24:1
כִּֽי־יִקַּ֥ח אִ֛ישׁ אִשָּׁ֖ה וּבְעָלָ֑הּ וְהָיָ֞ה אִם־לֹ֧א תִמְצָא־חֵ֣ן בְּעֵינָ֗יו כִּי־מָ֤צָא בָהּ֙ עֶרְוַ֣ת דָּבָ֔ר וְכָ֨תַב לָ֜הּ סֵ֤פֶר כְּרִיתֻת֙ וְנָתַ֣ן בְּיָדָ֔הּ וְשִׁלְּחָ֖הּ מִבֵּיתֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν δέ τις λάβῃ γυναῖκα καὶ συνοικήσῃ αὐτῇ καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν μὴ εὕρῃ χάριν ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ὅτι εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ ἄσχημον πρᾶγμα καὶ γράψει αὐτῇ βιβλίον ἀποστασίου καὶ δώσει εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ αὐτὴν ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ
Si acceperit homo uxorem, et habuerit eam, et non invenerit gratiam ante oculos ejus propter aliquam foeditatem : scribet libellum repudii, et dabit in manu illius, et dimittet eam de domo sua.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘነሥአ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ወነበረ ፡ ምስሌሃ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ኢረከበት ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ በኀቤሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ረከበ ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ ኀፍረተ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ይጽሐፍ ፡ ላቲ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ኅድጋቲሃ ፡ ወይመጥዋ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊሃ ፡ ወያወጽኣ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤቱ ።
When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
24:2
וְיָצְאָ֖ה מִבֵּית֑וֹ וְהָלְכָ֖ה וְהָיְתָ֥ה לְאִישׁ־אַחֵֽר׃
καὶ ἀπελθοῦσα γένηται ἀνδρὶ ἑτέρῳ
Cumque egressa alterum maritum duxerit,
ወሖረት ፡ ወአውሰበት ፡ ካልአ ፡ ብእሴ ።
When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
24:3
וּשְׂנֵאָהּ֮ הָאִ֣ישׁ הָאַחֲרוֹן֒ וְכָ֨תַב לָ֜הּ סֵ֤פֶר כְּרִיתֻת֙ וְנָתַ֣ן בְּיָדָ֔הּ וְשִׁלְּחָ֖הּ מִבֵּית֑וֹ א֣וֹ כִ֤י יָמוּת֙ הָאִ֣ישׁ הָאַחֲר֔וֹן אֲשֶׁר־לְקָחָ֥הּ ל֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃
καὶ μισήσῃ αὐτὴν ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ἔσχατος καὶ γράψει αὐτῇ βιβλίον ἀποστασίου καὶ δώσει εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ αὐτὴν ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ ἢ ἀποθάνῃ ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ἔσχατος ὃς ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα
et ille quoque oderit eam, dederitque ei libellum repudii, et dimiserit de domo sua, vel certe mortuus fuerit :
ወእምዝ ፡ ጸልኣ ፡ ውእቱኒ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ደኃሪ ፡ ወጸሐፈ ፡ ላቲ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ኅድጋቲሃ ፡ ወመጠዋ ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደዊሃ ፡ ወያወፅኣ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ወለእመኒ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ደኃሪ ፡ ዘነሥአ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ብእሲተ ፤
If the latter husband hates her, and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;
24:4
לֹא־יוּכַ֣ל בַּעְלָ֣הּ הָרִאשׁ֣וֹן אֲשֶֽׁר־שִׁ֠לְּחָ֠הּ לָשׁ֨וּב לְקַחְתָּ֜הּ לִהְי֧וֹת ל֣וֹ לְאִשָּׁ֗ה אַחֲרֵי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֻטַּמָּ֔אָה כִּֽי־תוֹעֵבָ֥ה הִ֖וא לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְלֹ֤א תַחֲטִיא֙ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לְךָ֖ נַחֲלָֽה׃ {ס}
οὐ δυνήσεται ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ πρότερος ὁ ἐξαποστείλας αὐτὴν ἐπαναστρέψας λαβεῖν αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα μετὰ τὸ μιανθῆναι αὐτήν ὅτι βδέλυγμά ἐστιν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ οὐ μιανεῖτε τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν ἐν κλήρῳ
non poterit prior maritus recipere eam in uxorem : quia polluta est, et abominabilis facta est coram Domino : ne peccare facias terram tuam, quam Dominus Deus tuus tradiderit tibi possidendam.
ኢይከውኖ ፡ ለዝክቱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ቀዳማዊ ፡ ዘአውፅኣ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይግባእ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ወይንሥኣ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ትኩኖ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ረኵሰት ፡ እስመ ፡ ርኩስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ነገር ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወኢታርኵሱ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ ይሁበክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ መክፈልተክሙ ።
her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife after she is defiled; for that would be an abomination to Yahweh. You shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.
24:5
כִּֽי־יִקַּ֥ח אִישׁ֙ אִשָּׁ֣ה חֲדָשָׁ֔ה לֹ֤א יֵצֵא֙ בַּצָּבָ֔א וְלֹא־יַעֲבֹ֥ר עָלָ֖יו לְכׇל־דָּבָ֑ר נָקִ֞י יִהְיֶ֤ה לְבֵיתוֹ֙ שָׁנָ֣ה אֶחָ֔ת וְשִׂמַּ֖ח אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־לָקָֽח׃
ἐὰν δέ τις λάβῃ γυναῖκα προσφάτως οὐκ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς τὸν πόλεμον καὶ οὐκ ἐπιβληθήσεται αὐτῷ οὐδὲν πρᾶγμα ἀθῷος ἔσται ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα εὐφρανεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ ἣν ἔλαβεν
Cum acceperit homo nuper uxorem, non procedet ad bellum, nec ei quippiam necessitatis injungetur publicae, sed vacabit absque culpa domi suae, ut uno anno laetetur cum uxore sua.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘነሥአ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ኢይወፅእ ፡ ፀብአ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ምንተኒ ፡ ዘያቀትውዎ ፡ ድኁን ፡ ውእቱ ፡ [ውስተ ፡] ቤቱ ፡ አሐተ ፡ ዓመተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይት[ፈ]ሣሕ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ብእሲቱ ፡ እንተ ፡ አውሰበ ።
When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
24:6
לֹא־יַחֲבֹ֥ל רֵחַ֖יִם וָרָ֑כֶב כִּי־נֶ֖פֶשׁ ה֥וּא חֹבֵֽל׃ {ס}
οὐκ ἐνεχυράσεις μύλον οὐδὲ ἐπιμύλιον ὅτι ψυχὴν οὗτος ἐνεχυράζει
Non accipies loco pignoris inferiorem, et superiorem molam : quia animam suam opposuit tibi.
ወኢትትአኀዘ ፡ ማሕረፀ ፡ ወኢመድሔ ፡ ማሕረፅ ፡ እስመ ፡ መብዐለ ፡ ነፍስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወኢይትአኀዝዎ ።
No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone as a pledge, for he takes a life in pledge.
24:7
כִּי־יִמָּצֵ֣א אִ֗ישׁ גֹּנֵ֨ב נֶ֤פֶשׁ מֵאֶחָיו֙ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהִתְעַמֶּר־בּ֖וֹ וּמְכָר֑וֹ וּמֵת֙ הַגַּנָּ֣ב הַה֔וּא וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ἁλῷ ἄνθρωπος κλέπτων ψυχὴν τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ καταδυναστεύσας αὐτὸν ἀποδῶται ἀποθανεῖται ὁ κλέπτης ἐκεῖνος καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν
Si deprehensus fuerit homo sollicitans fratrem suum de filiis Israël, et vendito eo acceperit pretium, interficietur, et auferes malum de medio tui.
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘ[ተረክ]በ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘሰረቀ ፡ ነፍሰ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አኀዊሁ ፡ እምነ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወተአገሎ ፡ ወሤጦ ፡ ለይቅትልዎ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ሰራቂ ፡ ወታሴስሉ ፡ እኩየ ፡ እምውስቴትክሙ ።
If a man is found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deals with him as a slave, or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
24:8
הִשָּׁ֧מֶר בְּנֶֽגַע־הַצָּרַ֛עַת לִשְׁמֹ֥ר מְאֹ֖ד וְלַעֲשׂ֑וֹת כְּכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁר־יוֹר֨וּ אֶתְכֶ֜ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים הַלְוִיִּ֛ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתִ֖ם תִּשְׁמְר֥וּ לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ ἐν τῇ ἁφῇ τῆς λέπρας φυλάξῃ σφόδρα ποιεῖν κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον ὃν ἐὰν ἀναγγείλωσιν ὑμῖν οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται ὃν τρόπον ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν φυλάξασθε ποιεῖν
Observa diligenter ne incurras plagam leprae, sed facies quaecumque docuerint te sacerdotes Levitici generis, juxta id quod praecepi eis, et imple sollicite.
ወዑቅ ፡ ርእሰከ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ትእምርተ ፡ ለምጽ ፡ ተዓቀብ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሕገ ፡ ዘይቤሉክሙ ፡ ካህናት ፡ ወሌዋውያን ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዝኩክሙ ፡ ተዓቀቡ ፡ ዘትገብሩ ።
Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you. As I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
24:9
זָכ֕וֹר אֵ֧ת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֛ה יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לְמִרְיָ֑ם בַּדֶּ֖רֶךְ בְּצֵאתְכֶ֥ם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ {ס}
μνήσθητι ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου τῇ Μαριαμ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκπορευομένων ὑμῶν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου
Mementote quae fecerit Dominus Deus vester Mariae in via cum egrederemini de Aegypto.
ወተዘከር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ማርያ ፡ በፍኖት ፡ ወፂአክሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came out of Egypt.
24:10
כִּֽי־תַשֶּׁ֥ה בְרֵֽעֲךָ֖ מַשַּׁ֣את מְא֑וּמָה לֹא־תָבֹ֥א אֶל־בֵּית֖וֹ לַעֲבֹ֥ט עֲבֹטֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν ὀφείλημα ᾖ ἐν τῷ πλησίον σου ὀφείλημα ὁτιοῦν οὐκ εἰσελεύσῃ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ ἐνεχυράσαι τὸ ἐνέχυρον
Cum repetes a proximo tuo rem aliquam, quam debet tibi, non ingredieris domum ejus ut pignus auferas :
ወለእመቦ ፡ ዘይፈድየከ ፡ ካልእከ ፡ ዕደ ፡ ዘኮነ ፡ ኢትበውእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቱ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትአኀዝ ፡ አኅዘከ ።
When you lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.
24:11
בַּח֖וּץ תַּעֲמֹ֑ד וְהָאִ֗ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ נֹשֶׁ֣ה ב֔וֹ יוֹצִ֥יא אֵלֶ֛יךָ אֶֽת־הַעֲב֖וֹט הַחֽוּצָה׃
ἔξω στήσῃ καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗ τὸ δάνειόν σού ἐστιν ἐν αὐτῷ ἐξοίσει σοι τὸ ἐνέχυρον ἔξω
sed stabis foris, et ille tibi proferet quod habuerit.
አፍአ ፡ ትቀውም ፡ ወብእሴ ፡ ዕዳከ ፡ ዝክቱ ፡ ዘይፈድየከ ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ያወፅእ ፡ አኅዘከ ፡ አፍአ ፡ ኀቤከ ።
You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge outside to you.
24:12
וְאִם־אִ֥ישׁ עָנִ֖י ה֑וּא לֹ֥א תִשְׁכַּ֖ב בַּעֲבֹטֽוֹ׃
ἐὰν δὲ ὁ ἄνθρωπος πένηται οὐ κοιμηθήσῃ ἐν τῷ ἐνεχύρῳ αὐτοῦ
Sin autem pauper est, non pernoctabit apud te pignus,
ወለእመ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኢታበይት ፡ አኅዞ ፡ ኀቤከ ።
If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.
24:13
הָשֵׁב֩ תָּשִׁ֨יב ל֤וֹ אֶֽת־הַעֲבוֹט֙ כְּב֣וֹא הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וְשָׁכַ֥ב בְּשַׂלְמָת֖וֹ וּבֵֽרְכֶ֑ךָּ וּלְךָ֙ תִּהְיֶ֣ה צְדָקָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ {ס}
ἀποδόσει ἀποδώσεις τὸ ἐνέχυρον αὐτοῦ περὶ δυσμὰς ἡλίου καὶ κοιμηθήσεται ἐν τῷ ἱματίῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ εὐλογήσει σε καὶ ἔσται σοι ἐλεημοσύνη ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου
sed statim reddes ei ante solis occasum : ut dormiens in vestimento suo, benedicat tibi, et habeas justitiam coram Domino Deo tuo.
ታገብእ ፡ ሎት ፡ አኅዞ ፡ ዐሪቦ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ወይበይት ፡ በልብሱ ፡ ወትትባረክ ፡ ወይከውነከ ፡ ምጽዋተ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
You shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment and bless you. It shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.
24:14
לֹא־תַעֲשֹׁ֥ק שָׂכִ֖יר עָנִ֣י וְאֶבְי֑וֹן מֵאַחֶ֕יךָ א֧וֹ מִגֵּרְךָ֛ אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּאַרְצְךָ֖ בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃
οὐκ ἀπαδικήσεις μισθὸν πένητος καὶ ἐνδεοῦς ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν σου ἢ ἐκ τῶν προσηλύτων τῶν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου
Non negabis mercedem indigentis, et pauperis fratris tui, sive advenae, qui tecum moratur in terra, et intra portas tuas est :
ወኢተዐምፆ ፡ ዐስቦ ፡ ለዐሳብከ ፡ ለነዳይ ፡ ዘኅጡእ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ አኀዊከ ፡ አው ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ግዩራን ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገርከ ።
You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.
24:15
בְּיוֹמוֹ֩ תִתֵּ֨ן שְׂכָר֜וֹ וְֽלֹא־תָב֧וֹא עָלָ֣יו הַשֶּׁ֗מֶשׁ כִּ֤י עָנִי֙ ה֔וּא וְאֵלָ֕יו ה֥וּא נֹשֵׂ֖א אֶת־נַפְשׁ֑וֹ וְלֹֽא־יִקְרָ֤א עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה וְהָיָ֥ה בְךָ֖ חֵֽטְא׃ {ס}
αὐθημερὸν ἀποδώσεις τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐπιδύσεται ὁ ἥλιος ἐπ’ αὐτῷ ὅτι πένης ἐστὶν καὶ ἐν αὐτῷ ἔχει τὴν ἐλπίδα καὶ οὐ καταβοήσεται κατὰ σοῦ πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ ἁμαρτία
sed eadem die reddes ei pretium laboris sui ante solis occasum, quia pauper est, et ex eo sustentat animam suam : ne clamet contra te ad Dominum, et reputetur tibi in peccatum.
እንተ ፡ ጸብሐት ፡ ትሁቦ ፡ ዐስቦ ፡ ወኢታዐርብ ፡ ፀሐየ ፡ ላዕሌሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ ተስፋሁ ፡ ወአይግዕር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወኢይኩንከ ፡ ኀጢአተ ።
In his day you shall give him his wages, neither shall the sun go down on it, for he is poor and sets his heart on it, lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.
24:16
לֹֽא־יוּמְת֤וּ אָבוֹת֙ עַל־בָּנִ֔ים וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא־יוּמְת֣וּ עַל־אָב֑וֹת אִ֥ישׁ בְּחֶטְא֖וֹ יוּמָֽתוּ׃ {ס}
οὐκ ἀποθανοῦνται πατέρες ὑπὲρ τέκνων καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἀποθανοῦνται ὑπὲρ πατέρων ἕκαστος τῇ ἑαυτοῦ ἁμαρτίᾳ ἀποθανεῖται
Non occidentur patres pro filiis, nec filii pro patribus, sed unusquisque pro peccato suo morietur.
ወኢይመውቱ ፡ ወላድያን ፡ በበይነ ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ወኢይመውቱ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ በበይነ ፡ ወላድያኒሆሙ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ በጌጋዩ ፡ ይመውት ።
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
24:17
לֹ֣א תַטֶּ֔ה מִשְׁפַּ֖ט גֵּ֣ר יָת֑וֹם וְלֹ֣א תַחֲבֹ֔ל בֶּ֖גֶד אַלְמָנָֽה׃
οὐκ ἐκκλινεῖς κρίσιν προσηλύτου καὶ ὀρφανοῦ καὶ χήρας καὶ οὐκ ἐνεχυράσεις ἱμάτιον χήρας
Non pervertes judicium advenae et pupilli, nec auferes pignoris loco viduae vestimentum.
ወኢትሚጥ ፡ ፍትሐ ፡ ግዩር ፡ ወዘእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወዘእቤር ።
You shall not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;
24:18
וְזָכַרְתָּ֗ כִּ֣י עֶ֤בֶד הָיִ֙יתָ֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֛ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מִשָּׁ֑ם עַל־כֵּ֞ן אָנֹכִ֤י מְצַוְּךָ֙ לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת אֶת־הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּֽה׃ {ס}
καὶ μνησθήσῃ ὅτι οἰκέτης ἦσθα ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἐλυτρώσατό σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐκεῖθεν διὰ τοῦτο ἐγώ σοι ἐντέλλομαι ποιεῖν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο
Memento quod servieris in Aegypto, et eruerit te Dominus Deus tuus inde. Idcirco praecipio tibi ut facias hanc rem.
ወተዘከር ፡ ከመ ፡ ገብር ፡ አንተ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወቤዘወከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ እምህየ ፡ ወበበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ አነ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገረ ።
but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there. Therefore I command you to do this thing.
24:19
כִּ֣י תִקְצֹר֩ קְצִֽירְךָ֨ בְשָׂדֶ֜ךָ וְשָֽׁכַחְתָּ֧ עֹ֣מֶר בַּשָּׂדֶ֗ה לֹ֤א תָשׁוּב֙ לְקַחְתּ֔וֹ לַגֵּ֛ר לַיָּת֥וֹם וְלָאַלְמָנָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֑ה לְמַ֤עַן יְבָרֶכְךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּכֹ֖ל מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדֶֽיךָ׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ ἀμήσῃς ἀμητὸν ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ σου καὶ ἐπιλάθῃ δράγμα ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ σου οὐκ ἐπαναστραφήσῃ λαβεῖν αὐτό τῷ πτωχῷ καὶ τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ὀρφανῷ καὶ τῇ χήρᾳ ἔσται ἵνα εὐλογήσῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν σου
Quando messueris segetem in agro tuo, et oblitus manipulum reliqueris, non reverteris, ut tollas illum : sed advenam, et pupillum, et viduam auferre patieris, ut benedicat tibi Dominus Deus tuus in omni opere manuum tuarum.
ወለእመ ፡ አኬድከ ፡ እክለ ፡ ገራህትከ ፡ ወረሳዕከ ፡ አሐተ ፡ ክልስስተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገራህትከ ፡ ኢትግባእ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትንሥኣ ፡ ለግዩር ፡ ወለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወለእቤር ፡ ይኩን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይባርከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ተግባረ ፡ እደዊከ ።
When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
24:20
כִּ֤י תַחְבֹּט֙ זֵֽיתְךָ֔ לֹ֥א תְפַאֵ֖ר אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ לַגֵּ֛ר לַיָּת֥וֹם וְלָאַלְמָנָ֖ה יִהְיֶֽה׃
ἐὰν δὲ ἐλαιαλογήσῃς οὐκ ἐπαναστρέψεις καλαμήσασθαι τὰ ὀπίσω σου τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ὀρφανῷ καὶ τῇ χήρᾳ ἔσται καὶ μνησθήσῃ ὅτι οἰκέτης ἦσθα ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ διὰ τοῦτο ἐγώ σοι ἐντέλλομαι ποιεῖν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο
Si fruges collegeris olivarum, quidquid remanserit in arboribus, non reverteris ut colligas : sed relinques advenae, pupillo, ac viduae.
ወለእመኒ ፡ ቀሠምከ ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይንከ ፡ ኢትድግም ፡ ተመይጦ ፡ ድኅሬከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታስተናጽሕ ፡ ቀሢመ ፤ ለግዩር ፡ ወለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወለእቤር ፡ ይኩን ፡ ወተዘከር ፡ ከመ ፡ ገብር ፡ አንተ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወበበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ አነ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገረ ።
When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
24:21
כִּ֤י תִבְצֹר֙ כַּרְמְךָ֔ לֹ֥א תְעוֹלֵ֖ל אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ לַגֵּ֛ר לַיָּת֥וֹם וְלָאַלְמָנָ֖ה יִהְיֶֽה׃
ἐὰν δὲ τρυγήσῃς τὸν ἀμπελῶνά σου οὐκ ἐπανατρυγήσεις αὐτὸν τὰ ὀπίσω σου τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ὀρφανῷ καὶ τῇ χήρᾳ ἔσται
Si vindemiaveris vineam tuam, non colliges remanentes racemos : sed cedent in usus advenae, pupilli, ac viduae.
ወለእመኒ ፡ ቀሠምከ ፡ ዘይተከ ፡ ኢትድግም ፡ ተመይጦ ፡ ድኅሬከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታስተናጽሕ ፡ ቀሢመ ፤ ለግዩር ፡ ወለእጓለ ፡ ማውታ ፡ ወለእቤር ፡ ይኩን ።
When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
24:22

ወተዘከር ፡ ከመ ፡ ግዩር ፡ አንተ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወበበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ አነ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገረ ።
You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt. Therefore I command you to do this thing.
