16:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
Et factus est sermo Domini ad me , dicens :
ወነበበኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይቤለኒ ።
Again Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
16:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־אָדָ֕ם הוֹדַ֥ע אֶת ־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם אֶת ־תּוֹעֲבֹתֶֽיהָ ׃
υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου διαμάρτυραι τῇ Ιερουσαλημ τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτῆς
Fili hominis , notas fac Jerusalem abominationes suas ,
ወልደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ አስምዕ ፡ ላቲ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ኃጢአታ ።
“Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;
16:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָמַרְתָּ֞ כֹּה ־אָמַ֨ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהֹוִה֙ לִיר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם מְכֹרֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ וּמֹ֣לְדֹתַ֔יִךְ מֵאֶ֖רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י אָבִ֥יךְ הָאֱמֹרִ֖י וְאִמֵּ֥ךְ חִתִּֽית ׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος τῇ Ιερουσαλημ ἡ ῥίζα σου καὶ ἡ γένεσίς σου ἐκ γῆς Χανααν ὁ πατήρ σου Αμορραῖος καὶ ἡ μήτηρ σου Χετταία
et dices : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Jerusalem : Radix tua et generatio tua de terra Chanaan : pater tuus Amorrhaeus , et mater tua Cethaea .
ወበላ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ሥርውኪ ፡ ወዘመድኪ ፡ እምድረ ፡ ከነዓን ፡ አቡኪ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ ወእምኪ ፡ ኬጥያ ።
and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says to Jerusalem: “Your origin and your birth is of the land of the Canaanite. An Amorite was your father, and your mother was a Hittite.
16:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמוֹלְדוֹתַ֗יִךְ בְּי֨וֹם הוּלֶּ֤דֶת אוֹתָךְ֙ לֹא ־כׇרַּ֣ת שׇׁרֵּ֔ךְ וּבְמַ֥יִם לֹא ־רֻחַ֖צְתְּ לְמִשְׁעִ֑י וְהׇמְלֵ֙חַ֙ לֹ֣א הֻמְלַ֔חַתְּ וְהׇחְתֵּ֖ל לֹ֥א חֻתָּֽלְתְּ ׃
καὶ ἡ γένεσίς σου ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐτέχθης οὐκ ἔδησαν τοὺς μαστούς σου καὶ ἐν ὕδατι οὐκ ἐλούσθης οὐδὲ ἁλὶ ἡλίσθης καὶ σπαργάνοις οὐκ ἐσπαργανώθης
Et quando nata es , in die ortus tui non est praecisus umbilicus tuus , et aqua non es lota in salutem , nec sale salita , nec involuta pannis .
ወአመ ፡ ወለዱኪ ፡ ኢጸመሙ ፡ አጥባተኪ ፡ ወበማይ ፡ ኢሐፀቡኪ ፡ ወበጼው ፡ ኢሮቱኪ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ሕፅን ፡ ኢሐፀኑኪ ።
As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut. You weren’t washed in water to cleanse you. You weren’t salted at all, nor wrapped in blankets at all.
16:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־חָ֨סָה עָלַ֜יִךְ עַ֗יִן לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת לָ֛ךְ אַחַ֥ת מֵאֵ֖לֶּה לְחֻמְלָ֣ה עָלָ֑יִךְ וַֽתֻּשְׁלְכִ֞י אֶל ־פְּנֵ֤י הַשָּׂדֶה֙ בְּגֹ֣עַל נַפְשֵׁ֔ךְ בְּי֖וֹם הֻלֶּ֥דֶת אֹתָֽךְ ׃
οὐδὲ ἐφείσατο ὁ ὀφθαλμός μου ἐπὶ σοὶ τοῦ ποιῆσαί σοι ἓν ἐκ πάντων τούτων τοῦ παθεῖν τι ἐπὶ σοί καὶ ἀπερρίφης ἐπὶ πρόσωπον τοῦ πεδίου τῇ σκολιότητι τῆς ψυχῆς σου ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐτέχθης
Non pepercit super te oculus , ut faceret tibi unum de his , misertus tui : sed projecta es super faciem terrae in abjectione animae tuae in die qua nata es .
ወኢመሐከተኪ ፡ ዐይንየ ፡ ከመ ፡ እግበር ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ አሐተ ፡ እምእላንቱ ፡ ኵሎን ፡ ኢመሐኩኪ ። ወገደፉኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወተጽዕረት ፡ ነፍስኪ ፡ እምአመ ፡ ወለዱኪ ።
No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, because you were abhorred in the day that you were born.
16:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶעֱבֹ֤ר עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ וָֽאֶרְאֵ֔ךְ מִתְבּוֹסֶ֖סֶת בְּדָמָ֑יִךְ וָאֹ֤מַר לָךְ֙ בְּדָמַ֣יִךְ חֲיִ֔י וָאֹ֥מַר לָ֖ךְ בְּדָמַ֥יִךְ חֲיִֽי ׃
καὶ διῆλθον ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ εἶδόν σε πεφυρμένην ἐν τῷ αἵματί σου καὶ εἶπά σοι ἐκ τοῦ αἵματός σου ζωή
Transiens autem per te , vidi te conculcari in sanguine tuo : et dixi tibi cum esses in sanguine tuo : Vive , dixi , inquam , tibi : in sanguine tuo vive .
ወኀለፍኩ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ወርኢኩኪ ፡ ትሰክቢ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደምኪ ፡ ወእቤለኪ ፡ እምደምኪ ፡ ሕየዊ ።
“‘“When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you, ‘Though you are in your blood, live!’ Yes, I said to you, ‘Though you are in your blood, live!’
16:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ רְבָבָ֗ה כְּצֶ֤מַח הַשָּׂדֶה֙ נְתַתִּ֔יךְ וַתִּרְבִּי֙ וַֽתִּגְדְּלִ֔י וַתָּבֹ֖אִי בַּעֲדִ֣י עֲדָיִ֑ים שָׁדַ֤יִם נָכֹ֙נוּ֙ וּשְׂעָרֵ֣ךְ צִמֵּ֔חַ וְאַ֖תְּ עֵרֹ֥ם וְעֶרְיָֽה ׃
πληθύνου καθὼς ἡ ἀνατολὴ τοῦ ἀγροῦ δέδωκά σε καὶ ἐπληθύνθης καὶ ἐμεγαλύνθης καὶ εἰσῆλθες εἰς πόλεις πόλεων οἱ μαστοί σου ἀνωρθώθησαν καὶ ἡ θρίξ σου ἀνέτειλεν σὺ δὲ ἦσθα γυμνὴ καὶ ἀσχημονοῦσα
Multiplicatam quasi germen agri dedi te : et multiplicata es , et grandis effecta , et ingressa es , et pervenisti ad mundum muliebrem : ubera tua intumuerunt , et pilus tuus germinavit : et eras nuda , et confusione plena .
ወብዝኂ ፡ ወረሰይኩኪ ፡ ሠርፀ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወልህቂ ፡ ወዐበይኪ ፡ ወቦእኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አህጉረ ፡ አህጉር ። ወልህቀ ፡ አጥባትኪ ፡ ወበዝኀ ፡ ሥዕርትኪ ፡ ወኮንኪ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ወኮንኪ ፡ ዕርቅተ ፡ ወተኀፍሪ ።
I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you increased and grew great, and you attained to excellent beauty. Your breasts were formed, and your hair grew; yet you were naked and bare.
16:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶעֱבֹ֨ר עָלַ֜יִךְ וָאֶרְאֵ֗ךְ וְהִנֵּ֤ה עִתֵּךְ֙ עֵ֣ת דֹּדִ֔ים וָאֶפְרֹ֤שׂ כְּנָפִי֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ וָאֲכַסֶּ֖ה עֶרְוָתֵ֑ךְ וָאֶשָּׁ֣בַֽע לָ֠ךְ וָאָב֨וֹא בִבְרִ֜ית אֹתָ֗ךְ נְאֻ֛ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה וַתִּֽהְיִי ־לִֽי ׃
καὶ διῆλθον διὰ σοῦ καὶ εἶδόν σε καὶ ἰδοὺ καιρός σου καιρὸς καταλυόντων καὶ διεπέτασα τὰς πτέρυγάς μου ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐκάλυψα τὴν ἀσχημοσύνην σου καὶ ὤμοσά σοι καὶ εἰσῆλθον ἐν διαθήκῃ μετὰ σοῦ λέγει κύριος καὶ ἐγένου μοι
Et transivi per te , et vidi te : et ecce tempus tuum , tempus amantium : et expandi amictum meum super te , et operui ignominiam tuam : et juravi tibi , et ingressus sum pactum tecum , ait Dominus Deus , et facta es mihi .
ወኀለፍኩ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ወርኢኩኪ ፡ ከመ ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ጊዜኪ ፡ ወጊዜ ፡ እለ ፡ የኀድሩ ፡ ውስቴትኪ ። ወሰፋሕኩ ፡ እደውየ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወከደንኩ ፡ ኃፍረተኪ ፡ ወመሐልኩ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ወቦእኩ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ በሕግ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ። ወኮንኪ ፡ ሊተ ።
“‘“Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my garment over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I pledged myself to you and entered into a covenant with you,” says the Lord Yahweh, “and you became mine.
16:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶרְחָצֵ֣ךְ בַּמַּ֔יִם וָאֶשְׁטֹ֥ף דָּמַ֖יִךְ מֵעָלָ֑יִךְ וָאֲסֻכֵ֖ךְ בַּשָּֽׁמֶן ׃
καὶ ἔλουσά σε ἐν ὕδατι καὶ ἀπέπλυνα τὸ αἷμά σου ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ ἔχρισά σε ἐν ἐλαίῳ
Et lavi te aqua , et emundavi sanguinem tuum ex te , et unxi te oleo .
ወሐፀብኩኪ ፡ በማይ ፡ ወሐፀብኩ ፡ ደመኪ ፡ ወቀባእኩኪ ፡ ቅብአ ።
“‘“Then I washed you with water. Yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.
16:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאַלְבִּישֵׁ֣ךְ רִקְמָ֔ה וָאֶנְעֲלֵ֖ךְ תָּ֑חַשׁ וָאֶחְבְּשֵׁ֣ךְ בַּשֵּׁ֔שׁ וַאֲכַסֵּ֖ךְ מֶֽשִׁי ׃
καὶ ἐνέδυσά σε ποικίλα καὶ ὑπέδησά σε ὑάκινθον καὶ ἔζωσά σε βύσσῳ καὶ περιέβαλόν σε τριχάπτῳ
Et vestivi te discoloribus , et calceavi te janthino , et cinxi te bysso , et indui te subtilibus :
ወአልበስኩኪ ፡ ዓስቀ ፡ ወወሀብኩኪ ፡ አሣእነ ፡ ጸሊመ ፡ ወሜላተ ፡ ወሲራየ ።
I clothed you also with embroidered work and put leather sandals on you. I dressed you with fine linen and covered you with silk.
16:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶעְדֵּ֖ךְ עֶ֑דִי וָאֶתְּנָ֤ה צְמִידִים֙ עַל ־יָדַ֔יִךְ וְרָבִ֖יד עַל ־גְּרוֹנֵֽךְ ׃
καὶ ἐκόσμησά σε κόσμῳ καὶ περιέθηκα ψέλια περὶ τὰς χεῖράς σου καὶ κάθεμα περὶ τὸν τράχηλόν σου
et ornavi te ornamento , et dedi armillas in manibus tuis , et torquem circa collum tuum :
ወአሠርጎኩኪ ፡ ሠርጐ ፡ ወወደይኩ ፡ አውቃፋተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደውኪ ፡ ወባዝግና ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳድኪ ።
I decked you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands, and put a chain on your neck.
16:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָ֥אֶתֵּֽן ־נֶ֙זֶם֙ עַל ־אַפֵּ֔ךְ וַעֲגִילִ֖ים עַל ־אׇזְנָ֑יִךְ וַעֲטֶ֥רֶת תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת בְּרֹאשֵֽׁךְ ׃
καὶ ἔδωκα ἐνώτιον περὶ τὸν μυκτῆρά σου καὶ τροχίσκους ἐπὶ τὰ ὦτά σου καὶ στέφανον καυχήσεως ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλήν σου
et dedi inaurem super os tuum , et circulos auribus tuis , et coronam decoris in capite tuo .
ወአእኑገ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዘንኪ ፡ ወአክሊለ ፡ ምክሕ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርእስኪ ።
I put a ring on your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.
16:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתַּעְדִּ֞י זָהָ֣ב וָכֶ֗סֶף וּמַלְבּוּשֵׁךְ֙ (ששי ) [שֵׁ֤שׁ ] וָמֶ֙שִׁי֙ וְרִקְמָ֔ה סֹ֧לֶת וּדְבַ֛שׁ וָשֶׁ֖מֶן (אכלתי ) [אָכָ֑לְתְּ ] וַתִּ֙יפִי֙ בִּמְאֹ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד וַֽתִּצְלְחִ֖י לִמְלוּכָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐκοσμήθης χρυσίῳ καὶ ἀργυρίῳ καὶ τὰ περιβόλαιά σου βύσσινα καὶ τρίχαπτα καὶ ποικίλα σεμίδαλιν καὶ ἔλαιον καὶ μέλι ἔφαγες καὶ ἐγένου καλὴ σφόδρα
Et ornata es auro et argento , et vestita es bysso et polymito et multicoloribus : similam , et mel , et oleum comedisti : et decora facta es vehementer nimis , et profecisti in regnum .
ወአሠርጎኩኪ ፡ ወርቀ ፡ ወብሩረ ፡ ወመዋጥሐኪ ፡ ሜላተ ፡ ወሲራየ ፡ ወዓስቀ ። ወኀረስኩኪ ፡ በስንዳሌ ፡ ወመዐረ ፡ ወቅብአ ፡ ተሴሰይኪ ፡ ወበላዕኪ ፡ ወሰባሕኪ ፡ ወሠነይኪ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፣፡ ወረሰይኩኪ ፡ ድሉተ ፡ ለመንግሥት ።
Thus you were decked with gold and silver. Your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered work. You ate fine flour, honey, and oil. You were exceedingly beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.
16:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֵּ֨צֵא לָ֥ךְ שֵׁ֛ם בַּגּוֹיִ֖ם בְּיׇפְיֵ֑ךְ כִּ֣י ׀ כָּלִ֣יל ה֗וּא בַּהֲדָרִי֙ אֲשֶׁר ־שַׂ֣מְתִּי עָלַ֔יִךְ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃
καὶ ἐξῆλθέν σου ὄνομα ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐν τῷ κάλλει σου διότι συντετελεσμένον ἦν ἐν εὐπρεπείᾳ ἐν τῇ ὡραιότητι ᾗ ἔταξα ἐπὶ σέ λέγει κύριος
Et egressum est nomen tuum in gentes propter speciem tuam , quia perfecta eras in decore meo quem posueram super te , dicit Dominus Deus .
ወተሰምዐ ፡ ስምኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወሠነይኪ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፍጹም ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ላህይኪ ፡ ዘረሰይኩ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ሥንኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Your renown went out among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you,” says the Lord Yahweh.
16:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּבְטְחִ֣י בְיׇפְיֵ֔ךְ וַתִּזְנִ֖י עַל ־שְׁמֵ֑ךְ וַתִּשְׁפְּכִ֧י אֶת ־תַּזְנוּתַ֛יִךְ עַל ־כׇּל ־עוֹבֵ֖ר לוֹ ־יֶֽהִי ׃
καὶ ἐπεποίθεις ἐν τῷ κάλλει σου καὶ ἐπόρνευσας ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου καὶ ἐξέχεας τὴν πορνείαν σου ἐπὶ πάντα πάροδον ὃ οὐκ ἔσται
Et habens fiduciam in pulchritudine tua , fornicata es in nomine tuo : et exposuisti fornicationem tuam omni transeunti , ut ejus fieres .
ወተወከልኪ ፡ በሥንኪ ፡ ወዘመውኪ ፡ በስምኪ ፡ ወአፈድፈድኪ ፡ ዝሙተኪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ኃላፌ ፡ ፍኖት ።
“‘“But you trusted in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by. It was his.
16:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּקְחִ֣י מִבְּגָדַ֗יִךְ וַתַּֽעֲשִׂי ־לָךְ֙ בָּמ֣וֹת טְלֻא֔וֹת וַתִּזְנִ֖י עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א בָא֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א יִהְיֶֽה ׃
καὶ ἔλαβες ἐκ τῶν ἱματίων σου καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῇ εἴδωλα ῥαπτὰ καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας ἐπ’ αὐτά καὶ οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθῃς οὐδὲ μὴ γένηται
Et sumens de vestimentis tuis , fecisti tibi excelsa hinc inde consuta , et fornicata es super eis sicut non est factum , neque futurum est .
ወነሣእኪ ፡ እምልብስኪ ፡ ወገበርኪ ፡ ለኪ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ርፍዕ ፡ ወዘመውኪ ፡ ቦሙ ፣፡ ወኢቦእኪ ፡ ወኢይከውንሂ ፡ እንከ ።
You took some of your garments, and made for yourselves high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them. This shouldn’t happen, neither shall it be.
16:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּקְחִ֞י כְּלֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ מִזְּהָבִ֤י וּמִכַּסְפִּי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔ךְ וַתַּעֲשִׂי ־לָ֖ךְ צַלְמֵ֣י זָכָ֑ר וַתִּזְנִי ־בָֽם ׃
καὶ ἔλαβες τὰ σκεύη τῆς καυχήσεώς σου ἐκ τοῦ χρυσίου μου καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ἀργυρίου μου ἐξ ὧν ἔδωκά σοι καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῇ εἰκόνας ἀρσενικὰς καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας ἐν αὐταῖς
Et tulisti vasa decoris tui de auro meo atque argento meo , quae dedi tibi , et fecisti tibi imagines masculinas , et fornicata es in eis .
ወነሣእኪ ፡ ሠርጐ ፡ ምክሕኪ ፡ ወርቅየ ፡ ወብሩርየ ፡ ዘወሀብኩኪ ፡ ወገበርኪ ፡ አምሳለ ፡ ዕደው ፡ ወዘመውኪ ፡ ቦሙ ።
You also took your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and played the prostitute with them.
16:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּקְחִ֛י אֶת ־בִּגְדֵ֥י רִקְמָתֵ֖ךְ וַתְּכַסִּ֑ים וְשַׁמְנִי֙ וּקְטׇרְתִּ֔י (נתתי ) [נָתַ֖תְּ ] לִפְנֵיהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἔλαβες τὸν ἱματισμὸν τὸν ποικίλον σου καὶ περιέβαλες αὐτὰ καὶ τὸ ἔλαιόν μου καὶ τὸ θυμίαμά μου ἔθηκας πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν
Et sumpsisti vestimenta tua multicoloria , et operuisti illas , et oleum meum et thymiama meum posuisti coram eis .
ወነሣእኪ ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ዓስቅ ፡ ወአልበስኪዮሙ ፡ ወቅብእየ ፡ ወዕጣንየ ፡ አንበርኪ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጾሙ ።
You took your embroidered garments, covered them, and set my oil and my incense before them.
16:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלַחְמִי֩ אֲשֶׁר ־נָתַ֨תִּי לָ֜ךְ סֹ֣לֶת וָשֶׁ֤מֶן וּדְבַשׁ֙ הֶאֱכַלְתִּ֔יךְ וּנְתַתִּ֧יהוּ לִפְנֵיהֶ֛ם לְרֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ וַיֶּ֑הִי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃
καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους μου οὓς ἔδωκά σοι σεμίδαλιν καὶ ἔλαιον καὶ μέλι ἐψώμισά σε καὶ ἔθηκας αὐτὰ πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καὶ ἐγένετο λέγει κύριος
Et panem meum quem dedi tibi , similam , et oleum , et mel , quibus enutrivi te , posuisti in conspectu eorum in odorem suavitatis : et factum est , ait Dominus Deus .
ወእክልየ ፡ ዘሴሰይኩኪ ፡ ስንዳሌ ፡ ወቅብአ ፡ ወመዐረ ፡ ዘአብላዕኩኪ ፡ ሠራዕኪ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለመዐዛ ፡ ሠናይ ።
My bread also which I gave you, fine flour, oil, and honey, with which I fed you, you even set it before them for a pleasant aroma; and so it was,” says the Lord Yahweh.
16:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּקְחִ֞י אֶת ־בָּנַ֤יִךְ וְאֶת ־בְּנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָלַ֣דְתְּ לִ֔י וַתִּזְבָּחִ֥ים לָהֶ֖ם לֶאֱכ֑וֹל הַמְעַ֖ט (מתזנותך ) [מִתַּזְנוּתָֽיִךְ ]׃
καὶ ἔλαβες τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας σου ἃς ἐγέννησας καὶ ἔθυσας αὐτὰ αὐτοῖς εἰς ἀνάλωσιν ὡς μικρὰ ἐξεπόρνευσας
Et tulisti filios tuos et filias tuas quas generasti mihi , et immolasti eis ad devorandum . Numquid parva est fornicatio tua ?
ወእምዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነሣእኪ ፡ አዋልደኪ ፡ ወደቂቀኪ ፡ ዘወለድኪ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወሦዕኪ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወቀተልኪዮሙ ።
“‘“Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,
16:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽתִּשְׁחֲטִ֖י אֶת ־בָּנָ֑י וַֽתִּתְּנִ֔ים בְּהַעֲבִ֥יר אוֹתָ֖ם לָהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἔσφαξας τὰ τέκνα σου καὶ ἔδωκας αὐτὰ ἐν τῷ ἀποτροπιάζεσθαί σε ἐν αὐτοῖς
Immolasti filios meos , et dedisti , illos consecrans , eis .
ታስተንእሲኑ ፡ ዘዘመውኪ ፡ ወሦዕኪ ፡ ደቂቅየ ፡ ወአባእኪ ፡ ሎሙ ።
that you have slain my children and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?
16:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֵ֤ת כׇּל ־תּוֹעֲבֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ וְתַזְנֻתַ֔יִךְ לֹ֥א (זכרתי ) [זָכַ֖רְתְּ ] אֶת ־יְמֵ֣י נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ בִּֽהְיוֹתֵךְ֙ עֵירֹ֣ם וְעֶרְיָ֔ה מִתְבּוֹסֶ֥סֶת בְּדָמֵ֖ךְ הָיִֽית ׃
τοῦτο παρὰ πᾶσαν τὴν πορνείαν σου καὶ οὐκ ἐμνήσθης τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς νηπιότητός σου ὅτε ἦσθα γυμνὴ καὶ ἀσχημονοῦσα καὶ πεφυρμένη ἐν τῷ αἵματί σου ἔζησας
Et post omnes abominationes tuas et fornicationes , non es recordata dierum adolescentiae tuae , quando eras nuda et confusione plena , conculcata in sanguine tuo .
ዝንቱ ፡ እኩይ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ዝሙትኪ ፡ ወርኵስኪ ፡ ወኢተዘከርኪ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ንእስኪ ፡ አመ ፡ ዕራቅኪ ፡ አንቲ ፡ ወተኀፍሪ ፡ ወጽንቅቅት ፡ አንቲ ፡ በደምኪ ፡ ሐዮኪ ።
In all your abominations and your prostitution you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were wallowing in your blood.
16:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֕י אַחֲרֵ֖י כׇּל ־רָעָתֵ֑ךְ א֣וֹי א֣וֹי לָ֔ךְ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ πάσας τὰς κακίας σου λέγει κύριος
Et accidit post omnem malitiam tuam (vae , vae tibi ! ait Dominus Deus ),
ወእምዝ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እከይኪ ፡ አሌ ፡ ለኪ ፡ አሌ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
“‘“It has happened after all your wickedness—woe, woe to you!” says the Lord Yahweh—
16:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּבְנִי ־לָ֖ךְ גָּ֑ב וַתַּעֲשִׂי ־לָ֥ךְ רָמָ֖ה בְּכׇל ־רְחֽוֹב ׃
καὶ ᾠκοδόμησας σεαυτῇ οἴκημα πορνικὸν καὶ ἐποίησας σεαυτῇ ἔκθεμα ἐν πάσῃ πλατείᾳ
et aedificasti tibi lupanar , et fecisti tibi prostibulum in cunctis plateis .
ሐነጽኪ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ትዜምዊ ፡ ወገበርኪ ፡ ለኪ ፡ መንበረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መርሕብ ።
“that you have built for yourselves a vaulted place, and have made yourselves a lofty place in every street.
16:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶל ־כׇּל ־רֹ֣אשׁ דֶּ֗רֶךְ בָּנִית֙ רָמָתֵ֔ךְ וַתְּתַֽעֲבִי֙ אֶת ־יׇפְיֵ֔ךְ וַתְּפַשְּׂקִ֥י אֶת ־רַגְלַ֖יִךְ לְכׇל ־עוֹבֵ֑ר וַתַּרְבִּ֖י אֶת ־[תַּזְנוּתָֽיִךְ ] (תזנותך )׃
καὶ ἐπ’ ἀρχῆς πάσης ὁδοῦ ᾠκοδόμησας τὰ πορνεῖά σου καὶ ἐλυμήνω τὸ κάλλος σου καὶ διήγαγες τὰ σκέλη σου παντὶ παρόδῳ καὶ ἐπλήθυνας τὴν πορνείαν σου
Ad omne caput viae aedificasti signum prostitutionis tuae , et abominabilem fecisti decorem tuum : et divisisti pedes tuos omni transeunti , et multiplicasti fornicationes tuas :
ወውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ሐነጽኪ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ትዜምዊ ፣፡ ወአርኰስኪ ፡ ሥነኪ ፡ ወቀፈጽኪ ፡ አቍያጸኪ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ኃላፌ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ወአብዛኅኪ ፡ ዝሙተኪ ።
You have built your lofty place at the head of every way, and have made your beauty an abomination, and have opened your feet to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your prostitution.
16:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּזְנִ֧י אֶל ־בְּנֵי ־מִצְרַ֛יִם שְׁכֵנַ֖יִךְ גִּדְלֵ֣י בָשָׂ֑ר וַתַּרְבִּ֥י אֶת ־תַּזְנֻתֵ֖ךְ לְהַכְעִיסֵֽנִי ׃
καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Αἰγύπτου τοὺς ὁμοροῦντάς σοι τοὺς μεγαλοσάρκους καὶ πολλαχῶς ἐξεπόρνευσας τοῦ παροργίσαι με
et fornicata es cum filiis Aegypti , vicinis tuis , magnarum carnium : et multiplicasti fornicationem tuam ad irritandum me .
ወዘመውኪ ፡ በደቂቀ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ቅሩባንኪ ፡ እለ ፡ ዓቢይ ፡ ነፍስቶሙ ፣፡ ወዘልፈ ፡ ትዜምዊ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ወአቅናእክኒ ።
You have also committed sexual immorality with the Egyptians, your neighbors, great of flesh; and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.
16:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִנֵּ֨ה נָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ וָאֶגְרַ֖ע חֻקֵּ֑ךְ וָאֶתְּנֵ֞ךְ בְּנֶ֤פֶשׁ שֹׂנְאוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּנ֣וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים הַנִּכְלָמ֖וֹת מִדַּרְכֵּ֥ךְ זִמָּֽה ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐκτείνω τὴν χεῖρά μου ἐπὶ σέ καὶ ἐξαρῶ τὰ νόμιμά σου καὶ παραδώσω σε εἰς ψυχὰς μισούντων σε θυγατέρας ἀλλοφύλων τὰς ἐκκλινούσας σε ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ σου ἧς ἠσέβησας
Ecce ego extendam manum meam super te , et auferam justificationem tuam , et dabo te in animas odientium te filiarum Palaestinarum , quae erubescunt in via tua scelerata .
ወአነሥእ ፡ እዴየ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወእሥዕር ፡ ሕገኪ ፡ ወእሜጥወኪ ፡ ለነፍሰ ፡ ጸላእትኪ ፣፡ አዋልደ ፡ ኢሎፍሊ ፡ እለ ፡ ሜጣኪ ፡ እምፍኖትኪ ፡ ወአስሐታኪ ።
See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your portion, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.
16:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתִּזְנִי֙ אֶל ־בְּנֵ֣י אַשּׁ֔וּר מִבִּלְתִּ֖י שׇׂבְעָתֵ֑ךְ וַתִּזְנִ֕ים וְגַ֖ם לֹ֥א שָׂבָֽעַתְּ ׃
καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας ἐπὶ τὰς θυγατέρας Ασσουρ καὶ οὐδ’ οὕτως ἐνεπλήσθης καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας καὶ οὐκ ἐνεπίπλω
Et fornicata es in filiis Assyriorum eo quod necdum fueris expleta : et postquam fornicata es , nec sic es satiata :
ወዘመውኪ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ አሶር ፣፡ ወምስለ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ኢጸገብኪ ፡ ወኢአከለኪ ፡ ዝሙትኪ ።
You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren’t satisfied.
16:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַתַּרְבִּ֧י אֶת ־תַּזְנוּתֵ֛ךְ אֶל ־אֶ֥רֶץ כְּנַ֖עַן כַּשְׂדִּ֑ימָה וְגַם ־בְּזֹ֖את לֹ֥א שָׂבָֽעַתְּ ׃
καὶ ἐπλήθυνας τὰς διαθήκας σου πρὸς γῆν Χαλδαίων καὶ οὐδὲ ἐν τούτοις ἐνεπλήσθης
et multiplicasti fornicationem tuam in terra Chanaan cum Chaldaeis , et nec sic satiata es .
ወአብዛኅኪ ፡ ዝሙተኪ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከነዓን ፡ ወከላውዴዎን ፣፡ ወምስለ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ኢጸገብኪ ።
You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of merchants, to Chaldea; and yet you weren’t satisfied with this.
16:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ מָ֤ה אֲמֻלָה֙ לִבָּתֵ֔ךְ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה בַּֽעֲשׂוֹתֵךְ֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־אֵ֔לֶּה מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה אִשָּֽׁה ־זוֹנָ֖ה שַׁלָּֽטֶת ׃
τί διαθῶ τὴν θυγατέρα σου λέγει κύριος ἐν τῷ ποιῆσαί σε ταῦτα πάντα ἔργα γυναικὸς πόρνης καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσας τρισσῶς
In quo mundabo cor tuum , ait Dominus Deus , cum facias omnia haec opera mulieris meretricis et procacis ?
ምንተ ፡ እሬስዮን ፡ ለአዋልድኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እስመ ፡ ገበርኪ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ግብረ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ ዘማ ፡ ወዘመውኪ ፡ ትሥልስተ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አዋልድኪ ።
“‘“How weak is your heart,” says the Lord Yahweh, “since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;
16:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ בִּבְנוֹתַ֤יִךְ גַּבֵּךְ֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ כׇּל ־דֶּ֔רֶךְ וְרָמָתֵ֥ךְ (עשיתי ) [עָשִׂ֖ית ] בְּכׇל ־רְח֑וֹב וְלֹא ־[הָיִ֥ית ] (הייתי ) כַּזּוֹנָ֖ה לְקַלֵּ֥ס אֶתְנָֽן ׃
ἐν ταῖς θυγατράσιν σου τὸ πορνεῖόν σου ᾠκοδόμησας ἐπὶ πάσης ἀρχῆς ὁδοῦ καὶ τὴν βάσιν σου ἐποίησας ἐν πάσῃ πλατείᾳ καὶ ἐγένου ὡς πόρνη συνάγουσα μισθώματα
Quia fabricasti lupanar tuum in capite omnis viae , et excelsum tuum fecisti in omni platea : nec facta es quasi meretrix fastidio augens pretium ,
ወሐነጽኪ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ትዜምዊ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ወገበርኪ ፡ ምንባራተኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መርሕብ ። ወከመ ፡ ዘማኒ ፡ ኢኮንኪ ፡ አንቲ ፡ እንተ ፡ ታስተጋብእ ፡ ደነሰ ።
in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way, and make your lofty place in every street, and have not been as a prostitute, in that you scorn pay.
16:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָאִשָּׁ֖ה הַמְּנָאָ֑פֶת תַּ֣חַת אִישָׁ֔הּ תִּקַּ֖ח אֶת ־זָרִֽים ׃
ἡ γυνὴ ἡ μοιχωμένη ὁμοία σοι παρὰ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς λαμβάνουσα μισθώματα
sed quasi mulier adultera , quae super virum suum inducit alienos .
ተመሰልኪ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትነሥእ ፡ ሀብሀበ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምታ ።
“‘“Adulterous wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
16:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְכׇל ־זֹנ֖וֹת יִתְּנוּ ־נֵ֑דֶה וְאַ֨תְּ נָתַ֤תְּ אֶת ־נְדָנַ֙יִךְ֙ לְכׇל ־מְאַֽהֲבַ֔יִךְ וַתִּשְׁחֳדִ֣י אוֹתָ֗ם לָב֥וֹא אֵלַ֛יִךְ מִסָּבִ֖יב בְּתַזְנוּתָֽיִךְ ׃
πᾶσι τοῖς ἐκπορνεύσασιν αὐτὴν προσεδίδου μισθώματα καὶ σὺ δέδωκας μισθώματα πᾶσι τοῖς ἐρασταῖς σου καὶ ἐφόρτιζες αὐτοὺς τοῦ ἔρχεσθαι πρὸς σὲ κυκλόθεν ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ σου
Omnibus meretricibus dantur mercedes : tu autem dedisti mercedes cunctis amatoribus tuis , et dona donabas eis , ut intrarent ad te undique ad fornicandum tecum .
ወትዴንሶሙ ፡ ለመሐዛኒሃ ፡ እለ ፡ ትዜሙ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ። ወአንቲሰ ፡ ወሀብኪ ፡ ደነሰኪ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ መሐዛንኪ ፡ ወአሐለይኪዮሙ ፡ ይምጽኡ ፡ ኀቤኪ ፡ ወይመግቡኪ ፡ በዝሙትኪ ።
People give gifts to all prostitutes; but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitution.
16:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִי ־בָ֨ךְ הֵ֤פֶךְ מִן ־הַנָּשִׁים֙ בְּתַזְנוּתַ֔יִךְ וְאַחֲרַ֖יִךְ לֹ֣א זוּנָּ֑ה וּבְתִתֵּ֣ךְ אֶתְנָ֗ן וְאֶתְנַ֛ן לֹ֥א נִתַּן ־לָ֖ךְ וַתְּהִ֥י לְהֶֽפֶךְ ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν σοὶ διεστραμμένον παρὰ τὰς γυναῖκας ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ σου καὶ μετὰ σοῦ πεπορνεύκασιν ἐν τῷ προσδιδόναι σε μισθώματα καὶ σοὶ μισθώματα οὐκ ἐδόθη καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν σοὶ διεστραμμένα
Factumque est in te contra consuetudinem mulierum in fornicationibus tuis , et post te non erit fornicatio : in eo enim quod dedisti mercedes , et mercedes non accepisti , factum est in te contrarium .
ወፈድፋደ ፡ ተገፍትዐ ፡ ዝሙትኪ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ አንስት ፡ እለ ፡ ዘመዋ ፡ ምስሌኪ ፡ እስመ ፡ ደነስኪ ፡ ወኢያደነሱኪ ፡ ወኮንኪ ፡ አንቲ ፡ ዕሉተ ፡ ወአፍለቂ ።
You are different from other women in your prostitution, in that no one follows you to play the prostitute; and whereas you give hire, and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.”’
16:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֣ן זוֹנָ֔ה שִׁמְעִ֖י דְּבַר ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
διὰ τοῦτο πόρνη ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου
Propterea , meretrix , audi verbum Domini .
በበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ስምዒ ፡ ዘማ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
“Therefore, prostitute, hear Yahweh’s word:
16:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּה ־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֗ה יַ֣עַן הִשָּׁפֵ֤ךְ נְחֻשְׁתֵּךְ֙ וַתִּגָּלֶ֣ה עֶרְוָתֵ֔ךְ בְּתַזְנוּתַ֖יִךְ עַל ־מְאַֽהֲבָ֑יִךְ וְעַל֙ כׇּל ־גִּלּוּלֵ֣י תוֹעֲבוֹתַ֔יִךְ וְכִדְמֵ֣י בָנַ֔יִךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תְּ לָהֶֽם ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐξέχεας τὸν χαλκόν σου καὶ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται ἡ αἰσχύνη σου ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ σου πρὸς τοὺς ἐραστάς σου καὶ εἰς πάντα τὰ ἐνθυμήματα τῶν ἀνομιῶν σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς αἵμασιν τῶν τέκνων σου ὧν ἔδωκας αὐτοῖς
Haec dicit Dominus Deus : Quia effusum est aes tuum et revelata est ignominia tua in fornicationibus tuis super amatores tuos , et super idola abominationum tuarum , in sanguine filiorum tuorum quos dedisti eis ,
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ዘሮኪ ፡ ወርቅየ ፡ ወቀፈጽኪ ፡ ኃፍረተኪ ፡ በዝሙትኪ ፡ ለመሐዛንኪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ፍትወተ ፡ ኃጢአትኪ ፡ ወበደመ ፡ ደቂቅኪ ፡ ዘወሀብኪዮሙ ።
‘The Lord Yahweh says, “Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them;
16:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָ֠כֵ֠ן הִנְנִ֨י מְקַבֵּ֤ץ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מְאַהֲבַ֙יִךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָרַ֣בְתְּ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וְאֵת֙ כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָהַ֔בְתְּ עַ֖ל כׇּל ־אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׂנֵ֑את וְקִבַּצְתִּי֩ אֹתָ֨ם עָלַ֜יִךְ מִסָּבִ֗יב וְגִלֵּיתִ֤י עֶרְוָתֵךְ֙ אֲלֵהֶ֔ם וְרָא֖וּ אֶת ־כׇּל ־עֶרְוָתֵֽךְ ׃
διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ συνάγω πάντας τοὺς ἐραστάς σου ἐν οἷς ἐπεμίγης ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ πάντας οὓς ἠγάπησας σὺν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐμίσεις καὶ συνάξω αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ σὲ κυκλόθεν καὶ ἀποκαλύψω τὰς κακίας σου πρὸς αὐτούς καὶ ὄψονται πᾶσαν τὴν αἰσχύνην σου
ecce ego congregabo omnes amatores tuos quibus commista es , et omnes quos dilexisti , cum universis quos oderas : et congregabo eos super te undique , et nudabo ignominiam tuam coram eis , et videbunt omnem turpitudinem tuam .
በበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አስተጋብኦሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ መሐዛንኪ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ እለ ፡ ተደመርኪ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፣፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ አፍቀርኪዮሙ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እለ ፡ ጸላእኪዮሙ ። ወአስተጋብኦሙ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወየዐግቱኪ ፣፡ ወእቀፍጽ ፡ ኃሣረኪ ፡ በቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ወይሬእዩኪ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ኃፍረተኪ ።
therefore see, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those whom you have loved, with all those whom you have hated. I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.
16:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְ֙ מִשְׁפְּטֵ֣י נֹאֲפ֔וֹת וְשֹׁפְכֹ֖ת דָּ֑ם וּנְתַתִּ֕יךְ דַּ֥ם חֵמָ֖ה וְקִנְאָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐκδικήσω σε ἐκδικήσει μοιχαλίδος καὶ ἐκχεούσης αἷμα καὶ θήσω σε ἐν αἵματι θυμοῦ καὶ ζήλου
Et judicabo te judiciis adulterarum , et effundentium sanguinem : et dabo te in sanguinem furoris et zeli .
ወእትቤቀለኪ ፡ በቀለ ፡ ዘማት ፡ ወእለ ፡ ይቀትላ ፡ ነፍሰ ፣፡ ወአነብረኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደመ ፡ መዓት ፡ ወቅንአት ።
I will judge you as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.
16:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֹתָ֜ךְ בְּיָדָ֗ם וְהָרְס֤וּ גַבֵּךְ֙ וְנִתְּצ֣וּ רָמֹתַ֔יִךְ וְהִפְשִׁ֤יטוּ אוֹתָךְ֙ בְּגָדַ֔יִךְ וְלָקְח֖וּ כְּלֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֑ךְ וְהִנִּיח֖וּךְ עֵירֹ֥ם וְעֶרְיָֽה ׃
καὶ παραδώσω σε εἰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν καὶ κατασκάψουσιν τὸ πορνεῖόν σου καὶ καθελοῦσιν τὴν βάσιν σου καὶ ἐκδύσουσίν σε τὸν ἱματισμόν σου καὶ λήμψονται τὰ σκεύη τῆς καυχήσεώς σου καὶ ἀφήσουσίν σε γυμνὴν καὶ ἀσχημονοῦσαν
Et dabo te in manus eorum , et destruent lupanar tuum , et demolientur prostibulum tuum : et denudabunt te vestimentis tuis , et auferent vasa decoris tui , et derelinquent te nudam , plenamque ignominia :
ወእሜጥወኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ፡ ወያንኅሉ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ዝሙትኪ ፡ ወይነሥቱ ፡ መናብርተኪ ፡ ወይሰልቡኪ ፡ አልባሰኪ ፡ ወሠርጐ ፡ ምክሕኪ ፣፡ ወየኀድጉኪ ፡ ዕራቀኪ ፡ ወተኀሥሪ ።
I will also give you into their hand, and they will throw down your vaulted place, and break down your lofty places. They will strip you of your clothes and take your beautiful jewels. They will leave you naked and bare.
16:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֶעֱל֤וּ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ קָהָ֔ל וְרָגְמ֥וּ אוֹתָ֖ךְ בָּאָ֑בֶן וּבִתְּק֖וּךְ בְּחַרְבוֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ ἄξουσιν ἐπὶ σὲ ὄχλους καὶ λιθοβολήσουσίν σε ἐν λίθοις καὶ κατασφάξουσίν σε ἐν τοῖς ξίφεσιν αὐτῶν
et adducent super te multitudinem , et lapidabunt te lapidibus , et trucidabunt te gladiis suis :
ወይትጋብኡ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወይዌግሩኪ ፡ በእብን ፡ ወይረግዙኪ ፡ በመጣብሒሆሙ ።
They will also bring up a company against you, and they will stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.
16:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׂרְפ֤וּ בָתַּ֙יִךְ֙ בָּאֵ֔שׁ וְעָשׂוּ ־בָ֣ךְ שְׁפָטִ֔ים לְעֵינֵ֖י נָשִׁ֣ים רַבּ֑וֹת וְהִשְׁבַּתִּיךְ֙ מִזּוֹנָ֔ה וְגַם ־אֶתְנַ֖ן לֹ֥א תִתְּנִי ־עֽוֹד ׃
καὶ ἐμπρήσουσιν τοὺς οἴκους σου πυρὶ καὶ ποιήσουσιν ἐν σοὶ ἐκδικήσεις ἐνώπιον γυναικῶν πολλῶν καὶ ἀποστρέψω σε ἐκ τῆς πορνείας σου καὶ μισθώματα οὐ μὴ δῷς οὐκέτι
et comburent domos tuas igni , et facient in te judicia in oculis mulierum plurimarum . Et desines fornicari , et mercedes ultra non dabis :
ወያውዕዩ ፡ በእሳት ፡ አብያተኪ ፡ ወይትቤቀሉኪ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ብዙኃት ፡ አንስት ። ወአኀደገኪ ፡ ዝሙተኪ ፡ ወኢትዴንሲ ፡ እንከ ።
They will burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women. I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute, and you will also give no hire any more.
16:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַהֲנִחֹתִ֤י חֲמָתִי֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְסָ֥רָה קִנְאָתִ֖י מִמֵּ֑ךְ וְשָׁ֣קַטְתִּ֔י וְלֹ֥א אֶכְעַ֖ס עֽוֹד ׃
καὶ ἐπαφήσω τὸν θυμόν μου ἐπὶ σέ καὶ ἐξαρθήσεται ὁ ζῆλός μου ἐκ σοῦ καὶ ἀναπαύσομαι καὶ οὐ μὴ μεριμνήσω οὐκέτι
et requiescet indignatio mea in te , et auferetur zelus meus a te : et quiescam , nec irascar amplius .
ወእፌኑ ፡ መዐትየ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወአነፍስ ፡ ቅንአትየ ፡ እምኔኪ ፡ ወአዐርፍ ፡ ወኢይሔልየኪ ፡ እንከ ።
So I will cause my wrath toward you to rest, and my jealousy will depart from you. I will be quiet, and will not be angry any more.
16:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא ־[זָכַרְתְּ֙ ] (זכרתי ) אֶת ־יְמֵ֣י נְעוּרַ֔יִךְ וַתִּרְגְּזִי ־לִ֖י בְּכׇל ־אֵ֑לֶּה וְגַם ־אֲנִ֨י הֵ֜א דַּרְכֵּ֣ךְ ׀ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ נָתַ֗תִּי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה וְלֹ֤א (עשיתי ) [עָשִׂית֙ ] אֶת ־הַזִּמָּ֔ה עַ֖ל כׇּל ־תּוֹעֲבֹתָֽיִךְ ׃
ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἐμνήσθης τὴν ἡμέραν τῆς νηπιότητός σου καὶ ἐλύπεις με ἐν πᾶσι τούτοις καὶ ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ τὰς ὁδούς σου εἰς κεφαλήν σου δέδωκα λέγει κύριος καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησας τὴν ἀσέβειαν ἐπὶ πάσαις ταῖς ἀνομίαις σου
Eo quod non fueris recordata dierum adolescentiae tuae , et provocasti me in omnibus his , quapropter et ego vias tuas in capite tuo dedi , ait Dominus Deus , et non feci juxta scelera tua in omnibus abominationibus tuis .
እስመ ፡ ኢተዘከርኪ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ንእስኪ ፡ ወአቅናእክኒ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ዝንቱ ። ወአነ ፡ አገብእ ፡ ፍኖተኪ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ርእስኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወከመዝ ፡ ገበርኪ ፡ ኃጢአተ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ጌጋይኪ ።
“‘“Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have raged against me in all these things; therefore, behold, I also will bring your way on your head,” says the Lord Yahweh: “and you shall not commit this lewdness with all your abominations.
16:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּה֙ כׇּל ־הַמֹּשֵׁ֔ל עָלַ֥יִךְ יִמְשֹׁ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר כְּאִמָּ֖הֿ בִּתָּֽהּ ׃
ταῦτά ἐστιν πάντα ὅσα εἶπαν κατὰ σοῦ ἐν παραβολῇ λέγοντες καθὼς ἡ μήτηρ καὶ ἡ θυγάτηρ
Ecce omnis qui dicit vulgo proverbium , in te assumet illud , dicens : Sicut mater , ita et filia ejus .
ዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘነበቡ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወመሰሉ ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ በከመ ፡ እም ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ወለታ ።
“‘“Behold, everyone who uses proverbs will use this proverb against you, saying, ‘As is the mother, so is her daughter.’
16:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּת ־אִמֵּ֣ךְ אַ֔תְּ גֹּעֶ֥לֶת אִישָׁ֖הּ וּבָנֶ֑יהָ וַאֲח֨וֹת אֲחוֹתֵ֜ךְ אַ֗תְּ אֲשֶׁ֤ר גָּֽעֲלוּ֙ אַנְשֵׁיהֶ֣ן וּבְנֵיהֶ֔ן אִמְּכֶ֣ן חִתִּ֔ית וַאֲבִיכֶ֖ן אֱמֹרִֽי ׃
θυγάτηρ τῆς μητρός σου σὺ εἶ ἡ ἀπωσαμένη τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς καὶ ἀδελφὴ τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου τῶν ἀπωσαμένων τοὺς ἄνδρας αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ἡ μήτηρ ὑμῶν Χετταία καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν Αμορραῖος
Filia matris tuae es tu , quae projecit virum suum et filios suos : et soror sororum tuarum es tu , quae projecerunt viros suos et filios suos : mater vestra Cethaea , et pater vester Amorrhaeus .
ወለተ ፡ እምኪ ፡ አንቲ ፡ እንተ ፡ ጸግበቶ ፡ ለምታ ፡ ወለደቂቃኒ ፡ ወእኅተ ፡ አኃትኪ ፡ እለ ፡ ኀደጋ ፡ እምታቲሆን ፡ ወውሉዶን ። እምክንሂ ፡ ኬጥያ ፡ ወአቡክን ፡ አሞሬዎን ።
You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
16:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲחוֹתֵ֨ךְ הַגְּדוֹלָ֤ה שֹׁמְרוֹן֙ הִ֣יא וּבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ הַיּוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת עַל ־שְׂמֹאולֵ֑ךְ וַאֲחוֹתֵ֞ךְ הַקְּטַנָּ֣ה מִמֵּ֗ךְ הַיּוֹשֶׁ֙בֶת֙ מִֽימִינֵ֔ךְ סְדֹ֖ם וּבְנוֹתֶֽיהָ ׃
ἡ ἀδελφὴ ὑμῶν ἡ πρεσβυτέρα Σαμάρεια αὐτὴ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς ἡ κατοικοῦσα ἐξ εὐωνύμων σου καὶ ἡ ἀδελφή σου ἡ νεωτέρα σου ἡ κατοικοῦσα ἐκ δεξιῶν σου Σοδομα καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς
Et soror tua major , Samaria , ipsa et filiae ejus , quae habitant ad sinistram tuam : soror autem tua minor te , quae habitat a dextris tuis , Sodoma , et filiae ejus .
ወእኅትክን ፡ እንተ ፡ ትልህቅ ፡ ሰማርያ ፡ ይእትኒ ፡ ወአዋልዲሃኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብራ ፡ በፅግምክን ፡ ወእኅትክን ፡ እንተ ፡ ትንእስ ፡ እንተ ፡ ትነብር ፡ በይምንክን ፡ ሰዶም ፡ ወአዋልዲሃኒ ።
Your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom with her daughters.
16:47 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹ֤א בְדַרְכֵיהֶן֙ הָלַ֔כְתְּ וּכְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֖ן (עשיתי ) [עָשִׂ֑ית ] כִּמְעַ֣ט קָ֔ט וַתַּשְׁחִ֥תִי מֵהֵ֖ן בְּכׇל ־דְּרָכָֽיִךְ ׃
καὶ οὐδ’ ὧς ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν ἐπορεύθης οὐδὲ κατὰ τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτῶν ἐποίησας παρὰ μικρὸν καὶ ὑπέρκεισαι αὐτὰς ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς σου
Sed nec in viis earum ambulasti , neque secundum scelera earum fecisti pauxillum minus : pene sceleratiora fecisti illis in omnibus viis tuis .
ወበፍኖቶንሂ ፡ ኢሖርኪ ፡ ወበከመ ፡ ኃጢአቶንሂ ፡ ኢገበርኪ ፡ ንስቲተ ፡ ወአፈድፈድኪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ፍኖትኪ ።
Yet you have not walked in their ways, nor done their abominations; but soon you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.
16:48 ⧉ ⤴︎ חַי ־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה אִם ־עָֽשְׂתָה֙ סְדֹ֣ם אֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְ הִ֖יא וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔ית אַ֖תְּ וּבְנוֹתָֽיִךְ ׃
ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος εἰ πεποίηκεν Σοδομα ἡ ἀδελφή σου αὐτὴ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς ὃν τρόπον ἐποίησας σὺ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου
Vivo ego , dicit Dominus Deus , quia non fecit Sodoma soror tua , ipsa et filiae ejus , sicut fecisti tu et filiae tuae .
ሕያው ፡ አነ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢገብረት ፡ ሰዶም ፡ እኅጥኪ ፡ ወአዋልዲሃ ፡ በከመ ፡ ገበርኪ ፡ አንቲ ፡ ወአዋልድኪ ።
As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.
16:49 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּה ־זֶ֣ה הָיָ֔ה עֲוֺ֖ן סְדֹ֣ם אֲחוֹתֵ֑ךְ גָּא֨וֹן שִׂבְעַת ־לֶ֜חֶם וְשַׁלְוַ֣ת הַשְׁקֵ֗ט הָ֤יָה לָהּ֙ וְלִבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ וְיַד ־עָנִ֥י וְאֶבְי֖וֹן לֹ֥א הֶחֱזִֽיקָה ׃
πλὴν τοῦτο τὸ ἀνόμημα Σοδομων τῆς ἀδελφῆς σου ὑπερηφανία ἐν πλησμονῇ ἄρτων καὶ ἐν εὐθηνίᾳ οἴνου ἐσπατάλων αὐτὴ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς τοῦτο ὑπῆρχεν αὐτῇ καὶ ταῖς θυγατράσιν αὐτῆς καὶ χεῖρα πτωχοῦ καὶ πένητος οὐκ ἀντελαμβάνοντο
Ecce haec fuit iniquitas Sodomae sororis tuae : superbia , saturitas panis et abundantia , et otium ipsius et filiarum ejus : et manum egeno et pauperi non porrigebant :
ዘእንበለ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ኃጢአታ ፡ ለሰዶም ፡ እኅትኪ ፡ ተዝኅረት ፡ ወከረያ ፡ ጽጋብ ፡ ወፈግዐት ፡ በጽጋብ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አዋልዲሃ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ ገብረት ፡ ይእቲኒ ፡ ወአዋልዲሃኒ ፣፡ ወኢተወክፋ ፡ እደ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ወምስኪን ።
“‘“Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters. She also didn’t strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
16:50 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽתִּגְבְּהֶ֔ינָה וַתַּעֲשֶׂ֥ינָה תוֹעֵבָ֖ה לְפָנָ֑י וָאָסִ֥יר אֶתְהֶ֖ן כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר רָאִֽיתִי ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐμεγαλαύχουν καὶ ἐποίησαν ἀνομήματα ἐνώπιόν μου καὶ ἐξῆρα αὐτάς καθὼς εἶδον
et elevatae sunt , et fecerunt abominationes coram me : et abstuli eas sicut vidisti .
ወአዕበዩ ፡ አፉሆሙ ፡ ወገብሩ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ በቅድሜየ ፣፡ ወአእተትክዎሙ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ርኢኩ ።
They were arrogant and committed abomination before me. Therefore I took them away when I saw it.
16:51 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן כַּחֲצִ֥י חַטֹּאתַ֖יִךְ לֹ֣א חָטָ֑אָה וַתַּרְבִּ֤י אֶת ־תּוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ מֵהֵ֔נָּה וַתְּצַדְּקִי֙ אֶת ־[אֲחוֹתַ֔יִךְ ] (אחותך ) בְּכׇל ־תּוֹעֲבֹתַ֖יִךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר (עשיתי ) [עָשִֽׂית ]׃
καὶ Σαμάρεια κατὰ τὰς ἡμίσεις τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν σου οὐχ ἥμαρτεν καὶ ἐπλήθυνας τὰς ἀνομίας σου ὑπὲρ αὐτὰς καὶ ἐδικαίωσας τὰς ἀδελφάς σου ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἀνομίαις σου αἷς ἐποίησας
Et Samaria dimidium peccatorum tuorum non peccavit : sed vicisti eas sceleribus tuis , et justificasti sorores tuas in omnibus abominationibus tuis quas operata es .
ወሰማርያ ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ኃጢአትኪ ፡ ኢአበሰት ፡ ወአፈድፈድኪ ፡ ኃጢአተኪ ፡ እምኔሆን ፡ ወአጽደቂዮን ፡ ለአኃትኪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ኃጢአትኪ ፡ ዘገበርኪ ።
Samaria hasn’t committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.
16:52 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּם ־אַ֣תְּ ׀ שְׂאִ֣י כְלִמָּתֵ֗ךְ אֲשֶׁ֤ר פִּלַּלְתְּ֙ לַאֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְ בְּחַטֹּאתַ֛יִךְ אֲשֶׁר ־הִתְעַ֥בְתְּ מֵהֵ֖ן תִּצְדַּ֣קְנָה מִמֵּ֑ךְ וְגַם ־אַ֥תְּ בּ֙וֹשִׁי֙ וּשְׂאִ֣י כְלִמָּתֵ֔ךְ בְּצַדֶּקְתֵּ֖ךְ אַחְיוֹתֵֽךְ ׃
καὶ σὺ κόμισαι βάσανόν σου ἐν ᾗ ἔφθειρας τὰς ἀδελφάς σου ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις σου αἷς ἠνόμησας ὑπὲρ αὐτὰς καὶ ἐδικαίωσας αὐτὰς ὑπὲρ σεαυτήν καὶ σὺ αἰσχύνθητι καὶ λαβὲ τὴν ἀτιμίαν σου ἐν τῷ δικαιῶσαί σε τὰς ἀδελφάς σου
Ergo et tu porta confusionem tuam , quae vicisti sorores tuas peccatis tuis , sceleratius agens ab eis : justificatae sunt enim a te : ergo et tu confundere , et porta ignominiam tuam , quae justificasti sorores tuas .
ወአንቲ ፡ ትትፈደዪ ፡ ሞተኪ ፡ በዘመራዕኪዮን ፡ ለአኃትኪ ፡ በኃጢአትኪ ፡ ዘአበስኪ ፡ ፈድፋደ ፡ እምኔሆን ፡ ወአጽደቂዮን ፡ እምኔኪ ። ወአንቲ ፡ ተኀፍሪ ፡ ወንሥኢ ፡ ኃሣረኪ ፡ እስመ ፡ አጽደቂዮን ፡ ለአኃትኪ ።
You also bear your own shame yourself, in that you have given judgment for your sisters; through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous than you. Yes, be also confounded, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.
16:53 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשַׁבְתִּי֙ אֶת ־שְׁבִ֣יתְהֶ֔ן אֶת ־[שְׁב֤וּת ] (שבית ) סְדֹם֙ וּבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ וְאֶת ־[שְׁב֥וּת ] (שבית ) שֹׁמְר֖וֹן וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ (ושבית ) [וּשְׁב֥וּת ] שְׁבִיתַ֖יִךְ בְּתוֹכָֽהְנָה ׃
καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὰς ἀποστροφὰς αὐτῶν τὴν ἀποστροφὴν Σοδομων καὶ τῶν θυγατέρων αὐτῆς καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὴν ἀποστροφὴν Σαμαρείας καὶ τῶν θυγατέρων αὐτῆς καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὴν ἀποστροφήν σου ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν
Et convertam restituens eas conversione Sodomorum cum filiabus suis , et conversione Samariae et filiarum ejus , et convertam reversionem tuam in medio earum ,
ወእመይጥ ፡ እከዮን ፣፡ እከየ ፡ ሰዶም ፡ ወአዋልዲሃ ። ወእመይጥ ፡ እከየ ፡ ሰማርያ ፡ ወአዋልዲሃ ፣፡ ወእመይጥ ፡ እከየኪ ፡ እማእከሎን ።
“‘“I will reverse their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of your captives among them;
16:54 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְמַ֙עַן֙ תִּשְׂאִ֣י כְלִמָּתֵ֔ךְ וְנִכְלַ֕מְתְּ מִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑ית בְּנַחֲמֵ֖ךְ אֹתָֽן ׃
ὅπως κομίσῃ τὴν βάσανόν σου καὶ ἀτιμωθήσῃ ἐκ πάντων ὧν ἐποίησας ἐν τῷ σε παροργίσαι με
ut portes ignominiam tuam , et confundaris in omnibus quae fecisti consolans eas .
ከመ ፡ ትትፈደዪ ፡ መቅሠፍተኪ ፡ ወተኀሥሪ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምግባርኪ ፡ ዘአምዐዕክኒ ።
that you may bear your own shame, and may be ashamed because of all that you have done, in that you are a comfort to them.
16:55 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲחוֹתַ֗יִךְ סְדֹ֤ם וּבְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ תָּשֹׁ֣בְןָ לְקַדְמָתָ֔ן וְשֹֽׁמְרוֹן֙ וּבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ תָּשֹׁ֖בְןָ לְקַדְמָתָ֑ן וְאַתְּ֙ וּבְנוֹתַ֔יִךְ תְּשֻׁבֶ֖ינָה לְקַדְמַתְכֶֽן ׃
καὶ ἡ ἀδελφή σου Σοδομα καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς ἀποκατασταθήσονται καθὼς ἦσαν ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς καὶ Σαμάρεια καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς ἀποκατασταθήσονται καθὼς ἦσαν ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς καὶ σὺ καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἀποκατασταθήσεσθε καθὼς ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς ἦτε
Et soror tua Sodoma et filiae ejus revertentur ad antiquitatem suam , et Samaria et filiae ejus revertentur ad antiquitatem suam , et tu et filiae tuae revertemini ad antiquitatem vestram .
ወአኃትኪኒ ፡ ሰዶም ፡ ወአዋልዲሃኒ ፡ ይገብኣ ፡ ከመ ፡ ቀዲሙ ፡ ወሰማርያ ፡ ወአዋልዲሃ ፡ ወአንቲኒ ፡ ወአዋልድኪኒ ፡ ትገብኣ ፡ ከመ ፡ ቀዲሙ ።
Your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, will return to their former estate; and Samaria and her daughters will return to their former estate; and you and your daughters will return to your former estate.
16:56 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְל֤וֹא הָֽיְתָה֙ סְדֹ֣ם אֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְ לִשְׁמוּעָ֖ה בְּפִ֑יךְ בְּי֖וֹם גְּאוֹנָֽיִךְ ׃
καὶ εἰ μὴ ἦν Σοδομα ἡ ἀδελφή σου εἰς ἀκοὴν ἐν τῷ στόματί σου ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ὑπερηφανίας σου
Non fuit autem Sodoma soror tua audita in ore tuo in die superbiae tuae ,
እስመ ፡ ሰዶም ፡ እኅጥኪ ፡ ሰምዐት ፡ እምአፉኪ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ትዝኅርትኪ ።
For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride,
16:57 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּטֶ֘רֶם֮ תִּגָּלֶ֣ה רָעָתֵךְ֒ כְּמ֗וֹ עֵ֚ת חֶרְפַּ֣ת בְּנוֹת ־אֲרָ֔ם וְכׇל ־סְבִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָ בְּנ֣וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים הַשָּׁאט֥וֹת אוֹתָ֖ךְ מִסָּבִֽיב ׃
πρὸ τοῦ ἀποκαλυφθῆναι τὰς κακίας σου ὃν τρόπον νῦν ὄνειδος εἶ θυγατέρων Συρίας καὶ πάντων τῶν κύκλῳ αὐτῆς θυγατέρων ἀλλοφύλων τῶν περιεχουσῶν σε κύκλῳ
antequam revelaretur malitia tua , sicut hoc tempore in opprobrium filiarum Syriae , et cunctarum in circuitu tuo filiarum Palaestinarum quae ambiunt te per gyrum .
ዘእንበለ ፡ ይትከሠት ፡ እከይኪ ፡ በከመ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ጽዕልተ ፡ ኮንኪ ፡ ለአዋልደ ፡ ሶርያ ፡ ወለኵሎን ፡ እለ ፡ ዐውዳ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ኢሎፍሊ ፡ እለ ፡ ዐገታኪ ፡ ዐውደኪ ።
before your wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all who are around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise you all around.
16:58 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶת ־זִמָּתֵ֥ךְ וְאֶת ־תּוֹעֲבוֹתַ֖יִךְ אַ֣תְּ נְשָׂאתִ֑ים נְאֻ֖ם יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
τὰς ἀσεβείας σου καὶ τὰς ἀνομίας σου σὺ κεκόμισαι αὐτάς λέγει κύριος
Scelus tuum et ignominiam tuam tu portasti , ait Dominus Deus .
በኃጢአትኪ ፡ ወበጌጋይኪ ፡ በዘአንቲ ፡ መሀርኪዮን ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
You have borne your lewdness and your abominations,” says Yahweh.
16:59 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה (ועשית ) [וְעָשִׂ֥יתִי ] אוֹתָ֖ךְ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑ית אֲשֶׁר ־בָּזִ֥ית אָלָ֖ה לְהָפֵ֥ר בְּרִֽית ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος καὶ ποιήσω ἐν σοὶ καθὼς ἐποίησας ὡς ἠτίμωσας ταῦτα τοῦ παραβῆναι τὴν διαθήκην μου
Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus : Et faciam tibi sicut despexisti juramentum , ut irritum faceres pactum :
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፣፡ ወእገብር ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ በከመ ፡ ገበርኪ ፡ ወዐሎኪ ፡ ሥርዓትየ ።
“‘For the Lord Yahweh says: “I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
16:60 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְזָכַרְתִּ֨י אֲנִ֧י אֶת ־בְּרִיתִ֛י אוֹתָ֖ךְ בִּימֵ֣י נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ וַהֲקִימוֹתִ֥י לָ֖ךְ בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ μνησθήσομαι ἐγὼ τῆς διαθήκης μου τῆς μετὰ σοῦ ἐν ἡμέραις νηπιότητός σου καὶ ἀναστήσω σοι διαθήκην αἰώνιον
et recordabor ego pacti mei tecum in diebus adolescentiae tuae , et suscitabo tibi pactum sempiternum .
ወእዜከር ፡ አነ ፡ ኪዳንየ ፡ ዘምስሌኪ ፡ ዘአመ ፡ ንእስኪ ፡ ወአቀውም ፡ ለኪ ፡ ኪዳነ ፡ ዘለዓለም ።
Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.
16:61 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְזָכַ֣רְתְּ אֶת ־דְּרָכַ֘יִךְ֮ וְנִכְלַמְתְּ֒ בְּקַחְתֵּ֗ךְ אֶת ־אֲחוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ הַגְּדֹל֣וֹת מִמֵּ֔ךְ אֶל ־הַקְּטַנּ֖וֹת מִמֵּ֑ךְ וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֶתְהֶ֥ן לָ֛ךְ לְבָנ֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א מִבְּרִיתֵֽךְ ׃
καὶ μνησθήσῃ τὴν ὁδόν σου καὶ ἐξατιμωθήσῃ ἐν τῷ ἀναλαβεῖν σε τὰς ἀδελφάς σου τὰς πρεσβυτέρας σου σὺν ταῖς νεωτέραις σου καὶ δώσω αὐτάς σοι εἰς οἰκοδομὴν καὶ οὐκ ἐκ διαθήκης σου
Et recordaberis viarum tuarum , et confunderis , cum receperis sorores tuas te majores cum minoribus tuis : et dabo eas tibi in filias , sed non ex pacto tuo .
ወትዜከሪ ፡ ፍኖተኪ ፡ ወተኀሥሪ ፡ እስመ ፡ አሕየስኪዮን ፡ ለአኃትኪ ፡ እለ ፡ ይልህቃኪ ፡ ወእለሂ ፡ ይንእሳኪ ፡ ወረሰይኪዮን ፡ አዋልደኪ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሥርዓትኪ ።
Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger; and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.
16:62 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַהֲקִימֹתִ֥י אֲנִ֛י אֶת ־בְּרִיתִ֖י אִתָּ֑ךְ וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ כִּֽי ־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ἀναστήσω ἐγὼ τὴν διαθήκην μου μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ἐπιγνώσῃ ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος
Et suscitabo ego pactum meum tecum , et scies quia ego Dominus :
ወአቀውም ፡ አነ ፡ ኪዳንየ ፡ ምስሌኪ ፡ ወተአምሪ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
I will establish my covenant with you. Then you will know that I am Yahweh;
16:63 ⧉ ⤴︎ לְמַ֤עַן תִּזְכְּרִי֙ וָבֹ֔שְׁתְּ וְלֹ֨א יִֽהְיֶה ־לָּ֥ךְ עוֹד֙ פִּתְח֣וֹן פֶּ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י כְּלִמָּתֵ֑ךְ בְּכַפְּרִי ־לָךְ֙ לְכׇל ־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔ית נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃ {פ}
ὅπως μνησθῇς καὶ αἰσχυνθῇς καὶ μὴ ᾖ σοι ἔτι ἀνοῖξαι τὸ στόμα σου ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς ἀτιμίας σου ἐν τῷ ἐξιλάσκεσθαί μέ σοι κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησας λέγει κύριος
ut recorderis , et confundaris , et non sit tibi ultra aperire os prae confusione tua , cum placatus tibi fuero in omnibus quae fecisti , ait Dominus Deus .
ወትዜከሪ ፡ ወትትኀፈሪ ፣፡ ወኢትከሥቲ ፡ እንከ ፡ አፊኪ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ኃሣርኪ ፡ አመ ፡ አኅደጉኪ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ምግባረኪ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
that you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done,” says the Lord Yahweh.’”
