THREE PRAYERS (From the records of the monastery of St. Zeno of Halle in the diocese of Salzburg.) ON THE 12TH OF APRIL. On the Feast of St. Zeno, Bishop and Martyr. Collect.— Almighty and everlasting God, who didst sanctify blessed Zeno, prelate of the Church of Verona, from the womb, and didst grant him victory everywhere against the enemy of the human race, graciously grant that we sinners, by his merits and prayers, may be converted to Thee, and ever deserve to obtain victory against the lurking foe. Through our Lord. ON THE 21ST OF MAY. On the Feast of the Translation of St. Zeno, Bishop and Martyr. Collect.— Keeping with holy devotion the venerable day of the Translation of blessed
Zeno, Thy martyr and bishop, with holy devotion, we beseech Thy clemency with humble prayer, that, as Thou didst grant glory to him for his merits, so Thou mayest deign, with him interceding for our sins, to bestow pardon upon us. Through our Lord. ON THE 9TH OF DECEMBER. On the Feast of the Ordination of St. Zeno, bishop. Collect.— O God, who didst deign to choose blessed Zeno, Thy confessor and bishop, as an outstanding teacher and a preacher of the Catholic faith, grant, we beseech Thee, that, with him interceding for us, we may be stripped of the stains of our sins, and deserve to please Thee, O Lord, with sincere minds. Through our Lord.
