22:1
כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה רֵ֖ד בֵּֽית־מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ שָׁ֔ם אֶת־הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּֽה׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος πορεύου καὶ κατάβηθι εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ λαλήσεις ἐκεῖ τὸν λόγον τοῦτον
Haec dicit Dominus : Descende in domum regis Juda, et loqueris ibi verbum hoc,
ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Yahweh said, “Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak this word there:
22:2
וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ שְׁמַ֣ע דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב עַל־כִּסֵּ֣א דָוִ֑ד אַתָּ֤ה וַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ וְעַמְּךָ֔ הַבָּאִ֖ים בַּשְּׁעָרִ֥ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου βασιλεῦ Ιουδα ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυιδ σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου καὶ ὁ λαός σου καὶ οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι ταῖς πύλαις ταύταις
et dices : Audi verbum Domini, rex Juda, qui sedes super solium David : tu et servi tui, et populus tuus, qui ingredimini per portas istas.
ወትብል፡ ስማዕ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ።
‘Hear Yahweh’s word, king of Judah, who sits on David’s throne—you, your servants, and your people who enter in by these gates.
22:3
כֹּ֣ה׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה עֲשׂ֤וּ מִשְׁפָּט֙ וּצְדָקָ֔ה וְהַצִּ֥ילוּ גָז֖וּל מִיַּ֣ד עָשׁ֑וֹק וְגֵר֩ יָת֨וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֤ה אַל־תֹּנוּ֙ אַל־תַּחְמֹ֔סוּ וְדָ֣ם נָקִ֔י אַֽל־תִּשְׁפְּכ֖וּ בַּמָּק֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος ποιεῖτε κρίσιν καὶ δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἐξαιρεῖσθε διηρπασμένον ἐκ χειρὸς ἀδικοῦντος αὐτὸν καὶ προσήλυτον καὶ ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν μὴ καταδυναστεύετε καὶ μὴ ἀσεβεῖτε καὶ αἷμα ἀθῷον μὴ ἐκχέητε ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ
Haec dicit Dominus : Facite judicium et justitiam, et liberate vi oppressum de manu calumniatoris : et advenam, et pupillum, et viduam nolite contristare, neque opprimatis inique, et sanguinem innocentem ne effundatis in loco isto.
ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Yahweh says: “Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.
22:4
כִּ֤י אִם־עָשׂוֹ֙ תַּעֲשׂ֔וּ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּ֑ה וּבָ֣אוּ בְשַׁעֲרֵ֣י הַבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּ֡ה מְלָכִים֩ יֹשְׁבִ֨ים לְדָוִ֜ד עַל־כִּסְא֗וֹ רֹֽכְבִים֙ בָּרֶ֣כֶב וּבַסּוּסִ֔ים ה֥וּא וַעֲבָדָ֖ו וְעַמּֽוֹ׃
διότι ἐὰν ποιοῦντες ποιήσητε τὸν λόγον τοῦτον καὶ εἰσελεύσονται ἐν ταῖς πύλαις τοῦ οἴκου τούτου βασιλεῖς καθήμενοι ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυιδ καὶ ἐπιβεβηκότες ἐφ’ ἁρμάτων καὶ ἵππων αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ παῖδες αὐτῶν καὶ ὁ λαὸς αὐτῶν
Si enim facientes feceritis verbum istud, ingredientur per portas domus hujus reges sedentes de genere David super thronum ejus, et ascendentes currus et equos, ipsi, et servi, et populus eorum.
ወይእዜኒ፡ እመ፡ ትገብሩ፡ ገቢረ፡ ዘ፡ ነገረ፡ ይበውዑ፡ ውስተ፡ ዛ፡ አንቀጽ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ መንበረ፡ ዳዊት።
For if you do this thing indeed, then kings sitting on David’s throne will enter in by the gates of this house, riding in chariots and on horses—they, their servants, and their people.
22:5
וְאִם֙ לֹ֣א תִשְׁמְע֔וּ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה בִּ֤י נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּֽי־לְחׇרְבָּ֥ה יִֽהְיֶ֖ה הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּֽה׃ {פ}
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ποιήσητε τοὺς λόγους τούτους κατ’ ἐμαυτοῦ ὤμοσα λέγει κύριος ὅτι εἰς ἐρήμωσιν ἔσται ὁ οἶκος οὗτος
Quod si non audieritis verba haec : in memetipso juravi, dicit Dominus, quia in solitudinem erit domus haec.
ወእመሰ፡ ኢትሰምዑ፡ ዘ፡ ነገረ፡ መሐልኩ፡ በርእስየ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ይማስን፡ ዝ፡ ቤት።
But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself,” says Yahweh, “that this house will become a desolation.”’”
22:6
כִּי־כֹ֣ה׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה עַל־בֵּית֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה גִּלְעָ֥ד אַתָּ֛ה לִ֖י רֹ֣אשׁ הַלְּבָנ֑וֹן אִם־לֹ֤א אֲשִֽׁיתְךָ֙ מִדְבָּ֔ר עָרִ֖ים לֹ֥א (נושבה) [נוֹשָֽׁבוּ]׃
ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος κατὰ τοῦ οἴκου βασιλέως Ιουδα Γαλααδ σύ μοι ἀρχὴ τοῦ Λιβάνου ἐὰν μὴ θῶ σε εἰς ἔρημον πόλεις μὴ κατοικηθησομένας
Quia haec dicit Dominus super domum regis Juda : Galaad, tu mihi caput Libani, si non posuero te solitudinem, urbes inhabitabiles !
እስመ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ቤተ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ።
For Yahweh says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
22:7
וְקִדַּשְׁתִּ֥י עָלֶ֛יךָ מַשְׁחִתִ֖ים אִ֣ישׁ וְכֵלָ֑יו וְכָֽרְתוּ֙ מִבְחַ֣ר אֲרָזֶ֔יךָ וְהִפִּ֖ילוּ עַל־הָאֵֽשׁ׃
καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπὶ σὲ ἄνδρα ὀλεθρεύοντα καὶ τὸν πέλεκυν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκκόψουσιν τὰς ἐκλεκτὰς κέδρους σου καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς τὸ πῦρ
Et sanctificabo super te, interficientem virum et arma ejus : et succident electas cedros tuas, et praecipitabunt in ignem.
ወአመጽእ፡ ላዕሌከ፡ ብእሴ፡ ዘይሴርወከ።
I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons, and they will cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
22:8
וְעָֽבְרוּ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים עַ֖ל הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֔הוּ עַל־מֶ֨ה עָשָׂ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ כָּ֔כָה לָעִ֥יר הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃
καὶ διελεύσονται ἔθνη διὰ τῆς πόλεως ταύτης καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ διὰ τί ἐποίησεν κύριος οὕτως τῇ πόλει τῇ μεγάλῃ ταύτῃ
Et pertransibunt gentes multae per civitatem hanc, et dicet unusquisque proximo suo : Quare fecit Dominus sic civitati huic grandi ?
ወይመጽኡ፡ ብዙኃን፡ አሕዛብ፡ እንተ፡ ዛ፡ ሀገር፡ ላዕለ፡ ዛ፡ ሀገር።
“Many nations will pass by this city, and they will each ask his neighbor, ‘Why has Yahweh done this to this great city?’
22:9
וְאָ֣מְר֔וּ עַ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָזְב֔וּ אֶת־בְּרִ֥ית יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֛וּ לֵאלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים וַיַּעַבְדֽוּם׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐγκατέλιπον τὴν διαθήκην κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν θεοῖς ἀλλοτρίοις καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτοῖς
Et respondebunt : Eo quod dereliquerint pactum Domini Dei sui, et adoraverint deos alienos, et servierint eis.
ወይብልዎሙ፡ እስመ፡ ኀደጉ፡ ሕገ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኮሙ።
Then they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God, worshiped other gods, and served them.’”
22:10
אַל־תִּבְכּ֣וּ לְמֵ֔ת וְאַל־תָּנֻ֖דוּ ל֑וֹ בְּכ֤וּ בָכוֹ֙ לַהֹלֵ֔ךְ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָשׁוּב֙ ע֔וֹד וְרָאָ֖ה אֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ מוֹלַדְתּֽוֹ׃
μὴ κλαίετε τὸν τεθνηκότα μηδὲ θρηνεῖτε αὐτόν κλαύσατε κλαυθμῷ τὸν ἐκπορευόμενον ὅτι οὐκ ἐπιστρέψει ἔτι καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδῃ τὴν γῆν πατρίδος αὐτοῦ
Nolite flere mortuum, neque lugeatis super eum fletu : plangite eum qui egreditur, quia non revertetur ultra, nec videbit terram nativitatis suae.
ኢትብክይዎ፡ ለዘሞተ፡ ወኢትላህውዎ።
Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.
22:11
כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָֽמַר־יְ֠הֹוָ֠ה אֶל־שַׁלֻּ֨ם בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֜הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֗ה הַמֹּלֵךְ֙ תַּ֚חַת יֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָצָ֖א מִן־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה לֹא־יָשׁ֥וּב שָׁ֖ם עֽוֹד׃
διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ Σελλημ υἱὸν Ιωσια τὸν βασιλεύοντα ἀντὶ Ιωσια τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ὃς ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου τούτου οὐκ ἀναστρέψει ἐκεῖ οὐκέτι
Quia haec dicit Dominus ad Sellum, filium Josiae, regem Juda, qui regnavit pro Josia patre suo, qui egressus est de loco isto : Non revertetur huc amplius,
እስመ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ሳሌም፡ ወልደ፡ ኢዮስያስ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ዘነግሠ፡ ህየንተ፡ ኢዮስያስ፡ አቡሁ፡ ዘወጽአ፡ እምዝ፡ ብሔር፡ ኢይገብዕ፡ እንከ፡ ህየ።
For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.
22:12
כִּ֗י בִּמְק֛וֹם אֲשֶׁר־הִגְל֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ שָׁ֣ם יָמ֑וּת וְאֶת־הָאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּ֖את לֹא־יִרְאֶ֥ה עֽוֹד׃ {ס}
ἀλλ’ ἢ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ οὗ μετῴκισα αὐτόν ἐκεῖ ἀποθανεῖται καὶ τὴν γῆν ταύτην οὐκ ὄψεται ἔτι
sed in loco ad quem transtuli eum, ibi morietur, et terram istam non videbit amplius.
እስመ፡ ይመውት፡ በብሔር፡ ኀበ፡ ፄወውዎ።
But he will die in the place where they have led him captive. He will see this land no more.”
22:13
ה֣וֹי בֹּנֶ֤ה בֵיתוֹ֙ בְּֽלֹא־צֶ֔דֶק וַעֲלִיּוֹתָ֖יו בְּלֹ֣א מִשְׁפָּ֑ט בְּרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ יַעֲבֹ֣ד חִנָּ֔ם וּפֹעֲל֖וֹ לֹ֥א יִתֶּן־לֽוֹ׃
ὦ ὁ οἰκοδομῶν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ οὐ μετὰ δικαιοσύνης καὶ τὰ ὑπερῷα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐν κρίματι παρὰ τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐργᾶται δωρεὰν καὶ τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ ἀποδώσει αὐτῷ
Vae qui aedificat domum suam in injustitia, et coenacula sua non in judicio : amicum suum opprimet frustra, et mercedem ejus non reddet ei :
አሌ፡ ሎቱ፡ ዘየሐንፅ፡ ቤቶ፡ በዐመፃ፡ ወጽርሐ፡ ዘእንበለ፡ ጽድቅ።
“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his rooms by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and doesn’t give him his hire;
22:14
הָאֹמֵ֗ר אֶבְנֶה־לִּי֙ בֵּ֣ית מִדּ֔וֹת וַעֲלִיּ֖וֹת מְרֻוָּחִ֑ים וְקָ֤רַֽע לוֹ֙ חַלּוֹנָ֔י וְסָפ֣וּן בָּאָ֔רֶז וּמָשׁ֖וֹחַ בַּשָּׁשַֽׁר׃
ᾠκοδόμησας σεαυτῷ οἶκον σύμμετρον ὑπερῷα ῥιπιστὰ διεσταλμένα θυρίσιν καὶ ἐξυλωμένα ἐν κέδρῳ καὶ κεχρισμένα ἐν μίλτῳ
qui dicit : Aedificabo mihi domum latam, et coenacula spatiosa : qui aperit sibi fenestras et facit laquearia cedrina, pingitque sinopide.
ወይቤ፡ ሐነፅኩ፡ ሊተ፡ ቤተ፡ ዘዓቢይ፡ አምጣኑ፡ ወጽርሑ።
who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house and spacious rooms,’ and cuts out windows for himself, with a cedar ceiling, and painted with red.
22:15
הֲתִֽמְלֹ֔ךְ כִּ֥י אַתָּ֖ה מְתַחֲרֶ֣ה בָאָ֑רֶז אָבִ֜יךָ הֲל֧וֹא אָכַ֣ל וְשָׁתָ֗ה וְעָשָׂ֤ה מִשְׁפָּט֙ וּצְדָקָ֔ה אָ֖ז ט֥וֹב לֽוֹ׃
μὴ βασιλεύσεις ὅτι σὺ παροξύνῃ ἐν Αχαζ τῷ πατρί σου οὐ φάγονται καὶ οὐ πίονται βέλτιον ἦν σε ποιεῖν κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην καλήν
Numquid regnabis quoniam confers te cedro ? pater tuus numquid non comedit et bibit, et fecit judicium et justitiam tunc cum bene erat ei ?
ቦኑ፡ ትነግሥ።
“Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
22:16
דָּ֛ן דִּין־עָנִ֥י וְאֶבְי֖וֹן אָ֣ז ט֑וֹב הֲלוֹא־הִ֛יא הַדַּ֥עַת אֹתִ֖י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃
οὐκ ἔγνωσαν οὐκ ἔκριναν κρίσιν ταπεινῷ οὐδὲ κρίσιν πένητος οὐ τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ μὴ γνῶναί σε ἐμέ λέγει κύριος
Judicavit causam pauperis et egeni in bonum suum : numquid non ideo quia cognovit me ? dicit Dominus.
ፍታሕ፡ ፍትሐ፡ ነዳይ፡ ወምስኪን።
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; so then it was well. Wasn’t this to know me?” says Yahweh.
22:17
כִּ֣י אֵ֤ין עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ וְלִבְּךָ֔ כִּ֖י אִם־עַל־בִּצְעֶ֑ךָ וְעַ֤ל דַּֽם־הַנָּקִי֙ לִשְׁפּ֔וֹךְ וְעַל־הָעֹ֥שֶׁק וְעַל־הַמְּרוּצָ֖ה לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ {ס}
ἰδοὺ οὔκ εἰσιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου οὐδὲ ἡ καρδία σου καλή ἀλλ’ εἰς τὴν πλεονεξίαν σου καὶ εἰς τὸ αἷμα τὸ ἀθῷον τοῦ ἐκχέειν αὐτὸ καὶ εἰς ἀδίκημα καὶ εἰς φόνον τοῦ ποιεῖν
Tui vero oculi et cor ad avaritiam, et ad sanguinem innocentem fundendum, et ad calumniam, et ad cursum mali operis.
ናሁ፡ ኢኮነ፡ ሠናይ፡ አዕይንቲከ፡ ወልብከሂ።
But your eyes and your heart are only for your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, for oppression, and for doing violence.”
22:18
לָכֵ֞ן כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה אֶל־יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה לֹא־יִסְפְּד֣וּ ל֔וֹ ה֥וֹי אָחִ֖י וְה֣וֹי אָח֑וֹת לֹא־יִסְפְּד֣וּ ל֔וֹ ה֥וֹי אָד֖וֹן וְה֥וֹי הֹדֹֽה׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ Ιωακιμ υἱὸν Ιωσια βασιλέα Ιουδα οὐαὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἄνδρα τοῦτον οὐ μὴ κόψωνται αὐτόν ὦ ἀδελφέ οὐδὲ μὴ κλαύσονται αὐτόν οἴμμοι κύριε
Propterea haec dicit Dominus ad Joakim, filium Josiae, regem Juda : Non plangent eum : Vae frater ! et vae soror ! non concrepabunt ei : Vae domine ! et vae inclyte !
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Therefore Yahweh says concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: “They won’t lament for him, saying, ‘Ah my brother!’ or, ‘Ah sister!’ They won’t lament for him, saying ‘Ah lord!’ or, ‘Ah his glory!’
22:19
קְבוּרַ֥ת חֲמ֖וֹר יִקָּבֵ֑ר סָח֣וֹב וְהַשְׁלֵ֔ךְ מֵהָ֖לְאָה לְשַׁעֲרֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ {ס}
ταφὴν ὄνου ταφήσεται συμψησθεὶς ῥιφήσεται ἐπέκεινα τῆς πύλης Ιερουσαλημ
Sepultura asini sepelietur, putrefactus et projectus extra portas Jerusalem.
ወይቀብርዎ፡ መቃብረ፡ መሪረ።
He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
22:20
עֲלִ֤י הַלְּבָנוֹן֙ וּֽצְעָ֔קִי וּבַבָּשָׁ֖ן תְּנִ֣י קוֹלֵ֑ךְ וְצַֽעֲקִי֙ מֵעֲבָרִ֔ים כִּ֥י נִשְׁבְּר֖וּ כׇּל־מְאַהֲבָֽיִךְ׃
ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸν Λίβανον καὶ κέκραξον καὶ εἰς τὴν Βασαν δὸς τὴν φωνήν σου καὶ βόησον εἰς τὸ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης ὅτι συνετρίβησαν πάντες οἱ ἐρασταί σου
Ascende Libanum, et clama, et in Basan da vocem tuam : et clama ad transeuntes, quia contriti sunt omnes amatores tui.
ዕርጊ፡ ውስተ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ወጽርሒ።
“Go up to Lebanon, and cry out. Lift up your voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim; for all your lovers have been destroyed.
22:21
דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּשַׁלְוֺתַ֔יִךְ אָמַ֖רְתְּ לֹ֣א אֶשְׁמָ֑ע זֶ֤ה דַרְכֵּךְ֙ מִנְּעוּרַ֔יִךְ כִּ֥י לֹא־שָׁמַ֖עַתְּ בְּקוֹלִֽי׃
ἐλάλησα πρὸς σὲ ἐν τῇ παραπτώσει σου καὶ εἶπας οὐκ ἀκούσομαι αὕτη ἡ ὁδός σου ἐκ νεότητός σου οὐκ ἤκουσας τῆς φωνῆς μου
Locutus sum ad te in abundantia tua, et dixisti : Non audiam : haec est via tua ab adolescentia tua, quia non audisti vocem meam.
21፡ ወነገርኩ፡ ኃሣረኪ፡ ወትቤሊ፡ እንብየ፡ ኢይሰምዕ።
I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, that you didn’t obey my voice.
22:22
כׇּל־רֹעַ֙יִךְ֙ תִּרְעֶה־ר֔וּחַ וּֽמְאַהֲבַ֖יִךְ בַּשְּׁבִ֣י יֵלֵ֑כוּ כִּ֣י אָ֤ז תֵּבֹ֙שִׁי֙ וְנִכְלַ֔מְתְּ מִכֹּ֖ל רָעָתֵֽךְ׃
πάντας τοὺς ποιμένας σου ποιμανεῖ ἄνεμος καὶ οἱ ἐρασταί σου ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ ἐξελεύσονται ὅτι τότε αἰσχυνθήσῃ καὶ ἀτιμωθήσῃ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν φιλούντων σε
Omnes pastores tuos pascet ventus, et amatores tui in captivitatem ibunt : et tunc confunderis, et erubesces ab omni malitia tua.
ለኵሎሙ፡ ኖሎትኪ፡ ነፋስ፡ ይነሥኦሙ፡ ወለመሐዛንኪ፡ ይፄውውዎሙ፡ ወትትኀፈሪ፡ ሶቤሃ፡ ወተኀሥሪ፡ እምኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ያፈቅሩኪ።
The wind will feed all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Surely then you will be ashamed and confounded for all your wickedness.
22:23
(ישבתי) [יֹשַׁבְתְּ֙] בַּלְּבָנ֔וֹן (מקננתי) [מְקֻנַּ֖נְתְּ] בָּאֲרָזִ֑ים מַה־נֵּחַנְתְּ֙ בְּבֹא־לָ֣ךְ חֲבָלִ֔ים חִ֖יל כַּיֹּלֵדָֽה׃
κατοικοῦσα ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ ἐννοσσεύουσα ἐν ταῖς κέδροις καταστενάξεις ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν σοι ὠδῖνας ὡς τικτούσης
Quae sedes in Libano, et nidificas in cedris, quomodo congemuisti cum venissent tibi dolores, quasi dolores parturientis ?
እንተ፡ ትነብር፡ ውስተ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ወታስቆቁ፡ ውስተ፡ አርዝ፡ ምንተ፡ ወሀበኪ፡ ሶበ፡ አኀዘኪ፡ ማሕምም፡ ከመ፡ እንተ፡ ትወልድ።
Inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied you will be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!
22:24
חַי־אָ֘נִי֮ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָה֒ כִּ֣י אִם־יִהְיֶ֞ה כׇּנְיָ֤הוּ בֶן־יְהֽוֹיָקִים֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה חוֹתָ֖ם עַל־יַ֣ד יְמִינִ֑י כִּ֥י מִשָּׁ֖ם אֶתְּקֶֽנְךָּ׃
ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος ἐὰν γενόμενος γένηται Ιεχονιας υἱὸς Ιωακιμ βασιλεὺς Ιουδα ἀποσφράγισμα ἐπὶ τῆς χειρὸς τῆς δεξιᾶς μου ἐκεῖθεν ἐκσπάσω σε
Vivo ego, dicit Dominus, quia si fuerit Jechonias filius Joakim regis Juda annulus in manu dextera mea, inde evellam eum,
ሕያው፡ አነ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ኢትሄሉ፡ እንከ፡ ኢኮንያን፡ ወልደ፡ ኢዮአቄም፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ማኅተመ፡ ላዕለ፡ እዴየ፡ ዘየማን፡ እንተ፡ ባቲ፡ ከደንኩከ።
“As I live,” says Yahweh, “though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, I would still pluck you from there.
22:25
וּנְתַתִּ֗יךָ בְּיַד֙ מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ וּבְיַ֛ד אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה יָג֖וֹר מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם וּבְיַ֛ד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל וּבְיַ֥ד הַכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃
καὶ παραδώσω σε εἰς χεῖρας τῶν ζητούντων τὴν ψυχήν σου ὧν σὺ εὐλαβῇ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν εἰς χεῖρας τῶν Χαλδαίων
et dabo te in manu quaerentium animam tuam, et in manu quorum tu formidas faciem, et in manu Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, et in manu Chaldaeorum :
ወአገብአከ፡ ውስተ፡ እዴሁሙ፡ ለእለ፡ የኀሥሥዋ፡ ለነፍስከ፡ ወውስተ፡ እደ፡ እለ፡ ፈራህከ፡ እምገጾሙ፡ ወውስተ፡ እደ፡ ናቡከደነፆር፡ ንጉሠ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ወውስተ፡ እደ፡ ከለዳውያን።
I would give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
22:26
וְהֵטַלְתִּ֣י אֹתְךָ֗ וְאֶֽת־אִמְּךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יְלָדַ֔תְךָ עַ֚ל הָאָ֣רֶץ אַחֶ֔רֶת אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־יֻלַּדְתֶּ֖ם שָׁ֑ם וְשָׁ֖ם תָּמֽוּתוּ׃
καὶ ἀπορρίψω σὲ καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου τὴν τεκοῦσάν σε εἰς γῆν οὗ οὐκ ἐτέχθης ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐκεῖ ἀποθανεῖσθε
et mittam te, et matrem tuam quae genuit te, in terram alienam, in qua nati non estis, ibique moriemini.
ወእዌርወከ፡ ምስለ፡ እምከ፡ እንተ፡ ወለደተከ፡ ውስተ፡ ብሔር፡ ኀበ፡ ኢተወለድክሙ፡ ቦቱ፡ ወበህየ፡ ትመውቱ።
I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.
22:27
וְעַל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֛ם מְנַשְּׂאִ֥ים אֶת־נַפְשָׁ֖ם לָשׁ֣וּב שָׁ֑ם שָׁ֖מָּה לֹ֥א יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃ {פ}
εἰς δὲ τὴν γῆν ἣν αὐτοὶ εὔχονται ταῖς ψυχαῖς αὐτῶν οὐ μὴ ἀποστρέψωσιν
Et in terram ad quam ipsi levant animam suam ut revertantur illuc, non revertentur.
ወውስተ፡ ብሔር፡ እንተ፡ ትትሜነይ፡ ነፍስክሙ፡ ኢትገብኡ፡ እንከ፡ ህየ።
But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”
22:28
הַעֶ֨צֶב נִבְזֶ֜ה נָפ֗וּץ הָאִ֤ישׁ הַזֶּה֙ כׇּנְיָ֔הוּ אִ֨ם־כְּלִ֔י אֵ֥ין חֵ֖פֶץ בּ֑וֹ מַדּ֤וּעַ הֽוּטְלוּ֙ ה֣וּא וְזַרְע֔וֹ וְהֻ֨שְׁלְכ֔וּ עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יָדָֽעוּ׃
ἠτιμώθη Ιεχονιας ὡς σκεῦος οὗ οὐκ ἔστιν χρεία αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐξερρίφη καὶ ἐξεβλήθη εἰς γῆν ἣν οὐκ ᾔδει
Numquid vas fictile atque contritum vir iste Jechonias ? numquid vas absque omni voluptate ? quare abjecti sunt ipse et semen ejus, et projecti in terram quam ignoraverunt ?
ኀሥረ፡ ኢኮንያስ፡ ወኮነ፡ ከመ፡ ግተት፡ ዘለምንትሂ፡ ኢይበቊዕ፡ ወኢይትፈቀድ፡ እስመ፡ ገደፍዎ፡ ወወረውዎ፡ ሎቱ፡ ወለዘርኡ፡ ውስተ፡ ብሔር፡ ዘኢየአምር።
Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? Is he a vessel in which no one delights? Why are they cast out, he and his offspring, and cast into a land which they don’t know?
22:29
אֶ֥רֶץ אֶ֖רֶץ אָ֑רֶץ שִׁמְעִ֖י דְּבַר־יְהֹוָֽה׃
γῆ γῆ ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου
Terra, terra, terra, audi sermonem Domini.
ምድር፡ ምድር፡ ምድር፡ ስምዒ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
O earth, earth, earth, hear Yahweh’s word!
22:30
כֹּ֣ה׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה כִּתְב֞וּ אֶת־הָאִ֤ישׁ הַזֶּה֙ עֲרִירִ֔י גֶּ֖בֶר לֹא־יִצְלַ֣ח בְּיָמָ֑יו כִּי֩ לֹ֨א יִצְלַ֜ח מִזַּרְע֗וֹ אִ֚ישׁ יֹשֵׁב֙ עַל־כִּסֵּ֣א דָוִ֔ד וּמֹשֵׁ֥ל ע֖וֹד בִּיהוּדָֽה׃ {פ}
γράψον τὸν ἄνδρα τοῦτον ἐκκήρυκτον ἄνθρωπον ὅτι οὐ μὴ αὐξηθῇ ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ καθήμενος ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυιδ ἄρχων ἔτι ἐν τῷ Ιουδα
Haec dicit Dominus : Scribe virum istum sterilem, virum qui in diebus suis non prosperabitur : nec enim erit de semine ejus vir qui sedeat super solium David, et potestatem habeat ultra in Juda.
ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸሐፊዮ፡ ለዝ፡ ብእሲ፡ እስመ፡ ኢይሤራኅ፡ በመዋዕሊሁ፡ ወኢይሤራኅ፡ እምዘርኡ፡ ዘይነብር፡ ውስተ፡ መንበረ፡ ዳዊት፡ መኰንነ፡ እንከ፡ ለይሁዳ።
Yahweh says, “Record this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no more will a man of his offspring prosper, sitting on David’s throne and ruling in Judah.”
