4:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ὥστε , ἀδελφοί μου ἀγαπητοὶ καὶ ἐπιπόθητοι , χαρὰ καὶ στέφανός μου , οὕτως στήκετε ἐν κυρίῳ , ἀγαπητοί .
Itaque fratres mei carissimi , et desideratissimi , gaudium meum , et corona mea : sic state in Domino , carissimi .
ወይእዜኒ አኀዊነ ፍቁራን ፍሥሓነ ወአክሊልነ ከመዝ ቁሙ ወጽንዑ በእግዚእነ አኀዊነ ።
Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.
4:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ Εὐοδίαν παρακαλῶ καὶ Συντύχην παρακαλῶ τὸ αὐτὸ φρονεῖν ἐν κυρίῳ .
Evodiam rogo , et Syntychen deprecor , idipsum sapere in Domino .
ወአስተበቍዐክሙ ኤዎድያን ወስንጣክን ከመ ተኀልዩ በተልእኮ እግዚእነ በአሐዱ ልብ ።
I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord.
4:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ ναὶ ἐρωτῶ καὶ σέ , γνήσιε σύνζυγε , συνλαμβάνου αὐταῖς , αἵτινες ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ συνήθλησάν μοι μετὰ καὶ Κλήμεντος καὶ τῶν λοιπῶν συνεργῶν μου , ὧν τὰ ὀνόματα ἐν βίβλῳ ζωῆς .
Etiam rogo et te , germane compar , adjuva illas , quae mecum laboraverunt in Evangelio cum Clemente , et ceteris adjutoribus meis , quorum nomina sunt in libro vitae .
ወአስተበቍዐከ ለከሂ እኁየ ወመፃምርትየ ሰትሪካ ከመ ታርድኦሙ እስመ ሰርሑ ምስሌየ በትምህርተ ወንጌል ምስለ ቀሌምንጦስ ወኵሎሙ ቢጽነ እለ አሐዱ ግብሮሙ እለ ተጽሕፈ አስማቲሆሙ ውስተ መጽሐፈ ሕይወት ።
Yes, I beg you also, true partner, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ Χαίρετε ἐν κυρίῳ πάντοτε · πάλιν ἐρῶ , χαίρετε .
Gaudete in Domino semper : iterum dico gaudete .
ተፈሥሑ በእግዚእነ ዘልፈ ወካዕበ እብለክሙ ተፈሥሑ ።
Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”
4:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ τὸ ἐπιεικὲς ὑμῶν γνωσθήτω πᾶσιν ἀνθρώποις . ὁ κύριος ἐγγύς .
Modestia vestra nota sit omnibus hominibus : Dominus prope est .
ወይትዐወቅ ስላጤክሙ በኀበ ኵሉ ሰብእ እግዚአብሔር ቅሩብ ።
Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
4:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ μηδὲν μεριμνᾶτε , ἀλλ’ ἐν παντὶ τῇ προσευχῇ καὶ τῇ δεήσει μετὰ εὐχαριστίας τὰ αἰτήματα ὑμῶν γνωριζέσθω πρὸς τὸν θεόν .
Nihil solliciti sitis : sed in omni oratione , et obsecratione , cum gratiarum actione petitiones vestrae innotescant apud Deum .
ኢተኀልዩ ወኢምንተኒ ወባሕቱ ጸልዩ በኵሉ ጊዜ ወሰአሉ ወእንዘ ተአኵቱ ክሥቱ ስእለተክሙ ኀበ እግዚአብሔር ።
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
4:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἡ εἰρήνη τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ ὑπερέχουσα πάντα νοῦν φρουρήσει τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ νοήματα ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ .
Et pax Dei , quae exuperat omnem sensum , custodiat corda vestra , et intelligentias vestras in Christo Jesu .
ወሰላመ እግዚአብሔር እንተ ኵሉ ባቲ ወትትሌዐል እምኵሉ ልብ ወእምኵሉ ኅሊና ታጽንዖ ለልብክሙ ወለኅሊናክሙ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ።
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
4:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ Τὸ λοιπόν , ἀδελφοί , ὅσα ἐστὶν ἀληθῆ , ὅσα σεμνά , ὅσα δίκαια , ὅσα ἁγνά , ὅσα προσφιλῆ , ὅσα εὔφημα , εἴ τις ἀρετὴ καὶ εἴ τις ἔπαινος , ταῦτα λογίζεσθε ·
De cetero fratres , quaecumque sunt vera , quaecumque pudica , quaecumque justa , quaecumque sancta , quaecumque amabilia , quaecumque bonae famae , siqua virtus , siqua laus disciplinae , haec cogitate .
ወይእዜኒ አኀዊነ ኵሎ ዘርትዕ ወዘንጽሕ ወዘጽድቅ ወዘሠናይ ወዘፍቅር ወዘምድኃር ወአስተርክቦ ዘይደሉ ወዘይትአኰት ኪያሁ ኀልዩ ።
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
4:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἃ καὶ ἐμάθετε καὶ παρελάβετε καὶ ἠκούσατε καὶ εἴδετε ἐν ἐμοί , ταῦτα πράσσετε · καὶ ὁ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης ἔσται μεθ’ ὑμῶν .
Quae et didicistis , et accepistis , et audistis , et vidistis in me , haec agite : et Deus pacis erit vobiscum .
ዘተመሀርክሙ ወዘሰማዕክሙ ወዘርኢክሙ በኀቤየ ኪያሁ ግበሩ ወአምላከ ሰላም የሀሉ ምስለ ኵልክሙ ።
Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
4:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἐχάρην δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ μεγάλως ὅτι ἤδη ποτὲ ἀνεθάλετε τὸ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ φρονεῖν , ἐφ’ ᾧ καὶ ἐφρονεῖτε ἠκαιρεῖσθε δέ .
Gavisus sum autem in Domino vehementer , quoniam tandem aliquando refloruistis pro me sentire , sicut et sentiebatis : occupati autem eratis .
ተፈሣሕኩ በእግዚእነ ፈድፈደ እስመ ትኄልዩ ወትጽሕቁ ለትካዝየ እምቀዲሙ በከመ ትጽሕቁ ሊተ ዓዲ ወለእመ ይሰአነክሙ ።
But I rejoice in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity.
4:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐχ ὅτι καθ’ ὑστέρησιν λέγω , ἐγὼ γὰρ ἔμαθον ἐν οἷς εἰμι αὐτάρκης εἶναι .
Non quasi propter penuriam dico : ego enim didici , in quibus sum , sufficiens esse .
ወአኮ ዘእቤ በእንተ ዘኀጣእኩ እስመ አአምር ከመ የአክለኒ ዘብየ ።
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
4:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἶδα καὶ ταπεινοῦσθαι , οἶδα καὶ περισσεύειν · ἐν παντὶ καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν μεμύημαι καὶ χορτάζεσθαι καὶ πεινᾶν , καὶ περισσεύειν καὶ ὑστερεῖσθαι .
Scio et humiliari , scio et abundare (ubique et in omnibus institutus sum ) : et satiari , et esurire , et abundare , et penuriam pati .
ከሃሊ አንሰ ተጽናሰሂ ወተደልዎሂ በኵሉ ውስተ ኵሉ ለመድኩ ርኂበሂ ወጸጊበሂ ሐሚመሂ ወተፈሥሖሂ ።
I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
4:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ πάντα ἰσχύω ἐν τῷ ἐνδυναμοῦντί με .
Omnia possum in eo qui me confortat .
ኵሎ እክል በዘውእቱ አክሀለኒ ክርስቶስ ።
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
4:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ πλὴν καλῶς ἐποιήσατε συνκοινωνήσαντές μου τῇ θλίψει .
Verumtamen bene fecistis , communicantes tribulationi meae .
ወባሕቱ ሠናየ ገበርክሙ ዘተሳተፍክሙ በሕማምየ ።
However you did well that you shared in my affliction.
4:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἴδατε δὲ καὶ ὑμεῖς , Φιλιππήσιοι , ὅτι ἐν ἀρχῇ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου , ὅτε ἐξῆλθον ἀπὸ Μακεδονίας , οὐδεμία μοι ἐκκλησία ἐκοινώνησεν εἰς λόγον δόσεως καὶ λήμψεως εἰ μὴ ὑμεῖς μόνοι ·
Scitis autem et vos Philippenses , quod in principio Evangelii , quando profectus sum a Macedonia , nulla mihi ecclesia communicavit in ratione dati et accepti , nisi vos soli :
ተአምሩ አንትሙ ሰብአ ፊልጵስዩስ በቀዳሚ ትምህርት አመ መጻእኩ እመቄዶንያ ከመ ኢኀብሩ ምስሌየ አሐዱሂ እምቤተ ክርስቲያን ኢበውሂብ ወኢበነሢእ ዘእንበለ ዳእሙ ባሕቲትክሙ ።
You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.
4:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι καὶ ἐν Θεσσαλονίκῃ καὶ ἅπαξ καὶ δὶς εἰς τὴν χρείαν μοι ἐπέμψατε .
quia et Thessalonicam semel et bis in usum mihi misistis .
ዓዲ በተሰሎንቄሂ ምዕረ ወካዕበ ፈኖክሙ ሊተ ለትካዝየ ።
For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need.
4:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐχ ὅτι ἐπιζητῶ τὸ δόμα , ἀλλὰ ἐπιζητῶ τὸν καρπὸν τὸν πλεονάζοντα εἰς λόγον ὑμῶν .
Non quia quaero datum , sed requiro fructum abundantem in ratione vestra .
አኮ ሀብተክሙ ፈቂድየ ዘእዜከር ዘንተ ዳእሙ አኀሥሥ ከመ ይሥመር በላዕሌክሙ ፍሬ ጽድቅ ።
Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account.
4:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀπέχω δὲ πάντα καὶ περισσεύω · πεπλήρωμαι δεξάμενος παρὰ Ἐπαφροδίτου τὰ παρ’ ὑμῶν , ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας , θυσίαν δεκτήν , εὐάρεστον τῷ θεῷ .
Habeo autem omnia , et abundo : repletus sum , acceptis ab Epaphrodito quae misistis odorem suavitatis , hostiam acceptam , placentem Deo .
ወናሁ ተወከፍኩ ኵሎ ዘፈኖክሙ ኀቤየ አከለኒ ወበዘተርፈ ሰለጥኩ በዘአብጽሐ ሊተ አፍሮዲጡ ዘእምኀቤክሙ መዓዛ ሠናየ ወመሥዋዕተ ኅሩየ ወሥሙረ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር ።
But I have all things and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.
4:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ θεός μου πληρώσει πᾶσαν χρείαν ὑμῶν κατὰ τὸ πλοῦτος αὐτοῦ ἐν δόξῃ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ .
Deus autem meus impleat omne desiderium vestrum secundum divitias suas in gloria in Christo Jesu .
ወአምላኪየ ይፈጽም ለክሙ ኵሎ መፍቀደክሙ በከመ ብዕለ ስብሐቲሁ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
4:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ τῷ δὲ θεῷ καὶ πατρὶ ἡμῶν ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων · ἀμήν .
Deo autem et Patri nostro gloria in saecula saeculorum . Amen .
ወእግዚአብሔር አቡነ ዘሎቱ ስብሐት ለዓለመ ዓለም አሜን ።
Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
4:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἀσπάσασθε πάντα ἅγιον ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ . ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ σὺν ἐμοὶ ἀδελφοί .
Salutate omnem sanctum in Christo Jesu .
አምኁ ኵሎ ቅዱሳነ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አምኁክሙ አኀዊነ እለ ኀቤየ ።
Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.
4:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς πάντες οἱ ἅγιοι , μάλιστα δὲ οἱ ἐκ τῆς Καίσαρος οἰκίας .
Salutant vos , qui mecum sunt , fratres . Salutant vos omnes sancti , maxime autem qui de Caesaris domo sunt .
ወይኤምኁክሙ ኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን ወፈድፋደሰ እለ እምሰብአ ቄሣር ቤተ ንጉሥ ።
All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar’s household.
4:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν .
Gratia Domini nostri Jesu Christi cum spiritu vestro . Amen .
ጸጋሁ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ምስለ መንፈስክሙ አሜን ። ተፈጸመት መልእክት ኀበ ሰብአ ፊልጵስዩስ ወተጽሕፈት በሮሜ ወተፈነወት ምስለ ጢሞቴዎስ ወአፍሮዲጡ ። ወስብሐት ለእግዚአብሔር አሜን ።
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
