25:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִי֩ בִשְׁנַ֨ת הַתְּשִׁיעִ֜ית לְמׇלְכ֗וֹ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָעֲשִׂירִי֮ בֶּעָשׂ֣וֹר לַחֹ֒דֶשׁ֒ בָּ֠א נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֨ר מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֜ל ה֧וּא וְכׇל ־חֵיל֛וֹ עַל ־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וַיִּ֣חַן עָלֶ֑יהָ וַיִּבְנ֥וּ עָלֶ֛יהָ דָּיֵ֖ק סָבִֽיב ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἐνάτῳ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δεκάτῳ ἦλθεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος καὶ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ παρενέβαλεν ἐπ’ αὐτὴν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐπ’ αὐτὴν περίτειχος κύκλῳ
Factum est autem anno nono regni ejus , mense decimo , decima die mensis , venit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis , ipse et omnis exercitus ejus , in Jerusalem , et circumdederunt eam : et exstruxerunt in circuitu ejus munitiones .
ወአመ ፡ ታስዕ ፡ ክረምተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ በዓሥር ፡ ወርኅ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ናቡከደናጾር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሰራዊቱ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወተዐየነ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ወሐጸራ ።
In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it around it.
25:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתָּבֹ֥א הָעִ֖יר בַּמָּצ֑וֹר עַ֚ד עַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ ׃
καὶ ἦλθεν ἡ πόλις ἐν περιοχῇ ἕως τοῦ ἑνδεκάτου ἔτους τοῦ βασιλέως Σεδεκιου
Et clausa est civitas atque vallata usque ad undecimum annum regis Sedeciae ,
ወተጸወነት ፡ ሀገር ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ፲ወ፩ዓመተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ለሴዴቅያን ፡ እስከ ፡ ፱ሠረቀ ፡ ወርኅ ።
So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
25:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּתִשְׁעָ֣ה לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב בָּעִ֑יר וְלֹא ־הָ֥יָה לֶ֖חֶם לְעַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
ἐνάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν ὁ λιμὸς ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν ἄρτοι τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς
nona die mensis : praevaluitque fames in civitate , nec erat panis populo terrae .
ወኮነ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ረኃብ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ እክለ ፡ ለአሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ።
On the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
25:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּבָּקַ֣ע הָעִ֗יר וְכׇל ־אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה ׀הַלַּ֙יְלָה֙ דֶּ֜רֶךְ שַׁ֣עַר ׀ בֵּ֣ין הַחֹמֹתַ֗יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל ־גַּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְכַשְׂדִּ֥ים עַל ־הָעִ֖יר סָבִ֑יב וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐρράγη ἡ πόλις καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ πολέμου ἐξῆλθον νυκτὸς ὁδὸν πύλης τῆς ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν τειχέων αὕτη ἥ ἐστιν τοῦ κήπου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ οἱ Χαλδαῖοι ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν κύκλῳ καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὁδὸν τὴν Αραβα
Et interrupta est civitas : et omnes viri bellatores nocte fugerunt per viam portae quae est inter duplicem murum ad hortum regis . Porro Chaldaei obsidebant in circuitu civitatem . Fugit itaque Sedecias per viam quae ducit ad campestria solitudinis .
ወተገፍትአት ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዕደው ፡ መስተቃትላን ፡ ወፅኡ ፡ በሌሊት ፡ በፍኖተ ፡ አንቀጽ ፡ ማእከላዊ ፡ እንተ ፡ መንገለ ፡ ገነቱ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ወዐገትዋ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ለሀገር ፡ ወእሙንቱሰ ፡ ወፅኡ ፡ እንተ ፡ ዐረቦት ።
Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city around it); and the king went by the way of the Arabah.
25:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּ חֵיל ־כַּשְׂדִּים֙ אַחַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיַּשִּׂ֥גוּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעַֽרְב֣וֹת יְרֵח֑וֹ וְכׇ֨ל ־חֵיל֔וֹ נָפֹ֖צוּ מֵעָלָֽיו ׃
καὶ ἐδίωξεν ἡ δύναμις τῶν Χαλδαίων ὀπίσω τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ κατέλαβον αὐτὸν ἐν Αραβωθ Ιεριχω καὶ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ διεσπάρη ἐπάνωθεν αὐτοῦ
Et persecutus est exercitus Chaldaeorum regem , comprehenditque eum in planitie Jericho : et omnes bellatores qui erant cum eo , dispersi sunt , et reliquerunt eum .
ወዴገንዎ ፡ ሰራዊተ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወተለውዎ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ወአኀዝዎ ፡ በዐረቦት ፡ ዘኢያሪኮ ፡ ወጐዩ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሰብኡ ፡ ወኀደግዎ ።
But the Chaldean army pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
25:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂוּ֙ אֶת ־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיַּעֲל֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ אֶל ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל רִבְלָ֑תָה וַיְדַבְּר֥וּ אִתּ֖וֹ מִשְׁפָּֽט ׃
καὶ συνέλαβον τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Δεβλαθα καὶ ἐλάλησεν μετ’ αὐτοῦ κρίσιν
Apprehensum ergo regem duxerunt ad regem Babylonis in Reblatha : qui locutus est cum eo judicium .
ወአኀዝዎ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ወወሰድዎ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ዴብለታ ፡ ወተናገሮ ።
Then they captured the king and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they passed judgment on him.
25:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־בְּנֵי֙ צִדְקִיָּ֔הוּ שָׁחֲט֖וּ לְעֵינָ֑יו וְאֶת ־עֵינֵ֤י צִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ עִוֵּ֔ר וַיַּאַסְרֵ֙הוּ֙ בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם וַיְבִאֵ֖הוּ בָּבֶֽל ׃ {ס}
καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Σεδεκιου ἔσφαξεν κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς Σεδεκιου ἐξετύφλωσεν καὶ ἔδησεν αὐτὸν ἐν πέδαις καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα
Filios autem Sedeciae occidit coram eo , et oculos ejus effodit , vinxitque eum catenis , et adduxit in Babylonem .
ወረገዞሙ ፡ ለደቂቁ ፡ በቅድሜሁ ፡ ወአዕወሮ ፡ ለሴዴቅያን ፡ ወሞቅሖ ፡ ወወሰዶ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
They killed Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes, bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
25:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבַחֹ֤דֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁי֙ בְּשִׁבְעָ֣ה לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ הִ֗יא שְׁנַת֙ תְּשַֽׁע ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֑ל בָּ֞א נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֧ן רַב ־טַבָּחִ֛ים עֶ֥בֶד מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֖ל יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ ἑβδόμῃ τοῦ μηνός αὐτὸς ἐνιαυτὸς ἐννεακαιδέκατος τῷ Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος ἦλθεν Ναβουζαρδαν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος ἑστὼς ἐνώπιον βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Ιερουσαλημ
Mense quinto , septima die mensis , ipse est annus nonusdecimus regis Babylonis , venit Nabuzardan princeps exercitus , servus regis Babylonis , in Jerusalem .
ወአመ ፡ ሰቡዑ ፡ ለሠርቀ ፡ ሳብዕ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ አመ ፡ ፲ወ፱ዓመተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ ለናቡከደናጾር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ መጽአ ፡ ናቡዛርዳን ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላኑ ፡ ለንጉሥ ፡ ዘይቀውም ፡ ቅድሜሁ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ።
Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
25:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׂרֹ֥ף אֶת ־בֵּית ־יְהֹוָ֖ה וְאֶת ־בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְאֵ֨ת כׇּל ־בָּתֵּ֧י יְרוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־בֵּ֥ית גָּד֖וֹל שָׂרַ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ ׃
καὶ ἐνέπρησεν τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ πάντας τοὺς οἴκους Ιερουσαλημ καὶ πᾶν οἶκον ἐνέπρησεν
Et succendit domum Domini , et domum regis : et domos Jerusalem , omnemque domum combussit igni .
ወአውዐየ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወቤተ ፡ ንጉሥኒ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወአውዐየ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላኒሁ ፡ ለንጉሥ ።
He burned Yahweh’s house, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned every great house with fire.
25:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־חוֹמֹ֥ת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם סָבִ֑יב נָֽתְצוּ֙ כׇּל ־חֵ֣יל כַּשְׂדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר רַב ־טַבָּחִֽים ׃
ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος
Et muros Jerusalem in circuitu destruxit omnis exercitus Chaldaeorum , qui erat cum principe militum .
ወነሠቱ ፡ አረፍተ ፡ ጥቅማ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ሰራዊቶሙ ፡ ለፋርስ ።
All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.
25:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵת֩ יֶ֨תֶר הָעָ֜ם הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים בָּעִ֗יר וְאֶת ־הַנֹּֽפְלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָֽפְלוּ֙ עַל ־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֵ֖ת יֶ֣תֶר הֶהָמ֑וֹן הֶגְלָ֕ה נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֖ן רַב ־טַבָּחִֽים ׃
καὶ τὸ περισσὸν τοῦ λαοῦ τὸ καταλειφθὲν ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ τοὺς ἐμπεπτωκότας οἳ ἐνέπεσον πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος καὶ τὸ λοιπὸν τοῦ στηρίγματος μετῆρεν Ναβουζαρδαν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος
Reliquam autem populi partem quae remanserat in civitate , et perfugas qui transfugerant ad regem Babylonis , et reliquum vulgus transtulit Nabuzardan princeps militiae .
ወዘተረፈሂ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወእለኒ ፡ ሖሩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወባዕደኒ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘተረፈ ፡ እፍለሶሙ ፡ ናቡዛርዳን ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ከራሜ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ኤሬቢ ።
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive the rest of the people who were left in the city and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon—all the rest of the multitude.
25:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמִדַּלַּ֣ת הָאָ֔רֶץ הִשְׁאִ֖יר רַב ־טַבָּחִ֑ים לְכֹרְמִ֖ים וּלְיֹגְבִֽים ׃
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πτωχῶν τῆς γῆς ὑπέλιπεν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος εἰς ἀμπελουργοὺς καὶ εἰς γαβιν
Et de pauperibus terrae reliquit vinitores et agricolas .
ወእምውስተ ፡ ነዳያነ ፡ ብሔር ፡ አትረፈ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላን ፡ ለዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወለማሕረስ ።
But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields.
25:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־עַמּוּדֵ֨י הַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֣ר בֵּית ־יְהֹוָ֗ה וְֽאֶת ־הַמְּכֹנ֞וֹת וְאֶת ־יָ֧ם הַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּבֵית ־יְהֹוָ֖ה שִׁבְּר֣וּ כַשְׂדִּ֑ים וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֶת ־נְחֻשְׁתָּ֖ם בָּבֶֽלָה ׃
καὶ τοὺς στύλους τοὺς χαλκοῦς τοὺς ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου καὶ τὰς μεχωνωθ καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν χαλκῆν τὴν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου συνέτριψαν οἱ Χαλδαῖοι καὶ ἦραν τὸν χαλκὸν αὐτῶν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα
Columnas autem aereas quae erant in templo Domini , et bases , et mare aereum quod erat in domo Domini , confregerunt Chaldaei , et transtulerunt aes omne in Babylonem .
ወአዕማደ ፡ ብርትኒ ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወሜኬኖተ ፡ ወባሕረ ፡ ብርት ፡ ዘቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሰበርዎ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወአእተውዎ ፡ ብርቶ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of bronze that were in Yahweh’s house and the bases and the bronze sea that were in Yahweh’s house, and carried the bronze pieces to Babylon.
25:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־הַסִּירֹ֨ת וְאֶת ־הַיָּעִ֜ים וְאֶת ־הַֽמְזַמְּר֣וֹת וְאֶת ־הַכַּפּ֗וֹת וְאֵ֨ת כׇּל ־כְּלֵ֧י הַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְשָֽׁרְתוּ ־בָ֖ם לָקָֽחוּ ׃
καὶ τοὺς λέβητας καὶ τὰ ιαμιν καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὰς θυίσκας καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ χαλκᾶ ἐν οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔλαβεν
Ollas quoque aereas , et trullas , et tridentes , et scyphos , et mortariola , et omnia vasa aerea , in quibus ministrabant , tulerunt .
ወጸሀርትኒ ፡ ወኢያሚን ፡ ወፍያላትኒ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ብርት ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ይገብሩ ፡ ነሥኡ ።
They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.
25:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶת ־הַמַּחְתּוֹת֙ וְאֶת ־הַמִּזְרָק֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֤ר זָהָב֙ זָהָ֔ב וַאֲשֶׁר ־כֶּ֖סֶף כָּ֑סֶף לָקַ֖ח רַב ־טַבָּחִֽים ׃
καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα καὶ τὰς φιάλας τὰς χρυσᾶς καὶ τὰς ἀργυρᾶς ἔλαβεν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος
Necnon et thuribula , et phialas : quae aurea , aurea , et quae argentea , argentea tulit princeps militiae ,
ወመዓጥነ ፡ ወፍያላተ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ወዘብሩር ፡ ነሥአ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላን ።
The captain of the guard took away the fire pans, the basins, that which was of gold, for gold, and that which was of silver, for silver.
25:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָעַמּוּדִ֣ים ׀ שְׁנַ֗יִם הַיָּ֤ם הָֽאֶחָד֙ וְהַמְּכֹנ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר ־עָשָׂ֥ה שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה לֹא ־הָיָ֣ה מִשְׁקָ֔ל לִנְחֹ֖שֶׁת כׇּל ־הַכֵּלִ֥ים הָאֵֽלֶּה ׃
στύλους δύο ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μία καὶ τὰ μεχωνωθ ἃ ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου οὐκ ἦν σταθμὸς τοῦ χαλκοῦ πάντων τῶν σκευῶν
id est , columnas duas , mare unum , et bases quas fecerat Salomon in templo Domini : non erat pondus aeris omnium vasorum .
አዕማድ ፡ ክልኤ ፡ ወባሕር ፡ አሐቲ ፡ ወሜኬኖት ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ሰሎሞን ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ መድሎተ ፡ ብርቱ ።
The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases, which Solomon had made for Yahweh’s house, the bronze of all these vessels was not weighed.
25:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ שְׁמֹנֶה֩ עֶשְׂרֵ֨ה אַמָּ֜ה קוֹמַ֣ת ׀ הָעַמּ֣וּד הָאֶחָ֗ד וְכֹתֶ֨רֶת עָלָ֥יו ׀נְחֹ֘שֶׁת֮ וְקוֹמַ֣ת הַכֹּתֶ֘רֶת֮ שָׁלֹ֣שׁ (אמה ) [אַמּוֹת֒ ] וּשְׂבָכָ֨ה וְרִמֹּנִ֧ים עַֽל ־הַכֹּתֶ֛רֶת סָבִ֖יב הַכֹּ֣ל נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְכָאֵ֛לֶּה לַעַמּ֥וּד הַשֵּׁנִ֖י עַל ־הַשְּׂבָכָֽה ׃
ὀκτωκαίδεκα πήχεων ὕψος τοῦ στύλου τοῦ ἑνός καὶ τὸ χωθαρ ἐπ’ αὐτοῦ τὸ χαλκοῦν καὶ τὸ ὕψος τοῦ χωθαρ τριῶν πήχεων σαβαχα καὶ ῥοαὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ χωθαρ κύκλῳ τὰ πάντα χαλκᾶ καὶ κατὰ τὰ αὐτὰ τῷ στύλῳ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἐπὶ τῷ σαβαχα
Decem et octo cubitos altitudinis habebat columna una : et capitellum aereum super se altitudinis trium cubitorum : et retiaculum , et malogranata super capitellum columnae , omnia aerea : similem et columna secunda habebat ornatum .
፲ወ፰በእመት ፡ ኑኁ ፡ ለለ፩ ፡ ዐምድ ፡ ወከታር ፡ ዘብርት ፡ መልዕልቱ ፡ ወቆሙ ፡ ለከታር ፡ ፫በእመት ፡ ወሰቃራር ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ከታር ፡ ወ፩ኵሉ ፡ ዘብርት ፡ ወከማሁ ፡ ዘካልኡኒ ፡ ዐምድ ፡ ወ፻ጽጌያት ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ሰባኬ ፡ ዐውዱ ።
The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a capital of bronze was on it. The height of the capital was three cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital around it, all of bronze; and the second pillar with its network was like these.
25:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקַּ֣ח רַב ־טַבָּחִ֗ים אֶת ־שְׂרָיָה֙ כֹּהֵ֣ן הָרֹ֔אשׁ וְאֶת ־צְפַנְיָ֖הוּ כֹּהֵ֣ן מִשְׁנֶ֑ה וְאֶת ־שְׁלֹ֖שֶׁת שֹׁמְרֵ֥י הַסַּֽף ׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος τὸν Σαραιαν ἱερέα τὸν πρῶτον καὶ τὸν Σοφονιαν υἱὸν τῆς δευτερώσεως καὶ τοὺς τρεῖς τοὺς φυλάσσοντας τὸν σταθμὸν
Tulit quoque princeps militiae Saraiam sacerdotem primum , et Sophoniam sacerdotem secundum , et tres janitores .
ወነሥኦ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላን ፡ ለሴሬያ ፡ ለዐቢይ ፡ ካህን ፡ ወሰፎንያስ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ ዘእምታሕቴሁ ፡ ወለደላዊያን ።
The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold;
25:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמִן ־הָעִ֡יר לָקַח֩ סָרִ֨יס אֶחָ֜ד אֲֽשֶׁר ־ה֥וּא פָקִ֣יד ׀ עַל ־אַנְשֵׁ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה וַחֲמִשָּׁ֨ה אֲנָשִׁ֜ים מֵרֹאֵ֤י פְנֵֽי ־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִמְצְא֣וּ בָעִ֔יר וְאֵ֗ת הַסֹּפֵר֙ שַׂ֣ר הַצָּבָ֔א הַמַּצְבִּ֖א אֶת ־עַ֣ם הָאָ֑רֶץ וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים אִישׁ֙ מֵעַ֣ם הָאָ֔רֶץ הַֽנִּמְצְאִ֖ים בָּעִֽיר ׃
καὶ ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ἔλαβεν εὐνοῦχον ἕνα ὃς ἦν ἐπιστάτης ἐπὶ τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν πολεμιστῶν καὶ πέντε ἄνδρας τῶν ὁρώντων τὸ πρόσωπον τοῦ βασιλέως τοὺς εὑρεθέντας ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ τὸν γραμματέα τοῦ ἄρχοντος τῆς δυνάμεως τὸν ἐκτάσσοντα τὸν λαὸν τῆς γῆς καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἄνδρας τοῦ λαοῦ τῆς γῆς τοὺς εὑρεθέντας ἐν τῇ πόλει
Et de civitate eunuchum unum , qui erat praefectus super bellatores viros : et quinque viros de his qui steterant coram rege , quos reperit in civitate : et Sopher principem exercitus , qui probabat tyrones de populo terrae : et sexaginta viros e vulgo , qui inventi fuerant in civitate .
ወነሥአ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ፩ኅጽወ ፡ መልአከ ፡ ስረዊሆሙ ፡ ለመስተቃትላን ፡ ወ፮ዕደው ፡ እምእለ ፡ ይቀውሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ እለ ፡ ተረክቡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወጻሓፊሁ ፡ ለመልአክ ፡ ስረዊሆሙ ፡ ዘይኤዝዞሙ ፡ ለአሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወ፷ብእሲ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ እለ ፡ ተረክቡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገር ።
and out of the city he took an officer who was set over the men of war; and five men of those who saw the king’s face, who were found in the city; and the scribe, the captain of the army, who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city.
25:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֹתָ֔ם נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֖ן רַב ־טַבָּחִ֑ים וַיֹּ֧לֶךְ אֹתָ֛ם עַל ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל רִבְלָֽתָה ׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτοὺς Ναβουζαρδαν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος καὶ ἀπήγαγεν αὐτοὺς πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Δεβλαθα
Quos tollens Nabuzardan princeps militum , duxit ad regem Babylonis in Reblatha .
ወነሥኦሙ ፡ ናቡዛርዳን ፡ ሊቀ ፡ መብስላን ፡ ወወሰዶሙ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ዴብለታ ።
Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
25:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֣ךְ אֹתָם֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ בָּבֶ֧ל וַיְמִיתֵ֛ם בְּרִבְלָ֖ה בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חֲמָ֑ת וַיִּ֥גֶל יְהוּדָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל אַדְמָתֽוֹ ׃
καὶ ἔπαισεν αὐτοὺς βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτοὺς ἐν Δεβλαθα ἐν γῇ Αιμαθ καὶ ἀπῳκίσθη Ιουδας ἐπάνωθεν τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ
Percussitque eos rex Babylonis , et interfecit eos in Reblatha in terra Emath : et translatus est Juda de terra sua .
ወቀተሎሙ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ በዴብለታ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ኤማት ፡ ወአፍለሶሙ ፡ ለይሁዳ ፡ እምነ ፡ ብሔሮሙ ።
The king of Babylon attacked them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
25:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָעָ֗ם הַנִּשְׁאָר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִשְׁאִ֔יר נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל וַיַּפְקֵ֣ד עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֶת ־גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ בֶּן ־אֲחִיקָ֥ם בֶּן ־שָׁפָֽן ׃
καὶ ὁ λαὸς ὁ καταλειφθεὶς ἐν γῇ Ιουδα οὓς κατέλιπεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος καὶ κατέστησεν ἐπ’ αὐτῶν τὸν Γοδολιαν υἱὸν Αχικαμ υἱοῦ Σαφαν
Populo autem qui relictus erat in terra Juda , quem dimiserat Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis , praefecit Godoliam filium Ahicam filii Saphan .
ወለሕዝብሰ ፡ እለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ እለ ፡ አትረፈ ፡ ናቡከደነጾር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወሤሞ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ጎዶልያን ፡ ወልደ ፡ አኪቃም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሳፍን ።
As for the people who were left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor.
25:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ֩ כׇל ־שָׂרֵ֨י הַחֲיָלִ֜ים הֵ֣מָּה וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים כִּֽי ־הִפְקִ֤יד מֶֽלֶךְ ־בָּבֶל֙ אֶת ־גְּדַלְיָ֔הוּ וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ אֶל ־גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ הַמִּצְפָּ֑ה וְיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל בֶּן ־נְתַנְיָ֡ה וְיוֹחָנָ֣ן בֶּן ־קָ֠רֵ֠חַ וּשְׂרָיָ֨ה בֶן ־תַּנְחֻ֜מֶת הַנְּטֹפָתִ֗י וְיַאֲזַנְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן ־הַמַּ֣עֲכָתִ֔י הֵ֖מָּה וְאַנְשֵׁיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἤκουσαν πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες αὐτῶν ὅτι κατέστησεν βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος τὸν Γοδολιαν καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς Γοδολιαν εἰς Μασσηφαθ καὶ Ισμαηλ υἱὸς Ναθανιου καὶ Ιωαναν υἱὸς Καρηε καὶ Σαραιας υἱὸς Θανεμαθ ὁ Νετωφαθίτης καὶ Ιεζονιας υἱὸς τοῦ Μαχαθι αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες αὐτῶν
Quod cum audissent omnes duces militum , ipsi et viri qui erant cum eis , videlicet quod constituisset rex Babylonis Godoliam , venerunt ad Godoliam in Maspha , Ismahel filius Nathaniae , et Johanan filius Caree , et Saraia filius Thanehumeth Netophathites , et Jezonias filius Maachathi , ipsi et socii eorum .
ወሰምዑ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ሰራዊቶሙ ፡ ወአሕዛቢሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሤሞ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ለጎዶልያ ፡ ወሖሩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ጎዶልያ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሴፋ ፡ ወይስማኤል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናታንዩ ፡ ወዮሐናን ፡ ወልደ ፡ ቃሬሄ ፡ ወሴሬያ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ቴንሄሜት ፡ ፍትያዊ ፡ ወዖዝንያስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ መካት ፡ እሙንቱኒ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሰብአሙ ።
Now when all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
25:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּשָּׁבַ֨ע לָהֶ֤ם גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ וּלְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֔ם אַל ־תִּֽירְא֖וּ מֵעַבְדֵ֣י הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים שְׁב֣וּ בָאָ֗רֶץ וְעִבְד֛וּ אֶת ־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל וְיִטַ֥ב לָכֶֽם ׃ {פ}
καὶ ὤμοσεν Γοδολιας αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἀνδράσιν αὐτῶν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς μὴ φοβεῖσθε πάροδον τῶν Χαλδαίων καθίσατε ἐν τῇ γῇ καὶ δουλεύσατε τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος καὶ καλῶς ἔσται ὑμῖν
Juravitque Godolias ipsis et sociis eorum , dicens : Nolite timere servire Chaldaeis : manete in terra , et servite regi Babylonis , et bene erit vobis .
ወመሐለ ፡ ጎዶልያ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወለሰብኦሙ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ኢትፍርሁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ፋርስ ፤ ንበሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ወተቀነዩ ፡ ለንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ ወያሤኒ ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ።
Gedaliah swore to them and to their men, and said to them, “Don’t be afraid because of the servants of the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.”
25:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י בָּ֣א יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל בֶּן ־נְ֠תַנְיָ֠ה בֶּן ־אֱלִ֨ישָׁמָ֜ע מִזֶּ֣רַע הַמְּלוּכָ֗ה וַעֲשָׂרָ֤ה אֲנָשִׁים֙ אִתּ֔וֹ וַיַּכּ֥וּ אֶת ־גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ וַיָּמֹ֑ת וְאֶת ־הַיְּהוּדִים֙ וְאֶת ־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁר ־הָי֥וּ אִתּ֖וֹ בַּמִּצְפָּֽה ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ ἑβδόμῳ μηνὶ ἦλθεν Ισμαηλ υἱὸς Ναθανιου υἱοῦ Ελισαμα ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος τῶν βασιλέων καὶ δέκα ἄνδρες μετ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν Γοδολιαν καὶ ἀπέθανεν καὶ τοὺς Ιουδαίους καὶ τοὺς Χαλδαίους οἳ ἦσαν μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς Μασσηφαθ
Factum est autem in mense septimo , venit Ismahel filius Nathaniae filii Elisama de semine regio , et decem viri cum eo : percusseruntque Godoliam , qui et mortuus est : sed et Judaeos et Chaldaeos qui erant cum eo in Maspha .
ወአመ ፡ ሳብዕ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ይስማዔል ፡ ወልደ ፡ ናታንዩ ፡ ወልዶ ፡ ኤልስማ ፡ ወእምዘመደ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ ወ፲ዕደው ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወቀተሎ ፡ ለጎዶልያ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ወለአይሁድኒ ፡ ወለፋርስኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ሀለዉ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መሴፋት ።
But in the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal offspring came, and ten men with him, and struck Gedaliah so that he died, with the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.
25:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיָּקֻ֨מוּ כׇל ־הָעָ֜ם מִקָּטֹ֤ן וְעַד ־גָּדוֹל֙ וְשָׂרֵ֣י הַחֲיָלִ֔ים וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּ֥י יָֽרְא֖וּ מִפְּנֵ֥י כַשְׂדִּֽים ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀνέστη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἀπὸ μικροῦ καὶ ἕως μεγάλου καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν δυνάμεων καὶ εἰσῆλθον εἰς Αἴγυπτον ὅτι ἐφοβήθησαν ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν Χαλδαίων
Consurgensque omnis populus a parvo usque ad magnum , et principes militum , venerunt in Aegyptum timentes Chaldaeos .
ወተንሥኡ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ንኡሶሙ ፡ ወዐቢዮሙ ፡ ወመላእክተ ፡ ሰራዊቶሙኒ ፡ ወቦኡ ፡ ብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፈርህዎሙ ፡ ለፋርስ ።
All the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces arose and came to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
25:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִי֩ בִשְׁלֹשִׁ֨ים וָשֶׁ֜בַע שָׁנָ֗ה לְגָלוּת֙ יְהוֹיָכִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָ֔ה בִּשְׁנֵ֤ים עָשָׂר֙ חֹ֔דֶשׁ בְּעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָ֖ה לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ נָשָׂ֡א אֱוִ֣יל מְרֹדַךְ֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ בָּבֶ֜ל בִּשְׁנַ֣ת מׇלְכ֗וֹ אֶת ־רֹ֛אשׁ יְהוֹיָכִ֥ין מֶלֶךְ ־יְהוּדָ֖ה מִבֵּ֥ית כֶּֽלֶא ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ τριακοστῷ καὶ ἑβδόμῳ ἔτει τῆς ἀποικεσίας τοῦ Ιωακιμ βασιλέως Ιουδα ἐν τῷ δωδεκάτῳ μηνὶ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνὸς ὕψωσεν Ευιλμαρωδαχ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν Ιωακιμ βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ ἐξήγαγεν αὐτὸν ἐξ οἴκου φυλακῆς αὐτοῦ
Factum est vero in anno trigesimo septimo transmigrationis Joachin regis Juda , mense duodecimo , vigesima septima die mensis : sublevavit Evilmerodach rex Babylonis , anno quo regnare coeperat , caput Joachin regis Juda de carcere .
ወአመ ፡ ፴ወ፯ዓመት ፡ እምዘ ፡ ፈለሰ ፡ ኢዮአቄም ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሡሩ ፡ ወስኑዩ ፡ ለጽልመት ፡ በዓሥር ፡ ወርኅ ፡ አክበሮ ፡ ኤዌያል ፡ ማርዴቅ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ አመ ፡ ፩ዓመተ ፡ መንግሥቱ ፡ አክባሮ ፡ ለኢዮእቄም ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወአውፅኦ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ሞቅሕ ።
In the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison,
25:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ טֹב֑וֹת וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶת ־כִּסְא֔וֹ מֵעַ֗ל כִּסֵּ֧א הַמְּלָכִ֛ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ בְּבָבֶֽל ׃
καὶ ἐλάλησεν μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἀγαθὰ καὶ ἔδωκεν τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ἐπάνωθεν τῶν θρόνων τῶν βασιλέων τῶν μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν Βαβυλῶνι
Et locutus est ei benigne , et posuit thronum ejus super thronum regum qui erant cum eo in Babylone .
ወተናገሮ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወአዕበየ ፡ መንበሮ ፡ እመናብርተ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ እለ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባቢሎን ።
and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
25:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשִׁנָּ֕א אֵ֖ת בִּגְדֵ֣י כִלְא֑וֹ וְאָכַ֨ל לֶ֧חֶם תָּמִ֛יד לְפָנָ֖יו כׇּל ־יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו ׃
καὶ ἠλλοίωσεν τὰ ἱμάτια τῆς φυλακῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἤσθιεν ἄρτον διὰ παντὸς ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ
Et mutavit vestes ejus quas habuerat in carcere , et comedebat panem semper in conspectu ejus cunctis diebus vitae suae .
ወአልበሶ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ወይመስሕ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ዘልፈ ።
and changed his prison garments. Jehoiachin ate bread before him continually all the days of his life;
25:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲרֻחָת֗וֹ אֲרֻחַ֨ת תָּמִ֧יד נִתְּנָה ־לּ֛וֹ מֵאֵ֥ת הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ דְּבַר ־י֣וֹם בְּיוֹמ֑וֹ כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽו ׃
καὶ ἡ ἑστιατορία αὐτοῦ ἑστιατορία διὰ παντὸς ἐδόθη αὐτῷ ἐξ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ
Annonam quoque constituit ei sine intermissione , quae et dabatur ei a rege per singulos dies omnibus diebus vitae suae .
ወሲሳዮ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይነሥእ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ንጉሥ ፡ ወይሁብዎ ፡ እንተ ፡ ጸብሐት ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወቱ ።
and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him from the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.
