16:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἤκουσα μεγάλης φωνῆς ἐκ τοῦ ναοῦ λεγούσης τοῖς ἑπτὰ ἀγγέλοις , ὑπάγετε καὶ ἐκχέετε τὰς ἑπτὰ φιάλας τοῦ θυμοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν .
Et audivi vocem magnam de templo , dicentem septem angelis : Ite , et effundite septem phialas irae Dei in terram .
ወይቤሎሙ ቃል እምሰማይ እምነ መቅደሱ ለእልክቱ ሰብዐቱ መላእክት ሑሩ ወከዐዉ ጽዋዐ መዓቱ ለእግዚአብሔር ውስተ ኵላ ምድር ።
I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”
16:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν · καὶ ἐγένετο ἕλκος κακὸν καὶ πονηρὸν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ἔχοντας τὸ χάραγμα τοῦ θηρίου καὶ τοὺς προσκυνοῦντας τῇ εἰκόνι αὐτοῦ .
Et abiit primus , et effudit phialam suam in terram , et factum est vulnus saevum et pessimum in homines , qui habebant caracterem bestiae , et in eos qui adoraverunt imaginem ejus .
ወሖረ መልአክ ቀዳማዊ ወከዐወ ጽዋዖ ውስተ ምድር ወመጽአ ላዕለ እልክቱ ሰብእ እለ ጸሐፉ ትእምርቶ ለዝክቱ አርዌ ወሰገዱ ለምስሉ ወመጽአ ላዕሌሆሙ ጸልዕ እኩይ ።
The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.
16:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ δεύτερος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν · καὶ ἐγένετο αἷμα ὡς νεκροῦ , καὶ πᾶσα ψυχὴ ζωῆς ἀπέθανεν , τὰ ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ .
Et secundus angelus effudit phialam suam in mare , et factus est sanguis tamquam mortui : et omnis anima vivens mortua est in mari .
ወከዐወ ካልእ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ውስተ ባሕር ወኮነት ባሕር ደመ ወሞተ ኵሉ ነፍሰ ሕይወት ዘውስተ ባሕር ።
The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.
16:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ τρίτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τοὺς ποταμοὺς καὶ τὰς πηγὰς τῶν ὑδάτων · καὶ ἐγένετο αἷμα .
Et tertius effudit phialam suam super flumina , et super fontes aquarum , et factus est sanguis .
ወከዐወ ሣልስ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ውስተ አፍላግ ወውስተ አንቅዕተ ማያት ወኮኑ ደመ ኵሉ አንቅዕተ ማያት ።
The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
16:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ ἀγγέλου τῶν ὑδάτων λέγοντος , δίκαιος εἶ , ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν , ὁ ὅσιος , ὅτι ταῦτα ἔκρινας ,
Et audivi angelum aquarum dicentem : Justus es , Domine , qui es , et qui eras sanctus , qui haec judicasti :
ወይቤ መልአከ አንቅዕተ ማያት ጻድቅ አንተ እግዚኦ ወራትዕ ዘሀለውከ ወትሄሉ ወከመዝ ኰነንከ ።
I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things.
16:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι αἵματα ἁγίων καὶ προφητῶν ἐξέχεαν , καὶ αἷμα αὐτοῖς ἔδωκας πεῖν · ἄξιοί εἰσιν .
quia sanguinem sanctorum et prophetarum effuderunt , et sanguinem eis dedisti bibere : digni enim sunt .
እስመ ከዐዉ ደመ ቅዱሳኒከ ወነቢያቲከ ወአስተይካሆሙ ደሞሙ እስመ ይደልዎሙ ።
For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”
16:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου λέγοντος , ναί , κύριε ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ , ἀληθιναὶ καὶ δίκαιαι αἱ κρίσεις σου .
Et audivi alterum ab altari dicentem : Etiam Domine Deus omnipotens , vera et justa judicia tua .
ወሰማዕኩ ቃለ ዘይቤ በውስተ ምሥዋዕ እወ እግዚኦ እግዚአብሔር ዘኵሎ ትመልክ ጽድቅ ወርትዕ ኵነኔከ ።
I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”
16:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ τέταρτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ἥλιον · καὶ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ καυματίσαι τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἐν πυρί .
Et quartus angelus effudit phialam suam in solem , et datum est illi aestu affligere homines , et igni :
ወከዐወ ራብዕ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ውስተ ፀሓይ ወተውህበ ሎቱ ሐሩር ከመ ያውዕዮ ለሰብእ በእሳት ።
The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire.
16:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐκαυματίσθησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι καῦμα μέγα , καὶ ἐβλασφήμησαν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἔχοντος τὴν ἐξουσίαν ἐπὶ τὰς πληγὰς ταύτας , καὶ οὐ μετενόησαν δοῦναι αὐτῷ δόξαν .
et aestuaverunt homines aestu magno , et blasphemaverunt nomen Dei habentis potestatem super has plagas , neque egerunt poenitentiam ut darent illi gloriam .
ወውዕየ ሰብእ በዐቢይ ሐሩር እስከ ይፀርፉ ላዕለ ስመ እግዚአብሔር ዘውእቱ ሥሉጥ ላዕለ እልክቱ መቅሠፍታት ወኢነስሑ ከመ ያእኵትዎ ።
People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.
16:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ πέμπτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον τοῦ θηρίου · καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ ἐσκοτωμένη , καὶ ἐμασῶντο τὰς γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ πόνου ,
Et quintus angelus effudit phialam suam super sedem bestiae : et factum est regnum ejus tenebrosum , et commanducaverunt linguas suas prae dolore :
ወከዐወ ኀምስ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ላዕለ መንበሩ ወላዕለ መንግሥቱ ለዝክቱ አርዌ ወጸልመት መንግሥቱ እስከ ይሜጽሩ ልሳናቲሆሙ ሰብእ በሕማም ።
The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain,
16:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐβλασφήμησαν τὸν θεὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐκ τῶν πόνων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἑλκῶν αὐτῶν , καὶ οὐ μετενόησαν ἐκ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν .
et blasphemaverunt Deum caeli prae doloribus , et vulneribus suis , et non egerunt poenitentiam ex operibus suis .
ወእስከ ይፀርፉ ላዕለ እግዚአ ሰማይ እምነ ሕማመ አጽልዕቲሆሙ ወኢነስሑ እምነ ግብሮሙ ።
and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.
16:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ ἕκτος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ποταμὸν τὸν μέγαν Εὐφράτην · καὶ ἐξηράνθη τὸ ὕδωρ αὐτοῦ , ἵνα ἑτοιμασθῇ ἡ ὁδὸς τῶν βασιλέων τῶν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῆς ἡλίου .
Et sextus angelus effudit phialam suam in flumen illud magnum Euphraten : et siccavit aquam ejus , ut praepararetur via regibus ab ortu solis .
ወከዐወ ሳድስ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ውስተ ፈለግ ዐቢይ ዘኤፍራጥስ ወየብሰ ማዩ ከመ ትደሎ ፍኖቶሙ ለነገሥት እለ እምነ ምሥራቀ ፀሓይ ።
The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.
16:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἴδον ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ δράκοντος καὶ ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ θηρίου καὶ ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦ ψευδοπροφήτου πνεύματα τρία ἀκάθαρτα ὡς βάτραχοι ·
Et vidi de ore draconis , et de ore bestiae , et de ore pseudoprophetae spiritus tres immundos in modum ranarum .
ወእምዝ ወፅኡ እምነ አፉሁ ለዝንቱ አርዌ ቀዳማዊ ወእምአፉሁ ለአንበሳ ወእምአፉሁ ለሐሳዌ ነቢይ ሠለስቱ አጋንንት ርኩሳን ወከመ ቈርነናዓት እሙንቱ መንፈሰ አጋንንት ።
I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;
16:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἰσὶν γὰρ πνεύματα δαιμονίων ποιοῦντα σημεῖα , ἃ ἐκπορεύεται ἐπὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς τῆς οἰκουμένης ὅλης , συναγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν πόλεμον τῆς ἡμέρας τῆς μεγάλης τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ παντοκράτορος .
Sunt enim spiritus daemoniorum facientes signa , et procedunt ad reges totius terrae congregare illos in praelium ad diem magnum omnipotentis Dei .
ወይገብሩ ተአምራተ ወይወፅኡ ላዕለ ኵሉ ነገሥት እለ ውስተ ኵሉ ዓለም ወያስተጋብእዎሙ ይትቃተሉ በዕለት ዐባይ እንተ እግዚአብሔር ዘኵሎ ይመልክ ።
for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God the Almighty.
16:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ὡς κλέπτης . μακάριος ὁ γρηγορῶν καὶ τηρῶν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ , ἵνα μὴ γυμνὸς περιπατῇ καὶ βλέπωσιν τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτοῦ .
Ecce venio sicut fur . Beatus qui vigilat , et custodit vestimenta sua , ne nudus ambulet , et videant turpitudinem ejus .
ወናሁ እመጽእ ግብተ ከመ ሰራቂ ወብፁዕ ዘይተግህ ፥ ወየዐቅብ አልባሲሁ ከመ ኢይሑር ዕራቆ ወኢያስተርኢ ኀፍረቱ ።
“Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame.”
16:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ συνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν τόπον τὸν καλούμενον Ἑβραϊστὶ Ἁρμαγεδών .
Et congregabit illos in locum qui vocatur hebraice Armagedon .
ወአስተጋብኦሙ ውስተ መካን ዘስሙ አርማጌዶን በዕብራይስጥ ።
He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, “Harmagedon”.
16:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ ἕβδομος ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν ἀέρα · καὶ ἐξῆλθεν φωνὴ μεγάλη ἐκ τοῦ ναοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ θρόνου λέγουσα , γέγονεν .
Et septimus angelus effudit phialam suam in aërem , et exivit vox magna de templo a throno , dicens : Factum est .
ወከዐወ ሳብዕ መልአክ ጽዋዖ ውስተ ነፋስ ወወፅአ ቃል ዐቢይ እምነ መቅደሱ ወእም ኀበ መንበሩ ዘይብል ኀልቀ ።
The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
16:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγένοντο ἀστραπαὶ καὶ φωναὶ καὶ βρονταί , καὶ σεισμὸς ἐγένετο μέγας οἷος οὐκ ἐγένετο ἀφ’ οὗ ἄνθρωπος ἐγένετο ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τηλικοῦτος σεισμὸς οὕτω μέγας .
Et facta sunt fulgura , et voces , et tonitrua , et terraemotus factus est magnus , qualis numquam fuit ex quo homines fuerunt super terram : talis terraemotus , sic magnus .
ወእምዝ ኮነ መብረቅ ወቃለ ነጐድጓድ ወመጽአ ዐቢይ ድልቅልቅ ዘኢኮነ ከማሁ እምአመ ተፈጥረ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ውስተ ምድር ወኢይከውንሂ ዘከማሁ ድልቅልቅ ዐቢይ ።
There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake such as has not happened since there were men on the earth—so great an earthquake and so mighty.
16:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη εἰς τρία μέρη , καὶ αἱ πόλεις τῶν ἐθνῶν ἔπεσαν . καὶ Βαβυλὼν ἡ μεγάλη ἐμνήσθη ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ δοῦναι αὐτῇ τὸ ποτήριον τοῦ οἴνου τοῦ θυμοῦ τῆς ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ .
Et facta est civitas magna in tres partes : et civitates gentium ceciderunt . Et Babylon magna venit in memoriam ante Deum , dare illi calicem vini indignationis irae ejus .
ወኮነት ሀገር ዐባይ ሠለስተ መክፈልተ ወአህጉረ አሕዛብኒ ወድቃ ወለባቢሎንኒ ዐባይ ተዘከርዋ ቅድመ እግዚአብሔር ከመ ይመጥውዋ ጽዋዐ ሕምዘ ወይነ መዓቱ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
16:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πᾶσα νῆσος ἔφυγεν , καὶ ὄρη οὐχ εὑρέθησαν .
Et omnis insula fugit , et montes non sunt inventi .
ወጠፍኣ ኵሎን ደሰያት ወአድባርኒ ኢተረክቡ ።
Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
16:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ χάλαζα μεγάλη ὡς ταλαντιαία καταβαίνει ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους · καὶ ἐβλασφήμησαν οἱ ἄνθρωποι τὸν θεὸν ἐκ τῆς πληγῆς τῆς χαλάζης , ὅτι μεγάλη ἐστὶν ἡ πληγὴ αὐτῆς σφόδρα .
Et grando magna sicut talentum descendit de caelo in homines : et blasphemaverunt Deum homines propter plagam grandinis : quoniam magna facta est vehementer .
ወወረደ እምሰማይ ላዕለ ሰብእ ዐቢይ በረድ ዘመጠነ መካልይ ወፀረፉ ሰብእ ላዕለ ስመ እግዚአብሔር በእንተ ውእቱ መቅሠፍተ በረድ እስመ ዐቢይ ውእቱ መቅሠፍቱ ጥቀ ።
Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent, came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague was exceedingly severe.
