41:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֕י מִקֵּ֖ץ שְׁנָתַ֣יִם יָמִ֑ים וּפַרְעֹ֣ה חֹלֵ֔ם וְהִנֵּ֖ה עֹמֵ֥ד עַל ־הַיְאֹֽר ׃
ἐγένετο δὲ μετὰ δύο ἔτη ἡμερῶν Φαραω εἶδεν ἐνύπνιον ᾤετο ἑστάναι ἐπὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ
Post duos annos vidit Pharao somnium . Putabat se stare super fluvium ,
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ክልኤቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ርእየ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ሕልመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቀውም ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ፈለግ ።
At the end of two full years, Pharaoh dreamed, and behold, he stood by the river.
41:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִן ־הַיְאֹ֗ר עֹלֹת֙ שֶׁ֣בַע פָּר֔וֹת יְפ֥וֹת מַרְאֶ֖ה וּבְרִיאֹ֣ת בָּשָׂ֑ר וַתִּרְעֶ֖ינָה בָּאָֽחוּ ׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ὥσπερ ἐκ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἀνέβαινον ἑπτὰ βόες καλαὶ τῷ εἴδει καὶ ἐκλεκταὶ ταῖς σαρξὶν καὶ ἐβόσκοντο ἐν τῷ ἄχει
de quo ascendebant septem boves , pulchrae et crassae nimis : et pascebantur in locis palustribus .
ወናሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ እምነ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ የዐርጉ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ወሠናያን ፡ ወሥቡሓን ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወይትረዐዩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማዕዶት ።
Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.
41:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֞ה שֶׁ֧בַע פָּר֣וֹת אֲחֵר֗וֹת עֹל֤וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶן֙ מִן ־הַיְאֹ֔ר רָע֥וֹת מַרְאֶ֖ה וְדַקּ֣וֹת בָּשָׂ֑ר וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֛דְנָה אֵ֥צֶל הַפָּר֖וֹת עַל ־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר ׃
ἄλλαι δὲ ἑπτὰ βόες ἀνέβαινον μετὰ ταύτας ἐκ τοῦ ποταμοῦ αἰσχραὶ τῷ εἴδει καὶ λεπταὶ ταῖς σαρξὶν καὶ ἐνέμοντο παρὰ τὰς βόας παρὰ τὸ χεῖλος τοῦ ποταμοῦ
Aliae quoque septem emergebant de flumine , foedae confectaeque macie : et pascebantur in ipsa amnis ripa in locis virentibus :
ወዐርጉ ፡ ካልኣን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ እምድኅሬሆሙ ፡ ወእኩይ ፡ ራእዮሙ ፡ ወደገደግ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወይትረዐዩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ።
Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.
41:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתֹּאכַ֣לְנָה הַפָּר֗וֹת רָע֤וֹת הַמַּרְאֶה֙ וְדַקֹּ֣ת הַבָּשָׂ֔ר אֵ֚ת שֶׁ֣בַע הַפָּר֔וֹת יְפֹ֥ת הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה וְהַבְּרִיאֹ֑ת וַיִּיקַ֖ץ פַּרְעֹֽה ׃
καὶ κατέφαγον αἱ ἑπτὰ βόες αἱ αἰσχραὶ καὶ λεπταὶ ταῖς σαρξὶν τὰς ἑπτὰ βόας τὰς καλὰς τῷ εἴδει καὶ τὰς ἐκλεκτάς ἠγέρθη δὲ Φαραω
devoraveruntque eas , quarum mira species et habitudo corporum erat . Expergefactus Pharao ,
ወውሕጥዎሙ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ እለ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ራእዮሙ ፡ ወደገደግ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ለእልክቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ እለ ፡ ሥቡሕ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወሠናይ ፡ ራእዮሙ ፡ ወነቅሀ ፡ ፈርዖን ።
The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.
41:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּישָׁ֕ן וַֽיַּחֲלֹ֖ם שֵׁנִ֑ית וְהִנֵּ֣ה ׀ שֶׁ֣בַע שִׁבֳּלִ֗ים עֹל֛וֹת בְּקָנֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד בְּרִיא֥וֹת וְטֹבֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἐνυπνιάσθη τὸ δεύτερον καὶ ἰδοὺ ἑπτὰ στάχυες ἀνέβαινον ἐν πυθμένι ἑνὶ ἐκλεκτοὶ καὶ καλοί
rursum dormivit , et vidit alterum somnium : septem spicae pullulabant in culmo uno plenae atque formosae :
ወደገመ ፡ ሐሊመ ፡ ወናሁ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ዐርጉ ፡ እምነ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ሥርው ፡ ኅሩያን ፡ ወሠናየን ።
He slept and dreamed a second time; and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, healthy and good.
41:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּה֙ שֶׁ֣בַע שִׁבֳּלִ֔ים דַּקּ֖וֹת וּשְׁדוּפֹ֣ת קָדִ֑ים צֹמְח֖וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶֽן ׃
ἄλλοι δὲ ἑπτὰ στάχυες λεπτοὶ καὶ ἀνεμόφθοροι ἀνεφύοντο μετ’ αὐτούς
aliae quoque totidem spicae tenues , et percussae uredine oriebantur ,
ወናሁ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ቀጢናን ፡ ወዕቡራን ፡ ወወፅኡ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ።
Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
41:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּבְלַ֙עְנָה֙ הַשִּׁבֳּלִ֣ים הַדַּקּ֔וֹת אֵ֚ת שֶׁ֣בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִ֔ים הַבְּרִיא֖וֹת וְהַמְּלֵא֑וֹת וַיִּיקַ֥ץ פַּרְעֹ֖ה וְהִנֵּ֥ה חֲלֽוֹם ׃
καὶ κατέπιον οἱ ἑπτὰ στάχυες οἱ λεπτοὶ καὶ ἀνεμόφθοροι τοὺς ἑπτὰ στάχυας τοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺς καὶ τοὺς πλήρεις ἠγέρθη δὲ Φαραω καὶ ἦν ἐνύπνιον
devorantes omnium priorum pulchritudinem . Evigilans Pharao post quietem ,
ወውኅጥዎሙ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ቀጢናን ፡ ወዕቡራን ፡ [ለእልክቱ ፡ ፯ሰዊት ፡ ኅሩያን ፡ ወምሉኣን ፡] ወተንሥአ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወአእመረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሐለመ ።
The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.
41:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֤י בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ וַתִּפָּ֣עֶם רוּח֔וֹ וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח וַיִּקְרָ֛א אֶת ־כׇּל ־חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־חֲכָמֶ֑יהָ וַיְסַפֵּ֨ר פַּרְעֹ֤ה לָהֶם֙ אֶת ־חֲלֹמ֔וֹ וְאֵין ־פּוֹתֵ֥ר אוֹתָ֖ם לְפַרְעֹֽה ׃
ἐγένετο δὲ πρωὶ καὶ ἐταράχθη ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀποστείλας ἐκάλεσεν πάντας τοὺς ἐξηγητὰς Αἰγύπτου καὶ πάντας τοὺς σοφοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ διηγήσατο αὐτοῖς Φαραω τὸ ἐνύπνιον καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀπαγγέλλων αὐτὸ τῷ Φαραω
et facto mane , pavore perterritus , misit ad omnes conjectores Aegypti , cunctosque sapientes , et accersitis narravit somnium , nec erat qui interpretaretur .
ወኮነ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ጸብሐ ፡ ተሀውከት ፡ ነፍሱ ፡ ወለአከ ፡ ይጸውዕዎሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ መፈክራነ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ጠቢባኒሆሙ ፡ ወነገሮሙ ፡ ሕልሞ ፡ ወስእኑ ፡ ፈክሮ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ለፈርዖን ።
In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
41:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּר֙ שַׂ֣ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֔ים אֶת ־פַּרְעֹ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר אֶת ־חֲטָאַ֕י אֲנִ֖י מַזְכִּ֥יר הַיּֽוֹם ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν ὁ ἀρχιοινοχόος πρὸς Φαραω λέγων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν μου ἀναμιμνῄσκω σήμερον
Tunc demum reminiscens pincernarum magister , ait : Confiteor peccatum meum :
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ ቀዳሕያን ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ኀጢአትየ ፡ እዜከር ፡ እግዚእየ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ዮም ።
Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.
41:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ פַּרְעֹ֖ה קָצַ֣ף עַל ־עֲבָדָ֑יו וַיִּתֵּ֨ן אֹתִ֜י בְּמִשְׁמַ֗ר בֵּ֚ית שַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֔ים אֹתִ֕י וְאֵ֖ת שַׂ֥ר הָאֹפִֽים ׃
Φαραω ὠργίσθη τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔθετο ἡμᾶς ἐν φυλακῇ ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ ἀρχιμαγείρου ἐμέ τε καὶ τὸν ἀρχισιτοποιόν
iratus rex servis suis , me et magistrum pistorum retrudi jussit in carcerem principis militum :
ፈርዖን ፡ ተምዕዖሙ ፡ ለአግብርቲሁ ፡ ወወደየነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሞቅሕ ፡ ኪያየ ፡ ወሊቀ ፡ ኀባዝያን ።
Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, with the chief baker.
41:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַנַּֽחַלְמָ֥ה חֲל֛וֹם בְּלַ֥יְלָה אֶחָ֖ד אֲנִ֣י וָה֑וּא אִ֛ישׁ כְּפִתְר֥וֹן חֲלֹמ֖וֹ חָלָֽמְנוּ ׃
καὶ εἴδομεν ἐνύπνιον ἐν νυκτὶ μιᾷ ἐγώ τε καὶ αὐτός ἕκαστος κατὰ τὸ αὑτοῦ ἐνύπνιον εἴδομεν
ubi una nocte uterque vidimus somnium praesagum futurorum .
ወሐለምነ ፡ ሕልመ ፡ ክልኤነ ፡ አነሂ ፡ ወውእቱሂ ፡ በበዚአነ ፡ ሐለምነ ።
We dreamed a dream in one night, he and I. Each man dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream.
41:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁ֨ם אִתָּ֜נוּ נַ֣עַר עִבְרִ֗י עֶ֚בֶד לְשַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֔ים וַ֨נְּסַפֶּר ־ל֔וֹ וַיִּפְתׇּר ־לָ֖נוּ אֶת ־חֲלֹמֹתֵ֑ינוּ אִ֥ישׁ כַּחֲלֹמ֖וֹ פָּתָֽר ׃
ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ μεθ’ ἡμῶν νεανίσκος παῖς Εβραῖος τοῦ ἀρχιμαγείρου καὶ διηγησάμεθα αὐτῷ καὶ συνέκρινεν ἡμῖν
Erat ibi puer hebraeus , ejusdem ducis militum famulus : cui narrantes somnia ,
ወሀሎ ፡ ምስሌነ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ዕብራዊ ፡ ወሬዛ ፡ ዘሊቀ ፡ መበስላን ፡ ወነገርናሁ ፡ ወፈከረ ፡ ለነ ።
There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. He interpreted to each man according to his dream.
41:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֛י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּֽתַר ־לָ֖נוּ כֵּ֣ן הָיָ֑ה אֹתִ֛י הֵשִׁ֥יב עַל ־כַּנִּ֖י וְאֹת֥וֹ תָלָֽה ׃
ἐγενήθη δὲ καθὼς συνέκρινεν ἡμῖν οὕτως καὶ συνέβη ἐμέ τε ἀποκατασταθῆναι ἐπὶ τὴν ἀρχήν μου ἐκεῖνον δὲ κρεμασθῆναι
audivimus quidquid postea rei probavit eventus ; ego enim redditus sum officio meo , et ille suspensus est in cruce .
ወኮነነ ፡ በከመ ፡ ፈከረ ፡ ለነ ፡ ወከማሁ ፡ ረከብነ ፡ አነሂ ፡ ገባእኩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሢመትየ ፡ ወለዝክቱኒ ፡ ሰቀልዎ ።
As he interpreted to us, so it was. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”
41:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח פַּרְעֹה֙ וַיִּקְרָ֣א אֶת ־יוֹסֵ֔ף וַיְרִיצֻ֖הוּ מִן ־הַבּ֑וֹר וַיְגַלַּח֙ וַיְחַלֵּ֣ף שִׂמְלֹתָ֔יו וַיָּבֹ֖א אֶל ־פַּרְעֹֽה ׃
ἀποστείλας δὲ Φαραω ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐξήγαγον αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ ὀχυρώματος καὶ ἐξύρησαν αὐτὸν καὶ ἤλλαξαν τὴν στολὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἦλθεν πρὸς Φαραω
Protinus ad regis imperium eductum de carcere Joseph totonderunt : ac veste mutata obtulerunt ei .
ወለአከ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወጸውዕዎ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ወአውጽእዎ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሞቅሕ ፡ ወላፀይዎ ፡ ወወለጡ ፡ አልባሲሁ ፡ ወአምጽእዎ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ።
Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Pharaoh.
41:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֔ף חֲל֣וֹם חָלַ֔מְתִּי וּפֹתֵ֖ר אֵ֣ין אֹת֑וֹ וַאֲנִ֗י שָׁמַ֤עְתִּי עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר תִּשְׁמַ֥ע חֲל֖וֹם לִפְתֹּ֥ר אֹתֽוֹ ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω τῷ Ιωσηφ ἐνύπνιον ἑώρακα καὶ ὁ συγκρίνων οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτό ἐγὼ δὲ ἀκήκοα περὶ σοῦ λεγόντων ἀκούσαντά σε ἐνύπνια συγκρῖναι αὐτά
Cui ille ait : Vidi somnia , nec est qui edisserat : quae audivi te sapientissime conjicere .
ወይቤሎ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ሕልመ ፡ ሐለምኩ ፡ ወዘይፌክር ፡ ሊተ ፡ ኀጣእኩ ፡ ወሰማዕኩ ፡ አነ ፡ በእንቲአከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሰማዕከ ፡ ሕልመ ፡ ወፈከርከ ።
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”
41:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֨עַן יוֹסֵ֧ף אֶת ־פַּרְעֹ֛ה לֵאמֹ֖ר בִּלְעָדָ֑י אֱלֹהִ֕ים יַעֲנֶ֖ה אֶת ־שְׁל֥וֹם פַּרְעֹֽה ׃
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ Ιωσηφ τῷ Φαραω εἶπεν ἄνευ τοῦ θεοῦ οὐκ ἀποκριθήσεται τὸ σωτήριον Φαραω
Respondit Joseph : Absque me Deus respondebit prospera Pharaoni .
ወአውሥኦ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሀቦ ፡ ኢይክል ፡ ፈክሮ ።
Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
41:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר פַּרְעֹ֖ה אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֑ף בַּחֲלֹמִ֕י הִנְנִ֥י עֹמֵ֖ד עַל ־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר ׃
ἐλάλησεν δὲ Φαραω τῷ Ιωσηφ λέγων ἐν τῷ ὕπνῳ μου ᾤμην ἑστάναι παρὰ τὸ χεῖλος τοῦ ποταμοῦ
Narravit ergo Pharao quod viderat : Putabam me stare super ripam fluminis ,
ወነገሮ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ እሬኢ ፡ በሕልምየ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ እቀውም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ።
Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river;
41:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִן ־הַיְאֹ֗ר עֹלֹת֙ שֶׁ֣בַע פָּר֔וֹת בְּרִיא֥וֹת בָּשָׂ֖ר וִיפֹ֣ת תֹּ֑אַר וַתִּרְעֶ֖ינָה בָּאָֽחוּ ׃
καὶ ὥσπερ ἐκ τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἀνέβαινον ἑπτὰ βόες καλαὶ τῷ εἴδει καὶ ἐκλεκταὶ ταῖς σαρξὶν καὶ ἐνέμοντο ἐν τῷ ἄχει
et septem boves de amne conscendere , pulchras nimis , et obesis carnibus : quae in pastu paludis virecta carpebant .
ወእምውስተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ የዐርጉ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ እማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ሥቡሓን ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወሠናይ ፡ ራእዮሙ ፡ ወይትረዐዩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማዕዶት ።
and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;
41:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֞ה שֶֽׁבַע ־פָּר֤וֹת אֲחֵרוֹת֙ עֹל֣וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ן דַּלּ֨וֹת וְרָע֥וֹת תֹּ֛אַר מְאֹ֖ד וְרַקּ֣וֹת בָּשָׂ֑ר לֹֽא ־רָאִ֧יתִי כָהֵ֛נָּה בְּכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לָרֹֽעַ ׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἑπτὰ βόες ἕτεραι ἀνέβαινον ὀπίσω αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ ποταμοῦ πονηραὶ καὶ αἰσχραὶ τῷ εἴδει καὶ λεπταὶ ταῖς σαρξίν οἵας οὐκ εἶδον τοιαύτας ἐν ὅλῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ αἰσχροτέρας
Et ecce , has sequebantur aliae septem boves , in tantum deformes et macilentae , ut numquam tales in terra Aegypti viderim :
ወናሁ ፡ ካልኣን ፡ [፯ ]አልህምት ፡ የዐርጉ ፡ እምድኅሬሆሙ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ እኩያን ፡ ወሕሡም ፡ ራእዮሙ ፡ ወደገደግ ፡ ሥጋሆሙ ፡ ወኢርኢኩ ፡ ዘከማሆሙ ፡ ሕሡመ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.
41:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתֹּאכַ֙לְנָה֙ הַפָּר֔וֹת הָרַקּ֖וֹת וְהָרָע֑וֹת אֵ֣ת שֶׁ֧בַע הַפָּר֛וֹת הָרִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת הַבְּרִיאֹֽת ׃
καὶ κατέφαγον αἱ ἑπτὰ βόες αἱ αἰσχραὶ καὶ λεπταὶ τὰς ἑπτὰ βόας τὰς πρώτας τὰς καλὰς καὶ ἐκλεκτάς
quae , devoratis et consumptis prioribus ,
ወውኅጥዎሙ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ ደገደጋን ፡ ለእልክቱ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ሥቡሓን ፡ ወሠናያን ።
The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;
41:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתָּבֹ֣אנָה אֶל ־קִרְבֶּ֗נָה וְלֹ֤א נוֹדַע֙ כִּי ־בָ֣אוּ אֶל ־קִרְבֶּ֔נָה וּמַרְאֵיהֶ֣ן רַ֔ע כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר בַּתְּחִלָּ֑ה וָאִיקָֽץ ׃
καὶ εἰσῆλθον εἰς τὰς κοιλίας αὐτῶν καὶ οὐ διάδηλοι ἐγένοντο ὅτι εἰσῆλθον εἰς τὰς κοιλίας αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ ὄψεις αὐτῶν αἰσχραὶ καθὰ καὶ τὴν ἀρχήν ἐξεγερθεὶς δὲ ἐκοιμήθην
nullum saturitatis dedere vestigium : sed simili macie et squalore torpebant . Evigilans , rursus sopore depressus ,
ወቦኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከርሦሙ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ዘቦአ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከርሦሙ ፡ ወገጾሙኒ ፡ ሕሡም ፡ ከመ ፡ ቀዳሚ ፡ ወነቃህኩ ፡ ወሰከብኩ ፡ ካዕበ ።
and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
41:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֵ֖רֶא בַּחֲלֹמִ֑י וְהִנֵּ֣ה ׀ שֶׁ֣בַע שִׁבֳּלִ֗ים עֹלֹ֛ת בְּקָנֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד מְלֵאֹ֥ת וְטֹבֽוֹת ׃
καὶ εἶδον πάλιν ἐν τῷ ὕπνῳ μου καὶ ὥσπερ ἑπτὰ στάχυες ἀνέβαινον ἐν πυθμένι ἑνὶ πλήρεις καὶ καλοί
vidi somnium . Septem spicae pullulabant in culmo uno plenae atque pulcherrimae .
ወርኢኩ ፡ በሕልም ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ይወጽኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ሥርው ፡ ወምሉኣን ፡ ወሠናያን ።
I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good;
41:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּה֙ שֶׁ֣בַע שִׁבֳּלִ֔ים צְנֻמ֥וֹת דַּקּ֖וֹת שְׁדֻפ֣וֹת קָדִ֑ים צֹמְח֖וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם ׃
ἄλλοι δὲ ἑπτὰ στάχυες λεπτοὶ καὶ ἀνεμόφθοροι ἀνεφύοντο ἐχόμενοι αὐτῶν
Aliae quoque septem tenues et percussae uredine , oriebantur e stipula :
ወካልኣን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ቀጢናን ፡ ወይቡሳን ፡ ይወፅኡ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ።
and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
41:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּבְלַ֙עְןָ֙ הַשִּׁבֳּלִ֣ים הַדַּקֹּ֔ת אֵ֛ת שֶׁ֥בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִ֖ים הַטֹּב֑וֹת וָֽאֹמַר֙ אֶל ־הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֔ים וְאֵ֥ין מַגִּ֖יד לִֽי ׃
καὶ κατέπιον οἱ ἑπτὰ στάχυες οἱ λεπτοὶ καὶ ἀνεμόφθοροι τοὺς ἑπτὰ στάχυας τοὺς καλοὺς καὶ τοὺς πλήρεις εἶπα οὖν τοῖς ἐξηγηταῖς καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀπαγγέλλων μοι
quae priorum pulchritudinem devoraverunt . Narravi conjectoribus somnium , et nemo est qui edisserat .
ወውኅጥዎሙ ፡ እልክቱ ፡ ቀጢናን ፡ ወይቡሳን ፡ ለእልክቱ ፡ ምሉኣን ፡ ወሠናያን ፡ ወነገርክዎሙ ፡ ለመፈክራን ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘፈከሩ ፡ ሊተ ።
The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”
41:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹסֵף֙ אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֔ה חֲל֥וֹם פַּרְעֹ֖ה אֶחָ֣ד ה֑וּא אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֧ר הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים עֹשֶׂ֖ה הִגִּ֥יד לְפַרְעֹֽה ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ιωσηφ τῷ Φαραω τὸ ἐνύπνιον Φαραω ἕν ἐστιν ὅσα ὁ θεὸς ποιεῖ ἔδειξεν τῷ Φαραω
Respondit Joseph : Somnium regis unum est : quae facturus est Deus , ostendit Pharaoni .
ወይቤሎ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ሕልሙ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘይገብር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አርአዮ ፡ ለፈርዖን ።
Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.
41:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ שֶׁ֧בַע פָּרֹ֣ת הַטֹּבֹ֗ת שֶׁ֤בַע שָׁנִים֙ הֵ֔נָּה וְשֶׁ֤בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִים֙ הַטֹּבֹ֔ת שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִ֖ים הֵ֑נָּה חֲל֖וֹם אֶחָ֥ד הֽוּא ׃
αἱ ἑπτὰ βόες αἱ καλαὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἐστίν καὶ οἱ ἑπτὰ στάχυες οἱ καλοὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἐστίν τὸ ἐνύπνιον Φαραω ἕν ἐστιν
Septem boves pulchrae , et septem spicae plenae , septem ubertatis anni sunt : eamdemque vim somnii comprehendunt .
እሉ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ሠናያን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወእሉሂ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ሠናያን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ሕልሙ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ውእቱ ።
The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.
41:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשֶׁ֣בַע הַ֠פָּר֠וֹת הָֽרַקּ֨וֹת וְהָרָעֹ֜ת הָעֹלֹ֣ת אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ן שֶׁ֤בַע שָׁנִים֙ הֵ֔נָּה וְשֶׁ֤בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִים֙ הָרֵק֔וֹת שְׁדֻפ֖וֹת הַקָּדִ֑ים יִהְי֕וּ שֶׁ֖בַע שְׁנֵ֥י רָעָֽב ׃
καὶ αἱ ἑπτὰ βόες αἱ λεπταὶ αἱ ἀναβαίνουσαι ὀπίσω αὐτῶν ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἐστίν καὶ οἱ ἑπτὰ στάχυες οἱ λεπτοὶ καὶ ἀνεμόφθοροι ἔσονται ἑπτὰ ἔτη λιμοῦ
Septem quoque boves tenues atque macilentae , quae ascenderunt post eas , et septem spicae tenues , et vento urente percussae , septem anni venturae sunt famis .
ወእሉ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ አልህምት ፡ ደገደጋን ፡ እለ ፡ የዐርጉ ፡ እምድኅሬሆሙ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወእሉሂ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ሠዊት ፡ ቀጢናን ፡ ወዕቡራን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘረኃብ ።
The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.
41:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ ה֣וּא הַדָּבָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֧ר הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים עֹשֶׂ֖ה הֶרְאָ֥ה אֶת ־פַּרְעֹֽה ׃
τὸ δὲ ῥῆμα ὃ εἴρηκα Φαραω ὅσα ὁ θεὸς ποιεῖ ἔδειξεν τῷ Φαραω
Qui hoc ordine complebuntur :
ወዝንቱ ፡ ቃል ፡ ዘ [እ ]ቤሎ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ዘይገብር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አርአዮ ፡ ለፈርዖን ።
That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.
41:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֛ה שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִ֖ים בָּא֑וֹת שָׂבָ֥ע גָּד֖וֹל בְּכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
ἰδοὺ ἑπτὰ ἔτη ἔρχεται εὐθηνία πολλὴ ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ
ecce septem anni venient fertilitatis magnae in universa terra Aegypti ,
ናሁ ፡ ይመጽእ ፡ ፯ዓመት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.
41:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְ֠קָ֠מוּ שֶׁ֜בַע שְׁנֵ֤י רָעָב֙ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ן וְנִשְׁכַּ֥ח כׇּל ־הַשָּׂבָ֖ע בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְכִלָּ֥ה הָרָעָ֖ב אֶת ־הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
ἥξει δὲ ἑπτὰ ἔτη λιμοῦ μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐπιλήσονται τῆς πλησμονῆς ἐν ὅλῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἀναλώσει ὁ λιμὸς τὴν γῆν
quos sequentur septem anni alii tantae sterilitatis , ut oblivioni tradatur cuncta retro abundantia : consumptura est enim fames omnem terram ,
ወይመጽእ ፡ ፯ዓመት ፡ ዘረኃብ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ ወይረስዕዎ ፡ ለጽጋብ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,
41:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹֽא ־יִוָּדַ֤ע הַשָּׂבָע֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ מִפְּנֵ֛י הָרָעָ֥ב הַה֖וּא אַחֲרֵי ־כֵ֑ן כִּֽי ־כָבֵ֥ד ה֖וּא מְאֹֽד ׃
καὶ οὐκ ἐπιγνωσθήσεται ἡ εὐθηνία ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τοῦ λιμοῦ τοῦ ἐσομένου μετὰ ταῦτα ἰσχυρὸς γὰρ ἔσται σφόδρα
et ubertatis magnitudinem perditura est inopiae magnitudo .
ወየኀልቅ ፡ በረኃብ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ብሔር ፡ እምነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ ዘይመጽእ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ጥቀ ።
and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.
41:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַ֨ל הִשָּׁנ֧וֹת הַחֲל֛וֹם אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֖ה פַּעֲמָ֑יִם כִּֽי ־נָכ֤וֹן הַדָּבָר֙ מֵעִ֣ם הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וּמְמַהֵ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לַעֲשֹׂתֽוֹ ׃
περὶ δὲ τοῦ δευτερῶσαι τὸ ἐνύπνιον Φαραω δίς ὅτι ἀληθὲς ἔσται τὸ ῥῆμα τὸ παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ταχυνεῖ ὁ θεὸς τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτό
Quod autem vidisti secundo ad eamdem rem pertinens somnium : firmitatis indicium est , eo quod fiat sermo Dei , et velocius impleatur .
ወዘደገመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ሐሊሞቶ ፡ እስመ ፡ እሙን ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ነገር ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወፍጡነ ፡ ይገብሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዝንቱ ።
The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
41:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּה֙ יֵרֶ֣א פַרְעֹ֔ה אִ֖ישׁ נָב֣וֹן וְחָכָ֑ם וִישִׁיתֵ֖הוּ עַל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
νῦν οὖν σκέψαι ἄνθρωπον φρόνιμον καὶ συνετὸν καὶ κατάστησον αὐτὸν ἐπὶ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Nunc ergo provideat rex virum sapientem et industrium , et praeficiat eum terrae Aegypti :
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ኅሥሥ ፡ ለከ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ጠቢበ ፡ ወልብወ ፡ ወሢሞ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.
41:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה פַרְעֹ֔ה וְיַפְקֵ֥ד פְּקִדִ֖ים עַל ־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְחִמֵּשׁ֙ אֶת ־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּשֶׁ֖בַע שְׁנֵ֥י הַשָּׂבָֽע ׃
καὶ ποιησάτω Φαραω καὶ καταστησάτω τοπάρχας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀποπεμπτωσάτωσαν πάντα τὰ γενήματα τῆς γῆς Αἰγύπτου τῶν ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν τῆς εὐθηνίας
qui constituat praepositos per cunctas regiones : et quintam partem fructuum per septem annos fertilitatis ,
ወይግበር ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ መዛግብተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወይድፍንዎ ፡ ለእክለ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ዘ፯ዓመት ።
Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.
41:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיִקְבְּצ֗וּ אֶת ־כׇּל ־אֹ֙כֶל֙ הַשָּׁנִ֣ים הַטֹּב֔וֹת הַבָּאֹ֖ת הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְיִצְבְּרוּ ־בָ֞ר תַּ֧חַת יַד ־פַּרְעֹ֛ה אֹ֥כֶל בֶּעָרִ֖ים וְשָׁמָֽרוּ ׃
καὶ συναγαγέτωσαν πάντα τὰ βρώματα τῶν ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν τῶν ἐρχομένων τῶν καλῶν τούτων καὶ συναχθήτω ὁ σῖτος ὑπὸ χεῖρα Φαραω βρώματα ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν φυλαχθήτω
qui jam nunc futuri sunt , congreget in horrea : et omne frumentum sub Pharaonis potestate condatur , serveturque in urbibus .
ወያስተጋብእዎ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ እክል ፡ ዘ፯ዓመት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፡ ወያስተጋብእ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ስርናዮ ፡ ወእክሎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አህጉር ፡ ወይትዐቀብ ።
Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
41:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֨ה הָאֹ֤כֶל לְפִקָּדוֹן֙ לָאָ֔רֶץ לְשֶׁ֙בַע֙ שְׁנֵ֣י הָרָעָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּהְיֶ֖יןָ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְלֹֽא ־תִכָּרֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ בָּרָעָֽב ׃
καὶ ἔσται τὰ βρώματα πεφυλαγμένα τῇ γῇ εἰς τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη τοῦ λιμοῦ ἃ ἔσονται ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ οὐκ ἐκτριβήσεται ἡ γῆ ἐν τῷ λιμῷ
Et praeparetur futurae septem annorum fami , quae oppressura est Aegyptum , et non consumetur terra inopia .
ወይኩን ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እክል ፡ ዘየዐቅቡ ፡ ሲሳየ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ለአመ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ ዘይመጽእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኢይሙት ፡ ሰብኣ ፡ በረኃብ ።
The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”
41:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּיטַ֥ב הַדָּבָ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וּבְעֵינֵ֖י כׇּל ־עֲבָדָֽיו ׃
ἤρεσεν δὲ τὰ ῥήματα ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν παίδων αὐτοῦ
Placuit Pharaoni consilium et cunctis ministris ejus :
ወአደሞ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ነገር ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ሰብኡ ።
The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
41:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֖ה אֶל ־עֲבָדָ֑יו הֲנִמְצָ֣א כָזֶ֔ה אִ֕ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֛ר ר֥וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֖ים בּֽוֹ ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Φαραω πᾶσιν τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ μὴ εὑρήσομεν ἄνθρωπον τοιοῦτον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα θεοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ
locutusque est ad eos : Num invenire poterimus talem virum , qui spiritu Dei plenus sit ?
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሰብኡ ፡ ቦኑ ፡ እንከ ፡ ዘተረክበ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘመንፈሰ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌሁ ።
Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”
41:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר פַּרְעֹה֙ אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֔ף אַחֲרֵ֨י הוֹדִ֧יעַ אֱלֹהִ֛ים אוֹתְךָ֖ אֶת ־כׇּל ־זֹ֑את אֵין ־נָב֥וֹן וְחָכָ֖ם כָּמֽוֹךָ ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω τῷ Ιωσηφ ἐπειδὴ ἔδειξεν ὁ θεός σοι πάντα ταῦτα οὐκ ἔστιν ἄνθρωπος φρονιμώτερος καὶ συνετώτερός σου
Dixit ergo ad Joseph : Quia ostendit tibi Deus omnia quae locutus es , numquid sapientiorem et consimilem tui invenire potero ?
ወይቤሎ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ እስመ ፡ ለከ ፡ አርየከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ዘይጠብበከ ፡ ወዘይሌቡ ፡ እምኔከ ፤
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.
41:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַתָּה֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה עַל ־בֵּיתִ֔י וְעַל ־פִּ֖יךָ יִשַּׁ֣ק כׇּל ־עַמִּ֑י רַ֥ק הַכִּסֵּ֖א אֶגְדַּ֥ל מִמֶּֽךָּ ׃
σὺ ἔσῃ ἐπὶ τῷ οἴκῳ μου καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματί σου ὑπακούσεται πᾶς ὁ λαός μου πλὴν τὸν θρόνον ὑπερέξω σου ἐγώ
Tu eris super domum meam , et ad tui oris imperium cunctus populus obediet : uno tantum regni solio te praecedam .
አንተ ፡ ኩን ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ቤትየ ፡ ወለቃለ ፡ ዚአከ ፡ ይትአዘዝ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወእንበለ ፡ መንበር ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘ [እ ]ፈደፍደከ ፡ አነ ።
You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”
41:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֖ה אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֑ף רְאֵה֙ נָתַ֣תִּי אֹֽתְךָ֔ עַ֖ל כׇּל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω τῷ Ιωσηφ ἰδοὺ καθίστημί σε σήμερον ἐπὶ πάσης γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Dixitque rursus Pharao ad Joseph : Ecce , constitui te super universam terram Aegypti .
ወይቤሎ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ናሁ ፡ እሠይመከ ፡ አነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
41:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּ֨סַר פַּרְעֹ֤ה אֶת ־טַבַּעְתּוֹ֙ מֵעַ֣ל יָד֔וֹ וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֹתָ֖הּ עַל ־יַ֣ד יוֹסֵ֑ף וַיַּלְבֵּ֤שׁ אֹתוֹ֙ בִּגְדֵי ־שֵׁ֔שׁ וַיָּ֛שֶׂם רְבִ֥ד הַזָּהָ֖ב עַל ־צַוָּארֽוֹ ׃
καὶ περιελόμενος Φαραω τὸν δακτύλιον ἀπὸ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ περιέθηκεν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐνέδυσεν αὐτὸν στολὴν βυσσίνην καὶ περιέθηκεν κλοιὸν χρυσοῦν περὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ
Tulitque annulum de manu sua , et dedit eum in manu ejus : vestivitque eum stola byssina , et collo torquem auream circumposuit .
ወአውጽአ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ሕልቀቶ ፡ እምነ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ወወደየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ወአልበሶ ፡ ልብሰ ፡ ሜላ [ት ] ፡ ወአዕነቆ ፡ ባዝግና ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳዱ ።
Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck.
41:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּרְכֵּ֣ב אֹת֗וֹ בְּמִרְכֶּ֤בֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה֙ אֲשֶׁר ־ל֔וֹ וַיִּקְרְא֥וּ לְפָנָ֖יו אַבְרֵ֑ךְ וְנָת֣וֹן אֹת֔וֹ עַ֖ל כׇּל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἀνεβίβασεν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ ἅρμα τὸ δεύτερον τῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκήρυξεν ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ κῆρυξ καὶ κατέστησεν αὐτὸν ἐφ’ ὅλης γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Fecitque eum ascendere super currum suum secundum , clamante praecone , ut omnes coram eo genu flecterent , et praepositum esse scirent universae terrae Aegypti .
ወአጽዐኖ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፈረስ ፡ ዘዚአሁ ፡ ወዖደ ፡ ዐዋዲ ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ ወሤሞ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
He made him ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt.
41:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֧אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֛ה אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֖ף אֲנִ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וּבִלְעָדֶ֗יךָ לֹֽא ־יָרִ֨ים אִ֧ישׁ אֶת ־יָד֛וֹ וְאֶת ־רַגְל֖וֹ בְּכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω τῷ Ιωσηφ ἐγὼ Φαραω ἄνευ σοῦ οὐκ ἐξαρεῖ οὐθεὶς τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου
Dixit quoque rex ad Joseph : Ego sum Pharao : absque tuo imperio non movebit quisquam manum aut pedem in omni terra Aegypti .
ወይቤሎ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ አነ ፡ ለሊየ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ዘእንበሌከ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ዘእገብር ፡ ወኢምንተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh. Without you, no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”
41:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֣ה שֵׁם ־יוֹסֵף֮ צָֽפְנַ֣ת פַּעְנֵ֒חַ֒ וַיִּתֶּן ־ל֣וֹ אֶת ־אָֽסְנַ֗ת בַּת ־פּ֥וֹטִי פֶ֛רַע* (בספרי תימן פּֽוֹטִיפֶ֛רַע בתיבה אחת ) כֹּהֵ֥ן אֹ֖ן לְאִשָּׁ֑ה וַיֵּצֵ֥א יוֹסֵ֖ף עַל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραω τὸ ὄνομα Ιωσηφ Ψονθομφανηχ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ τὴν Ασεννεθ θυγατέρα Πετεφρη ἱερέως Ἡλίου πόλεως αὐτῷ γυναῖκα
Vertitque nomen ejus , et vocavit eum , lingua aegyptiaca , Salvatorem mundi . Deditque illi uxorem Aseneth filiam Putiphare sacerdotis Heliopoleos . Egressus est itaque Joseph ad terram Aegypti
ወሰመዮ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ስሞ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ፍስንቶፌኔኅ ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ አሴኔትሃ ፡ ወለተ ፡ ጴሜጤፌራ ፡ ማሪ ፡ ዘሀገረ ፡ ሄሊዮቱ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ብእሲተ ።
Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-Paneah. He gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.
41:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיוֹסֵף֙ בֶּן ־שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה בְּעׇמְד֕וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ ־מִצְרָ֑יִם וַיֵּצֵ֤א יוֹסֵף֙ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ר בְּכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
Ιωσηφ δὲ ἦν ἐτῶν τριάκοντα ὅτε ἔστη ἐναντίον Φαραω βασιλέως Αἰγύπτου ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Ιωσηφ ἐκ προσώπου Φαραω καὶ διῆλθεν πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου
(triginta autem annorum erat quando stetit in conspectu regis Pharaonis ), et circuivit omnes regiones Aegypti .
ወሠላሳ ፡ ዓመቱ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ አመ ፡ ይቀውም ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወሶበ ፡ ወፅአ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወአንሶሰወ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
41:47 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתַּ֣עַשׂ הָאָ֔רֶץ בְּשֶׁ֖בַע שְׁנֵ֣י הַשָּׂבָ֑ע לִקְמָצִֽים ׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν ἡ γῆ ἐν τοῖς ἑπτὰ ἔτεσιν τῆς εὐθηνίας δράγματα
Venitque fertilitas septem annorum : et in manipulos redactae segetes congregatae sunt in horrea Aegypti .
ወኵሎ ፡ ዘአውጽአት ፡ ምድር ፡ እክለ ፡ ዘሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፡ ከላስስቲሁ ፤
In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly.
41:48 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְבֹּ֞ץ אֶת ־כׇּל ־אֹ֣כֶל ׀ שֶׁ֣בַע שָׁנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר הָיוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיִּתֶּן ־אֹ֖כֶל בֶּעָרִ֑ים אֹ֧כֶל שְׂדֵה ־הָעִ֛יר אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְבִיבֹתֶ֖יהָ נָתַ֥ן בְּתוֹכָֽהּ ׃
καὶ συνήγαγεν πάντα τὰ βρώματα τῶν ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν ἐν οἷς ἦν ἡ εὐθηνία ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔθηκεν τὰ βρώματα ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν βρώματα τῶν πεδίων τῆς πόλεως τῶν κύκλῳ αὐτῆς ἔθηκεν ἐν αὐτῇ
Omnis etiam frugum abundantia in singulis urbibus condita est .
ወኵሎ ፡ እክሎ ፡ አስተጋብኡ ፡ ዘብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወዘገቡ ፡ እክለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አህጉር ፡ ወአድያመ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ሲሳየ ።
He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities. He stored food in each city from the fields around that city.
41:49 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּצְבֹּ֨ר יוֹסֵ֥ף בָּ֛ר כְּח֥וֹל הַיָּ֖ם הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד עַ֛ד כִּי ־חָדַ֥ל לִסְפֹּ֖ר כִּי ־אֵ֥ין מִסְפָּֽר ׃
καὶ συνήγαγεν Ιωσηφ σῖτον ὡσεὶ τὴν ἄμμον τῆς θαλάσσης πολὺν σφόδρα ἕως οὐκ ἠδύναντο ἀριθμῆσαι οὐ γὰρ ἦν ἀριθμός
Tantaque fuit abundantia tritici , ut arenae maris coaequaretur , et copia mensuram excederet .
ወዘገበ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ስርናየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኆፃ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ እስከ ፡ ስእኑ ፡ ኈልቆቶ ፡ ወዘእንበለ ፡ ኍልቍ ፡ ኮነ ።
Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.
41:50 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְיוֹסֵ֤ף יֻלַּד֙ שְׁנֵ֣י בָנִ֔ים בְּטֶ֥רֶם תָּב֖וֹא שְׁנַ֣ת הָרָעָ֑ב אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָֽלְדָה ־לּוֹ֙ אָֽסְנַ֔ת בַּת ־פּ֥וֹטִי פֶ֖רַע* (בספרי תימן פּֽוֹטִיפֶ֖רַע בתיבה אחת ) כֹּהֵ֥ן אֽוֹן ׃
τῷ δὲ Ιωσηφ ἐγένοντο υἱοὶ δύο πρὸ τοῦ ἐλθεῖν τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη τοῦ λιμοῦ οὓς ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ Ασεννεθ θυγάτηρ Πετεφρη ἱερέως Ἡλίου πόλεως
Nati sunt autem Joseph filii duo antequam veniret fames : quos peperit ei Aseneth filia Putiphare sacerdotis Heliopoleos .
ወተወልዱ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ ክልኤቱ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ይምጻእ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ እለ ፡ ወለደት ፡ ሎቱ ፡ አሴኔት ።
To Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.
41:51 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֥א יוֹסֵ֛ף אֶת ־שֵׁ֥ם הַבְּכ֖וֹר מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה כִּֽי ־נַשַּׁ֤נִי אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־עֲמָלִ֔י וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל ־בֵּ֥ית אָבִֽי ׃
ἐκάλεσεν δὲ Ιωσηφ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πρωτοτόκου Μανασση ὅτι ἐπιλαθέσθαι με ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς πάντων τῶν πόνων μου καὶ πάντων τῶν τοῦ πατρός μου
Vocavitque nomen primogeniti Manasses , dicens : Oblivisci me fecit Deus omnium laborum meorum , et domus patris mei .
ወሰመዮ ፡ ስመ ፡ በኵሩ ፡ ምናሴ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡ እስመ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ እርሳዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሕማምየ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ አቡየ ።
Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, “For”, he said, “God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.”
41:52 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֛ת שֵׁ֥ם הַשֵּׁנִ֖י קָרָ֣א אֶפְרָ֑יִם כִּֽי ־הִפְרַ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּאֶ֥רֶץ עׇנְיִֽי ׃
τὸ δὲ ὄνομα τοῦ δευτέρου ἐκάλεσεν Εφραιμ ὅτι ηὔξησέν με ὁ θεὸς ἐν γῇ ταπεινώσεώς μου
Nomen quoque secundi appellavit Ephraim , dicens : Crescere me fecit Deus in terra paupertatis meae .
ወሰመዮ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ለካልእ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡ እስመ ፡ አዕበየኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ሥቃይ ።
The name of the second, he called Ephraim: “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
41:53 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּכְלֶ֕ינָה שֶׁ֖בַע שְׁנֵ֣י הַשָּׂבָ֑ע אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
παρῆλθον δὲ τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη τῆς εὐθηνίας ἃ ἐγένοντο ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ
Igitur transactis septem ubertatis annis , qui fuerant in Aegypto ,
ወኀሊፎ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘጽጋብ ፤
The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt, came to an end.
41:54 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתְּחִלֶּ֜ינָה שֶׁ֣בַע שְׁנֵ֤י הָרָעָב֙ לָב֔וֹא כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אָמַ֣ר יוֹסֵ֑ף וַיְהִ֤י רָעָב֙ בְּכׇל ־הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת וּבְכׇל ־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם הָ֥יָה לָֽחֶם ׃
καὶ ἤρξαντο τὰ ἑπτὰ ἔτη τοῦ λιμοῦ ἔρχεσθαι καθὰ εἶπεν Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐγένετο λιμὸς ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ ἐν δὲ πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου ἦσαν ἄρτοι
coeperunt venire septem anni inopiae , quos praedixerat Joseph : et in universo orbe fames praevaluit , in cuncta autem terra Aegypti panis erat .
አኀዘ ፡ ይምጻእ ፡ ሰባዕቱ ፡ ዓመት ፡ ዘረኃብ ፡ በከመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ ዮሴፍ ።
The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
41:55 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּרְעַב֙ כׇּל ־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיִּצְעַ֥ק הָעָ֛ם אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֖ה לַלָּ֑חֶם וַיֹּ֨אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֤ה לְכׇל ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ לְכ֣וּ אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֔ף אֲשֶׁר ־יֹאמַ֥ר לָכֶ֖ם תַּעֲשֽׂוּ ׃
καὶ ἐπείνασεν πᾶσα ἡ γῆ Αἰγύπτου ἐκέκραξεν δὲ ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Φαραω περὶ ἄρτων εἶπεν δὲ Φαραω πᾶσι τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις πορεύεσθε πρὸς Ιωσηφ καὶ ὃ ἐὰν εἴπῃ ὑμῖν ποιήσατε
Qua esuriente , clamavit populus ad Pharaonem , alimenta petens . Quibus ille respondit : Ite ad Joseph : et quidquid ipse vobis dixerit , facite .
ወኮነ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወጸርኀ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ በእንተ ፡ እክል ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሑሩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ [ወ ]ዘይቤለክሙ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ግበሩ ።
When all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do.”
41:56 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָרָעָ֣ב הָיָ֔ה עַ֖ל כׇּל ־פְּנֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּפְתַּ֨ח יוֹסֵ֜ף אֶֽת ־כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁ֤ר בָּהֶם֙ וַיִּשְׁבֹּ֣ר לְמִצְרַ֔יִם וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק הָֽרָעָ֖ב בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ὁ λιμὸς ἦν ἐπὶ προσώπου πάσης τῆς γῆς ἀνέῳξεν δὲ Ιωσηφ πάντας τοὺς σιτοβολῶνας καὶ ἐπώλει πᾶσι τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις
Crescebat autem quotidie fames in omni terra : aperuitque Joseph universa horrea , et vendebat Aegyptiis : nam et illos oppresserat fames .
ረኃብሰ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወርእዮ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ መዛግብተ ፡ እክል ፡ አርኀወ ፡ ወሤጠ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ግብጽ ።
The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt.
41:57 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכׇל ־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ בָּ֣אוּ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה לִשְׁבֹּ֖ר אֶל ־יוֹסֵ֑ף כִּֽי ־חָזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב בְּכׇל ־הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ χῶραι ἦλθον εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἀγοράζειν πρὸς Ιωσηφ ἐπεκράτησεν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ
Omnesque provinciae veniebant in Aegyptum , ut emerent escas , et malum inopiae temperarent .
ወመጽአ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በሓውርት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሣየጥ ፡ እክለ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ [ኵሉ ፡] ብሔር ።
All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
