3:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πάλιν εἰς συναγωγήν , καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπος ἐξηραμμένην ἔχων τὴν χεῖρα ·
Et introivit iterum in synagogam : et erat ibi homo habens manum aridam .
ወቦአ ካዕበ ምኵራበ በሰንበት ወሀሎ ህየ ብእሲ ዘየብሰት እዴሁ ።
He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered.
3:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ παρετήρουν αὐτὸν εἰ ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν θεραπεύει αὐτόν , ἵνα κατηγορήσωσιν αὐτοῦ .
Et observabant eum , si sabbatis curaret , ut accusarent illum .
ወይትዐቀብዎ ለእመ ይፌውሶ በሰንበት ከመ ያስተዋድይዎ ።
They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ λέγει τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τῷ τὴν ξηρὰν χεῖρα ἔχοντι · ἔγειρε εἰς τὸ μέσον .
Et ait homini habenti manum aridam : Surge in medium .
ወይቤሎ ለውእቱ ብእሲ ዘፅውስት እዴሁ ተንሥእ ወቁም ማእከለ ።
He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.”
3:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς · ἔξεστιν τοῖς σάββασιν ἀγαθὸν ποιῆσαι ἢ κακοποιῆσαι , ψυχὴν σῶσαι ἢ ἀποκτεῖναι ; οἱ δὲ ἐσιώπων .
Et dicit eis : Licet sabbatis benefacere , an male ? animam salvam facere , an perdere ? At illi tacebant .
ወይቤሎሙ ይከውንኑ በሰንበት ገቢረ ሠናይ አው ገቢረ እኩይ አሕይዎ ነፍስኑ ፥ ወሚመ ቀቲል ወአርመሙ ።
He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.
3:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ περιβλεψάμενος αὐτοὺς μετ’ ὀργῆς , συνλυπούμενος ἐπὶ τῇ πωρώσει τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν , λέγει τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ · ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρα . καὶ ἐξέτεινεν , καὶ ἀπεκατεστάθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ .
Et circumspiciens eos cum ira , contristatus super caecitate cordis eorum , dicit homini : Extende manum tuam . Et extendit , et restituta est manus illi .
ወነጸሮሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ እንዘ ይትመዐዕ ወይቴክዝ በእንተ ዑረተ ልቦሙ ወይቤሎ ለውእቱ ብእሲ ስፋሕ እዴከ ወሰፍሐ እዴሁ ወሐይወት ወኮነት ከመ ካልእታ ።
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
3:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξελθόντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι εὐθὺς μετὰ τῶν Ἡρῳδιανῶν συμβούλιον ἐποίησαν κατ’ αὐτοῦ ὅπως αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν .
Exeuntes autem pharisaei , statim cum Herodianis consilium faciebant adversus eum quomodo eum perderent .
ወወፂኦሙ ፈሪሳውያን ምስለ ሰብአ ሄሮድስ ተማከሩ ከመ ይቅትልዎ ።
The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
3:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν , καὶ πολὺ πλῆθος ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἠκολούθησαν ,
Jesus autem cum discipulis suis secessit ad mare : et multa turba a Galilaea et Judaea secuta est eum ,
ወተግኅሠ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ምስለ አርዳኢሁ መንገለ ባሕር ወተለውዎ ብዙኃን ጥቀ እምገሊላ ወእምይሁዳ ።
Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
3:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰδουμαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου καὶ περὶ Τύρον καὶ Σιδῶνα , πλῆθος πολύ , ἀκούοντες ὅσα ἐποίει ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτόν .
et ab Jerosolymis , et ab Idumaea , et trans Jordanem : et qui circa Tyrum et Sidonem multitudo magna , audientes quae faciebat , venerunt ad eum .
ወእምኢየሩሳሌም ወእምኤዶምያስ ወእማዕዶተ ዮርዳኖስ ወእምጢሮስ ወእምሲዶና ወብዙኃን ጥቀ መጽኡ ኀቤሁ ሰሚዖሙ ኵሎ ዘገብረ ።
from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
3:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα πλοιάριον προσκαρτερῇ αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον , ἵνα μὴ θλίβωσιν αὐτόν ·
Et dicit discipulis suis ut navicula sibi deserviret propter turbam , ne comprimerent eum :
ወይቤሎሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ያጽንሑ ሎቱ ሐመረ ከመ ኢይትጋፍዕዎ ሰብእ ።
He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
3:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ πολλοὺς γὰρ ἐθεράπευσεν , ὥστε ἐπιπίπτειν αὐτῷ , ἵνα αὐτοῦ ἅψωνται , ὅσοι εἶχον μάστιγας .
multos enim sanabat , ita ut irruerent in eum ut illum tangerent , quotquot habebant plagas .
እስመ ለብዙኃን አሕየዎሙ ወኮኑ ይትጋፍዕዎ እስከ ይወድቁ ዲቤሁ ወያስተበቍዕዎ ከመ ይግሥሥዎ ኵሎሙ ሕሙማን ።
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
3:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ τὰ πνεύματα τὰ ἀκάθαρτα , ὅταν αὐτὸν ἐθεώρουν , προσέπιπτον αὐτῷ καὶ ἔκραζον λέγοντες ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ .
Et spiritus immundi , cum illum videbant , procidebant ei : et clamabant , dicentes :
ወእለሂ እኁዛነ አጋንንት ርኩሳን እምከመ ርእይዎ ይሰግዱ ሎቱ ወይጸርሑ እንዘ ይብሉ አንተ ውእቱ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ።
The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”
3:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ πολλὰ ἐπετίμα αὐτοῖς ἵνα μὴ αὐτὸν φανερὸν ποιήσωσιν .
Tu es Filius Dei . Et vehementer comminabatur eis ne manifestarent illum .
ወብዙኀ ይጌሥጾሙ ከመ ገሃደ ኢይረስይዎ ።
He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
3:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἀναβαίνει εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ προσκαλεῖται οὓς ἤθελεν αὐτός , καὶ ἀπῆλθον πρὸς αὐτόν .
Et ascendens in montem vocavit ad se quos voluit ipse : et venerunt ad eum .
ወዐርገ ደብረ ወጸውዐ እለ ፈቀደ ወሖሩ ኀቤሁ ።
He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
3:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐποίησεν δώδεκα , ἵνα ὦσιν μετ’ αὐτοῦ , καὶ ἵνα ἀποστέλλῃ αὐτοὺς κηρύσσειν
Et fecit ut essent duodecim cum illo : et ut mitteret eos praedicare .
ወኀረየ ዐሠርተ ወክልኤተ ወሰመዮሙ ሐዋርያተ ወረሰዮሙ ከመ የሀልዉ ምስሌሁ ወይፈንዎሙ ይስብኩ ።
He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach
3:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔχειν ἐξουσίαν ἐκβάλλειν τὰ δαιμόνια ·
Et dedit illis potestatem curandi infirmitates et ejiciendi daemonia .
ወአብሖሙ ያውፅኡ አጋንንተ ወይፈውሱ ድዉያነ ።
and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
3:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐποίησεν τοὺς δώδεκα , καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ὄνομα τῷ Σίμωνι Πέτρον ·
Et imposuit Simoni nomen Petrus :
ወሰመዮሙ በበ አስማቲሆሙ ወሰመዮ ለስምዖን ጴጥሮስ ።
Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
3:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν τοῦ Ἰακώβου , καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτοῖς ὀνόματα Βοανηργές , ὅ ἐστιν υἱοὶ βροντῆς ·
et Jacobum Zebedaei , et Joannem fratrem Jacobi , et imposuit eis nomina Boanerges , quod est , Filii tonitrui :
ወለያዕቆብ ወልደ ዘብዴዎስ ወለዮሐንስ እኍሁ ሰመዮሙ ቦአኔርጌስ ደቂቀ ነጐድጓድ ብሂል ።
James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);
3:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ Ἀνδρέαν καὶ Φίλιππον καὶ Βαρθολομαῖον καὶ Μαθθαῖον καὶ Θωμᾶν καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ἁλφαίου καὶ Θαδδαῖον καὶ Σίμωνα τὸν Καναναῖον
et Andream , et Philippum , et Bartholomaeum , et Matthaeum , et Thomam , et Jacobum Alphaei , et Thaddaeum , et Simonem Cananaeum ,
ወእንድርያስ ወፊልጶስ ወበርተሎሜዎስ ወማቴዎስ ወቶማስ ወያዕቆብ ወልደ እልፍዮስ ወታዴዎስ ወስምዖን ቀነናዊ ።
Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;
3:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰσκαριώθ , ὃς καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτόν . Καὶ ἔρχεται εἰς οἶκον ·
et Judam Iscariotem , qui et tradidit illum .
ወይሁዳ አስቆሮታዊ ዘአግብኦ ።
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house.
3:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ συνέρχεται πάλιν ὄχλος , ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι αὐτοὺς μήτε ἄρτον φαγεῖν .
Et veniunt ad domum : et convenit iterum turba , ita ut non possent neque panem manducare .
ወበዊኦ ቤተ መጽኡ ካዕበ አሕዛብ ብዙኃን እስከ ኢያበውሕዎ ይብላዕ እክለ ።
The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
3:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ παρ’ αὐτοῦ ἐξῆλθον κρατῆσαι αὐτόν · ἔλεγον γὰρ ὅτι ἐξέστη .
Et cum audissent sui , exierunt tenere eum : dicebant enim : Quoniam in furorem versus est .
ወሰሚዖሙ አዝማዲሁ መጽኡ የአኀዝዎ እስመ ስሕወ ልቡ ይቤልዎሙ ።
When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”
3:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς οἱ ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων καταβάντες ἔλεγον ὅτι Βεελζεβοὺλ ἔχει , καὶ ὅτι ἐν τῷ ἄρχοντι τῶν δαιμονίων ἐκβάλλει τὰ δαιμόνια .
Et scribae , qui ab Jerosolymis descenderant , dicebant : Quoniam Beelzebub habet , et quia in principe daemoniorum ejicit daemonia .
ወጸሐፍትኒ እለ ወረዱ እምኢየሩሳሌም ይቤሉ ብዔል ዜቡል አኀዞ ወበመልአኮሙ ለአጋንንት ያወፅኦሙ ለአጋንንት ።
The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
3:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτοὺς ἐν παραβολαῖς ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς · πῶς δύναται σατανᾶς σατανᾶν ἐκβάλλειν ;
Et convocatis eis in parabolis dicebat illis : Quomodo potest Satanas Satanam ejicere ?
ወጸውዖሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወመሰለ ሎሙ ወይቤሎሙ እፎ ይክል ሰይጣን ለሰይጣን አውፅኦቶ ።
He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
3:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν βασιλεία ἐφ’ ἑαυτὴν μερισθῇ , οὐ δύναται σταθῆναι ἡ βασιλεία ἐκείνη .
Et si regnum in se dividatur , non potest regnum illud stare .
ወመንግሥትኒ ዘበበይናቲሃ ትትናፈቅ ኢትቀውም ይእቲ መንግሥት ።
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
3:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν οἰκία ἐφ’ ἑαυτὴν μερισθῇ , οὐ δυνήσεται ἡ οἰκία ἐκείνη σταθῆναι .
Et si domus super semetipsam dispertiatur , non potest domus illa stare .
ወእመኒ ቤት ተናፈቀት በበይናቲሃ ኢትቀውም ይእቲ ቤት ።
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
3:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἰ ὁ σατανᾶς ἀνέστη ἐφ’ ἑαυτὸν ἐμερίσθη , καὶ οὐ δύναται στῆναι ἀλλὰ τέλος ἔχει .
Et si Satanas consurrexerit in semetipsum , dispertitus est , et non poterit stare , sed finem habet .
ወሰይጣንሂ ለእመ ተንሥአ በበይናቲሁ ወተናፈቀ ኢይቀውም አላ ማኅለቅተ ይረክብ ።
If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
3:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀλλ’ οὐ δύναται οὐδεὶς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ ἰσχυροῦ εἰσελθὼν τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ διαρπάσαι , ἐὰν μὴ πρῶτον τὸν ἰσχυρὸν δήσῃ , καὶ τότε τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ διαρπάσει .
Nemo potest vasa fortis ingressus in domum diripere , nisi prius fortem alliget , et tunc domum ejus diripiet .
ወአልቦ ዘይክል በዊአ ቤተ ኀያል ወበርብሮተ ንዋዩ ለእመ ኢቀደመ አሲሮቶ ለኀያል ወእምዝ ይበረብር ቤቶ ።
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.
3:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι πάντα ἀφεθήσεται τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων τὰ ἁμαρτήματα καὶ αἱ βλασφημίαι , ὅσα ἂν βλασφημήσωσιν ·
Amen dico vobis , quoniam omnia dimittentur filiis hominum peccata , et blasphemiae quibus blasphemaverint :
አማን እብለክሙ ኵሉ ኀጢአት ወፅርፈት ይትኀደግ ለዕጓለ እመሕያው ።
“Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
3:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὃς δ’ ἂν βλασφημήσῃ εἰς τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον , οὐκ ἔχει ἄφεσιν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα , ἀλλὰ ἔνοχός ἔσται αἰωνίου ἁμαρτήματος
qui autem blasphemaverit in Spiritum Sanctum , non habebit remissionem in aeternum , sed reus erit aeterni delicti .
ወዘሰ ፀረፈ ዲበ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ኢይትኀደግ ሎቱ ለዓለም ወይትኴነን በደይን ለዝሉፉ ።
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
3:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι ἔλεγον · πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον ἔχει .
Quoniam dicebant : Spiritum immundum habet .
እስመ ይቤሉ ጋኔን ርኩስ አኀዞ ።
—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
3:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἔρχεται ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ , καὶ ἔξω στήκοντες ἀπέστειλαν πρὸς αὐτὸν καλοῦντες αὐτόν .
Et veniunt mater ejus et fratres : et foris stantes miserunt ad eum vocantes eum ,
ወመጽኡ እሙ ወአኀዊሁ ወቆሙ አፍኣ ወለአኩ ኀቤሁ ይጸውዕዎ ።
His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
3:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐκάθητο περὶ αὐτὸν ὄχλος , καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ · ἰδοὺ ἡ μήτηρ σου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί σου καὶ αἱ ἀδελφαί σου ἔξω ζητοῦσίν σε .
et sedebat circa eum turba : et dicunt ei : Ecce mater tua et fratres tui foris quaerunt te .
ወይነብሩ ሰብእ ብዙኃን ምስሌሁ ወይቤልዎ ነዮሙ እምከኒ ወአኀዊከኒ አፍኣ ይቀውሙ ወየኀሥሡከ ።
A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
3:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτοῖς λέγει · τίς ἐστιν ἡ μήτηρ μου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου ;
Et respondens eis , ait : Quae est mater mea et fratres mei ?
ወአውሥአ ወይቤሎሙ መኑ ይእቲ እምየ ወእለ መኑ እሙንቱ አኀውየ ።
He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
3:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ περιβλεψάμενος τοὺς περὶ αὐτὸν κύκλῳ καθημένους λέγει · ἴδε ἡ μήτηρ μου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου .
Et circumspiciens eos , qui in circuitu ejus sedebant , ait : Ecce mater mea et fratres mei .
ወነጸሮሙ ለእለ ይነብሩ ዐውዶ ወይቤ ነዮሙ እምየኒ ወአኀውየኒ ።
Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
3:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὃς ἂν ποιήσῃ τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ , οὗτος ἀδελφός μου καὶ ἀδελφὴ καὶ μήτηρ ἐστίν .
Qui enim fecerit voluntatem Dei , hic frater meus , et soror mea , et mater est .
እስመ ኵሉ ዘይገብር ፈቃዶ ለእግዚአብሔር ውእቱ እኍየኒ ወእኅትየኒ ወእምየኒ ።
For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”
