1:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר יְהֹוָ֧ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֛ה בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר סִינַ֖י בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד בְּאֶחָד֩ לַחֹ֨דֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִ֜י בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשֵּׁנִ֗ית לְצֵאתָ֛ם מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῇ Σινα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐν μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου ἔτους δευτέρου ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen in deserto Sinai in tabernaculo foederis , prima die mensis secundi , anno altero egressionis eorum ex Aegypto , dicens :
(:ኦሪት ፡ ዘኍልቍ ።)ወነበቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ በገዳም ፡ ዘሲና ፡ በውስተ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ አመ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ሠርቀ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ በካልእት ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘወፅኡ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
1:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ שְׂא֗וּ אֶת ־רֹאשׁ֙ כׇּל ־עֲדַ֣ת בְּנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם בְּמִסְפַּ֣ר שֵׁמ֔וֹת כׇּל ־זָכָ֖ר לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָֽם ׃
λάβετε ἀρχὴν πάσης συναγωγῆς υἱῶν Ισραηλ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν πᾶς ἄρσην
Tollite summam universae congregationis filiorum Israël per cognationes et domos suas , et nomina singulorum , quidquid sexus est masculini
አኀዙ ፡ እምጥንቱ ፡ ወኈልቍዎሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ተዓይኖሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በበነገዶሙ ፡ ወበበቤተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወበበ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ለለ ፡ አሐዱ ፤
“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,
1:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה כׇּל ־יֹצֵ֥א צָבָ֖א בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל תִּפְקְד֥וּ אֹתָ֛ם לְצִבְאֹתָ֖ם אַתָּ֥ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן ׃
ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν δυνάμει Ισραηλ ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν σὺ καὶ Ααρων ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς
a vigesimo anno et supra , omnium virorum fortium ex Israël , et numerabitis eos per turmas suas , tu et Aaron .
ኵሉ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ ዘእምነ ፡ ዕሥራ ፡ ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወአስተፋቅድዎሙ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይሎሙ ፤
from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.
1:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִתְּכֶ֣ם יִהְי֔וּ אִ֥ישׁ אִ֖ישׁ לַמַּטֶּ֑ה אִ֛ישׁ רֹ֥אשׁ לְבֵית ־אֲבֹתָ֖יו הֽוּא ׃
καὶ μεθ’ ὑμῶν ἔσονται ἕκαστος κατὰ φυλὴν ἑκάστου ἀρχόντων κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν ἔσονται
Eruntque vobiscum principes tribuum ac domorum in cognationibus suis ,
አንተ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ አስተፋቅድዎሙ ።
With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.
1:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַֽעַמְד֖וּ אִתְּכֶ֑ם לִרְאוּבֵ֕ן אֱלִיצ֖וּר בֶּן ־שְׁדֵיאֽוּר ׃
καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν οἵτινες παραστήσονται μεθ’ ὑμῶν τῶν Ρουβην Ελισουρ υἱὸς Σεδιουρ
quorum ista sunt nomina : de Ruben , Elisur , filius Sedeur ;
ወየሀልው ፡ ምስሌክሙ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምነ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ነገዶሙ ፡ እለ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ የሀልው ።
These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
1:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְשִׁמְע֕וֹן שְׁלֻמִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן ־צוּרִֽישַׁדָּֽי ׃
τῶν Συμεων Σαλαμιηλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαι
de Simeon , Salamiel filius Surisaddai ;
ወዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ለውእቶሙ ፡ ዕደው ፡ እለ ፡ መጽኡ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ዘእምውስተ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ኤሊሱር ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሰዲዩር ።
Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
1:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִֽיהוּדָ֕ה נַחְשׁ֖וֹן בֶּן ־עַמִּינָדָֽב ׃
τῶν Ιουδα Ναασσων υἱὸς Αμιναδαβ
de Juda , Nahasson filius Aminadab ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ስምዖን ፡ ሰልሚየል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሶሪስዴ ።
Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
1:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְיִ֨שָּׂשכָ֔ר נְתַנְאֵ֖ל בֶּן ־צוּעָֽר ׃
τῶν Ισσαχαρ Ναθαναηλ υἱὸς Σωγαρ
de Issachar , Nathanaël filius Suar ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ነአሶን ፡ ወልደ ፡ አሚናዳብ ።
Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
1:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִזְבוּלֻ֕ן אֱלִיאָ֖ב בֶּן ־חֵלֹֽן ׃
τῶν Ζαβουλων Ελιαβ υἱὸς Χαιλων
de Zabulon , Eliab filius Helon ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ይስካር ፡ ናተናኤል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሶገር ።
Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.
1:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִבְנֵ֣י יוֹסֵ֔ף לְאֶפְרַ֕יִם אֱלִישָׁמָ֖ע בֶּן ־עַמִּיה֑וּד לִמְנַשֶּׁ֕ה גַּמְלִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן ־פְּדָהצֽוּר ׃
τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ τῶν Εφραιμ Ελισαμα υἱὸς Εμιουδ τῶν Μανασση Γαμαλιηλ υἱὸς Φαδασσουρ
filiorum autem Joseph , de Ephraim , Elisama filius Ammiud ; de Manasse , Gamaliel filius Phadassur ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ዛቡሎን ፡ ኤልያብ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኬሎን ።
Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
1:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְבִ֨נְיָמִ֔ן אֲבִידָ֖ן בֶּן ־גִּדְעֹנִֽי ׃
τῶν Βενιαμιν Αβιδαν υἱὸς Γαδεωνι
de Benjamin , Abidan filius Gedeonis ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ትውልደ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ዘእምነ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ኤሊሳማ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሴሚዩድ ፡ ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ማናሴ ፡ ገማልያል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ፈዳሶር ።
Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.
1:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְדָ֕ן אֲחִיעֶ֖זֶר בֶּן ־עַמִּֽישַׁדָּֽי ׃
τῶν Δαν Αχιεζερ υἱὸς Αμισαδαι
de Dan , Ahiezer filius Ammisaddai ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ብንያሚ ፡ አቢዳን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ጋዲዮኒ ።
Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
1:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְאָשֵׁ֕ר פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן ־עׇכְרָֽן ׃
τῶν Ασηρ Φαγαιηλ υἱὸς Εχραν
de Aser , Phegiel filius Ochran ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ዳን ፡ አኪየዜር ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሰሚሳዴ ።
Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.
1:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְגָ֕ד אֶלְיָסָ֖ף בֶּן ־דְּעוּאֵֽל ׃
τῶν Γαδ Ελισαφ υἱὸς Ραγουηλ
de Gad , Eliasaph filius Duel ;
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ አሴር ፡ ፋጌኤል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኤክራን ።
Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
1:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְנַ֨פְתָּלִ֔י אֲחִירַ֖ע בֶּן ־עֵינָֽן ׃
τῶν Νεφθαλι Αχιρε υἱὸς Αιναν
de Nephthali , Ahira filius Enan .
ወዘአምውስተ ፡ ጋድ ፡ ኤሊሳፍ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ራጉኤል ።
Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”
1:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֵ֚לֶּה (קריאי ) [קְרוּאֵ֣י ] הָעֵדָ֔ה נְשִׂיאֵ֖י מַטּ֣וֹת אֲבוֹתָ֑ם רָאשֵׁ֛י אַלְפֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽם ׃
οὗτοι ἐπίκλητοι τῆς συναγωγῆς ἄρχοντες τῶν φυλῶν κατὰ πατριάς χιλίαρχοι Ισραηλ εἰσίν
Hi nobilissimi principes multitudinis per tribus et cognationes suas , et capita exercitus Israël ,
ወዘእምውስተ ፡ ንፍታሌም ፡ አኪሬ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ኤናን ።
These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.
1:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקַּ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹ֑ן אֵ֚ת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִקְּב֖וּ בְּשֵׁמֹֽת* (בספרי ספרד ואשכנז בְּשֵׁמֽוֹת )׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων τοὺς ἄνδρας τούτους τοὺς ἀνακληθέντας ἐξ ὀνόματος
quos tulerunt Moyses et Aaron cum omni vulgi multitudine :
እሉ ፡ ውእቶሙ ፡ ኅሩያነ ፡ ተዓይኒሆሙ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ነገዶሙ ፡ ዘበበ ፡ አዝማዲሆሙ ፡ መሳፍንቶሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ እሙንቱ ።
Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.
1:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֨ת כׇּל ־הָעֵדָ֜ה הִקְהִ֗ילוּ בְּאֶחָד֙ לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י וַיִּתְיַֽלְד֥וּ עַל ־מִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם בְּמִסְפַּ֣ר שֵׁמ֗וֹת מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָ֛ה וָמַ֖עְלָה לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν συνήγαγον ἐν μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου ἔτους καὶ ἐπηξονοῦσαν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν
et congregaverunt primo die mensis secundi , recensentes eos per cognationes , et domos , ac familias , et capita , et nomina singulorum a vigesimo anno et supra ,
ወነሥእዎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ለእሉ ፡ ዕደው ፡ እለ ፡ ተሰምዩ ፡ በበ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ።
They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.
1:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַֽיִּפְקְדֵ֖ם בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר סִינָֽי ׃ {ס}
ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῇ Σινα
sicut praeceperat Dominus Moysi . Numeratique sunt in deserto Sinai .
ወአስተጋብኡ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተዓይነ ፡ አመ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ በካልእት ፡ ዓመት ፡ ወኈለቍዎሙ ፡ በበ ፡ አዝማዲሆሙ ፡ ወበበ ፡ ነገዶሙ ፡ ወበበኍልቈ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ [ለ ]ኵሉ ፡ ተባዕቶሙ ፡ በበርእሶሙ ፤
As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.
1:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּהְי֤וּ בְנֵֽי ־רְאוּבֵן֙ בְּכֹ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל תּוֹלְדֹתָ֥ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם בְּמִסְפַּ֤ר שֵׁמוֹת֙ לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָ֔ם כׇּל ־זָכָ֗ר מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה כֹּ֖ל יֹצֵ֥א צָבָֽא ׃
καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην πρωτοτόκου Ισραηλ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει
De Ruben primogenito Israëlis per generationes et familias ac domos suas , et nomina capitum singulorum , omne quod sexus est masculini a vigesimo anno et supra , procedentium ad bellum ,
በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወኈለቍዎሙ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ በደብረ ፡ ሲና ።
The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
1:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ פְּקֻדֵיהֶ֖ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה רְאוּבֵ֑ן שִׁשָּׁ֧ה וְאַרְבָּעִ֛ים אֶ֖לֶף וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת ׃ {פ}
ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ρουβην ἓξ καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι
quadraginta sex millia quingenti .
ወኮነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ በኵሩ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ በበአዝማዲሆሙ ፡ ወበበሕዘቢሆሙ ፡ ወበበአብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወበበኍልቈ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ወበበ ፡ ርእሶሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ተባዕቶሙ ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይል ፤
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
1:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִבְנֵ֣י שִׁמְע֔וֹן תּוֹלְדֹתָ֥ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם פְּקֻדָ֗יו בְּמִסְפַּ֤ר שֵׁמוֹת֙ לְגֻלְגְּלֹתָ֔ם כׇּל ־זָכָ֗ר מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה כֹּ֖ל יֹצֵ֥א צָבָֽא ׃
τοῖς υἱοῖς Συμεων κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει
De filiis Simeon per generationes et familias ac domos cognationum suarum recensiti sunt per nomina et capita singulorum , omne quod sexus est masculini a vigesimo anno et supra , procedentium ad bellum ,
ኍለቊሆሙ ፡ ዘእምነገደ ፡ ሮቤል ፡ ፬፻-፻፷፻፭፻ ።
Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
1:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ פְּקֻדֵיהֶ֖ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה שִׁמְע֑וֹן תִּשְׁעָ֧ה וַחֲמִשִּׁ֛ים אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת ׃ {פ}
ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Συμεων ἐννέα καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι
quinquaginta novem millia trecenti .
ወደቂቁኒ ፡ ለስምዖን ፡ በበአዝማዲሆሙ ፡ ወበበሕዘቢሆሙ ፡ ወበበአብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወበበኍልቈ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ወበበርእሶሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይል ፤
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
1:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ לִבְנֵ֣י גָ֔ד תּוֹלְדֹתָ֥ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם בְּמִסְפַּ֣ר שֵׁמ֗וֹת מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה כֹּ֖ל יֹצֵ֥א צָבָֽא ׃
τοῖς υἱοῖς Ιουδα κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει
De filiis Gad per generationes et familias ac domos cognationum suarum recensiti sunt per nomina singulorum a viginti annis et supra , omnes qui ad bella procederent ,
ኍለቊሆሙ ፡ ዘእምነገደ ፡ ስምዖን ፡ ፭፻-፻፺፻፫፻ ።
Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
1:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ פְּקֻדֵיהֶ֖ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה גָ֑ד חֲמִשָּׁ֤ה וְאַרְבָּעִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף וְשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וַחֲמִשִּֽׁים ׃ {פ}

ወደቂቁኒ ፡ ለይሁዳ ፡ በበአዝማዲሆሙ ፡ ወበበሕዘቢሆሙ ፡ ወበበአብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወበበኍልቈ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ወበበርእሶሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይል ፤

ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ισσαχαρ τέσσαρες καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι
recensiti sunt septuaginta quatuor millia sexcenti .

ወደቂቁኒ ፡ ለንፍታሌም ፡ በበአዝማዲሆሙ ፡ ወበበሕዘቤሆሙ ፡ ወበበአብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ወበበኍልቈ ፡ አስማቲሆሙ ፡ ወበበርእሶሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተባዕት ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይል ፤

1:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֵ֣לֶּה הַפְּקֻדִ֡ים אֲשֶׁר֩ פָּקַ֨ד מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאַהֲרֹן֙ וּנְשִׂיאֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר אִ֑ישׁ אִישׁ ־אֶחָ֥ד לְבֵית ־אֲבֹתָ֖יו הָיֽוּ ׃
αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις ἣν ἐπεσκέψαντο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ δώδεκα ἄνδρες ἀνὴρ εἷς κατὰ φυλὴν μίαν κατὰ φυλὴν οἴκων πατριᾶς ἦσαν
Hi sunt , quos numeraverunt Moyses et Aaron , et duodecim principes Israël , singulos per domos cognationum suarum .
ኍለቊሆሙ ፡ ዘእምነገደ ፡ ንፍታሌም ፡ ፭፻-፻፴፻፬፻ ።
These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.
1:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְי֛וּ כׇּל ־פְּקוּדֵ֥י בְנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה כׇּל ־יֹצֵ֥א צָבָ֖א בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις υἱῶν Ισραηλ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος παρατάξασθαι ἐν Ισραηλ
Fueruntque omnis numerus filiorum Israël per domos et familias suas a vigesimo anno et supra , qui poterant ad bella procedere ,
ዛቲ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ፍቅድ ፡ እንተ ፡ አስተፋቀድዎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ወመላእክቲሆሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ፲ወ፪ዕደው ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ፩፩ነገድ ፡ አምነገደ ፡ አብያተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ ውእቶሙ ።
So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel—
1:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־הַפְּקֻדִ֔ים שֵׁשׁ ־מֵא֥וֹת אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֑ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וַחֲמִשִּֽׁים ׃
ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα
sexcenta tria millia virorum quingenti quinquaginta .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኍለቊሆሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኀይሎሙ ፡ ዘእም፳ዓም ፡ ወላዕሉ ፡ አምኔሁ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘይወፅእ ፡ ፀብአ ፡ እምነ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ፷፻-፻፴፻፭፻፶ ።
all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
1:47 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַלְוִיִּ֖ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה אֲבֹתָ֑ם לֹ֥א הׇתְפָּקְד֖וּ בְּתוֹכָֽם ׃ {פ}
οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς πατριᾶς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ
Levitae autem in tribu familiarum suarum non sunt numerati cum eis .
ወሌዋውያንሰ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ነገደ ፡ ፍጥረቶሙ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወኢኈለቍዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.
1:48 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen , dicens :
ወነበቦ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፤
For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1:49 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַ֣ךְ אֶת ־מַטֵּ֤ה לֵוִי֙ לֹ֣א תִפְקֹ֔ד וְאֶת ־רֹאשָׁ֖ם לֹ֣א תִשָּׂ֑א בְּת֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
ὅρα τὴν φυλὴν τὴν Λευι οὐ συνεπισκέψῃ καὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν οὐ λήμψῃ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ
Tribum Levi noli numerare , neque pones summam eorum cum filiis Israël :
ዑቅ ፡ ኢትኈልቆሙ ፡ ለነገደ ፡ ሌዊ ፡ ወኢትትመጠው ፡ ኍለቊሆሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;
1:50 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאַתָּ֡ה הַפְקֵ֣ד אֶת ־הַלְוִיִּם֩ עַל ־מִשְׁכַּ֨ן הָעֵדֻ֜ת וְעַ֣ל כׇּל ־כֵּלָיו֮ וְעַ֣ל כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁר ־לוֹ֒ הֵ֜מָּה יִשְׂא֤וּ אֶת ־הַמִּשְׁכָּן֙ וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־כֵּלָ֔יו וְהֵ֖ם יְשָׁרְתֻ֑הוּ וְסָבִ֥יב לַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן יַחֲנֽוּ ׃
καὶ σὺ ἐπίστησον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ αὐτοὶ ἀροῦσιν τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ αὐτοὶ λειτουργήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσιν
sed constitue eos super tabernaculum testimonii et cuncta vasa ejus , et quidquid ad caeremonias pertinet . Ipsi portabunt tabernaculum et omnia utensilia ejus : et erunt in ministerio , ac per gyrum tabernaculi metabuntur .
ወሢሞሙ ፡ ለሌዋውያን ፡ ዲበ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ንዋያ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ያንሥእዋ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ንዋያ ፡ ወከመ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ [ወዐውደ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ይትዐየኑ ።]
but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
1:51 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבִנְסֹ֣עַ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֗ן יוֹרִ֤ידוּ אֹתוֹ֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם וּבַחֲנֹת֙ הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יָקִ֥ימוּ אֹת֖וֹ הַלְוִיִּ֑ם וְהַזָּ֥ר הַקָּרֵ֖ב יוּמָֽת ׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν σκηνὴν καθελοῦσιν αὐτὴν οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ἐν τῷ παρεμβάλλειν τὴν σκηνὴν ἀναστήσουσιν καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀποθανέτω
Cum proficiscendum fuerit , deponent Levitae tabernaculum ; cum castrametandum , erigent . Quisquis externorum accesserit , occidetur .
ወእመኒ ፡ ግዕዝት ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ይ [ተ ]ክልዋ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ወእመሰ ፡ ኅድርት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ያነሥእዋ ፡ ወዘእምባዕድ ፡ ዘመድ ፡ ዘአኅበረ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ሐዊረ ፡ ለይሙት ።
When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
1:52 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְחָנ֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אִ֧ישׁ עַֽל ־מַחֲנֵ֛הוּ וְאִ֥ישׁ עַל ־דִּגְל֖וֹ לְצִבְאֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀνὴρ ἐν τῇ ἑαυτοῦ τάξει καὶ ἀνὴρ κατὰ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἡγεμονίαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν
Metabuntur autem castra filii Israël unusquisque per turmas et cuneos atque exercitum suum .
ወይትዐየኑ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ቢጹ ፡ ወብእሲ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ምስፍናሁ ፡ በበኀይሎሙ ።
The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
1:53 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם יַחֲנ֤וּ סָבִיב֙ לְמִשְׁכַּ֣ן הָעֵדֻ֔ת וְלֹֽא ־יִהְיֶ֣ה קֶ֔צֶף עַל ־עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְשָׁמְרוּ֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֶת ־מִשְׁמֶ֖רֶת מִשְׁכַּ֥ן הָעֵדֽוּת ׃
οἱ δὲ Λευῖται παρεμβαλέτωσαν ἐναντίον κυρίου κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἁμάρτημα ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ φυλάξουσιν οἱ Λευῖται αὐτοὶ τὴν φυλακὴν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
Porro Levitae per gyrum tabernaculi figent tentoria , ne fiat indignatio super multitudinem filiorum Israël , et excubabunt in custodiis tabernaculi testimonii .
ወሌዋውያንሰ ፡ ይትዐየኑ ፡ ፍጽመ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐውደ ፡ ደብተራ ፡ ዘመርጡል ፡ ወኢይከውን ፡ ጌጋይ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይዕቀቡ ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ሕጋ ፡ ለደብተራ ፡ መርጡል ።
But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
1:54 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כְּ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֖ה כֵּ֥ן עָשֽׂוּ ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ κατὰ πάντα ἃ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων οὕτως ἐποίησαν
Fecerunt ergo filii Israël juxta omnia quae praeceperat Dominus Moysi .
ወገብሩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዞሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ገብሩ ።
Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.
