8:1
Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ καθεξῆς καὶ αὐτὸς διώδευεν κατὰ πόλιν καὶ κώμην κηρύσσων καὶ εὐαγγελιζόμενος τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ οἱ δώδεκα σὺν αὐτῷ,
Et factum est deinceps, et ipse iter faciebat per civitates, et castella praedicans, et evangelizans regnum Dei : et duodecim cum illo,
ወእምዝ በሳኒታ አንሶሰወ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ውስተ አህጉር ወአዕጸዳት ወሰበከ ሎሙ ወመሀሮሙ በእንተ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ወምስሌሁ ዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ አርዳኢሁ።
Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,
8:2
καὶ γυναῖκές τινες αἳ ἦσαν τεθεραπευμέναι ἀπὸ πνευμάτων πονηρῶν καὶ ἀσθενειῶν, Μαρία ἡ καλουμένη Μαγδαληνή, ἀφ’ ἧς δαιμόνια ἑπτὰ ἐξεληλύθει,
et mulieres aliquae, quae erant curatae a spiritibus malignis et infirmantibus : Maria, quae vocatur Magdalene, de qua septem daemonia exierant,
ወአንስትኒ እለ አሕየዎን እምአጋንንት እኩያን ወእምደዌሆን ወእማንቱ ማርያም እንተ ይብልዋ መግደላዊት እንተ ሰብዐቱ አጋንንት ወፅኡ እምኔሃ።
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;
8:3
καὶ Ἰωάννα γυνὴ Χουζᾶ ἐπιτρόπου Ἡρῴδου καὶ Σουσάννα καὶ ἕτεραι πολλαί, αἵτινες διηκόνουν αὐτοῖς ἐκ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐταῖς.
et Joanna uxor Chusae procuratoris Herodis, et Susanna, et aliae multae, quae ministrabant ei de facultatibus suis.
ወዮሐና ብእሲተ ኩዛ መጋቢሁ ለሄሮድስ ወሶስና ወካልኣትሂ ብዙኃት እለ ተልእካሁ በንዋዮን።
and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.
8:4
Συνιόντος δὲ ὄχλου πολλοῦ καὶ τῶν κατὰ πόλιν ἐπιπορευομένων πρὸς αὐτὸν εἶπεν διὰ παραβολῆς·
Cum autem turba plurima convenirent, et de civitatibus properarent ad eum, dixit per similitudinem :
ወእንዘ ያጸምዕዎ ኵሉ ሕዝብ ወእለሂ መጽኡ ኀቤሁ እምኵሉ አህጉር ይቤሎሙ ምሳሌ እንተ ከመዝ።
When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:
8:5
ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτὸν ὃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν, καὶ κατεπατήθη καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατέφαγεν αὐτό·
Exiit qui seminat, seminare semen suum. Et dum seminat, aliud cecidit secus viam, et conculcatum est, et volucres caeli comederunt illud.
ወፈረ ዘይዘርዕ ከመ ይዝራዕ ዘርዖ ወእንዘ ይዘርዕ ቦ ዘወድቀ ውስተ ፍኖት ወመጽኡ ሰብእ ወኬድዎ ወበልዕዎ አዕዋፈ ሰማይ።
“The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.
8:6
καὶ ἕτερον κατέπεσεν ἐπὶ τὴν πέτραν, καὶ φυὲν ἐξηράνθη διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν ἰκμάδα·
Et aliud cecidit supra petram : et natum aruit, quia non habebat humorem.
ወቦ ዘወድቀ ውስተ ኰኵሕ ወበቍሎ የብሰ በጊዜሃ እስመ አልቦ ሥርው።
Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
8:7
καὶ ἕτερον ἔπεσεν ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀκανθῶν, καὶ συμφυεῖσαι αἱ ἄκανθαι ἀπέπνιξαν αὐτό·
Et aliud cecidit inter spinas, et simul exortae spinae suffocaverunt illud.
ወቦ ዘወድቀ ማእከለ ሦክ ወበቊሎ ጠበቆ ሦክ።
Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.
8:8
καὶ ἕτερον ἔπεσεν εἰς τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθήν, καὶ φυὲν ἐποίησεν καρπὸν ἑκατονταπλασίονα. ταῦτα λέγων ἐφώνει· ὁ ἔχων ὦτα ἀκούειν ἀκουέτω.
Et aliud cecidit in terram bonam : et ortum fecit fructum centuplum. Haec dicens clamabat : Qui habet aures audiendi, audiat.
ወቦ ዘወድቀ ውስተ ምድር ሠናይት ወበቈለሂ ወፈረየሂ ምእተ ምክዕቢተ ወዘንተ ብሂሎ ይቤሎሙ ዘቦ ዕዝን ሰሚዐ ለይስማዕ።
Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
8:9
Ἐπηρώτων δὲ αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ τίς αὕτη εἴη ἡ παραβολή.
Interrogabant autem eum discipuli ejus, quae esset haec parabola.
ወተስእልዎ አርዳኢሁ ወይቤልዎ ምንትኑ ይእቲ ዛቲ ምሳሌ።
Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”
8:10
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· ὑμῖν δέδοται γνῶναι τὰ μυστήρια τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ, τοῖς δὲ λοιποῖς ἐν παραβολαῖς, ἵνα βλέποντες μὴ βλέπωσιν καὶ ἀκούοντες μὴ συνιῶσιν.
Quibus ipse dixit : Vobis datum est nosse mysterium regni Dei, ceteris autem in parabolis : ut videntes non videant, et audientes non intelligant.
ወይቤሎሙ ለክሙ ተውህበ ታእምሩ ምሥጢራ ለመንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ወለእልክቱሰ በምሳሌ ከመ ርእዮሙኒ ኢይርአዩ ወሰሚዖሙኒ ኢይስምዑ ወኢይለብዉ።
He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’
8:11
ἔστιν δὲ αὕτη ἡ παραβολή. ὁ σπόρος ἐστὶν ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ.
Est autem haec parabola : Semen est verbum Dei.
ወከመዝ ይእቲ ምሳሌሃ ዘርዕሰ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ውእቱ።
“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
8:12
οἱ δὲ παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν εἰσίν οἱ ἀκούσαντες, εἶτα ἔρχεται ὁ διάβολος καὶ αἴρει τὸν λόγον ἀπὸ τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν, ἵνα μὴ πιστεύσαντες σωθῶσιν.
Qui autem secus viam, hi sunt qui audiunt : deinde venit diabolus, et tollit verbum de corde eorum, ne credentes salvi fiant.
ወዘሰ ውስተ ፍኖት እሉ እሙንቱ እለ ይሰምዑ ቃለ ወይመጽእ ሰይጣን ወይነሥኦ ለቃል እምልቦሙ ከመ ኢይእመኑ ወኢይሕየዉ።
Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
8:13
οἱ δὲ ἐπὶ τὴν πέτραν οἳ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν μετὰ χαρᾶς δέχονται τὸν λόγον, καὶ οὗτοι ῥίζαν οὐκ ἔχουσιν, οἳ πρὸς καιρὸν πιστεύουσιν καὶ ἐν καιρῷ πειρασμοῦ ἀφίστανται.
Nam qui supra petram, qui cum audierint, cum gaudio suscipiunt verbum : et hi radices non habent : qui ad tempus credunt, et in tempore tentationis recedunt.
ወዘሰ ውስተ ኰኵሕ እለ ሰሚዖሙ ይትዌከፍዎ ለነገር በፍሥሓ ወባሕቱ ሥርው አልቦሙ ለሶቤሃ ዳእሙ የአምኑ ወእምከመ ተመንደቡ የዐልዉ።
Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.
8:14
τὸ δὲ εἰς τὰς ἀκάνθας πεσόν, οὗτοί εἰσίν οἱ ἀκούσαντες, καὶ ὑπὸ μεριμνῶν καὶ πλούτου καὶ ἡδονῶν τοῦ βίου πορευόμενοι συνπνίγονται καὶ οὐ τελεσφοροῦσιν.
Quod autem in spinas cecidit : hi sunt qui audierunt, et a sollicitudinibus, et divitiis, et voluptatibus vitae euntes, suffocantur, et non referunt fructum.
ወዘሰ ውስተ ሦክ ወድቀ እሉ እሙንቱ እለ ይሰምዑ ቃለ ወኅሊና ብዕል ወትካዘ መንበርት ወሐውዘ ተድላ ወፈጊዕ ያጠውቆሙ ወኢይገብሩ።
What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.
8:15
τὸ δὲ ἐν τῇ καλῇ γῇ, οὗτοί εἰσίν οἵτινες ἐν καρδίᾳ καλῇ καὶ ἀγαθῇ ἀκούσαντες τὸν λόγον κατέχουσιν καὶ καρποφοροῦσιν ἐν ὑπομονῇ.
Quod autem in bonam terram : hi sunt qui in corde bono et optimo audientes verbum retinent, et fructum afferunt in patientia.
ወዘሰ ውስተ ምድር ሠናይት እሉ እሙንቱ እለ ይሰምዑ ቃለ በሠናይ ልብ ወየዐቅብዎ ወበጥቡዕ ልብ ይትዔገሡ ወያጠብዑ ወይፈርዩ።
Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.
8:16
Οὐδεὶς δὲ λύχνον ἅψας καλύπτει αὐτὸν σκεύει ἢ ὑποκάτω κλίνης τίθησιν, ἀλλ’ ἐπὶ λυχνίας τίθησιν, ἵνα οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι βλέπωσιν τὸ φῶς.
Nemo autem lucernam accendens, operit eam vase, aut subtus lectum ponit : sed supra candelabrum ponit, ut intrantes videant lumen.
ወአልቦ ዘያኀቱ ማኅቶተ ወይከድና ንዋየ ወያነብራ ታሕተ ዐራት ዘእንበለ ዲበ ተቅዋማ ከመ ይርአዩ ብርሃነ እለ ያንሶስዉ።
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
8:17
οὐ γάρ ἐστιν κρυπτὸν ὃ οὐ φανερὸν γενήσεται, οὐδὲ ἀπόκρυφον ὃ οὐ μὴ γνωσθῇ καὶ εἰς φανερὸν ἔλθῃ.
Non est enim occultum, quod non manifestetur : nec absconditum, quod non cognoscatur, et in palam veniat.
ወአልቦ ኅቡእ ዘኢይትከሠት ወአልቦ ክዱን ዘኢያስተርኢ ወገሃደ ይከውን።
For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
8:18
βλέπετε οὖν πῶς ἀκούετε· ὃς ἂν γὰρ ἔχῃ, δοθήσεται αὐτῷ, καὶ ὃς ἂν μὴ ἔχῃ, καὶ ὃ δοκεῖ ἔχειν ἀρθήσεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ.
Videte ergo quomodo audiatis ? Qui enim habet, dabitur illi : et quicumque non habet, etiam quod putat se habere, auferetur ab illo.
ወአእምሩ እንከ ዘከመ ትሰምዑ እስመ ለዘቦ ይሁብዎ ወለዘሰ አልቦ እለሂ ቦ የሀይድዎ።
Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”
8:19
Παρεγένετο δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο συντυχεῖν αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον.
Venerunt autem ad illum mater et fratres ejus, et non poterant adire eum prae turba.
ወመጽኡ ኀቤሁ እሙ ወአኀዊሁ ወስእኑ ረኪቦቶ እስመ ጽፉቅ ሰብእ።
His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.
8:20
ἀπηγγέλη δὲ αὐτῷ ὅτι ἡ μήτηρ σου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί σου ἑστήκασιν ἔξω ἰδεῖν σε θέλοντες.
Et nuntiatum est illi : Mater tua et fratres tui stant foris, volentes te videre.
ወይቤልዎ እምከ ወአኀዊከ አፍኣ ይቀውሙ ወይፈቅዱ ይርአዩከ።
Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”
8:21
ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· μήτηρ μου καὶ ἀδελφοί μου οὗτοί εἰσίν οἱ τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ ἀκούοντες καὶ ποιοῦντες.
Qui respondens, dixit ad eos : Mater mea et fratres mei hi sunt, qui verbum Dei audiunt et faciunt.
ወአውሥአ ወይቤሎሙ እምየ ወአኀውየ እሉ እሙንቱ እለ ይሰምዑ ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ወይገብሩ።
But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”
8:22
Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν μιᾷ τῶν ἡμερῶν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐνέβη εἰς πλοῖον καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς· διέλθωμεν εἰς τὸ πέραν τῆς λίμνης· καὶ ἀνήχθησαν.
Factum est autem in una dierum : et ipse ascendit in naviculam, et discipuli ejus, et ait ad illos : Transfretemus trans stagnum. Et ascenderunt.
ወኮነ በአሐቲ ዕለት ዐርገ ውእቱ ውስተ ሐመር ወአርዳኢሁኒ ወይቤሎሙ ንዑ ንዕዱ ማዕዶተ ቀላይ ወሖሩ።
Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.
8:23
πλεόντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἀφύπνωσεν· καὶ κατέβη λαῖλαψ ἀνέμου εἰς τὴν λίμνην, καὶ συνεπληροῦντο καὶ ἐκινδύνευον.
Et navigantibus illis, obdormivit, et descendit procella venti in stagnum, et complebantur, et periclitabantur.
ወእንዘ የሐውሩ ኖመ ወመጽአ ነፋሰ ዐውሎ ውስተ ባሕር ወመልአ ማየ ሐመሮሙ ወተመንደቡ።
But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.
8:24
προσελθόντες δὲ διήγειραν αὐτὸν λέγοντες· ἐπιστάτα ἐπιστάτα, ἀπολλύμεθα. ὁ δὲ διεγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τῷ ἀνέμῳ καὶ τῷ κλύδωνι τοῦ ὕδατος· καὶ ἐπαύσαντο, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη.
Accedentes autem suscitaverunt eum, dicentes : Praeceptor, perimus. At ille surgens, increpavit ventum, et tempestatem aquae, et cessavit : et facta est tranquillitas.
ወሖሩ ወአንቅህዎ ወይቤልዎ ኦ ሊቅ አድኀነነ ከመ ኢንሙት ወተንሥአ ወገሠጾሙ ለነፋሳትኒ ወለማዕበለ ባሕርኒ ወአርመሙ ወኮነ ዛኅነ ዐቢየ።
They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.
8:25
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς· ποῦ ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν; φοβηθέντες δὲ ἐθαύμασαν, λέγοντες πρὸς ἀλλήλους· τίς ἄρα οὗτός ἐστιν, ὅτι καὶ τοῖς ἀνέμοις ἐπιτάσσει καὶ τῷ ὕδατι, καὶ ὑπακούουσιν αὐτῷ;
Dixit autem illis : Ubi est fides vestra ? Qui timentes, mirati sunt ad invicem, dicentes : Quis putas hic est, quia et ventis, et mari imperat, et obediunt ei ?
ወይቤሎሙ አይቴኑ ሃይማኖትክሙ ወፈርሁ ወአንከሩ ወይቤሉ በበይናቲሆሙ መኑ እንጋ ውእቱ ዝንቱ ዘይትኤዘዙ ሎቱ ባሕርኒ ወነፋሳትኒ።
He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”
8:26
Καὶ κατέπλευσαν εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν Γεργεσηνῶν, ἥτις ἐστὶν ἀντιπέρα τῆς Γαλιλαίας.
Et navigaverunt ad regionem Gerasenorum, quae est contra Galilaeam.
ወእምዝ ሖረ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ በሐመር ወነገዱ ብሔረ ጌርጌሴኖን ዘአንጻረ ማዕዶተ ገሊላ።
Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
8:27
ἐξελθόντι δὲ αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὑπήντησεν ἀνήρ τις ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ἔχων δαιμόνια, καὶ χρόνῳ ἱκανῷ οὐκ ἐνεδύσατο ἱμάτιον, καὶ ἐν οἰκίᾳ οὐκ ἔμενεν ἀλλ’ ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν.
Et cum egressus esset ad terram, occurrit illi vir quidam, qui habebat daemonium jam temporibus multis, et vestimento non induebatur, neque in domo manebat, sed in monumentis.
ወወሪዶሙ ምድረ ተቀበሎ ብእሲ ዘጋኔን ወፂኦ እምሀገር ወጕንዱይ መዋዕል እምዘኢለብሰ ልብሶ ወኢቦአ ቤተ ዘእንበለ ዳእሙ ይነብር ውስተ መቃብር።
When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.
8:28
ἰδὼν δὲ τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀνακράξας προσέπεσεν αὐτῷ καὶ φωνῇ μεγάλῃ εἶπεν· τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ υἱὲ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ὑψίστου; δέομαί σου, μή με βασανίσῃς.
Is, ut vidit Jesum, procidit ante illum : et exclamans voce magna, dixit : Quid mihi et tibi est, Jesu Fili Dei Altissimi ? obsecro te, ne me torqueas.
ወሶበ ርእዮ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ከልሐ ወሮጸ ወሰገደ ሎቱ ወዐውየወ በዐቢይ ቃል ወይቤ ምንት ብየ ምስሌከ ኢየሱስ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ልዑል ወአስተብቍዖ ኢይሣቅዮ።
When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”
8:29
παρήγγελλεν γὰρ τῷ πνεύματι τῷ ἀκαθάρτῳ ἐξελθεῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου· πολλοῖς γὰρ χρόνοις συνηρπάκει αὐτόν, καὶ ἐδεσμεύετο ἁλύσεσιν καὶ πέδαις φυλασσόμενος, καὶ διαρρήσσων τὰ δεσμὰ ἠλαύνετο ὑπὸ τοῦ δαιμονίου εἰς τὰς ἐρήμους.
Praecipiebat enim spiritui immundo ut exiret ab homine. Multis enim temporibus arripiebat illum, et vinciebatur catenis, et compedibus custoditus. Et ruptis vinculis agebatur a daemonio in deserta.
እስመ አዘዞ ለውእቱ ጋኔን እኩይ ይፃእ እምላዕለ ውእቱ ብእሲ እስመ ዘልፈ ያአብዶ ወይሞቅሕዎ በመዋቅሕት ወየዐቅብዎ ደቅ ወይሰብር መዋቅሕቲሁ ወያረውጾ ጋኔኑ ውስተ ገዳም።
For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
8:30
ἐπηρώτησεν δὲ αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· τί σοι ὄνομά ἐστιν; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, λεγιών, ὅτι εἰσῆλθεν δαιμόνια πολλὰ εἰς αὐτόν.
Interrogavit autem illum Jesus, dicens : Quod tibi nomen est ? At ille dixit : Legio : quia intraverant daemonia multa in eum.
ወተስእሎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ መኑ ስምከ ወይቤሎ ሌጌዎን ስምየ እስመ ብዙኃን አጋንንት አኀዝዎ።
Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.
8:31
καὶ παρεκάλουν αὐτὸν ἵνα μὴ ἐπιτάξῃ αὐτοῖς εἰς τὴν ἄβυσσον ἀπελθεῖν.
Et rogabant illum ne imperaret illis ut in abyssum irent.
ወአስተብቍዕዎ ከመ ኢይፈንዎሙ ይረዱ ውስተ ሲኦል።
They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.
8:32
ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ ἀγέλη χοίρων ἱκανῶν βοσκομένων ἐν τῷ ὄρει, καὶ παρεκάλεσαν αὐτὸν ἵνα ἐπιτρέψῃ αὐτοῖς εἰς ἐκείνους εἰσελθεῖν. καὶ ἐπέτρεψεν αὐτοῖς.
Erat autem ibi grex porcorum multorum pascentium in monte : et rogabant eum, ut permitteret eis in illos ingredi. Et permisit illis.
ወቦ ህየ መራዕየ አሕርው ብዙኅ ይትረዐይ ውስተ ደብር ወአስተብቍዕዎ ከመ ያብሖሙ ይባኡ ላእለ አሕርው ወአብሖሙ።
Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.
8:33
ἐξελθόντα δὲ τὰ δαιμόνια ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰσῆλθον εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, καὶ ὥρμησεν ἡ ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν λίμνην καὶ ἀπεπνίγη.
Exierunt ergo daemonia ab homine, et intraverunt in porcos : et impetu abiit grex per praeceps in stagnum, et suffocatus est.
ወወፂኦሙ እሙንቱ አጋንንት እምላዕለ ውእቱ ብእሲ ቦኡ ላዕለ አሕርው ወአብዱ ኵሉ መራዕየ አሕርው ወወድቁ እንተ ጸድፍ ወውስተ ቀላይ ወሞቱ።
The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
8:34
ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ βόσκοντες τὸ γεγονὸς ἔφυγον καὶ ἀπήγγειλαν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἀγρούς.
Quod ut viderunt factum qui pascebant, fugerunt, et nuntiaverunt in civitatem et in villas.
ወርእዮሙ ኖሎት ዘኮነ ጐዩ ወሖሩ ወአተዉ ወዜነዉ ለአህጉር ወለአዕጻዳት።
When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.
8:35
ἐξῆλθον δὲ ἰδεῖν τὸ γεγονός, καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ εὗρον καθήμενον τὸν ἄνθρωπον, ἀφ’ οὗ τὰ δαιμόνια ἐξῆλθεν, ἱματισμένον καὶ σωφρονοῦντα παρὰ τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Ἰησοῦ, καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν.
Exierunt autem videre quod factum est, et venerunt ad Jesum, et invenerunt hominem sedentem, a quo daemonia exierant, vestitum ac sana mente, ad pedes ejus, et timuerunt.
ወወፅኡ ሰብእ ከመ ይርአዩ ዘኮነ ወሖሩ ወበጽሑ ኀበ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወረከብዎ ለውእቱ ብእሲ ዘወፅኡ እምኔሁ አጋንንት እንዘ ይነብር ኀበ እገሪሁ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወልቡሰ ልብሶ ወገብኦ ልቡ ወፈርሁ።
People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
8:36
ἀπήγγειλαν δὲ αὐτοῖς οἱ ἰδόντες πῶς ἐσώθη ὁ δαιμονισθείς.
Nuntiaverunt autem illis et qui viderant, quomodo sanus factus esset a legione :
ወነገርዎሙ እለሂ ርእዩ ዘከመ ሐይወ ዘጋኔን።
Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.
8:37
καὶ ἠρώτησεν αὐτὸν ἅπαν τὸ πλῆθος τῆς περιχώρου τῶν Γεργεσηνῶν ἀπελθεῖν ἀπ’ αὐτῶν, ὅτι φόβῳ μεγάλῳ συνείχοντο· αὐτὸς δὲ ἐμβὰς εἰς πλοῖον ὑπέστρεψεν.
et rogaverunt illum omnis multitudo regionis Gerasenorum ut discederet ab ipsis : quia magno timore tenebantur. Ipse autem ascendens navim, reversus est.
ወአስተብቍዕዎ ኵሎሙ ሰብአ አድያም ዘጌርጌሴኖን ወይቤልዎ ከመ ይሑር እምኀቤሆሙ እስመ ፍርሀት ዐቢይ አኀዞሙ ወዐርገ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ሐመረ ወተመይጠ።
All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.
8:38
ἐδέετο δὲ αὐτοῦ ὁ ἀνὴρ ἀφ’ οὗ ἐξεληλύθει τὰ δαιμόνια, εἶναι σὺν αὐτῷ· ἀπέλυσεν δὲ αὐτὸν λέγων·
Et rogabat illum vir, a quo daemonia exierant, ut cum eo esset. Dimisit autem eum Jesus, dicens :
ወአስተብቍዖ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ውእቱ ብእሲ ዘወፅኡ እምኔሁ አጋንንት ከመ ይሑር ምስሌሁ ወፈነዎ ወይቤሎ።
But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
8:39
ὑπόστρεφε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου, καὶ διηγοῦ ὅσα σοι ἐποίησεν ὁ θεός. καὶ ἀπῆλθεν, καθ’ ὅλην τὴν πόλιν κηρύσσων ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς.
Redi in domum tuam, et narra quanta tibi fecit Deus. Et abiit per universam civitatem, praedicans quanta illi fecisset Jesus.
እቱ ቤተከ ወንግር ኵሎ ዘገብረ ለከ እግዚአብሔር ወሖረ ውስተ ኵሉ አህጉር ወነገረ ኵሎ ዘገብረ ሎቱ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ።
“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
8:40
Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ὑποστρέφειν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀπεδέξατο αὐτὸν ὁ ὄχλος· ἦσαν γὰρ πάντες προσδοκῶντες αὐτόν.
Factum est autem cum rediisset Jesus, excepit illum turba : erunt enim omnes exspectantes eum.
ወሶበ ተመይጠ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ተቀበልዎ ሕዝብ ኅቡረ እስመ ኮኑ ኵሎሙ ይጸንሕዎ።
When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
8:41
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἦλθεν ἀνὴρ ᾧ ὄνομα Ἰάειρος, καὶ αὐτὸς ἄρχων τῆς συναγωγῆς ὑπῆρχεν· καὶ πεσὼν παρὰ τοὺς πόδας Ἰησοῦ παρεκάλει αὐτὸν εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ,
Et ecce venit vir, cui nomen Jairus, et ipse princeps synagogae erat : et cecidit ad pedes Jesu, rogans eum ut intraret in domum ejus,
ወመጽአ ብእሲ ዘስሙ ኢያኢሮስ ወውእቱ መጋቤ ምኵራብ ወሰገደ ሎቱ ታሕተ እገሪሁ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወአስተብቍዖ ይባእ ቤቶ።
Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,
8:42
ὅτι θυγάτηρ μονογενὴς ἦν αὐτῷ ὡς ἐτῶν δώδεκα καὶ αὐτὴ ἀπέθνῃσκεν. ἐν δὲ τῷ ὑπάγειν αὐτὸν οἱ ὄχλοι συνέπνιγον αὐτόν.
quia unica filia erat ei fere annorum duodecim, et haec moriebatur. Et contigit, dum iret, a turba comprimebatur.
እስመ ቦቱ አሐቲ ወለት ዘዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ ክረምታ ወይእቲ አልጸቀት ትሙት።
for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.
8:43
καὶ γυνὴ οὖσα ἐν ῥύσει αἵματος ἀπὸ ἐτῶν δώδεκα, ἥτις ἰατροῖς προσαναλώσασα ὅλον τὸν βίον οὐκ ἴσχυσεν ἀπ’ οὐδενὸς θεραπευθῆναι,
Et mulier quaedam erat in fluxu sanguinis ab annis duodecim, quae in medicos erogaverat omnem substantiam suam, nec ab ullo potuit curari :
ወእምዝ እንዘ የሐውር ምስሌሁ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ይትጋፍዕዎ ሰብእ ወመጽአት ብእሲት እንተ ደም ይውኅዛ እምዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ ክረምት ወአኅለቀት ኵሎ ንዋያ ለዐቀበተ ሥራይ ወአልቦ ዘክህለ ፈውሶታ።
A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,
8:44
προσελθοῦσα ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ κρασπέδου τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ, καὶ παραχρῆμα ἔστη ἡ ῥύσις τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς.
accessit retro, et tetigit fimbriam vestimenti ejus : et confestim stetit fluxus sanguinis ejus.
ወቀርበት ወቆመት እንተ ድኅሬሁ ለእግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወገሠሠት ጽንፈ ልብሱ ወቆመ ሶቤሃ ውኅዘተ ደማ፤
came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.
8:45
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς· τίς ὁ ἁψάμενός μου; ἀρνουμένων δὲ πάντων εἶπεν ὁ Πέτρος καὶ οἱ σὺν αὐτῷ· ἐπιστάτα, οἱ ὄχλοι συνέχουσίν σε καὶ ἀποθλίβουσιν.
Et ait Jesus : Quis est, qui me tetigit ? Negantibus autem omnibus, dixit Petrus, et qui cum illo erant : Praeceptor, turbae te comprimunt, et affligunt, et dicis : Quis me tetigit ?
ወይቤ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ መኑ ገሠሠኒ ወክሕዱ ኵሎሙ ወይቤልዎ ጴጥሮስ ወእለሂ ምስሌሁ ሊቅ አኮኑ ሰብእ ይጣወቅ ወይጻዐቀከ ወትብል መኑ ገሠሠኒ።
Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”
8:46
ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· ἥψατό μού τις· ἐγὼ γὰρ ἔγνων δύναμιν ἐξεληλυθυῖαν ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ.
Et dicit Jesus : Tetigit me aliquis : nam ego novi virtutem de me exiisse.
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ቦ ዘገሠሠኒ እስመ አነ አአምር ከመ ኀይል ወፅአ እምኔየ።
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”
8:47
ἰδοῦσα δὲ ἡ γυνὴ ὅτι οὐκ ἔλαθεν, τρέμουσα ἦλθεν καὶ προσπεσοῦσα αὐτῷ δι’ ἣν αἰτίαν ἥψατο αὐτοῦ ἀπήγγειλεν ἐνώπιον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ, καὶ ὡς ἰάθη παραχρῆμα.
Videns autem mulier, quia non latuit, tremens venit, et procidit ante pedes ejus : et ob quam causam tetigerit eum, indicavit coram omni populo : et quemadmodum confestim sanata sit.
ወርእያ ይእቲ ብእሲት ከመ ኢተከብተ ላቲ ርዕደት ወሖረት ወሰገደት ሎቱ ወነገረት በቅድመ ኵሉ ሕዝብ ዘከመ ሐይወት ሶቤሃ።
When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
8:48
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· θυγάτερ, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε· πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην.
At ipse dixit ei : Filia, fides tua salvam te fecit : vade in pace.
ወይቤላ እመኒ ወለትየ ሃይማኖትኪ አሕየወተኪ እትዊ በሰላም።
He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
8:49
Ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἔρχεταί τις παρὰ τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου λέγων ὅτι τέθνηκεν ἡ θυγάτηρ σου, μηκέτι σκύλλε τὸν διδάσκαλον.
Adhuc illo loquente, venit quidam ad principem synagogae, dicens ei : Quia mortua est filia tua, noli vexare illum.
ወእንዘ ዘንተ ይትናገር መጽአ አሐዱ ብእሲ እምቤተ መጋቤ ምኵራብ ወይቤሎ ወለትከሰ ሞተት ወኢታጻምዎ እንከ ለሊቅ።
While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”
8:50
ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἀκούσας ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ· μὴ φοβοῦ· μόνον πίστευσον, καὶ σωθήσεται.
Jesus autem, audito hoc verbo, respondit patri puellae : Noli timere, crede tantum, et salva erit.
ወሰሚዖ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ይቤሎ ለመጋቤ ምኵራብ ኢትፍራህ ዳእሙ ተአመን ወለትከሰ ተሐዩ።
But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”
8:51
ἐλθὼν δὲ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν οὐκ ἀφῆκεν εἰσελθεῖν τινα σὺν αὐτῷ εἰ μὴ Πέτρον καὶ Ἰωάννην καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ τὸν πατέρα τῆς παιδὸς καὶ τὴν μητέρα.
Et cum venisset domum, non permisit intrare secum quemquam, nisi Petrum, et Jacobum, et Joannem, et patrem, et matrem puellae.
ወበዊኦ ቤተ ከልአ ባዕደ ኢይባእ ምስሌሁ ወኢመኑሂ ዘእንበለ ጴጥሮስ ወያዕቆብ ወዮሐንስ ወአቡሃ ወእማ ለሕፃን።
When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.
8:52
ἔκλαιον δὲ πάντες καὶ ἐκόπτοντο αὐτήν. ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· μὴ κλαίετε· οὐκ ἀπέθανεν ἀλλὰ καθεύδει.
Flebant autem omnes, et plangebant illam. At ille dixit : Nolite flere : non est mortua puella, sed dormit.
ወኵሎሙ ይበክዩ ወያስቈቅውዋ ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኢትብክዩ ሕፃንሰ ኢሞተት አላ ትነውም።
All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”
8:53
καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ, εἰδότες ὅτι ἀπέθανεν.
Et deridebant eum, scientes quod mortua esset.
ወሰሐቅዎ እስመ አእመሩ ከመ ሞተት።
They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.
8:54
αὐτὸς δὲ κρατήσας τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς ἐφώνησεν λέγων· ἡ παῖς, ἐγείρου.
Ipse autem tenens manum ejus clamavit, dicens : Puella, surge.
ወአውፅአ አፍኣ ኵሎ ወአኀዛ እዴሃ ወጸውዓ ወይቤላ ተንሥኢ ወለትየ።
But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”
8:55
καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτῆς, καὶ ἀνέστη παραχρῆμα, καὶ διέταξεν αὐτῇ δοθῆναι φαγεῖν.
Et reversus est spiritus ejus, et surrexit continuo. Et jussit illi dari manducare.
ወሶቤሃ ገብአ ነፍሳ ወተሰውጠ መንፈሳ ላዕሌሃ ወተንሥአት ሶቤሃ ወአዘዘ የሀብዋ ዘትበልዕ።
Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.
8:56
καὶ ἐξέστησαν οἱ γονεῖς αὐτῆς· ὁ δὲ παρήγγειλεν αὐτοῖς μηδενὶ εἰπεῖν τὸ γεγονός.
Et stupuerunt parentes ejus, quibus praecepit ne alicui dicerent quod factum erat.
ወደንገፁ አቡሃ ወእማ ወከልኦሙ ኢይንግሩ ወኢለመኑሂ ዘኮነ።
Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
