21:1
Καὶ ὅτε ἤγγισαν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Βηθφαγὴ εἰς τὸ ὄρος τῶν ἐλαιῶν, τότε Ἰησοῦς ἀπέστειλεν δύο μαθητὰς
Et cum appropinquassent Jerosolymis, et venissent Bethphage ad montem Oliveti : tunc Jesus misit duos discipulos,
ወቀሪቦ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኢየሩሳሌም በጽሐ ቤተ ፋጌ እንተ ገቦ ደብረ ዘይት ወእምዝ ፈነወ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ክልኤተ እምአርዳኢሁ።
When they came near to Jerusalem and came to Bethsphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
21:2
λέγων αὐτοῖς· πορεύεσθε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν, καὶ εὐθὺς εὑρήσετε ὄνον δεδεμένην καὶ πῶλον μετ’ αὐτῆς· λύσαντες ἀγάγετέ μοι.
dicens eis : Ite in castellum, quod contra vos est, et statim invenietis asinam alligatam, et pullum cum ea : solvite, et adducite mihi :
ወይቤሎሙ ሑሩ ሀገረ ዘቅድሜክሙ ወይእተ ጊዜ ትረክቡ እድግተ እስርተ ምስለ ዕዋላ ፍትሕዎሙ ወአምጽእዎሙ ሊተ።
saying to them, “Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.
21:3
καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ τι, ἐρεῖτε ὅτι ὁ κύριος αὐτῶν χρείαν ἔχει· εὐθὺς δὲ ἀποστελεῖ αὐτούς.
et si quis vobis aliquid dixerit, dicite quia Dominus his opus habet : et confestim dimittet eos.
ወእመቦ ዘይቤለክሙ ምንተ ትገብሩ በሉ እግዚኦሙ ይፈቅዶሙ ወበጊዜሃ ይፌንዉክሙ።
If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
21:4
τοῦτο δὲ γέγονεν ἵνα πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος·
Hoc autem totum factum est, ut adimpleretur quod dictum est per prophetam dicentem :
ወዝ ኵሉ ዘኮነ ከመ ይትፈጸም ዘተብህለ በነቢይ።
All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
21:5
εἴπατε τῇ θυγατρὶ Σιών· ἰδοὺ ὁ βασιλεύς σου ἔρχεταί σοι, πραῢς καὶ ἐπιβεβηκὼς ἐπὶ ὄνον, καὶ ἐπὶ πῶλον υἱὸν ὑποζυγίου.
Dicite filiae Sion : Ecce rex tuus venit tibi mansuetus, sedens super asinam, et pullum filium subjugalis.
«በልዋ ለወለተ ጽዮን ነዋ ንጉሥኪ ይመጽእ ኀቤኪ ጻድቅ ወየዋህ እንዘ ይጼዐን ዲበ እድግት ወዲበ ዕዋላ።»
“Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
21:6
πορευθέντες δὲ οἱ μαθηταὶ καὶ ποιήσαντες καθὼς προσέταξεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς,
Euntes autem discipuli fecerunt sicut praecepit illis Jesus.
ወሐዊሮሙ አርዳኢሁ ገብሩ በከመ አዘዞሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ።
The disciples went and did just as Jesus commanded them,
21:7
ἤγαγον τὴν ὄνον καὶ τὸν πῶλον, καὶ ἐπέθηκαν ἐπ’ αὐτῶν τὰ ἱμάτια, καὶ ἐπεκάθισεν ἐπάνω αὐτῶν.
Et adduxerunt asinam, et pullum : et imposuerunt super eos vestimenta sua, et eum desuper sedere fecerunt.
ወአምጽኡ እድግተ ወዕዋላ ወረሐኑ አልባሲሆሙ ላዕሌሆሙ ወተጽዕነ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ዲቤሆሙ።
and brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.
21:8
ὁ δὲ πλεῖστος ὄχλος ἔστρωσαν ἑαυτῶν τὰ ἱμάτια ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ, ἄλλοι δὲ ἔκοπτον κλάδους ἀπὸ τῶν δένδρων καὶ ἔστρωσαν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ.
Plurima autem turba straverunt vestimenta sua in via : alii autem caedebant ramos de arboribus, et sternebant in via :
ወዘይበዝኁ ሕዝብ ነጸፉ አልባሲሆሙ ውስተ ፍኖት ወካልኣንሂ መተሩ አዕጹቀ እምውስተ ዕፀው ወነጸፉ ውስተ ፍኖት።
A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
21:9
οἱ δὲ ὄχλοι οἱ προάγοντες αὐτὸν καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον λέγοντες· ὡσαννὰ τῷ υἱῷ Δαυείδ, εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου, ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις.
turbae autem, quae praecedebant, et quae sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes : Hosanna filio David : benedictus, qui venit in nomine Domini : hosanna in altissimis.
ወሕዝብሰ እለ የሐውሩ ቅድሜሁ ወእለሂ ይተልዉ ይጸርሑ ወይብሉ ሆሣዕና ለወልደ ዳዊት ቡሩክ ዘይመጽእ በስመ እግዚአብሔር ሆሣዕና በአርአያም።
The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
21:10
Καὶ εἰσελθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα ἐσείσθη πᾶσα ἡ πόλις λέγουσα· τίς ἐστιν οὗτος;
Et cum intrasset Jerosolymam, commota est universa civitas, dicens : Quis est hic ?
ወበዊኦ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኢየሩሳሌም ተሀውከት ኵላ ሀገር እንዘ ትብል መኑ ውእቱ ዝንቱ።
When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”
21:11
οἱ δὲ ὄχλοι ἔλεγον· οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ προφήτης Ἰησοῦς ὁ ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲθ τῆς Γαλιλαίας.
Populi autem dicebant : Hic est Jesus propheta a Nazareth Galilaeae.
ወይቤሉ አሕዛብ ዝ ውእቱ ኢየሱስ ነቢይ ዘእምናዝሬት ዘገሊላ።
The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”
21:12
Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ ἱερόν τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ ἐξέβαλεν πάντας τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν κατέστρεψεν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστεράς,
Et intravit Jesus in templum Dei, et ejiciebat omnes vendentes et ementes in templo, et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit :
ወቦአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ቤተ መቅደስ ወሰደደ ኵሎ እለ ይሠይጡ ወይሣየጡ በቤተ መቅደስ ወገፍትዐ ማእዳቲሆሙ ለመወልጣን ወመናብርቲሆሙ ለእለ ይሠይጡ ርግበ።
Jesus entered into the temple of God and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
21:13
καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· γέγραπται· ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται, ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐτὸν ποιεῖτε σπήλαιον λῃστῶν.
et dicit eis : Scriptum est : Domus mea domus orationis vocabitur : vos autem fecistis illam speluncam latronum.
ወይቤሎሙ ጽሑፍ ዘይብል ቤትየሰ ቤተ ጸሎት ይሰመይ ወአንትሙሰ ረሰይክምዎ በኣተ ፈያት ወሰረቅት።
He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers!”
21:14
Καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ τυφλοὶ καὶ χωλοὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς.
Et accesserunt ad eum caeci, et claudi in templo : et sanavit eos.
ወመጽኡ ኀቤሁ ዕዉራን ወሐንካሳን በቤተ መቅደስ ወአሕየዎሙ።
The lame and the blind came to him in the temple, and he healed them.
21:15
ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς τὰ θαυμάσια ἃ ἐποίησεν καὶ τοὺς παῖδας τοὺς κράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ καὶ λέγοντας, ὡσαννὰ τῷ υἱῷ Δαυείδ, ἠγανάκτησαν
Videntes autem principes sacerdotum et scribae mirabilia quae fecit, et pueros clamantes in templo, et dicentes : Hosanna filio David : indignati sunt,
ወሶበ ርእዩ ሊቃነ ካህናት ወጸሐፍት መንክረ ዘገብረ ወደቂቅኒ እንዘ ይጸርሑ በቤተ መቅደስ፥ ወይብሉ ሆሣዕና ለወልደ ዳዊት ኢሐወዞሙ አላ አንጐርጐሩ።
But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,
21:16
καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· ἀκούεις τί οὗτοι λέγουσιν; ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· ναί· οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ὅτι ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἶνον;
et dixerunt ei : Audis quid isti dicunt ? Jesus autem dixit eis : Utique. Numquam legistis : Quia ex ore infantium et lactentium perfecisti laudem ?
ወይቤልዎ ኢትሰምዕኑ ዘይብሉ እሉ ደቂቅ ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ እወ አልቦሁ አመ አንበብክሙ ዘይቤ «እምአፈ ደቂቅ ወሕፃናት አስተዳሎከ ስብሐተ።»
and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have perfected praise’?”
21:17
καὶ καταλιπὼν αὐτοὺς ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως εἰς Βηθανίαν, καὶ ηὐλίσθη ἐκεῖ.
Et relictis illis, abiit foras extra civitatem in Bethaniam : ibique mansit.
ወኀደጎሙ ወወፅአ አፍኣ እምሀገር ወቦአ ቢታንያ ወቤተ ህየ።
He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and camped there.
21:18
Πρωῒ δὲ ἐπαναγαγὼν εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἐπείνασεν.
Mane autem revertens in civitatem, esuriit.
ወጸቢሖ እንዘ የዐርግ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ሀገረ ርኅበ።
Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.
21:19
καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν μίαν ἐπὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἦλθεν ἐπ’ αὐτήν, καὶ οὐδὲν εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ εἰ μὴ φύλλα μόνον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῇ· οὐ μηκέτι ἐκ σοῦ καρπὸς γένηται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. καὶ ἐξηράνθη παραχρῆμα ἡ συκῆ.
Et videns fici arborem unam secus viam, venit ad eam : et nihil invenit in ea nisi folia tantum, et ait illi : Numquam ex te fructus nascatur in sempiternum. Et arefacta est continuo ficulnea.
ወርእየ ዕፀ በለስ በፍኖት ወሖረ ኀቤሃ ይንሣእ ፍሬ እምኔሃ ወኢረከበ ውስቴታ ዘእንበለ ቈጽል ባሕቲቱ ወይቤላ ኢይኩን እንከ ፍሬ እምውስቴትኪ ለዓለም ወየብሰት በጊዜሃ ይእቲ በለስ።
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away.
21:20
καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες· πως παραχρῆμα ἐξηράνθη ἡ συκῆ;
Et videntes discipuli, mirati sunt, dicentes : Quomodo continuo aruit ?
ወርእዮሙ አርዳኢሁ አንከሩ ወይቤሉ እፎ በጊዜሃ የብሰት ዛቲ በለስ።
When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”
21:21
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ἐὰν ἔχητε πίστιν καὶ μὴ διακριθῆτε, οὐ μόνον τὸ τῆς συκῆς ποιήσετε, ἀλλὰ κἂν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ εἴπητε· ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, γενήσεται·
Respondens autem Jesus, ait eis : Amen dico vobis, si habueritis fidem, et non haesitaveritis, non solum de ficulnea facietis, sed et si monti huic dixeritis : Tolle, et jacta te in mare, fiet.
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ አማን እብለክሙ እመ ብክሙ ሃይማኖት ወኢትናፍቁ አኮ ክመ ዕፀ ባሕቲቶ ዘትገብሩ አላ ለዝንቱ ደብር ለእመ ትብልዎ ተንሥእ ወተወረው ውስተ ባሕር ይከውን ለክሙ።
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.
21:22
καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῇ προσευχῇ πιστεύοντες λήμψεσθε.
Et omnia quaecumque petieritis in oratione credentes, accipietis.
ወኵሎ ዘሰአልክሙ በጸሎት እንዘ ትትአመኑ ትነሥኡ።
All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
21:23
Καὶ ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ διδάσκοντι οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι τοῦ λαοῦ λέγοντες· ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; καὶ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην;
Et cum venisset in templum, accesserunt ad eum docentem principes sacerdotum, et seniores populi, dicentes : In qua potestate haec facis ? et quis tibi dedit hanc potestatem ?
ወበዊኦ ቤተ መቅደስ እንዘ ይሜህር ቀርቡ ኀቤሁ ሊቃነ ካህናት ወመላህቅተ ሕዝብ እንዘ ይብሉ በመባሕተ መኑ ትገብር ዘንተ ወመኑ ወሀበከ ዘንተ ሥልጣነ።
When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”
21:24
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ἐρωτήσω ὑμᾶς κἀγὼ λόγον ἕνα, ὃν ἐὰν εἴπητέ μοι κἀγὼ ὑμῖν ἐρῶ ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ·
Respondens Jesus dixit eis : Interrogabo vos et ego unum sermonem : quem si dixeritis mihi, et ego vobis dicam in qua potestate haec facio.
ወአውሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ እሴአለክሙ አነሂ አሐተ ቃለ ወእምከመ ነገርክሙኒ አነሂ አየድዐክሙ በአይ ሥልጣን እገብር ዘንተ።
Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:25
τὸ βάπτισμα τὸ Ἰωάννου πόθεν ἦν; ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; οἱ δὲ διελογίζοντο παρ’ ἑαυτοῖς λέγοντες·
Baptismus Joannis unde erat ? e caelo, an ex hominibus ? At illi cogitabant inter se, dicentes :
ጥምቀቱ ለዮሐንስ እምአይቴ ውእቱ እምሰማይኑ ወሚመ እምሰብእ ወኀለዩ በበይናቲሆሙ ወይቤሉ እመ ንብሎ እምሰማይ ይብለነ በእፎኬ ዘኢአመንክምዎ።
The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
21:26
ἐὰν εἴπωμεν· ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ ἡμῖν· διὰ τί οὖν οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ; ἐὰν δὲ εἴπωμεν· ἐξ ἀνθρώπων, φοβούμεθα τὸν ὄχλον· πάντες γὰρ ὡς προφήτην ἔχουσιν τὸν Ἰωάννην.
Si dixerimus, e caelo, dicet nobis : Quare ergo non credidistis illi ? Si autem dixerimus, ex hominibus, timemus turbam : omnes enim habebant Joannem sicut prophetam.
ወእመሂ ንብሎ እምሰብእ ንፈርሆሙ ለሕዝብ እስመ ከመ ነቢይ ይሬእይዎ ለዮሐንስ።
But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.”
21:27
καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ Ἰησοῦ εἶπαν· οὐκ οἴδαμεν. ἔφη αὐτοῖς καὶ αὐτός· οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ.
Et respondentes Jesu, dixerunt : Nescimus. Ait illis et ipse : Nec ego dico vobis in qua potestate haec facio.
ወአውሥእዎ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤልዎ ኢነአምር ወይቤሎሙ ውእቱኒ አነሂ ኢያየድዐክሙ በአይ ሥልጣን እገብር ዘንተ።
They answered Jesus, and said, “We don’t know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:28
Τί δὲ ὑμῖν δοκεῖ; ἄνθρωπος εἶχεν τέκνα δύο· προσελθὼν τῷ πρώτῳ εἶπεν· τέκνον, ὕπαγε σήμερον ἐργάζου ἐν τῷ ἀμπελῶνι.
Quid autem vobis videtur ? Homo quidam habebat duos filios, et accedens ad primum, dixit : Fili, vade hodie, operare in vinea mea.
ወምንተ ትብሉ አሐዱ ብእሲ ቦቱ ክልኤቱ ደቂቅ አኀው ወይቤሎ ለቀዳማዊ ወልድየ ሑር ተቀነይ ዮም ውስተ ዐጸደ ወይንየ።
But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’
21:29
ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν· οὐ θέλω, ὕστερον μεταμεληθεὶς ἀπῆλθεν.
Ille autem respondens, ait : Nolo. Postea autem, poenitentia motus, abiit.
ወአውሥአ ወይቤ ኦሆ እግዚእየ ወኢሖረ።
He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.
21:30
προσελθὼν δὲ τῷ ἑτέρῳ εἶπεν ὡσαύτως. ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν· ἐγώ, κύριε· καὶ οὐκ ἀπῆλθεν.
Accedens autem ad alterum, dixit similiter. At ille respondens, ait : Eo, domine, et non ivit :
ወለካልኡኒ ዘይንእስ ይቤሎ ከማሁ ወአውሥአ ወይቤ እንብየ ወእምድኅረዝ ነስሐ ወሖረ።
He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I’m going, sir,’ but he didn’t go.
21:31
τίς ἐκ τῶν δύο ἐποίησεν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρός; λέγουσιν· ὁ πρῶτος. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οἱ τελῶναι καὶ αἱ πόρναι προάγουσιν ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ.
quis ex duobus fecit voluntatem patris ? Dicunt ei : Primus. Dicit illis Jesus : Amen dico vobis, quia publicani et meretrices praecedent vos in regnum Dei.
መኑ እንከ እምክልኤሆሙ ዘገብረ ፈቃደ አቡሁ ወይቤልዎ ደኃራዊ ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ አማን እብለክሙ ከመ ኃጥኣን ወመጸብሓን ወዘማውያን ይቀድሙክሙ በዊአ ውስተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር።
Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into God’s Kingdom before you.
21:32
ἦλθεν γὰρ Ἰωάννης πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν ὁδῷ δικαιοσύνης, καὶ οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ· οἱ δὲ τελῶναι καὶ αἱ πόρναι ἐπίστευσαν αὐτῷ· ὑμεῖς δὲ ἰδόντες οὐ μετεμελήθητε ὕστερον τοῦ πιστεῦσαι αὐτῷ.
Venit enim ad vos Joannes in via justitiae, et non credidistis ei : publicani autem et meretrices crediderunt ei : vos autem videntes nec poenitentiam habuistis postea, ut crederetis ei.
እስመ መጽአ ኀቤክሙ ዮሐንስ በፍኖተ ጽድቅ ወኢአመንክምዎ ወመጸብሓንሰ ወዘማውያን አምንዎ ወአንትሙሰ ርእየክሙሂ ኢነሳሕክሙ ጥቀ ድኅረ ለአሚን ቦቱ።
For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn’t even repent afterward, that you might believe him.
21:33
Ἄλλην παραβολὴν ἀκούσατε. ἄνθρωπος ἦν οἰκοδεσπότης ὅστις ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελῶνα καὶ φραγμὸν αὐτῷ περιέθηκεν καὶ ὤρυξεν ἐν αὐτῷ ληνὸν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν πύργον, καὶ ἐξέδετο αὐτὸν γεωργοῖς, καὶ ἀπεδήμησεν.
Aliam parabolam audite : Homo erat paterfamilias, qui plantavit vineam, et sepem circumdedit ei, et fodit in ea torcular, et aedificavit turrim, et locavit eam agricolis, et peregre profectus est.
ወይቤሎሙ ካእልተ ምሳሌ ስምዑ ብእሲ በዓለ ቤት ተከለ ዐጸደ ወይን ወገብረ ሎቱ ጸቈነ ወከረየ ውስቴቱ ምክያደ ወሐነጸ ማኅፈደ ወወሀቦሙ ለዐቀብት ወነገደ።
“Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.
21:34
ὅτε δὲ ἤγγισεν ὁ καιρὸς τῶν καρπῶν, ἀπέστειλεν τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ πρὸς τοὺς γεωργοὺς λαβεῖν τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτοῦ.
Cum autem tempus fructuum appropinquasset, misit servos suos ad agricolas, ut acciperent fructus ejus.
ወአመ በጽሐ ጊዜ ፍሬሁ ፈነወ አግብርቲሁ ኀበ ዐቀብት ከመ ያምጽኡ ሎቱ እምፍሬ ወይኑ።
When the season for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive his fruit.
21:35
καὶ λαβόντες οἱ γεωργοὶ τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ ὃν μὲν ἔδειραν, ὃν δὲ ἀπέκτειναν, ὃν δὲ ἐλιθοβόλησαν.
Et agricolae, apprehensis servis ejus, alium ceciderunt, alium occiderunt, alium vero lapidaverunt.
ወአኀዝዎሙ እሉ ዐቀብት ለአግብርቲሁ ቦ ዘቀሠፉ ወቦ ዘወገሩ ወቦ ዘቀተሉ።
The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
21:36
πάλιν ἀπέστειλεν ἄλλους δούλους πλείονας τῶν πρώτων, καὶ ἐποίησαν αὐτοῖς ὡσαύτως.
Iterum misit alios servos plures prioribus, et fecerunt illis similiter.
ወእምዝ ፈነወ ካልኣነ አግብርተ እለ ይበዝኁ እምቀደምት ወኪያሆሙኒ ከማሆሙ ረሰይዎሙ።
Again, he sent other servants more than the first; and they treated them the same way.
21:37
ὕστερον δὲ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ, λέγων· ἐντραπήσονται τὸν υἱόν μου.
Novissime autem misit ad eos filium suum, dicens : Verebuntur filium meum.
ወድኅረ ፈነወ ኀቤሆሙ ወልዶ እንዘ ይብል የኀፍርዎ ለወልድየሰ።
But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
21:38
οἱ δὲ γεωργοὶ ἰδόντες τὸν υἱὸν εἶπον ἐν ἑαυτοῖς· οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ κληρονόμος· δεῦτε ἀποκτείνωμεν αὐτὸν καὶ σχῶμεν τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ.
Agricolae autem videntes filium dixerunt intra se : Hic est haeres, venite, occidamus eum, et habebimus haereditatem ejus.
ወሶበ ርእይዎ እሉ ዐቀብት ለወልዱ ይቤሉ በበይናቲሆሙ ነዋ ዝ ውእቱ ወራሲሁ ንዑ ንቅትሎ ወንርከብ ርስቶ።
But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and seize his inheritance.’
21:39
καὶ λαβόντες αὐτὸν ἐξέβαλον ἔξω τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος καὶ ἀπέκτειναν.
Et apprehensum eum ejecerunt extra vineam, et occiderunt.
ወነሥእዎ ወአውፅእዎ አፍኣ እምዐጸደ ወይን ወቀተልዎ።
So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard, then killed him.
21:40
ὅταν οὖν ἔλθῃ ὁ κύριος τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος, τί ποιήσει τοῖς γεωργοῖς ἐκείνοις;
Cum ergo venerit dominus vineae, quid faciet agricolis illis ?
ወአመ መጽአ በዓለ ዐጸደ ወይን ምንተ እንከ ይሬስዮሙ ለእሉ ዐቀብት።
When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”
21:41
λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· κακοὺς κακῶς ἀπολέσει αὐτούς, καὶ τὸν ἀμπελῶνα ἐκδώσεται ἄλλοις γεωργοῖς, οἵτινες ἀποδώσουσιν αὐτῷ τοὺς καρποὺς ἐν τοῖς καιροῖς αὐτῶν.
Aiunt illi : Malos male perdet : et vineam suam locabit aliis agricolis, qui reddant ei fructum temporibus suis.
ወይቤልዎ በእኪት ይቀትሎሙ ለእኩያን ወወይኖሂ ይሁብ ለካልኣን ዐቀብት እለ ይሁብዎ ፍሬሁ በበጊዜሁ።
They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers who will give him the fruit in its season.”
21:42
λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ἐν ταῖς γραφαῖς· λίθον ὃν ἀπεδοκίμασαν οἱ οἰκοδομοῦντες οὗτος ἐγενήθη εἰς κεφαλὴν γωνίας· παρὰ κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη, καὶ ἔστιν θαυμαστὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν;
Dicit illis Jesus : Numquam legistis in Scripturis : Lapidem quem reprobaverunt aedificantes, hic factus est in caput anguli : a Domino factum est istud, et est mirabile in oculis nostris ?
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ አልቦሁ አመ አንበብክሙ ውስተ መጻሕፍት «እብን እንተ መነንዋ ነደቅት ይእቲ ኮነት ውስተ ርእሰ ማዕዘንት እምኀበ እግዚአብሔር ኮነት ዛቲ ወነካር ይእቲ ለአዕይንቲነ።»
Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?
21:43
διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἀρθήσεται ἀφ’ ὑμῶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ δοθήσεται ἔθνει ποιοῦντι τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῆς.
Ideo dico vobis, quia auferetur a vobis regnum Dei, et dabitur genti facienti fructus ejus.
በእንተ ዝንቱ እብለክሙ ከመ ትትሀየድ እምኔክሙ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ወትትወሀብ ለካልኣን እለ ይገብሩ ፍሬሃ።
“Therefore I tell you, God’s Kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.
21:44—
Et qui ceciderit super lapidem istum, confringetur : super quem vero ceciderit, conteret eum.
ወዘሰ ወድቀ ዲበ ይእቲ እብን ይትቀጠቀጥ ወለዘሂ ወድቀት ዲቤሁ ተሐርጾ።
He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”
21:45
ἀκούσαντες δὲ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι τὰς παραβολὰς αὐτοῦ ἔγνωσαν ὅτι περὶ αὐτῶν λέγει·
Et cum audissent principes sacerdotum et pharisaei parabolas ejus, cognoverunt quod de ipsis diceret.
ወሰሚዖሙ ሊቃነ ካህናት ወፈሪሳውያን ምሳልያቲሁ አእመሩ ከመ በእንቲኣሆሙ ይብል፤
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.
21:46
καὶ ζητοῦντες αὐτὸν κρατῆσαι ἐφοβήθησαν τοὺς ὄχλους, ἐπεὶ εἰς προφήτην αὐτὸν εἶχον.
Et quaerentes eum tenere, timuerunt turbas : quoniam sicut prophetam eum habebant.
ወእንዘ ይፈቅዱ የአኀዝዎ ፈርህዎሙ ለሕዝብ እስመ ከመ ነቢይ ውእቱ በኀቤሆሙ።
When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.
