2:1
וְֽ֠הָיָ֠ה מִסְפַּ֤ר בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כְּח֣וֹל הַיָּ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־יִמַּ֖ד וְלֹ֣א יִסָּפֵ֑ר וְֽ֠הָיָ֠ה בִּמְק֞וֹם אֲשֶׁר־יֵאָמֵ֤ר לָהֶם֙ לֹא־עַמִּ֣י אַתֶּ֔ם יֵאָמֵ֥ר לָהֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י אֵֽל־חָֽי׃
καὶ ἦν ὁ ἀριθμὸς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ὡς ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης ἣ οὐκ ἐκμετρηθήσεται οὐδὲ ἐξαριθμηθήσεται καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῷ τόπῳ οὗ ἐρρέθη αὐτοῖς οὐ λαός μου ὑμεῖς ἐκεῖ κληθήσονται υἱοὶ θεοῦ ζῶντος
Dicite fratribus vestris : Populus meus ; et sorori vestrae : Misericordiam consecuta.
ወበልዎ፡ ለእኁክሙ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ወለእኅትክሙ፡ ሥህልት። ተዋቀሥዋ፡ ለእምክሙ፡ እስመ፡ ይእቲኒ፡ ኢኮነት፡ ብእሲትየ። ወአነሂ፡ ኢኮንኩ፡ ምታ።
“Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’
2:2
וְ֠נִקְבְּצ֠וּ בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָ֤ה וּבְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ יַחְדָּ֔ו וְשָׂמ֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם רֹ֥אשׁ אֶחָ֖ד וְעָל֣וּ מִן־הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּ֥י גָד֖וֹל י֥וֹם יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃
καὶ συναχθήσονται οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ καὶ θήσονται ἑαυτοῖς ἀρχὴν μίαν καὶ ἀναβήσονται ἐκ τῆς γῆς ὅτι μεγάλη ἡ ἡμέρα τοῦ Ιεζραελ
Judicate matrem vestram, judicate, quoniam ipsa non uxor mea, et ego non vir ejus. Auferat fornicationes suas a facie sua, et adulteria sua de medio uberum suorum ;
ወናሁ፡ ይእዜ፡ እስዕር፡ ዝሙታ፡ እምቅድመ፡ ገጻ፡ ወመሐዛኒሃ፡ እማእከለ፡ አጥባቲሃ። ወእቀፍጻ፡ ዕራቃ፡ ወእሬስያ፡ ከመ፡ አመ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ንእሳ፡ ወከመ፡ ዕለት፡ ቀዳሚት፡ እንተ፡ ባቲ፡ ተወልደት።
Contend with your mother! Contend, for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
2:3
אִמְר֥וּ לַאֲחֵיכֶ֖ם עַמִּ֑י וְלַאֲחוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם רֻחָֽמָה׃
εἴπατε τῷ ἀδελφῷ ὑμῶν Λαός‐μου καὶ τῇ ἀδελφῇ ὑμῶν Ἠλεημένη
ne forte expoliem eam nudam, et statuam eam secundum diem nativitatis suae, et ponam eam quasi solitudinem, et statuam eam velut terram inviam, et interficiam eam siti.
ወእገብራ፡ ከመ፡ ምድር፡ ወእሬስያ፡ ከመ፡ በድው፡ ዘአልቦ፡ ማይ፡ ወእቀትላ፡ በጽምእ።
lest I strip her naked, and make her bare as in the day that she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.
2:4
רִ֤יבוּ בְאִמְּכֶם֙ רִ֔יבוּ כִּי־הִיא֙ לֹ֣א אִשְׁתִּ֔י וְאָנֹכִ֖י לֹ֣א אִישָׁ֑הּ וְתָסֵ֤ר זְנוּנֶ֙יהָ֙ מִפָּנֶ֔יהָ וְנַאֲפוּפֶ֖יהָ מִבֵּ֥ין שָׁדֶֽיהָ׃
κρίθητε πρὸς τὴν μητέρα ὑμῶν κρίθητε ὅτι αὐτὴ οὐ γυνή μου καὶ ἐγὼ οὐκ ἀνὴρ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαρῶ τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς ἐκ προσώπου μου καὶ τὴν μοιχείαν αὐτῆς ἐκ μέσου μαστῶν αὐτῆς
Et filiorum illius non miserebor, quoniam filii fornicationum sunt.
ወኢይሠሃሎሙ፡ እንከ፡ ለደቂቃ፡ እስመ፡ ትውልደ፡ ዘማ፡ እሙንቱ።
Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy, for they are children of unfaithfulness.
2:5
פֶּן־אַפְשִׁיטֶ֣נָּה עֲרֻמָּ֔ה וְהִ֨צַּגְתִּ֔יהָ כְּי֖וֹם הִוָּֽלְדָ֑הּ וְשַׂמְתִּ֣יהָ כַמִּדְבָּ֗ר וְשַׁתִּ֙הָ֙ כְּאֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֔ה וַהֲמִתִּ֖יהָ בַּצָּמָֽא׃
ὅπως ἂν ἐκδύσω αὐτὴν γυμνὴν καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω αὐτὴν καθὼς ἡμέρᾳ γενέσεως αὐτῆς καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὴν ὡς ἔρημον καὶ τάξω αὐτὴν ὡς γῆν ἄνυδρον καὶ ἀποκτενῶ αὐτὴν ἐν δίψει
Quia fornicata est mater eorum, confusa est quae concepit eos ; quia dixit : Vadam post amatores meos, qui dant panes mihi, et aquas meas, lanam meam, et linum meum, oleum meum, et potum meum.
እስመ፡ ዘመወት፡ እሞሙ፡ ወአስተኀፈረቶሙ፡ ወላዲቶሙ። እስመ፡ ትቤ፡ በልባ፡ ኣሐውር፡ እትልዎሙ፡ ለመሐዛንየ፡ እለ፡ ይሁቡኒ፡ ስቴየ፡ ወመብልዕየ፡ ወይኤርዙኑ፡ አልባሰየ፡ ወመዋጥሕየ፡ ወይሁቡኒ፡ ቅብዕየ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘይደሉ፡ ያመጽኡ፡ ሊተ።
For their mother has played the prostitute. She who conceived them has done shamefully; for she said, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.’
2:6
וְאֶת־בָּנֶ֖יהָ לֹ֣א אֲרַחֵ֑ם כִּֽי־בְנֵ֥י זְנוּנִ֖ים הֵֽמָּה׃
καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς οὐ μὴ ἐλεήσω ὅτι τέκνα πορνείας ἐστίν
Propter hoc ecce ego sepiam viam tuam spinis, et sepiam eam maceria, et semitas suas non inveniet.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ ኣሐጽር፡ ፍኖታ፡ በሦክ፡ ወእፌጽም፡ መንገዳ፡ ወተኀጥእ፡ እንከ፡ ምኅላፊ።
Therefore behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she can’t find her way.
2:7
כִּ֤י זָֽנְתָה֙ אִמָּ֔ם הֹבִ֖ישָׁה הוֹרָתָ֑ם כִּ֣י אָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֞ה אַחֲרֵ֤י מְאַֽהֲבַי֙ נֹתְנֵ֤י לַחְמִי֙ וּמֵימַ֔י צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י שַׁמְנִ֖י וְשִׁקּוּיָֽי׃
ὅτι ἐξεπόρνευσεν ἡ μήτηρ αὐτῶν κατῄσχυνεν ἡ τεκοῦσα αὐτά εἶπεν γάρ ἀκολουθήσω ὀπίσω τῶν ἐραστῶν μου τῶν διδόντων μοι τοὺς ἄρτους μου καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ μου καὶ τὰ ἱμάτιά μου καὶ τὰ ὀθόνιά μου καὶ τὸ ἔλαιόν μου καὶ πάντα ὅσα μοι καθήκει
Et sequetur amatores suos, et non apprehendet eos ; et quaeret eos, et non inveniet : et dicet : Vadam, et revertar ad virum meum priorem, quia bene mihi erat tunc magis quam nunc.
ወትዴግኖሙ፡ እንከ፡ ለመሐዛኒሃ፡ ወኢትእኅዞሙ፡ ተኀሥሦሙ፡ ወኢትረክቦሙ፡ ወትብል፡ ኣሐውር፡ እንከሰ፡ ኀበ፡ ምትየ፡ ዘትካት፡ እስመ፡ ይኄይሰኒ፡ ዘቀዲሙ፡ እምይእዜ።
She will follow after her lovers, but she won’t overtake them; and she will seek them, but won’t find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.’
2:8
לָכֵ֛ן הִנְנִי־שָׂ֥ךְ אֶת־דַּרְכֵּ֖ךְ בַּסִּירִ֑ים וְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ אֶת־גְּדֵרָ֔הּ וּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָ לֹ֥א תִמְצָֽא׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ φράσσω τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῆς ἐν σκόλοψιν καὶ ἀνοικοδομήσω τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ τὴν τρίβον αὐτῆς οὐ μὴ εὕρῃ
Et haec nescivit, quia ego dedi ei frumentum, et vinum, et oleum, et argentum multiplicavi ei, et aurum, quae fecerunt Baal.
ወይእቲሰ፡ ኢያእመረት፡ ከመ፡ አነ፡ ወሀብክዋ፡ እክለ፡ ወወይነ፡ ወቅብዐ፡ ወአብዛኅኩ፡ ላቲ፡ ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ፡ ወይእቲሰ፡ ገብረት፡ ለበዓል።
For she didn’t know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
2:9
וְרִדְּפָ֤ה אֶת־מְאַהֲבֶ֙יהָ֙ וְלֹא־תַשִּׂ֣יג אֹתָ֔ם וּבִקְשָׁ֖תַם וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָ֑א וְאָמְרָ֗ה אֵלְכָ֤ה וְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ אֶל־אִישִׁ֣י הָרִאשׁ֔וֹן כִּ֣י ט֥וֹב לִ֛י אָ֖ז מֵעָֽתָּה׃
καὶ καταδιώξεται τοὺς ἐραστὰς αὐτῆς καὶ οὐ μὴ καταλάβῃ αὐτούς καὶ ζητήσει αὐτοὺς καὶ οὐ μὴ εὕρῃ αὐτούς καὶ ἐρεῖ πορεύσομαι καὶ ἐπιστρέψω πρὸς τὸν ἄνδρα μου τὸν πρότερον ὅτι καλῶς μοι ἦν τότε ἢ νῦν
Idcirco convertar, et sumam frumentum meum in tempore suo, et vinum meum in tempore suo. Et liberabo lanam meam et linum meum, quae operiebant ignominiam ejus.
ወበእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ እትመየጥ፡ ወአስተጋብእ፡ እክልየ፡ ዘበበ፡ ጊዜሁ፡ ወወይንየ፡ ዘለለ፡ ዕለቱ፡ ወእሰልባ፡ አልባሲሃ፡ ወመዋጥሒሃ፡ ከመ፡ ኢትክድን፡ ኀፍረታ።
Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my new wine in its season, and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.
2:10
וְהִיא֙ לֹ֣א יָֽדְעָ֔ה כִּ֤י אָֽנֹכִי֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔הּ הַדָּגָ֖ן וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֑ר וְכֶ֨סֶף הִרְבֵּ֥יתִי לָ֛הּ וְזָהָ֖ב עָשׂ֥וּ לַבָּֽעַל׃
καὶ αὐτὴ οὐκ ἔγνω ὅτι ἐγὼ δέδωκα αὐτῇ τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὸν οἶνον καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ ἀργύριον ἐπλήθυνα αὐτῇ αὐτὴ δὲ ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ ἐποίησεν τῇ Βααλ
Et nunc revelabo stultitiam ejus in oculis amatorum ejus ; et vir non eruet eam de manu mea ;
ወናሁ፡ ይእዜ፡ እከሥት፡ ኀፍረታ፡ በቅድመ፡ መሐዛኒሃ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዘያድኅና፡ እምእዴየ።
Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hand.
2:11
לָכֵ֣ן אָשׁ֔וּב וְלָקַחְתִּ֤י דְגָנִי֙ בְּעִתּ֔וֹ וְתִירוֹשִׁ֖י בְּמוֹעֲד֑וֹ וְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ צַמְרִ֣י וּפִשְׁתִּ֔י לְכַסּ֖וֹת אֶת־עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἐπιστρέψω καὶ κομιοῦμαι τὸν σῖτόν μου καθ’ ὥραν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸν οἶνόν μου ἐν καιρῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀφελοῦμαι τὰ ἱμάτιά μου καὶ τὰ ὀθόνιά μου τοῦ μὴ καλύπτειν τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην αὐτῆς
et cessare faciam omne gaudium ejus, solemnitatem ejus, neomeniam ejus, sabbatum ejus, et omnia festa tempora ejus.
ወእመይጥ፡ ኵሎ፡ በዓላቲሃ፡ ወፍስሓሃ፡ ወአውራኂሃ፡ ወአሥርኅሃ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ሕገጊሃ።
I will also cause all her celebrations to cease: her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies.
2:12
וְעַתָּ֛ה אֲגַלֶּ֥ה אֶת־נַבְלֻתָ֖הּ לְעֵינֵ֣י מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ וְאִ֖ישׁ לֹא־יַצִּילֶ֥נָּה מִיָּדִֽי׃
καὶ νῦν ἀποκαλύψω τὴν ἀκαθαρσίαν αὐτῆς ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐραστῶν αὐτῆς καὶ οὐδεὶς οὐ μὴ ἐξέληται αὐτὴν ἐκ χειρός μου
Et corrumpam vineam ejus, et ficum ejus, de quibus dixit : Mercedes hae meae sunt, quas dederunt mihi amatores mei ; et ponam eam in saltum, et comedet eam bestia agri.
ወአጠፍእ፡ ወይና፡ ወበለሳ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ዘትቤ፡ ደነስየ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘወሀቡኒ፡ መሐዛንየ። ወእሬስያ፡ በድው፡ ወአነብሮ፡ ስምዐ፡ ይኩና፡ ወይበልዕዋ፡ አራዊተ፡ ገዳም፡ ወአዕዋፈ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወአራዊተ፡ ምድር።
I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me,’ and I will make them a forest, and the animals of the field shall eat them.
2:13
וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ כׇּל־מְשׂוֹשָׂ֔הּ חַגָּ֖הּ חׇדְשָׁ֣הּ וְשַׁבַּתָּ֑הּ וְכֹ֖ל מוֹעֲדָֽהּ׃
καὶ ἀποστρέψω πάσας τὰς εὐφροσύνας αὐτῆς ἑορτὰς αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς νουμηνίας αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ σάββατα αὐτῆς καὶ πάσας τὰς πανηγύρεις αὐτῆς
Et visitabo super eam dies Baalim, quibus accendebat incensum, et ornabatur in aure sua, et monili suo. Et ibat post amatores suos, et mei obliviscebatur, dicit Dominus.
ወእትቤቀላ፡ ከመ፡ አመ፡ መዋዕለ፡ በዓሊም፡ ዘሦዐት፡ ሎሙ፡ ወተሠርገወት፡ አእኑጊሃ፡ ወባዝግናሃ፡ ወሖረት፡ ወተለወቶሙ፡ ለመሐዛኒሃ። ሊተሰ፡ ረስዐተኒ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
I will visit on her the days of the Baals, to which she burned incense when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers and forgot me,” says Yahweh.
2:14
וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִ֗י גַּפְנָהּ֙ וּתְאֵ֣נָתָ֔הּ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמְרָ֗ה אֶתְנָ֥ה הֵ֙מָּה֙ לִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתְנוּ־לִ֖י מְאַהֲבָ֑י וְשַׂמְתִּ֣ים לְיַ֔עַר וַאֲכָלָ֖תַם חַיַּ֥ת הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃
καὶ ἀφανιῶ ἄμπελον αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς συκᾶς αὐτῆς ὅσα εἶπεν μισθώματά μου ταῦτά ἐστιν ἃ ἔδωκάν μοι οἱ ἐρασταί μου καὶ θήσομαι αὐτὰ εἰς μαρτύριον καὶ καταφάγεται αὐτὰ τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τὰ ἑρπετὰ τῆς γῆς
Propter hoc ecce ego lactabo eam, et ducam eam in solitudinem, et loquar ad cor ejus.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ናሁ፡ አንጎግዋ፡ ወአሐውራ፡ በድወ፡ ወአዘነግዕ፡ ልባ።
“Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.
2:15
וּפָקַדְתִּ֣י עָלֶ֗יהָ אֶת־יְמֵ֤י הַבְּעָלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּקְטִ֣יר לָהֶ֔ם וַתַּ֤עַד נִזְמָהּ֙ וְחֶלְיָתָ֔הּ וַתֵּ֖לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֣י מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ וְאֹתִ֥י שָׁכְחָ֖ה נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐκδικήσω ἐπ’ αὐτὴν τὰς ἡμέρας τῶν Βααλιμ ἐν αἷς ἐπέθυεν αὐτοῖς καὶ περιετίθετο τὰ ἐνώτια αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ καθόρμια αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπορεύετο ὀπίσω τῶν ἐραστῶν αὐτῆς ἐμοῦ δὲ ἐπελάθετο λέγει κύριος
Et dabo ei vinitores ejus ex eodem loco, et vallem Achor, ad aperiendam spem ; et canet ibi juxta dies juventutis suae, et juxta dies ascensionis suae de terra Aegypti.
ወእሁባ፡ ጥሪታ፡ ዘእምህየ፡ ወእከሥት፡ ምክረ፡ በቆላተ፡ አካን፡ ወተኀሥር፡ በህየ፡ ከመ፡ አመ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ንእሳ፡ ወከመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ልደታ፡ እምከርሠ፡ እም፡ ወከመ፡ አመ፡ ተዐርግ፡ እምግብጽ።
I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she will respond there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
2:16
לָכֵ֗ן הִנֵּ֤ה אָנֹכִי֙ מְפַתֶּ֔יהָ וְהֹלַכְתִּ֖יהָ הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְדִבַּרְתִּ֖י עַל־לִבָּֽהּ׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πλανῶ αὐτὴν καὶ τάξω αὐτὴν εἰς ἔρημον καὶ λαλήσω ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτῆς
Et erit in die illa, ait Dominus : vocabit me, Vir meus, et non vocabit me ultra Baali.
ወይከውን፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ትብለኒ፡ ምትየ፡ ወኢትብል፡ እንከ፡ በዓሊም።
It will be in that day,” says Yahweh, “that you will call me ‘my husband,’ and no longer call me ‘my master.’
2:17
וְנָתַ֨תִּי לָ֤הּ אֶת־כְּרָמֶ֙יהָ֙ מִשָּׁ֔ם וְאֶת־עֵ֥מֶק עָכ֖וֹר לְפֶ֣תַח תִּקְוָ֑ה וְעָ֤נְתָה שָּׁ֙מָּה֙ כִּימֵ֣י נְעוּרֶ֔יהָ וּכְי֖וֹם עֲלוֹתָ֥הּ מֵאֶרֶץ־מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ δώσω αὐτῇ τὰ κτήματα αὐτῆς ἐκεῖθεν καὶ τὴν κοιλάδα Αχωρ διανοῖξαι σύνεσιν αὐτῆς καὶ ταπεινωθήσεται ἐκεῖ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας νηπιότητος αὐτῆς καὶ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας ἀναβάσεως αὐτῆς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Et auferam nomina Baalim de ore ejus, et non recordabitur ultra nominis eorum.
ወእስዕር፡ አስማቲሆሙ፡ ለበዓሊም፡ እምአፉሃ፡ ወኢትዜከሮሙ፡ እንከ፡ አስማቲሆሙ።
For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by name.
2:18
וְהָיָ֤ה בַיּוֹם־הַהוּא֙ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה תִּקְרְאִ֖י אִישִׁ֑י וְלֹא־תִקְרְאִי־לִ֥י ע֖וֹד בַּעְלִֽי׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος καλέσει με ὁ ἀνήρ μου καὶ οὐ καλέσει με ἔτι Βααλιμ
Et percutiam cum eis foedus in die illa, cum bestia agri, et cum volucre caeli, et cum reptili terrae ; et arcum, et gladium, et bellum conteram de terra, et dormire eos faciam fiducialiter.
ወይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ እትካየድ፡ ኪዳነ፡ ምስለ፡ ኵሉ፡ አራዊተ፡ ገዳም፡ ወምስለ፡ አዕዋፈ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወምስለ፡ ዘይትሐወስ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ወእስዕር፡ ቀስተ፡ ወኲናተ፡ ወጸብአ፡ እምድር፡ ወኣነብረኪ፡ ተአሚነኪ።
In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground. I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down safely.
2:19
וַהֲסִרֹתִ֛י אֶת־שְׁמ֥וֹת הַבְּעָלִ֖ים מִפִּ֑יהָ וְלֹא־יִזָּכְר֥וּ ע֖וֹד בִּשְׁמָֽם׃
καὶ ἐξαρῶ τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν Βααλιμ ἐκ στόματος αὐτῆς καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθῶσιν οὐκέτι τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν
Et sponsabo te mihi in sempiternum ; et sponsabo te mihi in justitia, et judicio, et in misericordia, et in miserationibus.
ወእፍኀረኪ፡ ሊተ፡ ብእሲተ፡ ለዓለም፡ በጽድቅ፡ ወበርትዕ፡ በሣህል፡ ወበምሕረት።
I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.
2:20
וְכָרַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֤ם בְּרִית֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא עִם־חַיַּ֤ת הַשָּׂדֶה֙ וְעִם־ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְרֶ֖מֶשׂ הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וְקֶ֨שֶׁת וְחֶ֤רֶב וּמִלְחָמָה֙ אֶשְׁבּ֣וֹר מִן־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְהִשְׁכַּבְתִּ֖ים לָבֶֽטַח׃
καὶ διαθήσομαι αὐτοῖς ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ διαθήκην μετὰ τῶν θηρίων τοῦ ἀγροῦ καὶ μετὰ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ μετὰ τῶν ἑρπετῶν τῆς γῆς καὶ τόξον καὶ ῥομφαίαν καὶ πόλεμον συντρίψω ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ κατοικιῶ σε ἐπ’ ἐλπίδι
Et sponsabo te mihi in fide ; et scies quia ego Dominus.
ወእፍኅረኪ፡ ሊተ፡ በሃይማኖት፡ ወተአምርኒ፡ እንከ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know Yahweh.
2:21
וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִ֖י לְעוֹלָ֑ם וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִי֙ בְּצֶ֣דֶק וּבְמִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּבְחֶ֖סֶד וּֽבְרַחֲמִֽים׃
καὶ μνηστεύσομαί σε ἐμαυτῷ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ μνηστεύσομαί σε ἐμαυτῷ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἐν κρίματι καὶ ἐν ἐλέει καὶ ἐν οἰκτιρμοῖς
Et erit in die illa : exaudiam, dicit Dominus, exaudiam caelos, et illi exaudient terram.
ወይከውን፡ ይእተ፡ ዕለተ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እሰጠዎ፡ ለሰማይ፡ ወሰማይኒ፡ ይሰጠዋ፡ ለምድር።
It will happen in that day, that I will respond,” says Yahweh. “I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth;
2:22
וְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְ לִ֖י בֶּאֱמוּנָ֑ה וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ μνηστεύσομαί σε ἐμαυτῷ ἐν πίστει καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ τὸν κύριον
Et terra exaudiet triticum, et vinum, et oleum, et haec exaudient Jezrahel.
ወምድርኒ፡ ትሰጠዎሙ፡ ለእክል፡ ወለወይን፡ ወለቅብዕ፡ ወእሙንቱሂ፡ ይሰጠውዎሙ፡ ለእስራኤል።
and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they will respond to Jezreel.
2:23
וְהָיָ֣ה׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא אֶֽעֱנֶה֙ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶעֱנֶ֖ה אֶת־הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְהֵ֖ם יַעֲנ֥וּ אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λέγει κύριος ἐπακούσομαι τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς ἐπακούσεται τῇ γῇ
Et seminabo eam mihi in terra, et miserebor ejus quae fuit Absque misericordia.
ወእዘርዕ፡ ላቲ፡ ሰላመ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር፡ ወእሣሃላ፡ ለእንተ፡ ኢኮነት፡ ሥህልተ፡ ወአፈቅራ፡ ለእንተ፡ ኢኮነት፡ ፍቅርተ።
I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’ and they will say, ‘You are My God!’”
2:24
וְהָאָ֣רֶץ תַּעֲנֶ֔ה אֶת־הַדָּגָ֖ן וְאֶת־הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְאֶת־הַיִּצְהָ֑ר וְהֵ֖ם יַעֲנ֥וּ אֶֽת־יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃
καὶ ἡ γῆ ἐπακούσεται τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὸν οἶνον καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ αὐτὰ ἐπακούσεται τῷ Ιεζραελ
Et dicam Non populo meo : Populus meus es tu ; et ipse dicet : Deus meus es tu.
ወእብሎ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ለዘኢኮነ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ወውእቱኒ፡ ይብለኒ፡ እግዚእየ፡ ወአምላኪየ፡ አንተ።
I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’ and they will say, ‘You are My God!’”
2:25
וּזְרַעְתִּ֤יהָ לִּי֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וְרִחַמְתִּ֖י אֶת־לֹ֣א רֻחָ֑מָה וְאָמַרְתִּ֤י לְלֹֽא־עַמִּי֙ עַמִּי־אַ֔תָּה וְה֖וּא יֹאמַ֥ר אֱלֹהָֽי׃ {פ}
καὶ σπερῶ αὐτὴν ἐμαυτῷ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐλεήσω τὴν Οὐκ‐ἠλεημένην καὶ ἐρῶ τῷ Οὐ‐λαῷ‐μου λαός μου εἶ σύ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐρεῖ κύριος ὁ θεός μου εἶ σύ

I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’ and they will say, ‘You are My God!’”
