1:325
That he who has been chastened for his former sins, and has been deemed worthy of forgiveness, if he sins again, prepares for himself a judgment of wrath worse than the former
1:326
See, you have become well; sin no more, lest something worse happen to you
1:327
That, when some have fallen under the judgment of God's wrath, the rest must be instructed by fearing
1:328
Now there were present at that very time some who reported to him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices
1:329
And Jesus answered and said to them:
1:330
but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish
1:331
或是那西羅亞樓倒塌了,壓死的十八個人,你們以為他們比一切住在耶路撒冷的人更有罪嗎?我告訴你們,不是的;
Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them—do you think that they were more guilty than all the people who dwell in Jerusalem? No, I tell you;
1:332
but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish
1:333
亞拿尼亞聽見這話,就仆倒,斷了氣;
And Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last
1:334
And great fear came upon all who heard these things
1:335
Nor grumble, as some of them grumbled, and were destroyed by the destroyer
1:336
這些事發生在他們身上,成為鑒戒;
Now these things happened to them as types [examples];
1:337
and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come
1:338
That one is often, on account of pre-existing impiety, handed over even to the very works of wickedness for punishment
1:339
他們既然故意不認識神,神就任憑他們存邪僻的心,去行那些不合理的事;
And even as they did not see fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do the things that are not fitting
1:340
因為他們不領受那能使他們得救之真理的愛,所以神就給他們一個生發迷惑的力量,叫他們相信虛謊;
Because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved, therefore God sends them a working of error, that they should believe the lie
1:341
That it is not the multitude of sinners that moves God, but the one who is pleasing to him, whether it be a man or a woman
1:342
Truly I say to you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, so that a great famine came over all the land, and Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow
1:343
For I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink;
1:344
所喝的是出於隨行的靈磐石;
for they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them;
1:345
But God was not well pleased with most of them;
1:346
for they were struck down in the wilderness
1:347
論一切爭辯,縱使出於友善敬虔之心,也使爭辯者與主疏遠;
That every contradiction, even if it arises from a friendly and reverent disposition, alienates the one who contradicts from the Lord;
1:348
but every word of the Lord must be received with full assurance
1:349
And he began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded
1:350
Then he came to Simon Peter, and that one said to him:
1:351
Lord, do you wash my feet? Jesus answered and said to him:
1:352
What I am doing you do not know now, but you will know after these things.
1:353
You shall never wash my feet, forever.
1:354
If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.
1:355
That one must not follow the traditions of men so as to set aside the commandment of God.
1:356
Then the Pharisees and the scribes question him:
1:357
This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far removed from me.
1:358
In vain do they worship me, teaching as their teachings the precepts of men.
1:359
For leaving aside the commandment of God, you hold fast the tradition of men.
1:360
That one must keep, without any omission, all that has been handed down by the Lord through the Gospel and the apostles.
1:361
你們要去,使萬民作門徒,奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗;
Go, make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;
1:362
teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you.
1:363
And both were righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
1:364
聽從你們的,就是聽從我;
The one who hears you hears me;
1:365
and the one who rejects you rejects me.
1:366
So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold fast the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or by letter, as delivered through us.
1:367
論不當將自己的意願看得高過主的旨意;
That one must not approve one's own will above the will of the Lord;
1:368
but in every matter to seek and do the will of God.
1:369
For I do not seek my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me.
1:370
And kneeling down, he prayed, saying:
1:371
父啊,你若願意,就把這杯撤去;
Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me;
1:372
yet not my will, but yours, be done.
1:373
我們從前也都在其中,放縱肉體的私慾,隨從肉體和心中所喜好的去行;
Among whom we also all once lived, in the desires of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of our thoughts;
1:374
and we were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
1:375
That one must always be watchful, and ready in eagerness for the good works of God, knowing the peril of delay.
1:376
你們腰裡要束上帶,燈也要點著;
Let your loins be girded, and your lamps burning;
1:377
自己好像僕人等候主人從婚筵上回來;
and be like men waiting for their master, for when he will return from the wedding;
1:378
so that when he comes and knocks, they may open to him at once.
1:379
Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.
1:380
Truly I say to you, that he will gird himself, and have them recline at table, and will come and serve them.
1:381
And if he comes in the second watch, or comes in the third watch, and finds it so, blessed are those servants.
1:382
But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
1:383
You too, then, be ready, because the Son of Man comes at an hour you do not expect, and so forth.
1:384
弟兄們,論到時候、日期,不用寫信給你們;
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you;
1:385
for you yourselves know exactly that the day of the Lord comes just as a thief in the night.
1:386
That one must consider every season fitting for eagerness in the things that please God.
1:387
I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day.
1:388
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
1:389
That one must not mix together things that do not belong together, but must recognize the proper time of each thing done or said.
1:390
Then the disciples of John come to him, saying:
1:391
...the bridegroom... And then they will fast, in those days.
1:392
So then, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman;
1:393
Stand fast, therefore, in the freedom with which Christ has set us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of slavery.
1:394
That one must not, hoping in the achievements of others, neglect one's own affairs.
1:395
Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not presume to say within yourselves:
1:396
That those who live together with those who please God gain nothing, if they do not set right their own disposition, even though outwardly they preserve a resemblance to them.
1:397
Then the kingdom of heaven will be compared to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
1:398
Five of them were wise, and the five were foolish.
1:399
愚拙的拿著燈,卻不預備油;
The foolish, taking their lamps, did not take oil with them;
1:400
but the wise took oil in their vessels along with their lamps.
1:401
To which, a little later, he adds concerning the foolish:
1:402
Afterward the other virgins also come, saying:
1:403
Lord, Lord, open to us.
1:404
在那一夜,兩個人在一張床上;
In that night there will be two on one bed;
1:405
one will be taken, and the other will be left.
1:406
one will be taken, and the other will be left.
1:407
And answering they say to him:
1:408
Where, Lord? And he said to them:
1:409
Where the body is, there also the eagles will be gathered.
1:410
That one must, recognizing from the marks declared to us by Scripture what the present time is, order one's own affairs accordingly, conjecturing from this.
1:411
But learn the parable from the fig tree.
1:412
When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
1:413
So also you, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors.
1:414
你們看見西邊起了雲彩,就說,要下一陣雨;
When you see the cloud rising from the west, at once you say, A shower is coming;
1:415
起了南風,就說,將要燥熱;
And when a south wind blows, you say, There will be scorching heat;
1:416
Hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the earth and of the sky, but how is it that you do not discern this present time? — To the Corinthians
1:417
時候減少了,從此以後,那有妻子的,要像沒有妻子;
The time is henceforth shortened, so that those who have wives may be as though they had none;
1:418
哀哭的,要像不哀哭;
and those who weep, as though they wept not;
1:419
快樂的,要像不快樂;
and those who rejoice, as though they rejoiced not;
1:420
置買的,要像無有所得;
and those who buy, as though they possessed not;
1:421
用世界的人,要像不沉溺其中一樣;
and those who use the world, as though not engrossed in it;
1:422
for the outward form of this world is passing away
1:423
That one must do the commandments of God just as the Lord commanded
1:424
For the one who fails concerning the manner of the doing, even if he seems to keep the commandment, is disapproved before God
1:425
And he also said to the one who had invited him:
1:426
…your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and a repayment be made to you
1:427
But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you;
1:428
for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just
1:429
That one must not do the commandment of God for the sake of pleasing men, or on account of some other passion, but must in everything have as one's aim to please God, and to glorify God
1:430
你們要小心,不可將善事行在人面前,故意叫他們看見;
Take heed that you do not do your alms before men, to be seen by them;
1:431
otherwise you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven
1:432
So when you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be glorified by men
1:433
Truly I say to you, they have their reward. And so forth
1:434
So whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God
1:435
But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts
1:436
因為我們從來沒有用過諂媚的話,這是你們知道的;也沒有藉故貪心,這是神可以作見證的;
For we never came with words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness;
1:437
nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you, nor from others
1:438
That one must do the commandments of the Lord with a good conscience and disposition toward both God and men
1:439
For the one who does not do so has been condemned
1:440
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence
1:441
Blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of it may become clean also
1:442
He who gives, let him do so with simplicity
1:443
Do all things without murmurings and disputings
1:444
Now the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience
1:445
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, have made shipwreck concerning the faith
1:446
That the judgment concerning the reward for greater things is justified on the basis of faithfulness shown in lesser things
1:447
好,你這又良善又忠心的僕人,你在不多的事上有忠心,我要把許多事派你管理;
Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a little, I will set you over much;
1:448
enter into the joy of your lord
1:449
因為凡有的,還要加給他,叫他有餘;
For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance;
1:450
but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him
1:451
If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own? That one must do the commandments of the Lord with insatiable desire, always pressing on toward more
1:452
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
1:453
Brothers, I do not consider that I have yet laid hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind, and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus
1:454
That one must do the commandments of God in such a way that, as far as it depends on the doer, all may be enlightened, and God may be glorified
1:455
You are the light of the world
1:456
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;
1:457
nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house
1:458
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven
1:459
No one, having lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a stand, that those who enter may see the light
1:460
that you may be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness that come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God
1:461
第十九規 不當阻礙行神旨意的人,無論他是照神的誡命而行,或是照隨從誡命的道理而行;
RULE 19. That one must not hinder the one who does the will of God, whether according to a commandment of God, or according to a principle that follows the commandment;
1:462
nor indeed should the one who does it tolerate those who hinder him, even if they be genuine persons, but should persist in his judgment
1:463
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him
1:464
But John tried to prevent him, saying:
1:465
I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me? But Jesus answering said to him:
1:466
for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. And so forth
1:467
從此,耶穌才指示門徒,他必須上耶路撒冷去,受長老、祭司長、文士許多的苦;
From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes;
1:468
and be killed, and on the third day be raised
1:469
And Peter, taking him aside, began to rebuke him, saying:
1:470
But he, turning, said to Peter:
1:471
you are a stumbling block to me, because you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men
1:472
And they brought children to him, that he might touch them
1:473
But the disciples rebuked those who brought them
1:474
But Jesus, seeing this, was indignant, and said to them:
1:475
讓小孩子到我這裡來,不要禁止他們;
Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them;
1:476
for of such is the kingdom of heaven
1:477
And as we remained there many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea
1:478
And coming to us, and taking Paul's belt, and binding his own feet and hands, he said:
1:479
Thus says the Holy Spirit:
1:480
The man to whom this belt belongs, thus will the Jews at Jerusalem bind, and deliver into the hands of the Gentiles
1:481
And when we heard this, both we and the local residents begged him not to go up to Jerusalem
1:482
What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die for the name of the Lord Jesus
1:483
And since he would not be persuaded, we became silent, saying:
1:484
The will of the Lord be done
1:485
who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out, and do not please God, and are contrary to all men, hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins;
1:486
but wrath has come upon them to the utmost
1:487
行神誡命的人,縱然其存心並不健全,但就外表而言,仍持守著主教訓的精確,就這行為本身而論,並無人因此受害,有時甚至有人因此得益,故不應加以阻止;
That the one who does a commandment of God not from a sound disposition, yet in outward appearance preserving the exactness of the Lord's teaching, ought not to be hindered, since, as far as the deed itself is concerned, no one is harmed, and sometimes some are even benefited by it;
1:488
but he should be admonished to have a mind worthy of the good deed
1:489
So when you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues, and in the streets, that they may be glorified by men
1:490
Truly I say to you, they have their reward
1:491
你施捨的時候,不要叫左手知道右手所做的;
But when you do alms, let not your left hand know what your right hand does;
1:492
好使你的施捨行在隱密中;
so that your alms may be in secret;
1:493
and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
1:494
And likewise concerning prayer.
1:495
And John answered him, saying,
1:496
for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name and be able soon after to speak evil of me.
1:497
For he who is not against us is for us.
1:498
有人傳基督是出於嫉妒紛爭,也有人是出於善意;
Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, but some also out of good will;
1:499
這等人是出於愛心,知道我是為辯明福音而被派定的;
the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;
1:500
What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
1:501
That those who believe in the Lord must be baptized into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
1:502
你們要去,使萬民作我的門徒,奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗;
Go therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
1:503
我實實在在地告訴你:人若不從上頭重生,就不能見神的國;
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God;
1:504
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
1:505
What is the meaning, or the power, of baptism? That the one baptized be changed in mind, and in word, and in deed, and become, according to the power given him, that very thing from which he was begotten.
1:506
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
1:507
Do not marvel that I said to you:
1:508
The Spirit blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound;
1:509
卻不知道是從哪裡來,往哪裡去;
but you do not know where it comes from, and where it goes.
1:510
So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
1:511
To die to sin, and to live to God in Christ Jesus.
1:512
我們這受洗歸入基督耶穌的人,是受洗歸入他的死;
As many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death;
1:513
We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death;
1:514
that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.
1:515
我們若在他死的形狀上與他聯合,也要在他復活的形狀上與他聯合;
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we shall also be so in the likeness of His resurrection;
1:516
因為知道我們的舊人和他同釘十字架,使罪身滅絕,叫我們不再作罪的奴僕;
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we should no longer be enslaved to sin.
1:517
For he who has died has been justified from sin.
1:518
In whom also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised together through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
1:519
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1:520
There is neither Jew nor Greek;
1:521
there is neither slave nor free;
1:522
for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
1:523
既已脫去舊人和舊人的行為,穿上了新人;這新人在知識上漸漸更新,正如造他之主的形像;
Having put off the old man with his deeds, and having put on the new man, who is being renewed unto full knowledge, according to the image of Him who created him;
1:524
where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free;
1:525
but Christ is all, and in all.
1:526
That the partaking of the body and blood of Christ is necessary even for eternal life itself.
1:527
Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
1:528
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and so on.
1:529
論凡不明白領受基督身體與寶血所憑之道理,而前來領受聖餐者,毫無益處;
That he who approaches communion without understanding the meaning according to which the partaking of the body and blood of Christ is given profits nothing thereby;
1:530
but he who partakes unworthily is condemned.
1:531
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.
1:532
But Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples murmured about this, said to them,
1:533
What if you should see the Son of Man ascending where He was before? The flesh profits nothing;
1:534
叫人活著的乃是靈;
it is the Spirit who gives life;
1:535
the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life.
1:536
So then, whoever eats this bread, or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily, will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1:537
For he who eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
1:538
By what reasoning one must eat the body and drink the blood of the Lord: in remembrance of the Lord's obedience unto death, so that those who live may no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for them.
1:539
And He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
1:540
This is My body, which is given for you;
1:541
do this in remembrance of Me.
1:542
Likewise also the cup, after supper, saying,
1:543
That the Lord Jesus, on the night in which He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, broke it, and said,
1:544
This is My body, which is broken for you;
1:545
do this in remembrance of Me.
1:546
Likewise also the cup, after supper, saying,
1:547
This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.
1:548
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
1:549
原來基督的愛激勵我們;因我們斷定:一人既替眾人死,眾人就都死了;
For the love of Christ constrains us, since we have judged this: that if One died for all, then all died;
1:550
and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised, so that the many might become one body in Christ.
1:551
The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? For because there is one bread, we who are many are one body.
1:552
For we all partake of that one bread.
1:553
That he who partakes of the holy things must sing hymns to the Lord. [Chapter]
1:554
Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and so on.
1:555
And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
1:556
That the working of sin alienates one from the Lord, and makes one akin to the devil.
1:557
Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.
1:558
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you wish to do.
1:559
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
1:560
That kinship with the Lord is not known by relation according to the flesh, but is accomplished by zeal for the will of God.
1:561
He who is of God hears the words of God.
1:562
And it was told him, saying:
1:563
Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.
1:564
But he answered and said to them:
1:565
My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.
1:566
You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
1:567
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
1:568
That he who is unwillingly dragged along by sin ought to recognize that he is held fast by another, pre-existing sin, by willingly serving which he is thenceforth led by it even to what he does not wish.
1:569
For we know that the law is spiritual;
1:570
but I am fleshly, sold under sin.
1:571
For what I do, I do not understand;
1:572
我所願意的,我並不做;
for it is not what I want that I do;
1:573
but if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law that it is good.
1:574
So now it is no longer I who do it, but the sin that dwells in me.
1:575
我也知道,在我裡頭,就是我肉體之中,沒有良善;
For I know that no good thing dwells in me, that is, in my flesh;
1:576
for to will is present with me, but to work out what is good I do not find.
1:577
For the good that I want, I do not do; but the evil that I do not want, that I practice.
1:578
But if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but the sin that dwells in me.
1:579
That one must not lie, but must speak the truth in everything.
1:580
But let your word be, Yes, yes;
1:581
and whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
1:582
所以你們要棄絕謊言,各人與鄰舍說真話;
Having put away lying, speak the truth each one with his neighbor;
1:583
That one must not engage in unprofitable or contentious disputes.
1:584
Remind them of these things, solemnly charging them before the Lord,
1:585
not to quarrel about words, to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
1:586
But avoid foolish and undisciplined disputes, knowing that they breed quarrels.
1:587
That one must not utter an idle word, from which there is no benefit.
1:588
For to speak, or even to do what is good, without regard to the edification of the faith, is to grieve the Holy Spirit of God.
1:589
我又告訴你們,凡人所說的閒話,當審判的日子,必要句句供出來;
But I say to you, that for every idle word that men speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment.
1:590
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth,
1:591
but only such as is good for the edification of the faith, that it may give grace to those who hear; and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
1:592
That every word or deed must be confirmed by the testimony of the God-inspired Scripture, for the full assurance of the good, and for the shame of the wicked.
1:593
And the tempter came to him and said:
1:594
If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread.
1:595
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
1:596
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
1:597
And they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another:
1:598
What could this mean? But others, mocking, said, They are full of sweet wine.
1:599
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them:
1:600
Men of Judea, and all you who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words.
1:601
For these are not drunk, as you suppose;
1:602
for it is only the third hour of the day;
1:603
but this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:
1:604
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh, and they shall prophesy, and so on.
1:605
That one must also make use of things known by nature and by the custom of life, for the confirmation of what is done or said.
1:606
...prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
1:607
By their fruits you will know them.
1:608
Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit;
1:609
but the bad tree bears evil fruit, and so on.
1:610
And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying:
1:611
Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
1:612
No one serving as a soldier entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please the one who enlisted him.
1:613
And if anyone also competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully.
1:614
不當效法那些與主的教訓相異的人;
That one must not liken oneself to those who are alien to the teaching of the Lord;
1:615
but must imitate God and his saints, according to the power given to us by him.
1:616
You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and the great ones exercise authority over them;
1:617
只是在你們中間,凡願為首的,就必作你們的用人;
but whoever wants to become first among you shall be your servant;
1:618
凡願在你們中間為首的,就必作你們的僕人;
and whoever wants to be first among you shall be your slave;
1:619
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
1:620
Do not be conformed to this age,
1:621
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God.
1:622
Be imitators of me, as I also am of Christ.
1:623
不當輕率地、未加省察地,被那些假冒真理的人所迷惑;
That one must not be simply, nor unexaminedly, carried away by those who feign the truth;
1:624
but must recognize each one by the mark given to us by Scripture.
1:625

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
1:626
By their fruits you will know them.
1:627
By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
