2:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔστησεν κύριος τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ ὃν ἐλάλησεν ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς δικαστὰς ἡμῶν τοὺς δικάσαντας τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς ἡμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας ἡμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ ἄνθρωπον Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα
Propter quod statuit Dominus Deus noster verbum suum , quod locutus est ad nos , et ad judices nostros qui judicaverunt Israël , et ad reges nostros , et ad principes nostros , et ad omnem Israël et Juda :
ወአቀመ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ዘነበበ ፡ በላዕሌነ ፡ ወበላዕለ ፡ መሳፍንቲነ ፡ ዘኰነንዎ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ወበላዕለ ፡ ነገሥታቲነ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ መኳንንቲ ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወይሁዳ ።
Therefore the Lord has made good his word, which he pronounced against us, and against our judges that judged Israel, and against our kings, and against our princes, and against the men of Israel and Judah,
2:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐκ ἐποιήθη ὑποκάτω παντὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καθὰ ἐποίησεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ κατὰ τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν τῷ νόμῳ Μωυσῆ
ut adduceret Dominus super nos mala magna , quæ non sunt facta sub cælo quemadmodum facta sunt in Jerusalem , secundum quæ scripta sunt in lege Moysi ,
ከመ ፡ ያመጽእ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ በታሕተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ በከመ ፡ ገብረ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ፡ በከመ ፡ ጽሑፍ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኦሪተ ፡ ሙሴ ።
to bring upon us great plagues, such as never happened under the whole heaven, as it came to pass in Jerusalem, according to the things that are written in the law of Moses;
2:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ τοῦ φαγεῖν ἡμᾶς ἄνθρωπον σάρκας υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἄνθρωπον σάρκας θυγατρὸς αὐτοῦ
et manducaret homo carnes filii sui et carnes filiæ suæ .
ወበልዐ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ደቂቁ ፡ ወአዋልዲሁ ።
That we should eat every man the flesh of his own son, and every man the flesh of his own daughter.
2:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοὺς ὑποχειρίους πάσαις ταῖς βασιλείαις ταῖς κύκλῳ ἡμῶν εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν καὶ εἰς ἄβατον ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς λαοῖς τοῖς κύκλῳ οὗ διέσπειρεν αὐτοὺς κύριος ἐκεῖ
Et dedit eos sub manu regum omnium qui sunt in circuitu nostro , in improperium et in desolationem in omnibus populis in quibus nos dispersit Dominus :
ወመጠዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴሆሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ እለ ፡ ዐውድነ ፡ ለኃሣር ፡ ወለተመንድቦ ፡ በኀበ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ በዐውድነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ዘረዎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ህየ ።
Moreover he has given them to be in subjection to all the kingdoms that are round about us, to be a reproach and a desolation among all the people round about, where the Lord has scattered them.
2:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ὑποκάτω καὶ οὐκ ἐπάνω ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν κυρίῳ θεῷ ἡμῶν πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἀκούειν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ
et facti sumus subtus , et non supra , quia peccavimus Domino Deo nostro , non obaudiendo voci ipsius .
ወኮነ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እስመ ፡ አበስነ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ኢንትኤዘዝ ፡ ለቃሉ ።
Thus were they cast down, and not exalted, because we sinned against the Lord our God, in not hearkening to his voice.
2:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἡ δικαιοσύνη ἡμῖν δὲ καὶ τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν ἡ αἰσχύνη τῶν προσώπων ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη
Domino Deo nostro justitia , nobis autem et patribus nostris confusio faciei , sicut est dies hæc :
ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ለነሰ ፡ ወለአበዊነ ፡ ኃፍረተ ፡ ገጽ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ።
To the Lord our God belongs righteousness: but to us and to our fathers confusion of face, as at this day.
2:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς πάντα τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα ἦλθεν ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς
quia locutus est Dominus super nos omnia mala hæc quæ venerunt super nos :
እስመ ፡ ነበበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ዘበጽሐ ፡ ዲቤነ ።
For all these plagues are come upon us, which the Lord has pronounced against us.
2:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ οὐκ ἐδεήθημεν τοῦ προσώπου κυρίου τοῦ ἀποστρέψαι ἕκαστον ἀπὸ τῶν νοημάτων τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν τῆς πονηρᾶς
et non sumus deprecati faciem Domini Dei nostri , ut reverteremur unusquisque nostrum a viis nostris pessimis .
ወኢጸለይነ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጹ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንትመየጥ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እምፍኖተ ፡ ልብነ ፡ እኩይ ።
Yet have we not entreated the favor of the Lord, in turning every one from the thoughts of his wicked heart.
2:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγρηγόρησεν κύριος ἐπὶ τοῖς κακοῖς καὶ ἐπήγαγε κύριος ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς ὅτι δίκαιος ὁ κύριος ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἃ ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν
Et vigilavit Dominus in malis , et adduxit ea super nos : quia justus est Dominus in omnibus operibus suis quæ mandavit nobis ,
ወነቅሐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለምንዳቤ ፡ ወአምጽአ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ጻድቅ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ግብሩ ፡ ዘአዘዘ ፡ በላዕሌነ ።
Therefore has the Lord kept watch over the plagues, and the Lord has brought them upon us; for the Lord is righteous in all his works which he has commanded us.
2:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσαμεν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ πορεύεσθαι τοῖς προστάγμασιν κυρίου οἷς ἔδωκεν κατὰ πρόσωπον ἡμῶν
et non audivimus vocem ipsius ut iremus in præceptis Domini , quæ dedit ante faciem nostram .
ወኢሰማዕነ ፡ ቃሎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ንሑር ፡ በትእዛዛቲሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘወሀበ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽነ ።
Yet we have not hearkened to his voice, to walk in the commandments of the Lord that he has set before us.
2:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ νῦν κύριε ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὃς ἐξήγαγες τὸν λαόν σου ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ καὶ ἐν σημείοις καὶ ἐν τέρασιν καὶ ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῷ ὄνομα ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη
Et nunc , Domine Deus Israël , qui eduxisti populum tuum de terra Ægypti in manu valida , et in signis , et in prodigiis , et in virtute tua magna , et in brachio excelso , et fecisti tibi nomen sicut est dies iste :
ወይእዜኒ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዘአውፃእከ ፡ ሕዝበከ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ፡ ወበትእምርት ፡ ወበመንክር ፡ ወበኃይል ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ወበመዝራዕት ፡ ልዑል ፡ ወረሰይከ ፡ ለከ ፡ ስመ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ።
And now, O Lord, you God of Israel, that have brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with signs, and with wonders, and with great power, and with a high arm, and have gotten yourself a name, as at this day:
2:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡμάρτομεν ἠσεβήσαμεν ἠδικήσαμεν κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐπὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς δικαιώμασίν σου
peccavimus , impie egimus , inique gessimus , Domine Deus noster , in omnibus justitiis tuis .
አበስነ ፡ ወገበርነ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ሕሡመ ፡ ገበርነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጽድቅ ።
O Lord our God, we have sinned, we have done ungodly, we have dealt unrighteously in all your ordinances.
2:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀποστραφήτω ὁ θυμός σου ἀφ’ ἡμῶν ὅτι κατελείφθημεν ὀλίγοι ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὗ διέσπειρας ἡμᾶς ἐκεῖ
Avertatur ira tua a nobis , quia derelicti sumus pauci inter gentes ubi dispersisti nos .
አቊርር ፡ መዐተከ ፡ እምኔነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኅዳጥ ፡ ተረፍነ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ዘሮከነ ፡ ህየ ።
Let your wrath turn from us: for we are but a few left among the heathen, where you have scattered us.
2:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰσάκουσον κύριε τῆς προσευχῆς ἡμῶν καὶ τῆς δεήσεως ἡμῶν καὶ ἐξελοῦ ἡμᾶς ἕνεκεν σοῦ καὶ δὸς ἡμῖν χάριν κατὰ πρόσωπον τῶν ἀποικισάντων ἡμᾶς
Exaudi , Domine , preces nostras et orationes nostras , et educ nos propter te , et da nobis invenire gratiam ante faciem eorum qui nos abduxerunt :
ስማዕ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ስእለተነ ፡ ወጸሎትነ ፡ ወአድኅነነ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ስምከ ፡ ወሀበነ ፡ ንርከብ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጾሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ፄወዉነ ።
Hear our prayer, O Lord, and our petition, and deliver us for your own sake, and give us favor in the sight of them which have led us away captive:
2:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἵνα γνῷ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ ὅτι σὺ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ὅτι τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπεκλήθη ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ γένος αὐτοῦ
ut sciat omnis terra quia tu es Dominus Deus noster , et quia nomen tuum invocatum est super Israël , et super genus ipsius .
ከመ ፡ ታእምር ፡ ኵላ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ አንተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተጸውዐ ፡ ስምከ ፡ በላዕለ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወበላዕለ ፡ ዘመዱ ።
that all the earth may know that you are the Lord our God, because Israel and his posterity is called by your name.
2:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ κύριε κάτιδε ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἁγίου σου καὶ ἐννόησον εἰς ἡμᾶς κλῖνον κύριε τὸ οὖς σου καὶ ἄκουσον
Respice , Domine , de domo sancta tua in nos , et inclina aurem tuam , et exaudi nos .
ነጽር ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ እምቤተ ፡ መቅደስከ ፡ ወአጽምዕ ፡ እዝነከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ኀቤነ ፡ ወስምዐነ ።
O Lord, look down from your holy house, and consider us: incline your ear, O Lord, and hear:
2:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἄνοιξον κύριε τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἰδέ ὅτι οὐχ οἱ τεθνηκότες ἐν τῷ ᾅδῃ ὧν ἐλήμφθη τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν σπλάγχνων αὐτῶν δώσουσιν δόξαν καὶ δικαίωμα τῷ κυρίῳ
Aperi oculos tuos et vide : quia non mortui qui sunt in inferno , quorum spiritus acceptus est a visceribus suis , dabunt honorem et justificationem Domino :
ክሥት ፡ አዕይንተከ ፡ ወርኢ ፡ እስመ ፡ አኮ ፡ ሙታን ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሲኦል ፡ እለ ፡ መንፈሶሙ ፡ ወፅአት ፡ እምከርሦሙ ፡ ዘይሴብሑከ ፡ ወይገንዩ ፡ ለከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
open your eyes, and behold: for the dead that are in the grave, whose breath is taken from their bodies, will give to the Lord neither glory nor righteousness:
2:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀλλὰ ἡ ψυχὴ ἡ λυπουμένη ἐπὶ τὸ μέγεθος ὃ βαδίζει κύπτον καὶ ἀσθενοῦν καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ οἱ ἐκλείποντες καὶ ἡ ψυχὴ ἡ πεινῶσα δώσουσίν σοι δόξαν καὶ δικαιοσύνην κύριε
sed anima quæ tristis est super magnitudine mali , et incedit curva et infirma , et oculi deficientes , et anima esuriens , dat tibi gloriam et justitiam Domino .
ዳእሙ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ትክዝት ፡ በብዝኀ ፡ ምንዳቤ ፡ ዘተሐውር ፡ ኅዝንታ ፡ ወሕምምታ ፡ ወአዕይንት ፡ ዘለከዋ ፡ ወነፍስ ፡ ርኅብት ፡ የአኵታከ ፡ ወይገንያ ፡ ለጽድቅከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
but the soul that is greatly vexed, which goes stooping and feeble, and the eyes that fail, and the hungry soul, will give you glory and righteousness, O Lord.
2:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι οὐκ ἐπὶ τὰ δικαιώματα τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν καὶ τῶν βασιλέων ἡμῶν ἡμεῖς καταβάλλομεν τὸν ἔλεον ἡμῶν κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν
Quia non secundum justitias patrum nostrorum nos fundimus preces et petimus misericordiam ante conspectum tuum , Domine Deus noster :
እስመ ፡ አኮ ፡ በከመ ፡ ጽድቆሙ ፡ ለአበዊነ ፡ ወነገሥታቲነ ፡ ዘሰአልነ ፡ ምሕረተ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ።
For we do not present our supplication before you, O Lord our God, for the righteousness of our fathers, and of our kings.
2:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι ἐνῆκας τὸν θυμόν σου καὶ τὴν ὀργήν σου εἰς ἡμᾶς καθάπερ ἐλάλησας ἐν χειρὶ τῶν παίδων σου τῶν προφητῶν λέγων
sed quia misisti iram tuam et furorem tuum super nos , sicut locutus es in manu puerorum tuorum prophetarum , dicens :
እስመ ፡ ፈኖከ ፡ መዐተከ ፡ ወመቅሠፍተከ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ በከመ ፡ ነበብከ ፡ በእደ ፡ አግብርቲከ ፡ ነቢያት ።
For you have sent your wrath and your indignation upon us, as you have spoken by your servants the prophets, saying,
2:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος κλίνατε τὸν ὦμον ὑμῶν καὶ ἐργάσασθε τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος καὶ καθίσατε ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἣν ἔδωκα τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν
Sic dicit Dominus : Inclinate humerum vestrum et cervicem vestram , et opera facite regi Babylonis , et sedebitis in terra quam dedi patribus vestris .
ከመ ፡ ዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አድንኑ ፡ መትከፍተክሙ ፡ ወተቀነዩ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወትነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀብክዎሙ ፡ ለአበዊክሙ ።
Thus says the Lord, Bow your shoulders to serve the king of Babylon, and remain in the land that I gave to your fathers.
2:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούσητε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου ἐργάσασθαι τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος
Quod si non audieritis vocem Domini Dei vestri , operari regi Babyloniæ , defectionem vestram faciam de civitatibus Juda , et a foris Jerusalem ,
ወእመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢተቀነይክሙ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
But if you⌃ will not hear the voice of the Lord, to serve the king of Babylon,
2:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐκλείψειν ποιήσω ἐκ πόλεων Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ φωνὴν εὐφροσύνης καὶ φωνὴν χαρμοσύνης φωνὴν νυμφίου καὶ φωνὴν νύμφης καὶ ἔσται πᾶσα ἡ γῆ εἰς ἄβατον ἀπὸ ἐνοικούντων
et auferam a vobis vocem jucunditatis et vocem gaudii , et vocem sponsi et vocem sponsæ , et erit omnis terra sine vestigio ab inhabitantibus eam .
የኀልቅ ፡ እምነ ፡ አህጉረ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወእምአፍአሃ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ቃለ ፡ ትፍሥሕት ፡ ወኃሤት ፡ ቃለ ፡ መርዓዊ ፡ ወመርዓት ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ በድወ ፡ እምእለ ፡ የኀድርዎ ።
I will cause to cease out of the cities of Judah, and from without Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: and the whole land shall be desolate without inhabitant.
2:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ οὐκ ἠκούσαμεν τῆς φωνῆς σου ἐργάσασθαι τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἔστησας τοὺς λόγους σου οὓς ἐλάλησας ἐν χερσὶν τῶν παίδων σου τῶν προφητῶν τοῦ ἐξενεχθῆναι τὰ ὀστᾶ βασιλέων ἡμῶν καὶ τὰ ὀστᾶ τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῶν
Et non audierunt vocem tuam , ut operarentur regi Babylonis : et statuisti verba tua , quæ locutus es in manibus puerorum tuorum prophetarum , ut transferrentur ossa regum nostrorum et ossa patrum nostrorum de loco suo :
ወኢሰማዕነ ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ወኢተቀነይነ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
But we would not hearken to your voice, to serve the king of Babylon: therefore have you made good your words that you spoke by your servants the prophets, namely, that the bones of our kings, and the bones of our fathers, should be taken out of their places.
2:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδού ἐστιν ἐξερριμμένα τῷ καύματι τῆς ἡμέρας καὶ τῷ παγετῷ τῆς νυκτός καὶ ἀπεθάνοσαν ἐν πόνοις πονηροῖς ἐν λιμῷ καὶ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καὶ ἐν ἀποστολῇ
et ecce projecta sunt in calore solis et in gelu noctis , et mortui sunt in doloribus pessimis , in fame et in gladio , et in emissione .
ወናሁ ፡ ገደፍዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዋዕየ ፡ መዓልት ፡ ወቊረ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ተፄወውነ ፡ ወሞትነ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ሞተ ፡ በረኃብ ፡ ወበኵናት ።
And, behold, they are cast out to the heat by day, and to the frost by night, and they died in great miseries by famine, by sword, and by pestilence.
2:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔθηκας τὸν οἶκον οὗ ἐπεκλήθη τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπ’ αὐτῷ ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη διὰ πονηρίαν οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ οἴκου Ιουδα
Et posuisti templum in quo invocatum est nomen tuum in ipso sicut hæc dies , propter iniquitatem domus Israël et domus Juda .
ወሐነጽከ ፡ መቅደስ ፡ ዘበውስቴቱ ፡ ተጸውዐ ፡ ስምከ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ።
And the house which is called by your name have you laid waste, as at this day, for the wickedness of the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
2:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐποίησας εἰς ἡμᾶς κύριε ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν κατὰ πᾶσαν ἐπιείκειάν σου καὶ κατὰ πάντα οἰκτιρμόν σου τὸν μέγαν
Et fecisti in nobis , Domine Deus noster , secundum omnem bonitatem tuam et secundum omnem miserationem tuam illam magnam :
ወገበርከ ፡ ላዕሌነ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ አምላክነ ፡ በከመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ኂሩትከ ፡ ወበከመ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሣህልከ ፡ ዐቢይ ።
Yet, O Lord our God, you have dealt with us after all your kindness, and according to all that great mercy of your,
2:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ καθὰ ἐλάλησας ἐν χειρὶ παιδός σου Μωυσῆ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἐντειλαμένου σου αὐτῷ γράψαι τὸν νόμον σου ἐναντίον υἱῶν Ισραηλ λέγων
sicut locutus es in manu pueri tui Moysi , in die qua præcepisti ei scribere legem tuam coram filiis Israël ,
በከመ ፡ ነበብከ ፡ በእደ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቊልዔከ ፡ በዕለት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ አዘዝኮ ፡ ይጽሐፍ ፡ ሕገከ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እንዘ ፡ ትትብል ።
as you spoke by your servant Moses in the day when you did command him to write your law before the children of Israel, saying,
2:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούσητε τῆς φωνῆς μου ἦ μὴν ἡ βόμβησις ἡ μεγάλη ἡ πολλὴ αὕτη ἀποστρέψει εἰς μικρὰν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὗ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ
dicens : Si non audieritis vocem meam , multitudo hæc magna convertetur in minimam inter gentes , quo ego eos dispergam :
ለእመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃልየ ፡ አማነ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ብዝኀክሙ ፡ ትትመየጥ ፡ ለኅዳጥ ፡ በማእከለ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ እዘርወክሙ ።
If you⌃ will not hear my voice, surely this very great multitude shall be turned into a small number among the nations, where I will scatter them.
2:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι ἔγνων ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἀκούσωσίν μου ὅτι λαὸς σκληροτράχηλός ἐστιν καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσιν ἐπὶ καρδίαν αὐτῶν ἐν γῇ ἀποικισμοῦ αὐτῶν
quia scio quod me non audiet populus : populus est enim dura cervice . Et convertetur ad cor suum in terra captivitatis suæ ,
ወአእመርክዎሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይሰምዑኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ጽኑዓነ ፡ ክሳድ ፡ እሙንቱ ።
For I know that they will not hear me, because it is a stiff-necked people: but in the land of their captivity they shall take it to heart,
2:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν καὶ δώσω αὐτοῖς καρδίαν καὶ ὦτα ἀκούοντα
et scient quia ego sum Dominus Deus eorum : et dabo eis cor , et intelligent ; aures , et audient :
ወየአምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኮሙ ።
and shall know that I am the Lord their God: and I will give them a heart, and ears to hear:
2:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ αἰνέσουσίν με ἐν γῇ ἀποικισμοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ μνησθήσονται τοῦ ὀνόματός μου
et laudabunt me in terra captivitatis suæ , et memores erunt nominis mei ,
ወይሴብሑኒ ፡ በብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ አፍለስክዎሙ ፡ ወይዜከሩ ፡ ስምየ ።
and they shall praise me in the land of their captivity, and think upon my name,
2:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀποστρέψουσιν ἀπὸ τοῦ νώτου αὐτῶν τοῦ σκληροῦ καὶ ἀπὸ πονηρῶν πραγμάτων αὐτῶν ὅτι μνησθήσονται τῆς ὁδοῦ πατέρων αὐτῶν τῶν ἁμαρτόντων ἔναντι κυρίου
et avertent se a dorso suo duro , et a malignitatibus suis : quia reminiscentur viam patrum suorum , qui peccaverunt in me .
ወይትመየጡ ፡ እምጽኑዕ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ወእምእኩይ ፡ ምግባሮሙ ፡ ወይዜከሩ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ አበዊሆሙ ፡ እለ ፡ አበሱ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
and shall return from their stiff neck, and from their wicked deeds: for they shall remember the way of their fathers, which sinned before the Lord.
2:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀποστρέψω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν τῷ Αβρααμ καὶ τῷ Ισαακ καὶ τῷ Ιακωβ καὶ κυριεύσουσιν αὐτῆς καὶ πληθυνῶ αὐτούς καὶ οὐ μὴ σμικρυνθῶσιν
Et revocabo illos in terram quam juravi patribus eorum , Abraham , Isaac , et Jacob : et dominabuntur ejus , et multiplicabo eos , et non minorabuntur :
ወአገብኦሙ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ኀበ ፡ መሐልኩ ፡ ለአበዊሆሙ ፡ ለአብርሃም ፡ ወለይስሐቅ ፡ ወለያዕቆብ ፡ ወይኴንንዋ ፡ ወአበዝኆሙ ፡ ወኢይውሕዱ ።
And I will bring them again into the land which I sware to their fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and they shall be lords of it: and I will increase them, and they shall not be diminished.
2:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ στήσω αὐτοῖς διαθήκην αἰώνιον τοῦ εἶναί με αὐτοῖς εἰς θεὸν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ οὐ κινήσω ἔτι τὸν λαόν μου Ισραηλ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἧς ἔδωκα αὐτοῖς
et statuam illis testamentum alterum sempiternum , ut sim illis in Deum , et ipsi erunt mihi in populum : et non movebo amplius populum meum , filios Israël , a terra quam dedi illis .
ወእሠርዕ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ሥርዓተ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ ከመ ፡ እኩኖሙ ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ ወእሙንቱኒ ፡ ይከውኑኒ ፡ ሕዝብየ ።
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them to be their God, and they shall be my people: and I will no more remove my people of Israel out of the land that I have given them.
