11:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֗ה ע֣וֹד נֶ֤גַע אֶחָד֙ אָבִ֤יא עַל ־פַּרְעֹה֙ וְעַל ־מִצְרַ֔יִם אַֽחֲרֵי ־כֵ֕ן יְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּ֑ה כְּשַׁ֨לְּח֔וֹ כָּלָ֕ה גָּרֵ֛שׁ יְגָרֵ֥שׁ אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּֽה ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἔτι μίαν πληγὴν ἐπάξω ἐπὶ Φαραω καὶ ἐπ’ Αἴγυπτον καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐξαποστελεῖ ὑμᾶς ἐντεῦθεν ὅταν δὲ ἐξαποστέλλῃ ὑμᾶς σὺν παντὶ ἐκβαλεῖ ὑμᾶς ἐκβολῇ
Et dixit Dominus ad Moysen : Adhuc una plaga tangam Pharaonem et Aegyptum , et post haec dimittet vos , et exire compellet .
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ አሐተ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ አመጽእ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወዲበ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወእምድኅረዝ ፡ ይፌንወክሙ ፡ እምዝየ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ይፌንወክሙ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ፀአ [ተ ] ፡ ያወፅአክሙ ።
Yahweh said to Moses, “I will bring yet one more plague on Pharaoh, and on Egypt; afterwards he will let you go. When he lets you go, he will surely thrust you out altogether.
11:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ דַּבֶּר ־נָ֖א בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וְיִשְׁאֲל֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ ׀ מֵאֵ֣ת רֵעֵ֗הוּ וְאִשָּׁה֙ מֵאֵ֣ת רְעוּתָ֔הּ כְּלֵי ־כֶ֖סֶף וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָֽב ׃
λάλησον οὖν κρυφῇ εἰς τὰ ὦτα τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ αἰτησάτω ἕκαστος παρὰ τοῦ πλησίον καὶ γυνὴ παρὰ τῆς πλησίον σκεύη ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ καὶ ἱματισμόν
Dices ergo omni plebi ut postulet vir ab amico suo , et mulier a vicina sua , vasa argentea et aurea .
ወንግሮሙ ፡ ጽምሚተ ፡ በእዝኖሙ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወያስተውሕስ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምካልኡ ፡ ወብእሲት ፡ እምካልእታ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ወወርቅ ፡ ወልብ [ስ ] ።
Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man ask of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.”
11:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּתֵּ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־חֵ֥ן הָעָ֖ם בְּעֵינֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם גַּ֣ם ׀ הָאִ֣ישׁ מֹשֶׁ֗ה גָּד֤וֹל מְאֹד֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּעֵינֵ֥י עַבְדֵֽי ־פַרְעֹ֖ה וּבְעֵינֵ֥י הָעָֽם ׃ {ס}
κύριος δὲ ἔδωκεν τὴν χάριν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἔχρησαν αὐτοῖς καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος Μωυσῆς μέγας ἐγενήθη σφόδρα ἐναντίον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ
Dabit autem Dominus gratiam populo suo coram Aegyptiis . Fuitque Moyses vir magnus valde in terra Aegypti coram servis Pharaonis et omni populo .
ወወሀቦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአውሐስዎሙ ፡ ወዝ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወቅድመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወቅድመ ፡ ዐበይቱ ።
Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
11:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה כַּחֲצֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה אֲנִ֥י יוֹצֵ֖א בְּת֥וֹךְ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς τάδε λέγει κύριος περὶ μέσας νύκτας ἐγὼ εἰσπορεύομαι εἰς μέσον Αἰγύπτου
Et ait : Haec dicit Dominus : Media nocte egrediar in Aegyptum :
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መንፈቀ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ እበውእ ፡ አነ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Moses said, “This is what Yahweh says: ‘About midnight I will go out into the middle of Egypt,
11:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמֵ֣ת כׇּל ־בְּכוֹר֮ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ מִבְּכ֤וֹר פַּרְעֹה֙ הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב עַל ־כִּסְא֔וֹ עַ֚ד בְּכ֣וֹר הַשִּׁפְחָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר אַחַ֣ר הָרֵחָ֑יִם וְכֹ֖ל בְּכ֥וֹר בְּהֵמָֽה ׃
καὶ τελευτήσει πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἀπὸ πρωτοτόκου Φαραω ὃς κάθηται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου καὶ ἕως πρωτοτόκου τῆς θεραπαίνης τῆς παρὰ τὸν μύλον καὶ ἕως πρωτοτόκου παντὸς κτήνους
et morietur omne primogenitum in terra Aegyptiorum , a primogenito Pharaonis , qui sedet in solio ejus , usque ad primogenitum ancillae quae est ad molam , et omnia primogenita jumentorum .
ወይመውት ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በኵር ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምበኵረ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ውስተ ፡ መንበረ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ እስከ ፡ በኵረ ፡ አመት ፡ እንተ ፡ ትነብር ፡ ዲበ ፡ ማኅረፅ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በኵረ ፡ እንስሳ ።
and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the mill, and all the firstborn of livestock.
11:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָ֥יְתָ֛ה צְעָקָ֥ה גְדֹלָ֖ה בְּכׇל ־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּמֹ֙הוּ֙ לֹ֣א נִהְיָ֔תָה וְכָמֹ֖הוּ לֹ֥א תֹסִֽף ׃
καὶ ἔσται κραυγὴ μεγάλη κατὰ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου ἥτις τοιαύτη οὐ γέγονεν καὶ τοιαύτη οὐκέτι προστεθήσεται
Eritque clamor magnus in universa terra Aegypti , qualis nec ante fuit , nec postea futurus est .
ወይከውን ፡ ጽራኅ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ዘከማሁ ፡ ኢኮነ ፡ ወኢይከውን ፡ እንከ ፡ ዘከማሁ ።
There will be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has not been, nor will be any more.
11:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּלְכֹ֣ל ׀ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לֹ֤א יֶֽחֱרַץ ־כֶּ֙לֶב֙ לְשֹׁנ֔וֹ לְמֵאִ֖ישׁ וְעַד ־בְּהֵמָ֑ה לְמַ֙עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן אֲשֶׁר֙ יַפְלֶ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה בֵּ֥ין מִצְרַ֖יִם וּבֵ֥ין יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ οὐ γρύξει κύων τῇ γλώσσῃ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους ὅπως εἰδῇς ὅσα παραδοξάσει κύριος ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ τοῦ Ισραηλ
Apud omnes autem filios Israël non mutiet canis ab homine usque ad pecus : ut sciatis quanto miraculo dividat Dominus Aegyptios et Israël .
ወለኵሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ከልብ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ኢይልሕሶሙ ፡ በልሳኑ ፡ እምሰብኡ ፡ እስከ ፡ እንስሳሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምር ፡ መጠነ ፡ ይሴባሕ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ እስራኤል ።
But against any of the children of Israel a dog won’t even bark or move its tongue, against man or animal, that you may know that Yahweh makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.
11:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָרְד֣וּ כׇל ־עֲבָדֶ֩יךָ֩ אֵ֨לֶּה אֵלַ֜י וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲווּ ־לִ֣י לֵאמֹ֗ר צֵ֤א אַתָּה֙ וְכׇל ־הָעָ֣ם אֲשֶׁר ־בְּרַגְלֶ֔יךָ וְאַחֲרֵי ־כֵ֖ן אֵצֵ֑א וַיֵּצֵ֥א מֵֽעִם ־פַּרְעֹ֖ה בׇּחֳרִי ־אָֽף ׃ {ס}
καὶ καταβήσονται πάντες οἱ παῖδές σου οὗτοι πρός με καὶ προκυνήσουσίν με λέγοντες ἔξελθε σὺ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαός σου οὗ σὺ ἀφηγῇ καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐξελεύσομαι ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Μωυσῆς ἀπὸ Φαραω μετὰ θυμοῦ
Descendentque omnes servi tui isti ad me , et adorabunt me , dicentes : Egredere tu , et omnis populus qui subjectus est tibi : post haec egrediemur .
ወይወርዱ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እሉ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወይሰግዱ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወይብሉኒ ፡ ፃእ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወሕዝብከ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ እምዛ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወእምድኅረዝ ፡ እወጽእ ፡ ወወፅአ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ በመዐት ።
All these servants of yours will come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, “Get out, with all the people who follow you;” and after that I will go out.’” He went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
11:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֔ה לֹא ־יִשְׁמַ֥ע אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה לְמַ֛עַן רְב֥וֹת מוֹפְתַ֖י בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν οὐκ εἰσακούσεται ὑμῶν Φαραω ἵνα πληθύνων πληθύνω μου τὰ σημεῖα καὶ τὰ τέρατα ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ
Et exivit a Pharaone iratus nimis . Dixit autem Dominus ad Moysen : Non audiet vos Pharao ut multa signa fiant in terra Aegypti .
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ኢይሰምዐክሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ከመ ፡ አብዝኅ ፡ ተአምርየ ፡ ወመድምምየ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Yahweh said to Moses, “Pharaoh won’t listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
11:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאַהֲרֹ֗ן עָשׂ֛וּ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַמֹּפְתִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת ־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְלֹֽא ־שִׁלַּ֥ח אֶת ־בְּנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאַרְצֽוֹ ׃ {ס}
Μωυσῆς δὲ καὶ Ααρων ἐποίησαν πάντα τὰ σημεῖα καὶ τὰ τέρατα ταῦτα ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ ἐναντίον Φαραω ἐσκλήρυνεν δὲ κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν ἐξαποστεῖλαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Moyses autem et Aaron fecerunt omnia ostenta , quae scripta sunt , coram Pharaone . Et induravit Dominus cor Pharaonis , nec dimisit filios Israël de terra sua .
ወሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ገብሩ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መድምመ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወአጽንዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልቦ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወአበየ ፡ ፈንዎቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go out of his land.
