28:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ὀψὲ δὲ σαββάτων , τῇ ἐπιφωσκούσῃ εἰς μίαν σαββάτων , ἦλθεν Μαριὰμ ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ ἡ ἄλλη Μαρία θεωρῆσαι τὸν τάφον .
Vespere autem sabbati , quae lucescit in prima sabbati , venit Maria Magdalene , et altera Maria , videre sepulchrum .
ወሠርከ ሰንበት ለጸቢሐ እሑድ መጽአት ማርያም መግደላዊት ወካልእታኒ ማርያም ይርአያ መቃብሮ ።
Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
28:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδοὺ σεισμὸς ἐγένετο μέγας · ἄγγελος γὰρ κυρίου καταβὰς ἐξ οὐρανοῦ καὶ προσελθὼν ἀπεκύλισεν τὸν λίθον καὶ ἐκάθητο ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ .
Et ecce terraemotus factus est magnus . Angelus enim Domini descendit de caelo : et accedens revolvit lapidem , et sedebat super eum :
ወናሁ ኮነ ድልቅልቅ ዐቢይ እስመ መልአከ እግዚአብሔር ወረደ እምሰማይ ወቀርበ ወአንኰርኰራ ለይእቲ እብን እምአፈ መቃብር ወነበረ ዲቤሃ ።
Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.
28:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἦν δὲ ἡ εἰδέα αὐτοῦ ὡς ἀστραπὴ , καὶ τὸ ἔνδυμα αὐτοῦ λευκὸν ὡς χιών .
erat autem aspectus ejus sicut fulgur : et vestimentum ejus sicut nix .
ወርእየቱ ከመ ዘመብረቅ ወአልባሲሁኒ ጸዓዳ ከመ ዘበረድ ።
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.
28:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ φόβου αὐτοῦ ἐσείσθησαν οἱ τηροῦντες καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ὡς νεκροί .
Prae timore autem ejus exterriti sunt custodes , et facti sunt velut mortui .
ወእምግርማሁ ተሀውኩ ወኮኑ ከመ አብድንት እለ የዐቅቡ መቃብረ ።
For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men.
28:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν ταῖς γυναιξίν · μὴ φοβεῖσθε ὑμεῖς · οἶδα γὰρ ὅτι Ἰησοῦν τὸν ἐσταυρωμένον ζητεῖτε .
Respondens autem angelus dixit mulieribus : Nolite timere vos : scio enim , quod Jesum , qui crucifixus est , quaeritis .
ወአውሥአ ውእቱ መልአክ ወይቤሎን ለአንስት ኢትፍርሃ አንትንሰ እስመ አአምር ከመ ኢየሱስሃ ዘተሰቅለ ተኀሥሣ ።
The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.
28:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε · ἠγέρθη γὰρ , καθὼς εἶπεν · δεῦτε ἴδετε τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἔκειτο .
Non est hic : surrexit enim , sicut dixit : venite , et videte locum ubi positus erat Dominus .
ኢሀሎ ዝየሰ ተንሥአ በከመ ይቤ ወባሕቱ ንዓ ትርአያ መካኖ ኀበ ተቀብረ ።
He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
28:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ταχὺ πορευθεῖσαι εἴπατε τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἠγέρθη ἀπὸ τῶν νεκρῶν , καὶ ἰδοὺ προάγει ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν , ἐκεῖ αὐτὸν ὄψεσθε . ἰδοὺ εἶπον ὑμῖν .
Et cito euntes , dicite discipulis ejus quia surrexit : et ecce praecedit vos in Galilaeam : ibi eum videbitis : ecce praedixi vobis .
ወፍጡነ ሑራ ንግራሆሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ከመ ተንሥአ እምዉታን ወናሁ ይቀድመክሙ ገሊላ ወበህየ ትሬእይዎ ናሁ አይዳዕኩክን ።
Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”
28:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπελθοῦσαι ταχὺ ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου μετὰ φόβου καὶ χαρᾶς μεγάλης ἔδραμον ἀπαγγεῖλαι τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ .
Et exierunt cito de monumento cum timore et gaudio magno , currentes nuntiare discipulis ejus .
ወኀለፋ ፍጡነ እምኀበ መቃብር በፍርሀት ወበፍሥሓ ዐቢይ ወሮጻ ይንግራሆሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ።
They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.
28:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἰησοῦς ὑπήντησεν αὐταῖς λέγων · χαίρετε . αἱ δὲ προσελθοῦσαι ἐκράτησαν αὐτοῦ τοὺς πόδας καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτῷ .
Et ecce Jesus occurrit illis , dicens : Avete . Illae autem accesserunt , et tenuerunt pedes ejus , et adoraverunt eum .
ወእንዘ የሐውራ ይንግራሆሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ተራክቦን እግዚእ ኢየሱስ በፍኖት ወይቤሎን በሓክን ወቀርባ ወአኀዛ እገሪሁ ወሰገዳ ሎቱ ።
As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
28:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ τότε λέγει αὐταῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς · μὴ φοβεῖσθε · ὑπάγετε ἀπαγγείλατε τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου ἵνα ἀπέλθωσιν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν , καὶ ἐκεῖ με ὄψονται .
Tunc ait illis Jesus : Nolite timere : ite , nuntiate fratribus meis ut eant in Galilaeam ; ibi me videbunt .
ወእምዝ ይቤሎን እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኢትፍርሃ ሑራ ንግራሆሙ ለአኀውየ ከመ ይሑሩ ገሊላ ወበህየ ይሬእዩኒ ።
Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”
28:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ Πορευομένων δὲ αὐτῶν , ἰδού τινες τῆς κουστωδίας ἐλθόντες εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπήγγειλαν τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν ἅπαντα τὰ γενόμενα .
Quae cum abiissent , ecce quidam de custodibus venerunt in civitatem , et nuntiaverunt principibus sacerdotum omnia quae facta fuerant .
ወኀሊፎን እማንቱ አተዉ ሠገራት ሀገረ ወነገሩ ለሊቃነ ካህናት ኵሎ ዘኮነ ።
Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.
28:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ συναχθέντες μετὰ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων συμβούλιόν τε λαβόντες ἀργύρια ἱκανὰ ἔδωκαν τοῖς στρατιώταις ,
Et congregati cum senioribus consilio accepto , pecuniam copiosam dederunt militibus ,
ወተጋብኡ ወተማከሩ ምስለ ሊቃውንት ወወሀብዎሙ ብዙኀ ወርቀ ለሠገራት ።
When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,
28:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ λέγοντες · εἴπατε ὅτι οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ νυκτὸς ἐλθόντες ἔκλεψαν αὐτὸν ἡμῶν κοιμωμένων .
dicentes : Dicite quia discipuli ejus nocte venerunt , et furati sunt eum , nobis dormientibus .
ወይቤልዎሙ በሉ አርዳኢሁ ሌሊተ መጽኡ ወሰረቅዎ እንዘ ንነውም ንሕነ ።
saying, “Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.
28:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν ἀκουσθῇ τοῦτο ἐπὶ τοῦ ἡγεμόνος , ἡμεῖς πείσομεν καὶ ὑμᾶς ἀμερίμνους ποιήσομεν .
Et si hoc auditum fuerit a praeside , nos suadebimus ei , et securos vos faciemus .
ወእምከመ ተሰምዐ ዝንቱ ነገር በኀበ መልአከ አሕዛብ ንሕነ ናአምኖ ወለክሙኒ ናድኅነክሙ ወናጸድቅ ነገረክሙ ወዘእንበለ ኀዘን ንሬስየክሙ ።
If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”
28:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἱ δὲ λαβόντες τὰ ἀργύρια ἐποίησαν ὡς ἐδιδάχθησαν · καὶ ἐφημίσθη ὁ λόγος οὗτος παρὰ Ἰουδαίοις μέχρι τῆς σήμερον .
At illi , accepta pecunia , fecerunt sicut erant edocti . Et divulgatum est verbum istud apud Judaeos , usque in hodiernum diem .
ወነሢኦሙ ሠገራት ውእተ ብሩረ ኀለፉ ወገብሩ በከመ መሀርዎሙ ወወፅአ ዝንቱ ነገር በኀበ አይሁድ እስከ ዮም ።
So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.
28:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ Οἱ δὲ ἕνδεκα μαθηταὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν εἰς τὸ ὄρος οὗ ἐτάξατο αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ,
Undecim autem discipuli abierunt in Galilaeam in montem ubi constituerat illis Jesus .
ወአርዳኢሁሰ ዐሠርቱ ወአሐዱ ሖሩ ውስተ ገሊላ ኀበ ደብር ዘአዘዞሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ።
But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them.
28:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν προσεκύνησαν , οἱ δὲ ἐδίστασαν .
Et videntes eum adoraverunt : quidam autem dubitaverunt .
ወሶበ ርእይዎ ሰገዱ ሎቱ ወመንፈቆሙሰ ናፈቁ ።
When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted.
28:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ προσελθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς λέγων · ἐδόθη μοι πᾶσα ἐξουσία ἐν οὐρανῷ καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς .
Et accedens Jesus locutus est eis , dicens : Data est mihi omnis potestas in caelo et in terra :
ወቀርበ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወተናገሮሙ እንዘ ይብል ተውህበ ሊተ ኵሉ ኵነኔ ሰማይ ወምድር ።
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
28:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ πορευθέντες μαθητεύσατε πάντα τὰ ἔθνη , βαπτίζοντες αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ τοῦ υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος ,
euntes ergo docete omnes gentes : baptizantes eos in nomine Patris , et Filii , et Spiritus Sancti :
ሑሩ ወመሀሩ ኵሎ አሕዛበ ወእንዘ ታጠምቅዎሙ በሉ በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ ።
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ διδάσκοντες αὐτοὺς τηρεῖν πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν . καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ μεθ’ ὑμῶν εἰμι πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἕως τῆς συντελείας τοῦ αἰῶνος .
docentes eos servare omnia quaecumque mandavi vobis : et ecce ego vobiscum sum omnibus diebus , usque ad consummationem saeculi .
ወመሀርዎሙ ይዕቀቡ ኵሎ ዘአዘዝኩክሙ ወናሁ አነ እሄሉ ምስሌክሙ በኵሉ መዋዕል እስከ ኅልቀተ ዓለም ። መልአ ጽሕፈተ ብሥራቱ ለማቴዎስ ሐዋርያ አሐዱ እምዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ ሐዋርያት ወኮነ ዘጸሐፎ በምድረ ፍልስጥኤም በአስተሐምሞ መንፈስ ቅዱስ እምድኅረ ዕርገቱ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በአጵሮግዮን ውስተ ሰማይ በሰመንቱ ዓመት ወበቀዳሚት ዓመተ መንግሥቱ ለቀላውዴዎስ ቄሣር ። ወስብሐት ለእግዚአብሔር አሜን ።
teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
