9:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἐμβὰς εἰς πλοῖον διεπέρασεν , καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς τὴν ἰδίαν πόλιν .
Et ascendens in naviculam , transfretavit , et venit in civitatem suam .
ወዐሪጎ ውስተ ሐመር ዐደወ ወበጽሐ ሀገሮ ።
He entered into a boat and crossed over, and came into his own city.
9:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδοὺ προσέφερον αὐτῷ παραλυτικὸν ἐπὶ κλίνης βεβλημένον . καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν εἶπεν τῷ παραλυτικῷ · θάρσει , τέκνον · ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι .
Et ecce offerebant ei paralyticum jacentem in lecto . Et videns Jesus fidem illorum , dixit paralytico : Confide fili , remittuntur tibi peccata tua .
ወአምጽኡ ኀቤሁ ድዉየ መፃጕዐ እንዘ ይጸውርዎ በዐራት ወርእዮ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ሃይማኖቶሙ ይቤሎ ለውእቱ መፃጕዕ ተአመን ወልድየ ተኀድገ ለከ ኀጢአትከ ።
Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”
9:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδού τινες τῶν γραμματέων εἶπον ἐν ἑαυτοῖς · οὗτος βλασφημεῖ .
Et ecce quidam de scribis dixerunt intra se : Hic blasphemat .
ወሰሚዖሙ ጸሐፍት ወፈሪሳውያን ይቤሉ በበይናቲሆሙ ዝንቱሰ ይፀርፍ ።
Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”
9:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὰς ἐνθυμήσεις αὐτῶν εἶπεν , ἱνατί ἐνθυμεῖσθε πονηρὰ ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν ;
Et cum vidisset Jesus cogitationes eorum , dixit : Ut quid cogitatis mala in cordibus vestris ?
ወአእሚሮ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኅሊናሆሙ ይቤሎሙ ለምንት ትኄልዩ እኩየ በአልባቢክሙ ።
Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
9:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ τί γάρ ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον , εἰπεῖν , ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι , ἢ εἰπεῖν , ἔγειρε καὶ περιπάτει ;
Quid est facilius dicere : Dimittuntur tibi peccata tua : an dicere : Surge , et ambula ?
ምንት ይቀልል እምብሂለ ተኀድገ ለከ ኀጢአትከ ወእምብሂለ ተንሥእ ወንሣእ ዐራተከ ወሑር ቤተከ ።
For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk’?
9:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας , τότε λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ , ἐγερθεὶς ἆρόν σου τὴν κλίνην καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου .
Ut autem sciatis , quia Filius hominis habet potestatem in terra dimittendi peccata , tunc ait paralytico : Surge , tolle lectum tuum , et vade in domum tuam .
ከመ ታእምሩ ከመ ብዉሕ ሎቱ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ይኅድግ ኀጢአተ በዲበ ምድር ወእምዝ ይቤሎ ለውእቱ መፃጕዕ ተንሥእ ወንሣእ ዐራተከ ወእቱ ቤተከ ።
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins—” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go to your house.”
9:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγερθεὶς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ .
Et surrexit , et abiit in domum suam .
ወተንሢኦ ነሥአ ዐራቶ ወሖረ ቤቶ ።
He arose and departed to his house.
9:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐφοβήθησαν καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν τὸν δόντα ἐξουσίαν τοιαύτην τοῖς ἀνθρώποις .
Videntes autem turbae timuerunt , et glorificaverunt Deum , qui dedit potestatem talem hominibus .
ወርእዮሙ ሕዝብ አንከሩ ወአእኰትዎ ለእግዚአብሔር ዘወሀበ ዘከመዝ ሥልጣነ ለሰብእ ።
But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
9:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ παράγων ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄνθρωπον καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον , Μαθθαῖον λεγόμενον , καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ , ἀκολούθει μοι . καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ .
Et , cum transiret inde Jesus , vidit hominem sedentem in telonio , Matthaeum nomine . Et ait illi : Sequere me . Et surgens , secutus est eum .
ወኀሊፎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ እምህየ ረከበ ብእሴ ዘስሙ ማቴዎስ እንዘ ይነብር ውስተ ምጽባሕ ወይቤሎ ትልወኒ ወተንሢኦ ተለዎ ።
As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.
9:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ ἀνακειμένου ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ , ἰδοὺ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐλθόντες συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ .
Et factum est , discumbente eo in domo , ecce multi publicani et peccatores venientes , discumbebant cum Jesu , et discipulis ejus .
ወእንዘ ይረፍቅ ውስተ ቤት ናሁ መጽኡ ብዙኃን መጸብሓን ወኃጥኣን ወረፈቁ ምስለ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወአርዳኢሁ ።
As he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.
9:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ , διατί μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίει ὁ διδάσκαλος ὑμῶν ;
Et videntes pharisaei , dicebant discipulis ejus : Quare cum publicanis et peccatoribus manducat magister vester ?
ወርእዮሙ ፈሪሳውያን ይቤልዎሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ለምንት ይበልዕ ሊቅክሙ ምስለ መጸብሓን ወኃጥኣን ።
When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
9:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ ἀκούσας εἶπεν , οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλ’ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες .
At Jesus audiens , ait : Non est opus valentibus medicus , sed male habentibus .
ወሰሚዖ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ይቤሎሙ ሕሙማን ይፈቅድዎ ለዐቃቤ ሥራይ ወአኮ ጥዑያን ።
When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
9:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ πορευθέντες δὲ μάθετε τί ἐστιν , ἔλεος θέλω καὶ οὐ θυσίαν · οὐ γὰρ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ἁμαρτωλούς .
Euntes autem discite quid est : Misericordiam volo , et non sacrificium . Non enim veni vocare justos , sed peccatores .
ሑሩ ወአእምሩ ምንት ውእቱ ዘይቤ «ምጽዋተ አበድር እመሥዋዕት » እስመ ኢመጻእኩ እጸውዕ ጻድቃነ አላ ኃጥኣነ ለንስሓ ።
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
9:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ Τότε προσέρχονται αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου λέγοντες · διατί ἡμεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι νηστεύομεν , οἱ δὲ μαθηταί σου οὐ νηστεύουσιν ;
Tunc accesserunt ad eum discipuli Joannis , dicentes : Quare nos , et pharisaei , jejunamus frequenter : discipuli autem tui non jejunant ?
ወእምዝ መጽኡ ኀቤሁ አርዳኢሁ ለዮሐንስ ወይቤልዎ ንሕነ ወፈሪሳውያን ንጸውም ብዙኀ ወአርዳኢከሰ በእፎ ኢይጸውሙ ።
Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”
9:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς , μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος πενθεῖν ἐφ’ ὅσον μετ’ αὐτῶν ἐστιν ὁ νυμφίος ; ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος , καὶ τότε νηστεύσουσιν .
Et ait illis Jesus : Numquid possunt filii sponsi lugere , quamdiu cum illis est sponsus ? Venient autem dies cum auferetur ab eis sponsus : et tunc jejunabunt .
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ኢይክሉ ደቂቁ ለመርዓዊ ጸዊመ ወላሕዎ አምጣነ ሀሎ መርዓዊ ምስሌሆሙ ወባሕቱ ይመጽእ መዋዕል አመ ይነሥእዎ ለመርዓዊ እምኔሆሙ አሜሃ ይጸውሙ ።
Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
9:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐδεὶς δὲ ἐπιβάλλει ἐπίβλημα ῥάκους ἀγνάφου ἐπὶ ἱματίῳ παλαιῷ · αἴρει γὰρ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἱματίου , καὶ χεῖρον σχίσμα γίνεται .
Nemo autem immittit commissuram panni rudis in vestimentum vetus : tollit enim plenitudinem ejus a vestimento , et pejor scissura fit .
ወአልቦ ዘይጠቅብ ግምደ ድርግሐ ልብስ ውስተ ስጠተ ልብስ ብሉይ እስመ ይትማላእ ሕያዎ ለልብስ ፥ ወያዐብዮ ለስጠቱ ።
No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
9:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ οὐδὲ βάλλουσιν οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς παλαιούς · εἰ δὲ μήγε , ῥήγνυνται οἱ ἀσκοί , καὶ ὁ οἶνος ἐκχεῖται καὶ οἱ ἀσκοὶ ἀπόλλυνται · ἀλλὰ βάλλουσιν οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς καινούς , καὶ ἀμφότεροι συντηροῦνται .
Neque mittunt vinum novum in utres veteres : alioquin rumpuntur utres , et vinum effunditur , et utres pereunt . Sed vinum novum in utres novos mittunt : et ambo conservantur .
ወኢይወድዩ ወይነ ሐዲሰ ውስተ ዝቅ ብሉይ ወእመአኮሰ ዝቁሂ ይነቅዕ ወወይኑሂ ይትከዐው ወዝቁሂ ይትኀጐል ወባሕቱ ለወይንሰ ሐዲስ ውስተ ዝቅ ሐዲስ ይወድይዎ ወይትዓቀቡ ክልኤሆሙ በበይናቲሆሙ ።
Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”
9:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ταῦτα αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος αὐτοῖς , ἰδοὺ ἄρχων εἰσελθὼν προσεκύνει αὐτῷ , λέγων · ἡ θυγάτηρ μου ἄρτι ἐτελεύτησεν , ἀλλὰ ἐλθὼν ἐπίθες τὴν χεῖρά σου ἐπ’ αὐτήν , καὶ ζήσεται .
Haec illo loquente ad eos , ecce princeps unus accessit , et adorabat eum , dicens : Domine , filia mea modo defuncta est : sed veni , impone manum tuam super eam , et vivet .
ወእንዘ ዘንተ ይነግሮሙ ናሁ መጽአ አሐዱ መኰንን ወሰገደ ሎቱ እንዘ ይብል ወለትየ ይእዜ ሞተት ወባሕቱ ነዓ አንብር እዴከ ላዕሌሃ ወተሐዩ ።
While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
9:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐγερθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ .
Et surgens Jesus , sequebatur eum , et discipuli ejus .
ወተንሥአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወተለዎ ወአርዳኢሁኒ ።
Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
9:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἰδοὺ γυνὴ αἱμορροοῦσα δώδεκα ἔτη προσελθοῦσα ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ κρασπέδου τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ ·
Et ecce mulier , quae sanguinis fluxum patiebatur duodecim annis , accessit retro , et tetigit fimbriam vestimenti ejus .
ወናሁ ብእሲት እንተ ደም ይውኅዛ እም ዐሠርቱ ወክልኤቱ ክረምት መጽአት ወቆመት እንተ ድኅሬሁ ወገሠሠት ጽንፈ ልብሱ ።
Behold, a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
9:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἔλεγεν γὰρ ἐν ἑαυτῇ , ἐὰν μόνον ἅψωμαι τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ σωθήσομαι .
Dicebat enim intra se : Si tetigero tantum vestimentum ejus , salva ero .
እንዘ ትብል በልባ እምከመ ገሠሥኩ ጽንፈ ልብሱ አሐዩ ።
for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”
9:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ στραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὴν εἶπεν · θάρσει θύγατερ , ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε . καὶ ἐσώθη ἡ γυνὴ ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης .
At Jesus conversus , et videns eam , dixit : Confide , filia , fides tua te salvam fecit . Et salva facta est mulier ex illa hora .
ወተመይጠ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወርእያ ወይቤላ ተአመኒ ወለትየ ሃይማኖትኪ አሕየወተኪ ወሐይወት ይእቲ ብእሲት በይእቲ ሰዓት ።
But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
9:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ ἄρχοντος καὶ ἰδὼν τοὺς αὐλητὰς καὶ τὸν ὄχλον θορυβούμενον ἔλεγεν ·
Et cum venisset Jesus in domum principis , et vidisset tibicines et turbam tumultuantem , dicebat :
ወበዊኦ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ቤቶ ለውእቱ መኰንን ርእየ መብክያነ ወሰብአ እንዘ ይትሀወኩ ወያስቈቅዉ ።
When Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd in noisy disorder,
9:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀναχωρεῖτε · οὐ γὰρ ἀπέθανεν τὸ κοράσιον ἀλλὰ καθεύδει . καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ .
Recedite : non est enim mortua puella , sed dormit . Et deridebant eum .
ወይቤሎሙ ተገኀሡ እስመ አኮ ዘሞተት ሕፃን አላ ትነውም ወሰሐቅዎ ።
he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.
9:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτε δὲ ἐξεβλήθη ὁ ὄχλος , εἰσελθὼν ἐκράτησεν τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς , καὶ ἠγέρθη τὸ κοράσιον .
Et cum ejecta esset turba , intravit : et tenuit manum ejus , et surrexit puella .
ወእምዘወፅኡ ሰብእ ቦአ ወአኀዛ እዴሃ ወተንሥአት ሕፃን ።
But when the crowd was sent out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
9:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἡ φήμη αὕτη εἰς ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην .
Et exiit fama haec in universam terram illam .
ወወፅአ ስሙዓተ ነገሩ ውስተ ኵላ ምድር ።
The report of this went out into all that land.
9:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ παράγοντι ἐκεῖθεν τῷ Ἰησοῦ , ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ δύο τυφλοὶ κράζοντες καὶ λέγοντες · ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς , υἱὸς Δαυείδ .
Et transeunte inde Jesu , secuti sunt eum duo caeci , clamantes , et dicentes : Miserere nostri , fili David .
ወኀሊፎ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ እምህየ ተለውዎ ክልኤቱ ዕዉራን እንዘ ይጸርሑ ወይብሉ ተሣሀለነ ወልደ ዳዊት ።
As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”
9:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐλθόντι δὲ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ οἱ τυφλοί , καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς , πιστεύετε ὅτι δύναμαι τοῦτο ποιῆσαι ; λέγουσιν αὐτῷ · ναί , κύριε .
Cum autem venisset domum , accesserunt ad eum caeci . Et dicit eis Jesus : Creditis quia hoc possum facere vobis ? Dicunt ei : Utique , Domine .
ወበዊኦ ቤተ መጽኡ ኀቤሁ እሙንቱ ዕዉራን ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ተአምኑሁ ከመ እክል ዘንተ ገቢረ ወይቤልዎ እወ እግዚኦ ።
When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”
9:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ τότε ἥψατο τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν λέγων · Κατὰ τὴν πίστιν ὑμῶν γενηθήτω ὑμῖν .
Tunc tetigit oculos eorum , dicens : Secundum fidem vestram , fiat vobis .
ወገሠሦሙ አዕይንቲሆሙ እንዘ ይብል በከመ ሃይማኖትክሙ ይኩንክሙ ።
Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”
9:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀνεῴχθησαν αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί . καὶ ἐνεβριμήθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων · ὁρᾶτε μηδεὶς γινωσκέτω .
Et aperti sunt oculi eorum : et comminatus est illis Jesus , dicens : Videte ne quis sciat .
ወሶቤሃ ተከሥታ አዕይንቲሆሙ ወገሠጾሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ ዑቁ ኢትንግሩ ወኢ ለመኑሂ ።
Then their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”
9:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες διεφήμισαν αὐτὸν ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ γῇ ἐκείνῃ .
Illi autem exeuntes , diffamaverunt eum in tota terra illa .
ወወፂኦሙ ነገሩ ለኵሉ በሓውርት ።
But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
9:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ Αὐτῶν δὲ ἐξερχομένων , ἰδοὺ προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ ἄνθρωπον κωφὸν δαιμονιζόμενον ·
Egressis autem illis , ecce obtulerunt ei hominem mutum , daemonium habentem .
ወእምዘወፅኡ እሙንቱ አምጽኡ ኀቤሁ ብእሴ ዘጋኔን ጽሙመ ወበሃመ ።
As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
9:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐκβληθέντος τοῦ δαιμονίου ἐλάλησεν ὁ κωφός . καὶ ἐθαύμασαν οἱ ὄχλοι λέγοντες · οὐδέποτε ἐφάνη οὕτως ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ .
Et ejecto daemonio , locutus est mutus , et miratae sunt turbae , dicentes : Numquam apparuit sic in Israël .
ወወፂኦ ጋኔኑ ነበበ ውእቱ በሃም ወሰምዐ ውእቱ ጽሙም ወአንከሩ ሰብእ እንዘ ይብሉ ግሙራ ኢያስተርአየ ዘከመ ዝ በውስተ እስራኤል ።
When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”
9:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἱ δὲ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον · ἐν τῷ ἄρχοντι τῶν δαιμονίων ἐκβάλλει τὰ δαιμόνια .
Pharisaei autem dicebant : In principe daemoniorum ejicit daemones .
ወፈሪሳውያንሰ ይቤሉ በመልአኮሙ ለአጋንንት ያወፅኦሙ ለአጋንንት ።
But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”
9:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ περιῆγεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὰς πόλεις πάσας καὶ τὰς κώμας , διδάσκων ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς βασιλείας καὶ θεραπεύων πᾶσαν νόσον καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν .
Et circuibat Jesus omnes civitates , et castella , docens in synagogis eorum , et praedicans Evangelium regni , et curans omnem languorem , et omnem infirmitatem .
ወአንሶሰወ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ውስተ ኵሉ አህጉር ወበሓውርት እንዘ ይሜህር በምኵራባቲሆሙ ወይሰብክ ወንጌለ መንግሥት ወይፌውስ ኵሎ ድዉያነ ወኵሎ ሕሙማነ ዘውስተ ሕዝብ ።
Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
9:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἰδὼν δὲ τοὺς ὄχλους ἐσπλαγχνίσθη περὶ αὐτῶν , ὅτι ἦσαν ἐσκυλμένοι καὶ ἐρριμμένοι ὡσεὶ πρόβατα μὴ ἔχοντα ποιμένα .
Videns autem turbas , misertus est eis : quia erant vexati , et jacentes sicut oves non habentes pastorem .
ወርእዮ ብዙኃነ ሰብአ አምሐርዎ ወተሣሀሎሙ እስመ ስሩሓን እሙንቱ ወግዱፋን ከመ አባግዕ ዘአልቦ ኖላዊ ።
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
9:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ τότε λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ · ὁ μὲν θερισμὸς πολύς , οἱ δὲ ἐργάται ὀλίγοι ·
Tunc dicit discipulis suis : Messis quidem multa , operarii autem pauci .
ወይቤሎሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ማእረሩሰ ብዙኅ ወገባሩ ኅዳጥ ።
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
9:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ δεήθητε οὖν τοῦ κυρίου τοῦ θερισμοῦ ὅπως ἐκβάλῃ ἐργάτας εἰς τὸν θερισμὸν αὐτοῦ .
Rogate ergo Dominum messis , ut mittat operarios in messem suam .
ሰአልዎ እንከ ለበዓለ ማእረር ከመ ይወስክ ገባረ ለማእረሩ ።
Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”
