ejus qui diligit Dominum non corrumpet .
ወበዝኀ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ ወአውፅኦሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድሮሙ ።
And their sins were multiplied exceedingly, To remove them from their land.
47:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πᾶσαν πονηρίαν ἐξεζήτησαν ἕως ἐκδίκησις ἔλθῃ ἐπ’ αὐτούς
Dedit autem reliquum Jacob , et David de ipsa stirpe .
ወኀሠሥዋ ፡ ለኵላ ፡ እኪት ፡ እስከ ፡ በጽሖሙ ፡ ፍዳሆሙ ።
For they sought out all manner of wickedness, Till vengeance should come upon them.
