If, then, all the ages and times and places, together with all the things conceived together with them, are after God, who is a beginning without beginning;
那麼,若一切世代、時間與地方,連同一切與它們一同被想到的事物,都在神之後(神乃是無始的起頭);
1:2336⧉ ⤴︎
καί ὡς ἀπείρου τέλους αὐτοῦ πολύ κατόπιν ὑπάρχουσι , μεσότητος οὐδέν διαφέρουσι·

因為當他無可指責地,如同造一種可見的本性般,藉德行的實行造成那世界,且未曾改變那在魂本身之上、如同藉著相反之事而臨到的週期(時間),又藉觀想毫無差錯地收割可悟之物的知識,並能存眷顧之心,把同樣的習性也注入別人裏面時;

For he who does not behold the visible creation unto the glory of God, and does not piously raise his thought up toward the intelligible nature, fittingly remains diseased for the said number of years.

For it is good that the lower be lifted toward virtue by the better upon the shoulders of action, rather than that the better be borne toward pleasure-loving through softness by the lower.
因為較高者藉行動的肩頭將較低者提向德行,乃是好的;勝過較高者因軟弱被較低者帶向愛逸樂。

But when, having passed beyond the multitude of the sensible and intelligible things that give it form, it becomes wholly formless, then the Word who is beyond thinking fittingly appropriates it to Himself, causing it to cease from those things that by nature alter it with the forms of concepts;
但當它越過那些賦它以形之感官與屬靈眾物的群眾,成為全然無形之時,那超乎思想的道便妥當地將它據為己有,使它止息於那些本性上以諸般概念之形變更它之物;
